Taunton, 0 @ Attleboro, 4 – Final – Will Halben set up two goals and scored one himself, leading the Bombardiers to a big win at home. Halben had two assists in the opening half, setting up sophomore Justin Lurssen twice as the Bombardiers took a 2-0 advantage into halftime. Joey Soucy and Halben scored in the second half for Attleboro.
Foxboro, 2 @ Sharon, 2 – Final – Sharon scored first and last, the final tally in the final five minutes to earn a draw with visiting Foxboro. Junior Michael Baur opened the scoring on a corner kick to put the Eagles up 1-0. Foxboro tied things up with under two minutes to go in the first half when Dylan Barreira finished off a service from Brian Gardner. Gardner put Foxboro ahead in the second half with his first career goal, getting on the end of a service from Joe Cusack. Baur brought the Eagles level with a penalty kick in the 76th minute.
Oliver Ames, 0 @ Franklin, 2 – Final – After a scoreless first half, Franklin scored a pair of goals early in the second half to earn a victory over visiting Oliver Ames. Tim Duval opened the scoring for the Panthers off an assist from Nitin Chaudhury. Before the 50th minute, the Panthers added to their lead when Nick Barry set up Donny Tappin to make it 2-0.
Mansfield, 1 @ King Philip, 0 – Final – Mansfield grabbed the lead late in the first half and fended off the Warriors the rest of the way to grab two points on the road. Freshman Dylan Buchanan headed in a corner kick from Luke Savoie in the 32nd minute for the game-winner. Cam Bovey made eight saves for the Hornets to record the shutout.
Stoughton, 1 @ Milford, 9 – Final – Milford junior Walisson de Oliveira scored three goals in the first half as the Hawks picked up a big win at home. de Oliveira finished with four goals and an assist as Milford assumed a 4-0 lead at half. Anthony Salvador and Omar Lema each had a goal and an assist, and Lucas Da Silva and Pedro Da Silva each scored once for Milford. Leo Coelho, Jordan Borges, and Tiago Carvalho all had one assist. Stoughton’s Ted Lucas scored his second goal of the season, heading in a corner from John Neves.

Attleboro @ Taunton, 6:30
North Attleboro, 1 @ Canton, 1 – Final – Canton scored less than a minute into the contest but North Attleboro was able to pull even before the break, and that’s how the game finished. After the Bulldogs seized a 1-0 lead in the first minute, North Attleboro’s Ashlyn Gaulin scored in the 19th minute off an assist from Kayla Pasqual to level the score. North Attleboro head coach Bill Wallace said Haley Ferrin, Lydia Santos, Bri Westcott and Sam Hawkins played well in the middle for Big Red.
Sharon, 0 @ Foxboro, 7 – Final – Foxboro earned a big win at home and clinched the Davenport division title outright, the program’s first Hock championships since 1993. Lizzy Davis had a goal (assisted by Kailee McCabe) and two assists, setting up Jordyn Collins twice as Foxboro rolled at home. Collins also had an assist, setting up Kenzi Fraser. Kailee McCabe, Katelyn Mollica, and Yara Fawaz all scored once for Foxboro.
Franklin, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – Final – Oliver Ames took a 1-0 lead late in the first half but Franklin equalized early in the second half to help the Panthers grab a point on the road. Daniella Ferrini put OA ahead in the 38th minute but Sam Powderly tied things up in the 44th minute on an assist from Anna Balkus. Bre Atwood had 10 saves in net for the Panthers while Emily Meyers and Emma O’Donnell both had strong games in net for the Tigers.

