Franklin senior Ally Bonnet-Eymard has been selected as the HockomockSports.com Player of the Week, presented by Morse Insurance, for March 21 through March 27. Bonnet-Eymard is the 16th player chosen as Player of the Week for the 2020-21 school year and third in the fall II season.
Bonnet-Eymard, Franklin’s leading hitter from a year ago, helped the Panthers rebound from their first loss of the season to pick up a pair of three-set wins against Taunton and remain in a first-place tie with King Philip for the Kelley-Rex division title (which both teams shared last season).
Following a five-set loss over the weekend to KP, Franklin bounced back with a sweep of Taunton. Bonnet-Eymard paced the Panthers offensively with eight kills. Two days later, Bonnet-Eymard dominated the rematch, again lifting Franklin to a sweep. She finished with 18 kills and three aces in the second game against Taunton. Franklin faces Mansfield and Attleboro in the next two weeks in search of a third straight league title.
The Player of the Week, presented by Morse Insurance, is selected by the HockomockSports.com staff. Nominations can be submitted throughout the week up until Saturday night at midnight. There may be a poll posted on every Sunday with the nominations. The results of the poll influence the selection but do not strictly dictate the decision.
