Milford senior Eli Rosenberg has been selected as the HockomockSports.com Player of the Week, presented by Morse Insurance, for Sept. 6 through Sept. 13. Rosenberg is the first athlete chosen as Player of the Week for the 2026-27 school year.
Rosenberg caught three touchdown passes to help Milford open its season with a commanding 49-7 win over visiting Framingham. One of just two seniors in the starting lineup, Rosenberg also chipped in with a big night in the return game and in the secondary to get the Hawks off to the perfect start.
Rosenberg made his presence felt on the opening snap of the game. Milford went with a trick play, as Vincent Loscerbo threw a lateral to backup quarterback Logan Snaddon. Rosenberg was wide open down the left sideline, hauling in a 61-yard touchdown to kick off the season. With time running out in the first quarter (and set up by his 24-yard punt return), Rosenberg caught an out-route heading to the near sideline. He caught it, made a quick stop and cut to lose the Framingham secondary, and raced in with a 32-yard score. Rosenberg would add a third TD a few minutes later, when Loscerbo threw a strike to hit him down the seam for 27 yards. He finished with three catches for 120 yards.
