Hockomock Playoff Schedule & Scoreboard – 02/28/14

Here are today’s Hockomock playoff games.

Boys Basketball
D1 South

#3 Mansfield, 63 vs. #11 Brookline, 49 – Final – Rocky DeAndrade scored a team-high 20 points and Kyle Wisnieski added 16 points. Junior Michael Boen had a near double-double with nine points and 12 rebounds. Mansfield advances to play #2 Catholic Memorial in the D1 South Semifinals. The game is on Tuesday night at UMass Boston with the time to be announced.

D2 South
#8 Canton, 56 @ #1 Bishop Feehan, 73 – Final – Senior Sam Larson scored a team-high 17 points, senior Tristin Morris added 16 points and Ato Botsio chipped in with 12 points. Canton is eliminated from the postseason.

#10 Sharon, 69 @ #2 Whitman-Hanson, 58 – Final – Senior Jimmy Fritzson scored a team-high 29 points and classmate Brian Mukasa added 27 points for the Eagles. The game was knotted at 54-54 before Sharon finished the game on a 15-4 run. Sharon advances to the D2 South Semifinals to take on #11 Walpole. 

Girls Basketball – D1 Central
#4 Franklin, 48 vs. #5 Wachusett, 44 – Final – Julianne Pisani scored a team-high 22 points and added four assists. Tracy Pisani chipped with nine rebounds and five points and Olivia Adiletto scored seven points. Franklin advances to the D1 Central Semifinals to take on #1 Holy Name on Tuesday at WPI. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30

Hockey – D3 South
#21 Foxboro, 1 vs. #5 Hanover, 11 – Final – Tim Lucianio (Liam Lynch) scored Foxboro’s lone goal of the game. Foxboro is eliminated from the postseason.

Here are today’s Hockomock playoff games.

Boys Basketball – D1 Central
#5 Franklin, 56 @  #4 Wachusett, 38 – Final – Chris Rodgers scored a game-high 16 points and Marcus Giese, Timmy Prunier and Quenten Harrell all chipped in with 10 points. The Panthers advance to face No. 9 Worcester South on Sunday at WPI at 6:30.

Girls Basketball
D1 South
#8 King Philip, 36 @ #1 Braintree, 58 – FinalAt halftime KP trailed just 24-18. Amanda Johnson scored 13 points to lead the Warriors and Alicia Cuoco added eight points. King Philip is eliminated from the postseason.

#7 Mansfield, 49 @ #2 Brockton, 62 – Final - Janet Maher led Mansfield with 15 points, Caroline Maher added 11 points and Jackie Carchedi chipped in with six points. The Hornets cut the deficit to three halfway through the fourth quarter but the Boxers finished the game with a 14-5 run. Mansfield is eliminated from the postseason.

D2 South
#13 Foxboro, 52 @ #12 Stoughton, 47 – FinalKatherine Tamulionis scored 21 points and had nine rebounds for the Warriors. Ashley Medeiros scored 14 for Stoughton. Foxboro advances to play No. 1 Duxbury in D2 South semifinal at Massassoit. Stoughton is eliminated from the postseason.

#15 Oliver Ames, 50 @ #7 Sharon, 52 – FinalKarlie O’Driscoll scored 15 point had eight steals and eight rebounds. Lily Abarbanel added 13 for Sharon. Michaela Lievi scored 15 points to lead OA and Kate Holleran added 14 points and seven rebounds. Sharon advances to face No. 3 O’Bryant at Massassoit. Oliver Ames is eliminated from the postseason.

Hockey – D2 South
#13 North Attleboro, 1 @ Medway (@ Franklin), 2 – Final (OT)Erik Clements (from Sean Young) scored the lone goal for the Rocketeers. Senior Matt Raposo made 27 saves in net for the Rocketeers.