Milford, 5 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – Stoughton’s goal was scored by Gabi Diaz on an assist from Nicole Weir.
Field Hockey
Taunton, 1 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final – Taunton scored just seconds into the game and held on the rest of the way to earn the win and punch its ticket to the postseason. Alana Tavares scored 22 seconds into the game on an assist from Cierra Bartel for the lone goal of the game. Taunton coach Liz Hathaway said Jocelyn Pagliuca, Jillian Pagliuca, and Lauren Torres all had strong games and goalie Emma Sheehan made 11 saves for the shutout.
Canton, 4 @ North Attleboro, 1 – Final
Foxboro, 7 @ Sharon, 0 – Final
Oliver Ames, 1 @ Franklin, 4 – Final – Franklin raced out to a 3-0 lead and never looked back against visiting Oliver Ames. Regan Paterson (from Ashley Reutlinger) opened the scoring in the 7th minute, Amanda Lewandowski (from Cassi Ronan) made it 2-0 in the 11th minute, and Victoria Quinn (from Lewandowski) scored in the 18th minute for the 3-0 lead. Ronan (from Lewandowski) made it 4-0 midway through the second half. Georgia Costello got the Tigers on the board on an assists from Kayla Lozzi. Anna Jardine had eight saves for the Panthers while Kara Orstrander made 10 saves for the Tigers.
Stoughton, 1 @ Milford, 1 – Final – Click here for a recap of this game – Stoughton opened the scoring before the midway point of the opening half but Milford knotted the game before the break, and that’s how the game finished. After a good hustle play from Brittani Paul, Haley Nelson put a shot on goal and Allie Howe knocked in the rebound to put Stoughton up 1-0. In the 23rd minute, Milford’s Tatiana Martinez found classmate Kathryn Swineford open in front for the tying goal.
Mansfield, 0 @ King Philip, 2 – Final – King Philip scored once in each half to earn a hard fought win over visiting Mansfield. The Warriors took the lead in the 18th minute when Claire Lawler found the back of the cage on a pass from Meghan MacDonald. KP added an insurance goal at the midway point of the second half as Alli Meehan scored on an assist from Kate Lindmark.
Volleyball
Taunton, 2 @ Attleboro, 3 – Final – Attleboro defended its home court, knocking off visiting Taunton 3-2 (26-24, 25-15, 15-25, 21-25, 15-10). Attleboro won the first two sets but Taunton rallied to tie it 2-2 before the Bombardiers prevailed in the fifth set. Ana Leonardo had 13 assists, six kills, and four aces, Amanda Kadisveskis added seven kills, five blocks, three aces, and three assists, and Chelsea Calcagni finished with eight kills and a pair of aces for the Bombardiers.
Canton, 1 @ North Attleboro, 3 – Final – After falling behind 1-0, the Rocketeers rattled off three straight wins to stun the Bulldogs, 3-1 (22-25, 27-25, 26-24, 25-23). Hayley Gaskin paced the North Attleboro offense while 41 assists with Tatiana Sotelo (22 kills) and Kylie Melanson (18 kills) leading the charge at the net. For Canton, Erin Devine had 10 kills and five blocks, and Nicole brown finished with 28 assists, 20 digs, and four kills.
Foxboro, 0 @ Sharon, 3 – Final
Oliver Ames, 0 @ Franklin, 3 – Final – Franklin took care of business on its home court, handing Oliver Ames a 3-0 loss (25-17, 25-17, 25-18). Lauren McGrath dished out 26 assists for the Panthers with Maggie Doyle (four aces) recording nine kills and Lily Galluccio adding seven kills. Riley Marino anchored the Panther defense with 12 digs. For Oliver Ames, Jordan Bosse had 12 kills, Allie Kemp handed out 20 assists and Sadie Homer finished with 23 digs.
Mansfield, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – King Philip defended home court with a 3-0 sweep of Mansfield (25-18, 25-21, 25-11). Shayla Weitzman had a strong game for the Warriors with eight aces, nine digs, and 18 service points, Nicole Coughlan added eight kills and three blocks, and Lily Carlow chipped in with seven digs and a pair of aces. Emily Dardinski led the Hornet offense with six kills, while Greenly Kelly and Olivia McGrath each finished with five kills apiece.
Stoughton, 3 @ Milford, 2 – Final – Stoughton prevailed with a 3-2 win on the road over Milford. Delaney Nagel went on a tear at the service line, finishing with seven aces in the fifth set to help the Knights grab the win. Amaya Morris led the Black Knights offensively with 14 kills and 12 blocks, while Molly Turner and Hanna Holden combined for 21 kills.

