Evan McEvoy set up Alex Leon for a left-footed shot that found the side netting at the far post to put KP up 1-0 in the 38th minute. Franklin’s Donny Tappin made a nice run down the left side, setting up Lucas Moura for the equalizer in the 61st minute.

Attleboro, 1 @ Mansfield, 3 – FinalMansfield’s Abby Varricchione scored a pair of goals as the Hornets grabbed their first win of the season with a 3-1 decision over Attleboro. Grace Danehy also scored for the Hornets in the win. Attleboro’s Ava Haggerty made 24 saves while Anna Beck scored for the Bombardiers.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Taunton, 2 – FinalTaunton’s Emily Gannon made five saves to record her first career shutout in a win over visiting Oliver Ames. Kaysie DeMoura scored to give Taunton a 1-0 lead while Alana Tavares added a second tally for the host Tigers.

North Attleboro, 4 @ Stoughton, 1 – FinalGrace Cole scored a hat trick to lead North Attleboro to a win on the road over Stoughton. Emma Bailey also scored for the Rocketeers while Abby Massarelli scored the Stoughton goal.

Attleboro, 0 @ Mansfield, 3 – FinalMansfield defended home court with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-14) win over visiting Attleboro. Julia Kelly had seven kills along with 20 service points. Julia Buiser and Steph Walker also had strong days at the serving line, recording 12 service points apiece.

Canton, 3 @ Foxboro, 1 – FinalCanton bounced back from dropping the first game to win the next three (23-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-6) to pick up a win on the road. The Warriors had a strong first set but the Bulldogs regrouped to get the win, led by 17 kills from Taylor Harris and 19 assists and seven aces from Olivia Chinsen. Grace Boudreau led Foxboro with 11 digs and seven kills, Maddie O’Brien had six assists, Emma Keefe added six aces and three kills, and Shakirah Ketant finished with three kills and two blocks. Both Pam Nelson (10 digs) and Grace Fortune (seven digs) had strong days defensively for Foxboro.

Franklin, 3 @ King Philip, 2 – FinalKing Philip rallied from a two-game deficit to force a fifth set but Franklin came away with a 3-2 decision (29-27, 25-21, 16-25, 21-25, 15-10). Junior Allyson Bonnet-Eymard led the way for the Panthers with 21 kills, seven aces, and 11 digs while Bridget Jackson had a strong showing with 13 kills and four blocks. Emma Chase added eight kills and Jill Benoit finished with 16 digs for Franklin. King Philip’s Catherine Waldeck had 11 kills and five blocks, and Nicole Coughlan chipped in with seven kills, two aces, and two blocks. Emma Brooks (six aces, eight digs) and Lily Carlow (three aces, seven digs) both had strong games defensively and serving for KP.

Milford, 3 @ Sharon, 0 – FinalMilford went on the road and pulled out a tight 3-0 (26-24, 25-23, 25-22) win over Sharon. Allison Corsini had six kills while Julia Riordan added 14 assists and four aces for the Hawks.

North Attleboro, 3 @ Stoughton, 0 – FinalNorth Attleboro’s Haley Gaskin dished out 25 assists to help the Rocketeers pick up a 3-0 (25-11, 25-22, 25-13) win on the road over Stoughton. Kylie Melanson paced the Rocketeers’ offense with 15 kills while Joanna Collins-Bilyeu had a strong day serving with six aces.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Taunton, 0 – Final Oliver Ames senior Allie Kemp dished out 24 assists, including the 1,000th of her career, to lead the visiting Tigers to a 3-0 (25-9, 25-12, 25-17) win over Taunton. Kemp also had five aces while Alison Barth had 18 digs, Jordan Bosse finished with 10 kills, and Sarah Morley finished with six aces and six digs.

Golf
Canton, 158 @ Milford, 172 – FinalCanton’s Chris Lavoie and Will Gefteas shared medalist honors to lead the Bulldogs to a win. Lavoie and Gefteas (first time being a medalist) both shot 39 while Thomas Singleton and James O’Keeffe each carded a round of 40. Milford’s Tyler Wetherbee had a team-low round of 40.

Stoughton, 2 @ Foxboro, 6 – FinalStoughton scored a pair of first half goals but Foxboro had four straight unanswered goals to pick up a win on the road. The Black Knights opened the scoring in the 16th minute but headed into halftime down 3-2, after being tied 2-2 late in the half. Foxboro added three more goals in the second half. Joe Cusack had four assists and Shane VandenBoom added a pair of goals and an assist to pace the Warriors. Dylan Barreira, Ronnie MacLellan, and Max Beigel all scored once while Nic Beigel had an assists. Stoughton freshman Dante Eschleman scored on a free kick to put the Knights up 1-0. Senior Carter Gerome also scored his first career goal for the Black Knights, assisted by Ryan Reis.

