Boys Basketball – D1 Central Finals
#5 Franklin, 48 vs. #2 St. John’s, 55 – Final – Marcus Giese dropped a team-high 17 points and added 10 rebounds and six blocks. Chris Rodgers and Dylan Reno each scored 10 points and sophomore Tim Prunier added nine points. Franklin is eliminated from the postseason.

Hockey – D2 South Semifinals
#10 Oliver Ames, 0 vs. #3 Medfield, 3 – Final – Medfield scored two empty-net goals in the final minute of play. Junior goalie Jimmy Tierney finished with 33 saves in the loss for the Tigers. Oliver Ames is eliminated from the postseason.

#5 Canton, 7 vs. #1 Plymouth South, 1 – Final – Canton goals scored by Bobby Mullaney (Andrew Howlett), Brian Hagan, Brendan Logan (Kevin O’Brien, Bobby Mullaney), Brian Hagan (2, Jerry Harding, James Jenkins), Matt Lazaro (John Femia, Ben Lodge), John Femia (Justin Slocum), and Jerry Harding (DJ Trerice). Canton advances to the D2 South Finals against #3 Medfield on Sunday, March 9 at 4:45 at Gallo Arena.

Boys Basketball – D2 South Semifinals
#10 Sharon, 72 vs. #11 Walpole, 57 – Final – Senior Brian Mukasa had a double-double with 21 points and 12 boards, Jimmy Fritzson scored a game-high 29 points and added five boards and sophomore Jordan Mello-Klein added 12 points for the Eagles. Sharon will now play #12 Milton in the D2 South Finals on Saturday, March 8th at UMass Boston. The game is scheduled to tip off at 12:00PM.