Foxboro, 1 @ Franklin, 1 – Final – Franklin’s Ashley Reutlinger scored at 1:11 of the second half to help the Panthers earn a tie against Foxboro. Reutlinger’s goal was assisted by Regan Paterson. Christina Luccini made 10 saves in net and Marissa Canesi had a strong game defensively for the Panthers.
North Attleboro, 1 @ King Philip, 7 – Final – King Philip’s Claire Lawler and Alli Meehan each had three points as the Warriors rolled to a big win at home. Meehan scored a hat trick while Lawler scored once and had two assists. Kate Lindmark also had multiple points, notching two assists while Meghan MacDonald (assist), Dana Truini (assist), and Nicole Connor (goal) each had one point.

After a back and forth contest, Attleboro broke into the win column with a 3-2 (25-23, 19-25, 25-22, 11-25, 15-11) decision over Sharon. Ana Leonardo paced the offense with 15 assists and four kills, Amanda Kadeseveski had five blocks, four kills, and two aces, and Chelsea Calcagni had 10 kills, six aces, three digs, and a block for the Bombardiers.
Canton, 3 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Canton went on the road and earned a 3-0 sweep (25-14, 25-23, 25-16) over host Taunton. For Canton, Taylor Harris had 11 kills, two aces, and 12 digs, Erin Devine added six kills and three blocks, Nicole Brown had 14 assists, 11 digs and five kills, and Megan McDonough held the defense together and tallied 20 digs. For Taunton, Kamila Cuevas had a strong game at the net with nine kills and Hailey Sullivan made her presence felt in the back row, with 26 passes and six digs.
Foxboro, 0 @ Franklin, 3 – Final – Franklin improved to 10-0 overall this season with a 3-0 win over Foxboro (25-12, 25-13, 25-16). Ellie Wisniewski (five aces) and Peyton Arone (two aces) paced the offense with seven kills apiece, Riley Marino had 13 digs, and Lauren McGrath continued to have a strong season with 27 assists.
North Attleboro, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – King Philip defended home court with a 3-0 win (25-23, 25-12, 25-21) over visiting North Attleboro. The Warriors were led by the strong attacking trio of Nicole Coughlan (11 kills, 11 service points), Catherine Waldeck (eight kills, three blocks), and Kristen Masse (five kills).
Milford, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final – Oliver Ames fended off visiting Milford to earn a 3-0 sweep (25-16, 25-15, 25-23). Jordan Bosse had a strong game for the Tigers, recording 13 kills, 10 digs, and two aces. Sadie Homer added 28 digs and Allie Kemp finished with 25 assists for the Tigers.
Stoughton, 3 @ Mansfield, 1 – Final – Stoughton picked up its seventh win of the season, earning a 3-1 (25-20, 25-15, 24-26, 25-16) over Mansfield. Molly Turner led the way for the Black Knights, recording 21 service points including eight aces, 13 kills and 18 digs. Hanna Holden and Mia Bennett were strong on defense, combining for 42 digs in the win. For Mansfield, Greenly Kelly had 11 kills and eight service points while Katie Dardinski and Abby Sullivan each had eight service points.

Attleboro, 172 @ Mansfield, 158 – Final – Mansfield sophomore Ava Haggis was the match medalist, shooting a 38 to pace the Hornets to a win at Norton Country Club. Sophomores Nate Morreale, Ryan Dow, and Jason See each shot a 40 for the Hornets. Attleboro’s Ethan Johnson had a team-low round of 40 while Ben Wood carded a 42.
Canton, 161 @ Sharon, 153 – Final – Sharon senior Corey Carter and sophomore Ethan Skelly each shot 2-under par to pace the Eagles to a key division win over Canton. Carter and Skelly each shot 34, senior Max Brody carded a 41 and senior Sam Fergenbaum finished at 44. Canton’s Chris Lavoie had a team-low round of 38, Tommy Dimock and Mike Leonetti each shot 40, and Ryan Nolte added a round of 43 for the Bulldogs.
Taunton, 189 @ Franklin, 167 – Final – Matt D’Errico earned match medalist honors as the Panthers notched a win at Franklin Country Club. D’Errico shot a round of 40 to pace the Panthers while Gerard Collins chipped in with a 42 for Franklin.
Foxboro, 161 @ Milford, 172 – Final
North Attleboro, 161 @ Oliver Ames, 150 – Final – Oliver Ames defended its home course with a win over visiting North Attleboro. Nolan Donze and Thomas Walsh shared team medalist honors, each finishing with a round of 37 to lead the Tigers. Steve Heino and Ryan Bock each shot 38 in OA’s win. Matt Wanless earned match medalist honors, leading the Rocketeers with a 35.