Franklin, 3 @ Taunton, 1 – FinalFranklin built a 1-0 lead at half, doubled that advantage in the second half, and walked away with a 3-1 decision to qualify for the state tournament. Nick Barry opened the scoring on an assist from Donny Tappin to give the Panthers a lead by halftime. Tim Duval and Lucas Moura scored second half goals for Franklin.

Mansfield senior Ethan Brill-Cass scored game-winner in the 78th minute to give the Hornets a win and at least a share of the Kelley-Rex division title. After a long throw from Dylan Buchanan, Oliver Ames’ clearance was knocked down by a partial block from a Mansfield player. Brill-Cass latched onto the loose ball and placed it into the far corner for the winner.

Milford, 0 @ North Attleboro, 0 – FinalBoth teams had chances to find the back of the net but didn’t convert as North, Milford settled for their second draw of the season. Kyle Briere made three saves for the Rocketeers while Tiago Carvalho and Lucas Da Silva had strong games for the Hawks.

Girls Soccer
Attleboro, 6 @ King Philip, 0 – FinalKP broke the game open with five goals in the second half. Avery Snead scored a hat trick and had an assist for the Warriors. Snead opened the scoring off an assist by Chloe Layne in the first half. Snead doubled the lead with a penalty kick in the second half and then assisted on a Layne goal. Ally Stanton made it 4-0 from Layne and then Layne assisted on Snead’s third. Layne wrapped up the scoring with her second goal (and fourth point) off an assist by Molly MacDonald.

Foxboro, 8 @ Stoughton, 1 – FinalJordyn Collins had two goals and two assists for the unbeaten Warriors, who maintain their lead at the top of the Davenport division. Mackenzi Fraser had two goals and an assist, Kailee McCabe had a pair of goals, Aislinn Serveas scored her first goal of the season (assisted by Katie Huether), and Lizzy Davis chipped in with a goal as well.

Taunton, 0 @ Franklin, 4 – FinalAnna Balkus scored twice and Calen Frongillo had a pair of assists to lift Franklin to a big win to keep pace with league-leading Mansfield. Sydney St. Marie and Bridgette Ginley also scored goals for the Panthers. Hailey Toolin and Kaylee DeSimone each had assists. Franklin goalie Breanna Atwood made three saves for the clean sheet.

North Attleboro, 3 @ Milford, 1 – FinalJuliana France opened the scoring for Milford, but Kayla Pasquel answered with a 20-yard strike to tie the game at 1-1. In the second half, Alex Moulson scored off a pass from Lydia Santos for what turned out to be the game-winner and Ashlyn Gaulin, who assisted on North’s first goal, scored off a Pasquel assist to seal the two points. With a goal and assist on Friday, Gaulin moved into third on North’s career scoring list with 82 points.

Oliver Ames, 1 @ Mansfield, 4 – FinalBryn Anderson scored a pair of goals to keep Mansfield in first place in the division. Maria Sevastos and Kerina Geminiani also scored goals for the Hornets, while Katie Garvin, Steph Kemp, and Kaylee Smith all recorded assists in the win. Allison Evin scored for Oliver Ames.

Field Hockey
Attleboro, 4 @ Bishop Feehan, 0 – FinalAlex Compton and Anna Beck each scored twice for the Bombardiers against their cross-town rivals, while Shea Harrison made 14 stops to earn the shutout.

Stoughton, 3 vs. Brockton, 2 – FinalStoughton broke a tie game inside the final five minutes of the game to earn a win over the Boxers. Alanna McCormick scored the game winner with 4:40 left, while Haley Nelson scored Stoughton’s first two goals.

Taunton, 3 vs. New Bedford, 0 – FinalTaunton took a 1-0 lead into halftime and then scored two late goals to secure the win over visiting New Bedford. Cierra Bartel, Caitlin Connors, and Kennedy Thielker each scored once for the Tigers.

Volleyball
King Philip, 0 @ Needham, 3 – FinalKing Philip suffered a 3-0 (18-25, 15-25, 16-25) setback on the road at Needham. Kristen Masse led the offense with eight kills while Nicole Coughlan had seven kills for the Warriors. Shayla Weitzman finished with 10 digs.

North Attleboro, 2 @ Mansfield, 3 – FinalMansfield overcame a 2-1 deficit, winning the final two sets to prevail 3-2 (3-25, 25-19, 25-27, 25-21, 15-12) in a non-league win over North Attleboro. “It was a great team effort by the whole team,” said Mansfield head coach Melissa Heeden. Abby Sullivan has 18 service points with half of those coming in the fifth set to help the Hornets each the win. Greenly Kelly added 12 kills and four blocks, Olivia McGrath had 11 kills, had Katie Dardinski finished with 15 service points and five digs for Mansfield. For North Attleboro, Brooke Street had a great defensive game while Grace Munley had a strong game at the net with four blocks.

