#4 Franklin, 7 vs. #5 Xaverian, 10 – FinalFranklin and Xaverian were tied 6-6 after three quarters but the Hawks used a 4-0 surge in the final frame to pull away from the Panthers. Eric Civetti and Matt Lazzaro each scored a pair of goals for Franklin while Chase Tanner, Jake Davis, and Nitin Chaudhury each found the back of the net once. Connor O’Rourke made 10 saves in net.

#2 Taunton, 3 vs. #15 North Quincy, 0 – FinalFreshman Kelsey White continued to dominate in the circle for the Tigers, allowing just one base runner (a two-out single in the fifth) while striking out 11 batters to lead Taunton to a shutout win over North Quincy. The Tigers scored single runs in the second, third, and fifth innings. In the second, Hanna Aldrich had a leadoff double, moved to third on a single from White, and scored on an overthrow at home. Jaime Brown led off the third with a single, moved to third on a bunt hit from Liana Duarte and scored on a suicide squeeze from Mackenzie Handrahan. Taunton cashed in with another suicide in the fifth with Duarte laying down the bunt and sophomore Abbie McDonough (single) scoring.

#3 Milford, 10 vs. #14 Bishop Feehan, 11 – Final (8 inn.)Down to its final out, Milford rallied for four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to tie the game and send it to extra innings. But Bishop Feehan bounced back in the top of the eighth to secure the win. Jess Tomaso hit a three-run homer to get Milford within one and Maddy Bonvino brought in Emily Hartman to tie the game in the seventh.

#4 King Philip, 8 vs. #13 Hopkinton, 1 – Final – Each King Philip starter recorded at least one hit as the Warriors rolled to a win over Hopkinton. Elise Pereira dominated in the circle, allowing just one run while striking out eight to earn the win.

#23 Foxboro, 13 @ #7 Bristol-Plymouth, 5 – FinalFoxboro scored five runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back in a win over Bristol-Plymouth. Freshman Morgan Sylvestre shined in the field with a handful of spectacular plays, and also made her mark with a team-high five hits at the plate. Senior Hannah Davis added four hits for the Warriors while playing terrific defense behind the dish. Emma Rohan pitched a complete game to earn the win for Foxboro. The Warriors will play #2 Plymouth South on Monday at 4:00 in a D2 South Quarterfinal matchup.

Attleboro, 3 @ Taunton, 2 – FinalTaunton scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning but Attleboro chipped away with single runs in the third and fourth innings and then scored the winning run in the top of the fifth. Dakota Kirby had a leadoff single in the third and scored when Jon Candiales drew a bases-loaded walk. In the fourth, Troy Gamache led off with a single and scored to tie the game on an RBI double from James Weir. The Bombardiers took the lead in the fifth when Corey McKenna had a two-out single, stole second, and scored on an RBI single from Gamache. Ryan Morry earned the win, allowing two first-inning runs in a complete game effort. Morry allowed six hits — four in the first inning — before settling down, striking out three and walking one.

North Attleboro, 13 @ Foxboro, 3 – FinalNorth Attleboro’s Nate Pearce launched a grand slam in the second inning, highlighting the Rocketeers’ sixth run frame in a win over Foxboro. North scored two runs in the first inning and tacked on five more in the third inning. Nick Sinacola improved to 7-0 on the season, allowing one run on two hits and one walk, striking out six in four innings of work. Matt Seavey earned the save, striking out five in three innings of work. Brendan McHugh went 3-for-3 and Zach DeMattio was 2-for-2 with five RBI.

Stoughton, 9 @ Canton, 5 – FinalStoughton got off to a great start, pushing across six runs in the first inning and never looked back. The Black Knights added three more in the second inning to build a large lead. Evan Gibb got the win on the mound, going 6.2 innings with three earned runs allowed on seven hits with two walks and three strikeouts. Gibb, Ruben Gonzalez, and George Currier each had two hits. James Genest added a two-run single, Robbie Seaman had a double with two walks, and Mike Nazzaro had two RBI and two stolen bases. Jack Brown got his first varsity hit and Tim Kellogg played stellar defense in the field for the Black Knights.