Girls Cross Country
Taunton, 35 @ Franklin, 20 – Final – Franklin senior Julia Fenerty earned her first career cross country win and the Panthers swept the top three spots in a win over Taunton. Fenerty crossed in 19:21 while Kat Walbert and Sydney Hawkins took second and third, respectively, for the Panthers. Taunton’s Kailey Melito-Santos was the top finisher for the Tigers, taking fourth overall.

Milford’s Olivia Sullivan scored the game-winning goal while Hawks goalie Olivia Marshall made five saves in net. Stoughton head coach Tara Daniels said Olivia O’Neil, Nicole Weir, and Nikki Anderson all had strong games defensively for the Knights.

Mansfield, 2 @ Canton, 4 – Final – Canton’s Meghan LaBelle and Maggie Malloy each scored a pair of goals as the Bulldogs picked up their second win in as many days.

Franklin’s Victoria Quinn scored with under 10 minutes to play to give the Panthers a win on the road at North Attleboro. Quinn got her stick on a shot from Cassi Ronan to put the Panthers up 1-0 with eight minutes left. Christina Luccini made a save on a penalty stroke early in the second half to keep the game tied.
Stoughton, 0 @ King Philip, 6 – Final – Four different Warriors had at least two points as King Philip recorded a big win over Stoughton. Alli Meehan had two goals and an assist while Claire Lawlor, Dana Truini, and Nicole Connor each scored once and had one helper. Meghan MacDonald also scored once while Kate Lindmark added an assist. KP co-head coach Kim Meehan added that Christina Gifun, Emma Izydorczak, and Sammy Robinson played well defensively for the Warriors.

For Attleboro, Ana Leonardo had 16 assists, a dig, a kill, and a block while Chelsea Calcagni paced the Bombardiers’ offense with nine kills.
Mansfield, 0 @ Canton, 3 – Final – Canton edged out Mansfield by two points in the first set and went on to complete the sweep to beat Mansfield at home (25-23, 25-10, 25-28). Taylor Harris paced the Bulldogs’ offense with 11 kills, 11 digs, a pair of aces, and a block. Bailey Shea had a strong game at the net as well, registering two kills and a block. Nicole Brown added five kills, five aces, and 16 assists for Canton. For Mansfield, Greenly Kelly had nine kills ad four blocks, Sam Sternberg added 14 digs, and Abby Sullivan finished with nine service points.

Franklin, 24 @ Mansfield, 31 – Final – The top five runners finished within an 11-second span and the top 10 was all within a minute in a very exciting finish at Mansfield. Franklin junior Tyler Brogan crossed first, edging Mansfield’s Patrick Heavey by just two seconds. Franklin senior Mike Hagen and sophomore Nick Calitri took third and fourth overall while Mansfield’s Jason Windvogel rounded out the top five.

Hornet sophomore Tessa Lancaster was first overall, jumping ahead early and never looked back. Julia Fenerty was the first Panther to finish, taking second overall.

Jake Blaney chipped in with a 41 for Franklin while Ethan Johnson and Jack Handy led Attleboro, each shooting a 43.
Stoughton, 189 @ Foxboro, 169 – Final – Foxboro’s Noah Hicks earned medalist honors with a low-round of 41, leading the Warriors to a win over Stoughton. Charlie Baughan and Jon Dowling each shot 42 and Matt Hague had a 44 for the Warriors. Stoughton’s Max Huminik had a career-low round of 43 to lead the Black Knights.
King Philip, 184 @ Taunton, 187 – Final – King Philip juniors Ray Mullin, Jack Hastry, Nate Ihley, and Kayla Shuberth all shoot 46 to lead the Warriors to a win against Taunton.