Stoughton, 3 @ Brockton, 2 – FinalIn one of the tightest matches of the season, Stoughton avenged a five-set loss to the Boxers from earlier in the season with a 3-2 (26-24, 27-25, 23-25, 17-25, 16-14) win on the road. Molly Turner led the Stoughton offense with 18 kills while Delaney Nagel added 14. Amaya Morris recorded nine blocks and Mia Bennett was strong on defense with 38 digs.

Taunton, 3 vs. Coyle & Cassidy, 2 – Final

Franklin, 160 @ Oliver Ames, 150 – FinalIn the final dual match of the season, Oliver Ames knocked off Franklin to earn a share of the Kelley-Rex title with the Panthers. Nolan Donze led the way with a 35, both Liam Barry and Justin Shapiro fired rounds of 38, and Thomas Walsh chipped in with a 39.

Alex Pfeffer opened the scoring in the 7th minute, one-timing a cross from Andrew Tolfa. Five minutes later, Joe Hilf and Joey Coscarella combined at the top of the area, the latter converting his chance inside the box. Matt Mordini set up the third goal with great hustle, tracking down a ball right on the end line and finding Alvaro Martinez-Calvo at the far post. James Sales added a fourth goal on a rebound in the second half. Nolan Gerome had 21 saves in net for the Black Knights.

Oliver Ames, 4 @ Taunton, 2 – FinalOliver Ames outscored Taunton 3-1 in the second half to earn two points on the road. OA opened the scoring when Jimmy Keane found the back of the net on an assist from Brady deVos. Taunton tied the game just before the break to make it 1-1 heading into the second half. Niko Byron opened his account for the season to put OA ahead, finishing a service from Colin Milliken. Sean Flaherty (assisted by Kevin Louhis) put the visiting Tigers up 3-1 but Taunton cut the deficit to just one with 16 minutes to play. But Milliken iced the game, converting a penalty kick to make it 4-2.

Field Hockey
Attleboro, 4 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – FinalAttleboro scored three goals in the second half to pull away from the Tigers, avenging a shutout loss to the Tigers earlier this season. The Bombardiers led 1-0 at the break before OA tied it early in the second. Anna Beck, Hannah Webster, Emelia Westwater and Emma Briggs each scored once for Attleboro.

Foxboro, 5 @ Milford, 0 – FinalLily Daly and Sophia Lowe each scored twice as the Warriors pulled away from the Scarlet Hawks in the second half. Sophia DiCenso also scored for Foxboro, which led 1-0 at half.

Mansfield, 0 @ Franklin, 5 – FinalFranklin set the tone early, scoring twice in the opening five minutes, in a big 5-0 win over Mansfield. Victoria Quinn had both of the first two goals, the first assisted by Amanda Lewandowski just 86 seconds into the contest. Quinn made it 2-0 on assists from Ashley Reutlinger and Regan Paterson just before the five minute mark. Lewandowski (from Reutlinger) made it 3-0 at the midway point of the first half. Paterson (from Lewandowski) made it 4-0 in the 36th minute and Quinn completed the hat trick with an unassisted tally in the 39th minute. Christina Luccini made nine saves for the shutout and FHS head coach Michelle Hess said Maeve Ledwith had a fantastic game defensively and Cassi Ronan had a great game controlling the field from the center mid position.

King Philip, 4 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalKing Philip scored a pair of goals in each half to earn a shutout win on the road at Taunton. Claire Lawler scored both of KP’s first half tallies, both off assists from Alli Meehan, Lawler opened the scoring in the 7th minute and then made it 2-0 in the 10th minute. Cristina Gifun (assisted by Meehan) struck less than five minutes into the second half to make it 3-0 and Meehan capped the scoring in the 46th minute, converting a pass from Nicole Connor.

Volleyball
Attleboro, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – FinalOliver Ames senior Sadie Homer recorded her 1,000th career dig as the Tigers rolled to a win at home (25-16, 25-19, 25-10). Homer, who had 37 digs, is just the second player in program history to reach the 1,000-point club. Caitlin Cavanaugh had 12 kills, Jordan Bosse added 10 kills, and Grace McCallum chipped in with six aces for OA. Attleboro’s Amanda Kadisveskis had five kills, three blocks, and an ace, Chelsea Calgagni finished with 11 kills and six digs, and Jessica Matheson had 13 digs for the Bombardiers.

For the Hornets, Greenly Kelly had nine kills and eight service points, Sam Sternberg had eight digs and eight service points, and Ashley Santos chipped in with five kills.

King Philip, 3 @ Taunton, 1 – FinalTaunton won a tight second set but King Philip didn’t let the momentum swing to the home team, taking the match 3-1 (25-18, 25-27, 25-10, 25-13). For the Warriors, Catherine Waldeck had 15 kills and a block, Nicole Coughlan added seven kills and two blocks, Shayla Weitzman finished with eight digs and two aces.