King Philip, 2 @ Franklin, 5 – FinalFranklin senior Jake Noviello scattered five hits, struck out five, allowed two runs and didn’t issue a walk in a complete game effort to lead the Panthers to a win. Steve Luttazi (two doubles, RBI, run) and Jack Nally (RBI, run) each had two hits for the Panthers while Alex Haba (triple, run), Jake Macchi (RBI), and Colby Fitzgibbons (double) each had a hit. Pat Limerick (RBI, run), Jeremy Rhines (RBI), and Ian Zimmerman each had a hit for KP.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Mansfield, 1 – Final (8 inn.)

Taunton, 21 @ Attleboro, 6 – Final (6 inn.)Taunton held a one-run lead after five innings but exploded in the sixth for 15 runs to get the win. Kya Enos had four hits, including a double, with five RBI and four runs, Hanna Aldrich (double, home run, six RBI) and Mackenzie Handrahan (two runs) each had three hits, and Liana Duarte went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Jaylin Couto got the win with four strikeouts and three runs allowed in 3.2 innings of work. Kelsey White came on in relief and struck out five with two runs allowed in 2.1 innings of work.

Canton, 0 @ Stoughton, 7 – FinalGina Carafa was 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBI and a run scored, Karly Estremera and Nikki Coppola each had two hits, and Taylor Levine contributed with a hit and two RBI. Carafa picked up her sixth win of the season, striking out five and allowing only four hits.

Foxboro, 3 @ North Attleboro, 16 – FinalBella Erti struck out sixth, recording her 100th of the season and went 3-for-4 with a double at the plate to pace the Rocketeers to a win over Foxboro. Olivia Capobianco was 3-for-3, including a leadoff home run and had four RBI, Annabelle Hebard added three hits and two runs, and Jaclyn Buckley had two hits and four RBI. Emily Nardelli and Stephanie Inglese both added two hits while Emily Pastore and Katherine Munley had one hit apiece and a run scored.

Franklin, 0 @ King Philip, 9 – FinalBrooke Taute set the tone early with a first-inning grand slam to help the Warriors sweep the season series against Franklin. Sydney Phillips, Jessica Bonner (two-run home run) and Brianna Lacy each had two hits. Elise Pereira pitched a complete game shutout, giving up only three hits while striking out five.

Franklin, 17 vs. Dover-Sherborn, 7 – FinalFranklin’s offense had another strong game, picking up a win over D3 powerhouse Dover-Sherborn. Eric Civetti was responsible for 10 of those goals, scoring seven and assisting on three more. Jake Davis (three goals, one assist), and Matt Lazzaro (two goals, two assists) each had four points while Nitin Chaudhury and three assists. Jacob Alexander dominated the face-off X, winning 24 of 28 attempts. Connor O’Rourke made nine saves while Will Davis came in and made two stops.

Oliver Ames, 17 @ Southeastern, 4 – FinalOliver Ames recorded its 12th win of the season, setting a new program mark for regular season wins. The Tigers had 11 different goal scorers in the win with Owen Gallagher leading the way with three goals and three assists.

Canton, 7 @ Holliston, 15 – FinalLeah McClellan scored three goals and assisted on three others for the Bulldogs in the loss. Maggie Connolly had a goal and an assist, while Caroline Tourgee, Molly Colburn and Rachel Beatty had one goal apiece. Vicki Revanche made 21 saves in defeat.

Foxboro, 13 @ Wellesley, 14 – Final

King Philip, 15 vs. Bishop Feehan, 4 – Final Caroline Klim continued her all-star season with six goals to lead KP to a big win over a potential playoff opponent. Alli Meehan added four goals and an assist and Olivia Tormey had two goals and an assist for the Warriors. KP also got goals from Shayla Weitzman, Jess Sullivan, and Mackenzie Mazur.

North Attleboro, 4 vs. Natick, 18 – FinalJulia Tolfa scored two goals for North but the Rocketeers fell at home to Natick.