Stoughton, 0 vs. Quincy, 4 – Final – Quincy scored twice in each half to pull out the victory. Sophomores Nolan Gerome and Mateus Ribeiro made their first varsity starts for the Black Knights and Fabio Ponce de Leon made his return from injury to help bolster the Stoughton midfield and create several scoring opportunities.
Girls Soccer
Taunton, 1 @ Sharon, 2 – Final – Emily Griffin and Maxine Gordon scored the goals for Sharon to help the Eagles pick up their first win of the season. Jessie Taurnoff had an assist for the Eagles. Emily O’Gara scored the Taunton goal, assisted by Khy Camaro. Izzy Anslow made four saves in the loss.
Stoughton, 1 @ Quincy, 7 – Final – Maggie Veliotis scored the lone goal for the Black Knights.

Canton, 0 @ King Philip, 2 – Final – Alli Meehan scored both of the goals for the Warriors to help KP win the battle of defending league champs. Meehan scored the first goal after nine minutes with an unassisted run through the Canton defense and the second off an assist from Nicole Connor. Grace May made two saves in the win and Sammy Robinson played well in the KP defense.
Foxboro, 4 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – Final – Sophia DiCenso scored a hat trick and Jaime Notarangelo added a goal for the Warriors. Hannah Stryke scored with two minutes remaining in the game off a Maggie Woods assist. OA was helped going forward in the second half by Brynna Courneen, Cassie Gennis, Kayla Lozzi, and Woods.
Stoughton, 0 @ Franklin, 8 – Final – Amanda Lewandowski led the way for the Panthers with two goals and two assists to help Franklin pull away in the second half. Regan Paterson had a hat trick and Victoria Quinn and Cassi Ronan each had a goal and an assist for the win. Ashley Reutlinger scored once and Emma DiPhillipo had an assist, while Anna Jardine had five saves in the win. Kayla Laboy made 11 saves for the Black Knights.

North Attleboro, 3 @ Attleboro, 2 – Final – North took the fifth set 15-9 to pull out the victory. The Rocketeers won 25-15, 25-27, 25-17, 25-27, 15-9. Chelsea Calcagni had eight aces, one dig and nine kills in the loss, while Ana Leonardo had five aces and 16 assists and Amanda Kadesevskis had five aces, four kills, and three blocks for the Bombardiers.
Canton, 3 @ King Philip, 1 – Final – Canton won 26-24, 19-25, 25-21, 25-15 in a back and forth match. The Bulldogs battled back from 20-12 and 24-20 down in the opening set thanks to strong serving from Julia Minichiello. KP also led 11-4 in the second set and went on to even the match. Canton held on to win the final two sets after several lead changes. Erin Devine had nine kills and eight blocks in the win and Megan McDonough had 15 digs. Canton also got five kills and 15 digs from Taylor Harris, while Nicole Brown had a strong all-around game with 18 assists, 13 digs, and five kills. Caroline Robertson had eight kills for the Warriors, who also got seven kills and three aces from Nicole Coughlin, five kills from Katherine Waldeck, and three kills and two digs from Kat Kmetz.
Foxboro, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final – OA won 25-18, 25-14, 25-14. Sarah Litwack had 20 assists and led the Tigers on and off the floor in the win. Sadie Homer had 27 digs and three aces and Jackie Raymond had nine kills, six aces, and three blocks in the win.
Stoughton, 0 @ Franklin, 3 – Final – The Panthers stayed unbeaten with a 25-15, 25-17, 25-13 victory. Ellie Wisnieswki had seven kills and nine digs for the Panthers. Maggie Doyle had five kills and five solo blocks and was a force at the net for Franklin. Hailey Sanders and Peyton Arone each added five kills, libero Riley Marino had 10 digs and a pair of aces, and setter Lauren McGrath had 30 assists and five aces for a very balanced Franklin attack.
Milford, 3 @ Mansfield, 1 – Final – The Hawks won the match in four sets (21-25, 25-20, 29-27, 25-22). Greenly Kelly had 14 services points for the Hornets, while Emily Dardinski had 10 kills and Olivia McGrath had six kills in the loss.