Sharon, 1 @ North Attleboro, 3 – FinalAfter splitting the first two sets, North Attleboro earned the win by taking the next two sets against Sharon (25-10, 21-25, 25-14, 25-20). Hayley Gaskin set the offense in motion with 40 assists while Tatiana Sotelo had a career-high 22 kills for the Rocketeers.

Sharon, 175 @ Stoughton, 187 – FinalSharon’s Corey Carter earned medalist honors, shooting a 37 to pace the Eagles to a win over Stoughton at Easton Country Club. Max Brody added a 42 for the Eagles and Nathan Daley carded a round of 45. Josh Hough led the Black Knights with a round of 42.

Oliver Ames, 158 @ Mansfield, 154 – FinalMansfield earned its biggest win of the season by upsetting visiting Oliver Ames. OA’s Nolan Donze had a medalist round of 35 but Mansfield got contributions from Nate Morreale (36), Jason See (37), Joseph Gormley (40) and Ryan Dow (41) to get the win. Thomas Walsh added a round of 39 for the Tigers and Tate Hadges and Sam Becker each shot a 42.

Senior Griffin Roach scored a pair of early goals to put the hosts ahead, a lead that Canton took into halftime. But Oliver Ames struck for a pair of goals inside a five minute span to level the scoring. Sophomore Kevin Louhis brought the visitors within one on an assist from sophomore Colin Milliken in the 59th minute, and two minutes later, Milliken tied the game off a feed from Haendel Louhis.

Taunton, 1 @ Stoughton, 1 – FinalStoughton junior Mason Eschleman scored his first career goal in the final five minutes to hepl the Black Knights earn a point against visiting Taunton. Eschleman finished off a centering pass from John Ortiz with just three minutes to play to bring Stoughton level. Taunton took the lead in the 10th minute when Mateusz Hagemajer converted a pass from Dylan Kullas. Stoughton sophomore Nolan Gerome made 22 saves in net while Taunton keeper Nolan Melo made 13 stops.

Attleboro, 6 @ Milford, 0 – FinalAttleboro went on the road and recorded a convincing victory, beating Milford 6-0. Alex Compton paced the Bombardiers’ offense, netting a hat trick while Anna Beck, Hannah Webster, and Takara Keele each scored once in the win.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Canton, 1 – FinalClick here for a photo gallery from the game – Maggie Connolly followed up a Meg Aldrich shot that OA goalie Kara Ostrander saved and knocked in the rebound to lift Canton to the victory. The Bulldogs created a number of chances to try and put the game away in the second half but Ostrander made a series of saves to keep the Tigers in it. Sophomore Riley O’Connor earned the shutout for Canton.

King Philip, 0 @ Foxboro, 1 – FinalFoxboro senior Sophia Lowe scored late in the first half as the host Warriors handed King Philip its first loss of the season. Lowe converted with 4:15 left in the first half to give Foxboro the lead. King Philip had over 20 shots on goal but Foxboro keeper Julia Carangelo had a strong game, recording the shutout.

Franklin, 7 @ Sharon, 0 – FinalFranklin raced out to a 4-0 lead at halftime and never looked back in a win against Sharon. Cassi Ronan and Stephanie Bell each scored a pair of goals to pace the Panthers’ offense, Amanda Lewandowski and Victoria Quinn each had a goal and an assist in the win, and Olivia Rondeau (first career goal) and Katie O’Rourke (assist) each had one point apiece.

Taylor Harris had eight kills, one block, and 13 digs, Olivia Chinsen had a solid night with two aces, three kills, and 10 digs, and Erin Devine and Bailey Shea both had solid games at the net, combining for seven blocks and eight kills. Nicole Brown continued to run the court with 17 assists and five kills for the Bulldogs. Oliver Ames’ Jordan Bosse had 12 kills, eight digs and three aces, Sadie Homer finished with 32 dig, and Allie Kemp added 24 assists.

Tommy Dimock (37) and Thomas Singleton (38) both had sub-40 rounds while Conor Hunter carded an even 40 for Canton. Sharon’s Corey Carter had one of the best rounds of any Hock golfers this season, earning match medalist honors with a 33. Ethan Skelly was also impressive, shooting a 34 for the Eagles.

Foxboro, 177 @ Franklin, 166 – FinalFranklin’s Matt D’Errico earned match medalist honors after shooting a 40. Jack Paterson (41), Jake Blaney (42), and Gerard Collins (43) all scored for the Panthers while junior Matt Lathrop led the Warriors with a 41.

Mansfield, 158 @ Stoughton, 179 – FinalMansfield sophomore Jason See carded a round of 38 to earn match medalist honors and pace the Hornets to a win on the road against Stoughton.
