Canton, 4 @ Stoughton, 4 – Final Canton erased three different deficits on the road to get the point while Stoughton qualified for the state tournament with the draw. Jordan Asnes opened the scoring on a volley into the far corner off a cross from Brian Peoples. Canton leveled the game to send the teams into the halftime break at 1-1. Stoughton regained the lead after a great through ball from Asnes for a nice finish into the corner from Tyler Melo. The Black Knights made it 3-1 when Loubensky Lucas found John Ortiz in the six yard box. Canton responded with a pair of goals to level the match at 3-3. Stoughton responded instantly as Lucus lifted the ball over the defense and Marco Antunes finished nicely into the corner. Canton tied the game with just over a minute to play to finish 4-4.

Milford, 0 @ Sharon, 3 – FinalSharon built a 1-0 lead by halftime and added two more in the second half, going unbeaten against Davenport foes this season. Ben Stamm and Andrew Reyes-Jones each scored off an assist from Spencer Hall while Marques Benton found the back of the net off an assist from Oliver Hu.

Volleyball
Canton, 3 vs. Quincy, 0 – FinalCanton finished the season with a 25-21, 26-24, 25-16 sweep against Quincy. Emma Murphy led Canton with nine kills and no errors, hitting .529. Nicole Poole had 24 assists and 20 digs while Casey Shea and Emma Gobbi combined for 14 kills.

Oliver Ames’ Brent Schwartz was fourth in 17:14 with Mansfield’s Patrick Heavey coming in fourth in 17:23 and Collin Rice coming in fifth in 17:36.

King Philip, 38 @ Franklin, 21 – Final For the second straight season, Franklin claimed the Kelley-Rex division title. Nicole Clermont finished first over all to pace Franklin, winning in 19:46. Katherine Hartnett was second overall in 20:02, Ella Gutkowski was fifth in 21:48, Katrina Walbert was sixth in 21:51 and Brianna Cummings finished seventh to round off Franklin’s top five.

Canton, 0 @ Notre Dame Academy, 3 – FinalThe Canton Bulldogs gave the defending State Champions a run for their money but ultimately fell 21-25, 18-25, 21-25. “They were definitely the hardest hitters we’ve seen this year,” head coach Pat Cawley said of the undefeated Cougars. Erika Lum played good defense leading Canton with 16 digs (along with three kills) and Julia Panico added 11 digs. Cawley had high praise for setter Nicole Poole – “she was awesome, making something out everything no matter where the pass.” – finishing with 18 assists and two kills. Casey Shea had a big night on offense with seven kills and no errors and added four blocks while Emma Murphy had three blocks and three kills.

Franklin, 3 @ Sharon, 0 – FinalFranklin middles Meaghan Maguire and Maggie Doyle “were dominant at the net” according to Panther head coach Kate Horsmann. Maguire registered a pair of kills and five blocks while Doyle had two aces and three blocks. Erin Skidmore had four aces, 16 service points, eight kills and four digs for the Panthers while Ellie Wisniewski chipped in with five kills and Maddie Kuzio had 18 digs and an ace.

Franklin, 2 @ Sharon, 0 – FinalFranklin senior Dana Lewandowski netted what turned out to be the game winner just five minutes into the first half as the Panthers picked up their seventh win of the season. Sophomore Annie Walsh scored with just under three minutes remaining to ice the game for Franklin. Franklin head coach Lisa Cropper said Kate Morse “did an outstanding job in the midfield” for the Panthers.

Taunton, 0 @ Stoughton, 4 – FinalOlivia Schlehuber led Stoughton’s offense, scoring a pair of goals in the win. Julia Russell and Kelli Joyce scored each scored once for the Black Knights. Gianna Barbosa and Meghan McSweeney combined for the shutout in goal.

Oliver Ames, 157 @ Franklin, 166 – Final – Oliver Ames clinched the Kelley-Rex title outright with a win over Franklin at Franklin Country Club. The win marks Oliver Ames’ fourth straight outright league title and fifth straight overall. Brady Allbritton and Nick Lombardi both shot 37 to lead the Tigers. Matt D’Errico carded a 40 for the Panthers and Bryan Woelfel finished with a 41.

Mansfield, 173 @ Sharon, 171 – FinalSam Fritz had the low score for Sharon with a 41, helping the Eagles edge Mansfield at Spring Valley Country Club. Jason Hindman was the match medalist, shooting a one over 37 for the Hornets.

Freshman Maeve Ledwith got her first career goal with 12 minutes left in the game on a pass from Erin Walsh. Christina Lucini and Sam Hertzberg combined for the shutout each making one save.

Collin Rice finished in 17:52 to grab fifth overall for Mansfield. King Philip’s Mike Griffin was fourth overall in 17:22 and Jack Angelo came across sixth in 17:53.

Taunton, 39 @ Oliver Ames, 20 – Final – Taunton’s Dylan Lynch won the race but Oliver Ames had the next five finishes in Brent Schwartz, Zane Reservitz, Colin Herschlag, Jake Romaine and Alex Foote to win the race.

Clermont won the race in 21:41 while classmates Kate Hartnett and Ella Gutkowski came in second and third in 21:42. Sophomore Katrina Walbert was fourth in 21:55 and junior Brianna Cummings crossed the finish line in 21:57 for fifth overall.

King Philip, 22 @ Mansfield, 33 – FinalKing Philip’s Erin Quinn won her third straight dual meet, coming across the finish line at 20:57. Erica Layne, Lucy Hamilton, Leia Quinn and Bri Aubin finished third, fourth, sixth and eighth overall respectively. Mansfield’s Lauren Duggan was second overall while Margaret Riley was fifth and Sarah Doyle finished seventh overall.