Oliver Ames, 151 @ Attleboro, 155 – Final – Despite Attleboro’s lowest team score of the season, OA pulled out the victory by four strokes. Thomas Walsh led the way with a one-under round of 34, while Jared Spillane, Ryan Bock, Bradley Powers, and Tate Hadges all shot rounds of 39. Ethan Johnson matched the low round for Attleboro with a 34 and Jake Moulton shot a 38. Ben Wood shot a 40 and Jack Handy a 43 for the Bombardiers
Canton, 169 @ King Philip, 168 – Final – KP pulled off a 1-stroke win against Canton to even its record on the season. Nate Ihley shot a 39 to lead the way for the Warriors, matched by a 39 from Canton’s Mike Leonetti. Kayla Schuberth, Jared Curran, and Jack Hastry all shot rounds of 43 for KP. Mike Gobbi and Thomas Singleton each carded a 43 for the Bulldogs and Ryan Nolte shot a 44.
Franklin, 174 @ Taunton, 206 – Final – Matt D’Errico shot the low round of the day for Franklin, carding a 39 in the win.

Stoughton, 0 @ Canton, 2 – Final – Canton scored once and each half, rolling to a win over visiting Stoughton. Griffin Roach put the Dogs up 1-0 midway through the first half, finishing off a throw-in from Paul Corcoran. Early in the second half, Simon Cruz doubled the hosts’ lead, burying a corner kick. Stoughton’s Ryan Reis had a pair of chances late for the visitors, with a header and a volley, but Canton goalie Alejandro Correal made the save both times. Stoughton goalie Carter Gerome finished with 17 saves.
Foxboro, 0 @ Milford, 4 – Final – Walisson de Oliveira scored a hat trick to pace the Hawks to a big win over visiting Foxboro. Sophomore Leo Coelho opened the scoring in the 10th minute for the Hawks, de Oliveira doubled the lead in the 25th minute, and then tallied twice in the second half. Coelho scored on a through ball from Jordan Borges, who also set de Oliveira up to make it 2-0. In the second half, de Oliveira scored directly off a free kick, finding the top corner, and then again off a counter. Josh Orellana made four saves for the shutout in his season debut while Zach Browne and Joao Boaventura played well defensively for the Hawks.
Franklin, 0 @ Mansfield, 2 – Final – Mansfield senior Luke Savoie continued his hot start to the season, scoring a pair of goals in the Hornets’ win over Franklin. After a throw from Cam Eddy, freshman Dylan Buchanan found Savoie to put the Hornets up 1-0 in the 22nd minute. And just before halftime, Graham Wells played Savoie in behind the defense and the senior finished one-on-one with the keeper. Anthony Salisbury (five saves) and Cam Bovey (five saves) combined for the shutout for Mansfield.
Taunton, 0 @ King Philip, 0 – Final – King Philip carried the play and threatened to scored but settled for a scoreless draw with Taunton. Brian McCarthy, Andrew Thompson, and Wes Orzell had strong games defensively while goalie Nick Beltramini came up big on a handful of occasions for the Warriors.
North Attleboro, 0 @ Sharon, 0 – Final
Girls Soccer
Attleboro, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 2 – Final – Camryn O’Connor scored the game-winner for OA in the final two minutes of the game. Daniella Ferrini gave the Tigers the lead 1-0 at the break (assisted by Leah Johnson), but the Bombardiers evened the score in the second half. OA coach Britt Sellmayer said Maeve Hogan and Emma Pereira played well.
Canton, 5 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – Stoughton coach Tara Daniels credited Gabi Diaz and Corina Kavanagh for holding things together for the Black Knights defense.
Foxboro, 5 @ Milford, 0 – Final – Kailee McCabe scored a pair of goals and had an assist for the Warriors, while Grace Ferguson, Lizzie Davis, and Jordyn Collins each scored one in the win. Katelyn Mollica, Alyssa Vandenboom and Davis each had an assist. Foxboro coach Katie Stalcup said that the Warriors got off to a slow start but “once we found our game we took control of the game.”