Sydney Phillips had 21 digs and 14 service points for KP while Amanda Loewen had 25 service points and 12 digs, Elise Pereira had eight digs, Molly Croke added seven digs and Angela Vellante had 25 service points and six digs.

Oliver Ames, 1 @ Milton, 3 – FinalOliver Ames’ Bridget McCarthy led the Tigers with 29 assists and three aces while Grace McCallum added six kills, four aces and a pair of digs, Alyssa Gavin had 21 digs and a pair of aces, Emma Petrillo chipped in with eight kills and an ace, Maya Fetcho had six kills and a block, Kayla Raymond had 11 kills and an ace and Katie Flynn chipped in with eight kills.

Franklin, 164 @ Attleboro, 169 – Final – Bryan Woelfel earned match medalist honors, shooting a low round of 37 to lead the Panthers. Matt D’ Errico and Matt Dao each shot 42 for Franklin while Ethan Johnson led Attleboro with a team-low round of 39.

Mansfield, 169 @ Oliver Ames, 140 – Final Oliver Ames’ Nick Lombardi was the co-match medalist, carding a team-low round of 36. Brady Allbritton shot a 37 and Eric LeBlanc and Ryan McGarry each shot 38 for the Tigers. Mansfield Jason Hindman shot a team-low 36.

Emily Moor led Taunton with eight kills, 14 digs and four aces while Delaney Powell had five kills, Abby Waldron had five digs, four kills and an ace and Kayli Fagan notched 25 assists, two kills, two aces and five digs.

Stoughton, 0 @ Canton, 3 – Final – Aggressive serving from Maria Mackie helped Canton turn a two point deficit late in the second set into a two point win and the Bulldogs went on to complete the sweep, 25-22, 25-23, 25-16. Mackie, who had a steady night on defense as well, helped Canton turn a 23-21 deficit into a 25-23 win with her serving. Hannah Jerrier led Canton with eight kills, Casey Shea shined at the night with five kills and five blocks and Emma Murphy added three kills and five blocks. Julia Panico was an anchor for Canton’s defense while Nicole Poole was the glue for the Bulldogs with 21 assists and 15 digs.

King Philip, 3 @ Franklin, 2 – FinalFranklin jumped out to a 2-0 lead but King Philip rattled off three straight wins to get the victory, 18-25, 11-25, 25-11, 25-20, 15-13. Sydney Phillips had a strong all around day to lead KP, registering 29 service points, three aces, 11 kills and seven digs. Carly Adams added 20 service points and 16 assists, Amanda Loewen had 24 digs and 15 service points, Michaela Palumbo added nine kills and Angela Vellante chipped in with 12 service points. Franklin’s Lauren McGrath had 23 assists, two kills and an ace and Erin Skidmore had 12 kills, eight aces, five digs and one block.

Oliver Ames, 156 @ Taunton, 194 – Final – The Tigers of Oliver Ames had a consistent day at Segregansett Country Club. Ryan McGarry, Mark Bissonette, Nick Lombardi and Thomas Walsh all tied for the match medalist, with each shooting 39 on the day. Justin Proto led Taunton with a 43.

Milford, 167 @ Sharon, 173 – Final – Ryan Tomaso was the match medalist, shooting 39 at Spring Valley. Anthony Arcudi added a 42 for the Scarlet Hawks. Andrew Glaser led the way for Sharon, carding a 40.

Sharon, 15 @ Foxboro, 50 – Final – Foxboro was led by by Brendan Foley (20:37), followed by Matt Kelly (20:40), Mike Lite (21:01), Tyler Donovan (21:13), Jacob Sylvestre (21:14) and Paxton Downs (21:39).

Mansfield, 19 @ Taunton, 44 – Final Mansfield had seven of the top eight finishes and eight of the top 10 in the win over Taunton. Kalin Petrov won the race in a time of 17:07 while Taunton’s Dylan Lynch was second at 17:17. Mansfield’s Collin Rice (17:56), Patrick Heavey (17:56), Nick Rispoli (18:11), Arjun Sonti (18:12), Paxton Howard (18:17) and Cullen Lancaster (18″49) finished third through eighth respectively.

Oliver Ames, 25 @ Franklin, 30 – Final – Oliver Ames secured three of the top five spots to edge out the Panthers. OA’s Brent Schwartz won in 17:31 while Zane Reservitz finished fourth in 18:03 and Colin Herschlag was fifth at 18:05. Franklin’s Everett Henderson finished in second at 17:44 and Mike Hagen was third at 17:49.

King Philip, 15 @ Attleboro, 46 – Final – King Philip had the top five finishes in the race, cruising to a win on the road. Nina Sitarski won the race with Erin Quinn, Lucy Hamilton, Leia Quinn and Erica Layna rounding out the top five for the Warriors. Ellen Marshall finished six and Victoria Pike was seventh to lead Attleboro.

Sharon, 23 @ Foxboro, 38 – Final – Foxboro sophomore Lindsey Nelson led the way for Foxboro, finishing second in 21:36 while freshman Abby Hassman finished third overall in 21:47.

Oliver Ames, 32 @ Franklin, 23 – Final – Franklin grabbed the top three finishes in the meet, securing the win over Oliver Ames. Nicole Clermont won the race in 19:58 with Kate Hartnett finishing second in 21:22 and Ella Gutkowski rounding out the top three in 21:51. Liz Peckham, Anna Loewald, Caroline McCarthy, and Jordan Rainville finished in the fourth through seventh places for OA.