Sharon, 0 @ North Attleboro, 8 – Final – Ashlyn Gaulin had four goals and two assists to lead North Attleboro to a big win. Haley Ferrin scored the opener for North with a header on a corner, Lydia Santos had a brace and Lily Cameron added a goal on a penalty kick. Kayla Pasquel had three assists and Liv Bishop had one. Emma Noreck and Regan Fein split time in net to keep the clean sheet.
King Philip, 8 @ Taunton, 2 – Final – Avery Snead and Chloe Layne each scored hat tricks, as KP picked up a big road win to stay atop the Kelley-Rex division. Snead opened the scoring off a Layne assist 20 minutes into the game and then Layne doubled the lead off a Faye Veilleux assist five minutes later. Megan Flanagan scored of an Alex Wapenski assist in the 37th to cut the lead in half (the first goal KP has allowed this season), but the Warriors scored five times after the break. Abby Baker scored off an Ally Stanton assist a minute into the second half, Snead scored from Layne four minutes later, and Layne scored from Snead in the 47th minute. Kiana Fernandes got one back with a goal from Paige Tolan, but then Snead scored unassisted for KP, Layne scored from Makayla Griffin, and Jenny Montville tacked on an unassisted goal in the 76th minute. Grace Pimenta made four saves and Izzy Anslow made nine for the Tigers.
Field Hockey
Oliver Ames, 3 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final – Oliver Ames scored two goals in the first half and added an insurance tally in the second in a win over Attleboro. Sophomore Hannah Stryke gave the Tigers the lead with 11:26 left in the first half, finishing off a feed from Cassie Gennis. Gennis’ shot was tipped by Georgia Costello five minutes later to make it 2-0 heading into half. In the second half, Meghan Rockey capitalized on a rebound off the pads on a penalty corner in the second half to secure the win. Kara Ostrander in goal had 5 saves to secure her first shutout of the season. Attleboro’s Shaelyn Harrison had eight saves in net for the Bombardiers.

Franklin, 2 @ Mansfield, 4 – Final – For Franklin, Regan Patterson and Amanda Lewandowski each had first half goals but the Panthers fell on the road to Mansfield. Cassi Ronan set Paterson up at the 22nd mark of the first half while Maeve Ledwith assisted on Lewandowski’s goal just over four minutes later. Anna Jardine made 11 saves in net for Franklin.

Taunton, 0 @ King Philip, 4 – Final – “It was a great team effort from top to bottom,” said KP co-head coach Erin MacDonald. The Warriors scored twice in each half in the win. Nicole Connor (from Kate Lindmark) and Claire Lawlor (from Alli Meehan) put the hosts ahead 2-0 after 30 minutes of play. Connor made it 3-0 on an assist from Meehan, and Meehan capped the scoring (assisted by Lindmark).

Senior Sadie Homer added 16 digs, Allie Kemp finished with 15 assists, and Jordan Bosse chipped in with 12 kills and two aces. For Attleboro, Chelsea Calgagni had nine kills and an ace, Faith Hindy added two aces, and Ana Leonardo (two aces) dished out 13 assists.
Stoughton, 0 @ Canton, 3 – Final – Canton defended home court with a sweep over Davenport rival Stoughton (25-20, 25-21, 25-17). Julia Minichiello anchored the defense with an impressive performance for the Bulldogs, finishing with nine digs while adding 22 service points (three aces). Olivia Chinsen added 10 assists, four kills, and four aces while Nicole Brown and Taylor Harris combined for 16 kills. CHS head coach Pat Cawley said Liz Bickett impressed in her first varsity start, playing a strong match at the net.

Franklin, 3 @ Mansfield, 0 – Final – Franklin senior Lauren McGrath went on a 9-0 service run during the third set to help the Panthers put away a pesky Mansfield side, 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-5). McGrath also had 25 assists and two aces while Riley Marino added seven digs and two aces. Maggie Doyle had a team-high eight kills and three blocks, Ellie Wisniewski added seven kills, Peyton Arone chipped in with six kills, and Hailey Sanders finished with five kills for Franklin. For Mansfield, Sam Sternberg had 11 digs, Katie Dardinski had five digs, and Olivia McGrath finished with six kills.
Taunton, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – King Philip used strong serving to knock off visiting Taunton, 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-21). Kat Kmetz (two kills) had 11 aces and a total of 17 service points while Grace Ely (11 kills) added five aces with 10 service points. Nicole Coughlan added five kills and two blocks while Caroline Robertson finished with four kills and two blocks for King Philip. For Taunton, McKenzie Lucie (ace) led the back row with 10 digs and Kamila Cuevas had a strong game at the net.
North Attleboro, 3 @ Sharon, 1 – Final – After splitting the first two sets, North Attleboro edged the Eagles in each of the net two to get the win on the road (25-22, 21-25, 25-23, 25-17). Kylie Melanson went on a terrific service run in the first set to get the Rocketeers back in it and finished with eight kills. Joanna Collins-Bilyeu had 19 assists and Hayley Gaskin added 12 assists for Big Red.

Mansfield, 15 @ Attleboro, 45 – Final – Mansfield senior Paxton Howard crossed the finish line in just under 16 minutes to lead the Hornets to a win. Mansfield had the top six finishers and eight of the top 10. Attleboro sophomore Nate Seybert was the top runner for the Bombardiers, finishing seventh overall.

Canton’s Nicole Brown had an all around outstanding day with eight kills, 12 assists, and two aces while Sydney Gallery added five kills and was strong at the net. Megan McDonough ran the defense defense with 12 digs and added an ace for the Bulldogs.

Stoughton, 3 @ North Attleboro, 0 – Final – Stoughton notched its second straight road win to open the season, sweeping North Attleboro 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-9). Molly Turner served well for the Black Knights, recording seven aces and adding four kills and four blocks. Amaya Morris played well from the middle, killing six of her nine attempts.
Taunton, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final – Oliver Ames senior Caitlin Cavanaugh had a terrific game, leading the Tigers with 17 kills in a win over Taunton. Sadie Homer had 23 digs, Allie Kemp added 28 assists & six aces, Sarah Litwack chipped in with 15 assists and Jordan Bosse finished with eight kills and three aces.

Boys Soccer
Stoughton, 0 @ North Attleboro, 2 – Final – North Attleboro scored a pair of goals inside the final 10 minutes to grab two points against visiting Stoughton. Joe Hilf put the hosts ahead in the 75th minute, finishing off a corner kick from Joey Coscarella that was flicked on by James Sales. The Rocketeers grabbed a second in the 77th minute when Sales headed in a cross from Hilf on a short corner. North head coach Geoff Burgess said Evan Rosenberg and Gavin O’Malley played strong defense while Kyle Briere made two saves in the win. Stoughton goalie Carter Gerome made eight saves for the Black Knights.

Girls Soccer
North Attleboro, 8 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – North Attleboro senior Ashlyn Gaulin had her hand in six goals to help the Rocketeers open their season in style. Gaulin scored three goals and assisted on three more while Kayla Pasquel had a goal and two assists. Lily Cameron added two goals, Haley Ferrin and Lexi Sinacola each found the back of the net once, and Liz Smahi had an assist. Stoughton sophomore Rebecca Desousa scored off an assist from classmate Mackenzie Manning.

Field Hockey
King Philip, 4 @ Acton Boxboro, 1 – Final – King Philip raced out to a 3-0 lead at halftime and never looked back in a win over Acton Boxboro, ranked #4 in New England by MAX Field Hockey. Dana Truini opened the scoring just over four minutes into the game, deflecting in Alli Meehan’s shot off a breakaway. Meehan doubled the lead with an unassisted goal and then set up freshman Meghan MacDonald at the midway point to make it 3-0. MacDonald grabbed her second goal of the game off a pass from Claire Lawlor. Grace May had a solid game in net for the Warriors.
Volleyball
Attleboro, 0 @ Norton, 3 – Final – Attleboro was in every set but fell on the road to Norton (25-19, 25-18, 25-22). Jessica Matheson had three digs and two assists, Ana Leonardo had seven assists and an ace, and Chelsea Calcagni finished with five kills and two aces for the Bombardiers.
Golf
Canton, 161 @ Milford, 170 – Final – Canton’s Thomas Singleton fired a 38 to earn match medalist honors and help the Bulldogs open the season with a win. Chris Lavoie and Mike Gobbi each shot 41 while Tommy Dimock rounded out Canton’s scoring with a 42. Justin Applebee led Milford with a round of 40.