Sharon, 13 @ Ursuline Academy, 12 – FinalFor the second time this season, the Eagles rallied from four goals down at halftime to beat Ursuline. Sharon went on an 8-3 run in the second half and won the game on Sabrina Robbins’ fourth goal of the afternoon with just one second remaining. Emma Eberhardt scored five goals to lead the Eagles, adding the 100th of her career in the process. She also had two assists. Rose Wald made nine saves, including six in the second half. Maeve Barbera scored a pair of goals and Cass Barbera and Lydia Chase each had one.

Boys Tennis
Taunton, 5 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final

Canton, 3 @ Stoughton, 2 – FinalStoughton won at first and second singles but the Bulldogs got the win at third singles and swept doubles play to beat the Black Knights. Freshman Minh Duong won 7-5, 6-2 at third singles, the team of Charlie Malloy and Aidas Jakubenas earned a 7-6, 6-3 win at first doubles and Ethan Nguyen and Justin Luk picked up a 6-1, 7-6 (4) win at second doubles. Stoughton freshman Waseem Sablon won 6-1, 6-2 at first singles and junior Erik Anderson earned a 6-2, 6-2 win at second singles.

Foxboro, 0 @ North Attleboro, 5 – FinalNorth Attleboro’s three singles players combined to lose just a single game in a convincing sweep over Foxboro. Richard Bermudez won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles while Christian Bermudez and Jonah Manso each won 6-0, 6-0 at second and third singles, respectively. Ben Pfeffer and Vikram Senthilakumaran pulled out a 6-3, 6-2 win at first doubles and senior Alex Rinaldi and freshman Sam Gallagher notched their fourth straight win, 6-3, 6-2, at second doubles.

Franklin, 0 @ King Philip, 5 – FinalKing Philip clinched its second straight Kelley-Rex title with a sweep over Franklin. Marco DiStefano earned a 6-1, 6-4 win at first singles, Nick Putney prevailed 5-7, 6-0, 6-2 at second singles and Jack Cannon won 6-1, 6-4 at third singles. The team of Sean Desroches and Nate Ihley emerged with a 7-5, 3-6, 10-5 at first doubles and Nick Ihley and Aidan Ignatius teamed up for a 6-1, 6-0 victory at second doubles.

Sharon, 5 @ Martha’s Vineyard, 0 – FinalSharon swept the first of two matches with Martha’s Vineyard, winning all five matches with proset rules. Fred Bondar won 8-2 at first singles, Andre Olivei earned an 8-6 win at second singles and Danujan Thirumavalavan won 8-5 at third singles. The team of Max Brody and Ashwin Sreevatsa picked up an 8-5 win at first doubles and Arie Chinnappan and Alex Asprevailedaled 8-5 at second doubles.

Sharon, 3 @ Martha’s Vineyard, 2 – FinalSharon earned its second win on the day with a 3-2 proset win. Fred Bondar won 8-3 at first singles, Danujan Thirumavalavan earned an 8-7 (7-1) win at third singles, and Arie Chinnappan and Alex Aspel recorded an 8-2 win at second doubles.

Attleboro, 0 @ Taunton, 5 – FinalTaunton earned its second win of the season over the Bombardiers, this time taking all five matches and doing so in straight sets. Junior Jillian Pagliuca won 6-2, 6-2 at first singles, senior Vanessa Rosa picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles, and freshman Jocelyn Pagliuca walked away with a 6-0, 6-0 decision at third singles. Juniors McKenzie Lucie and Samantha Martin won 6-0, 6-3 at first doubles and seniors Amanda Pugh and Gabrielle Fagundes earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at second doubles for the Tigers.

Stoughton, 0 @ Canton, 5 – FinalCanton freshmen Natalie Keppler and Rachel Kupferman had strong performances on the day with neither losing a game in their respective matches. Keppler (first singles) and Kupferman (second) each won 6-0, 6-0 while sophomore Sarah Hernandez picked up a 6-0, 6-4 win at third singles. Senior Caitlin Matthews and sophomore Stelina Michaelidis won 6-1, 7-6 (6) at first singles and the team of seniors Jenna Moyle and Anjali Mandal earned a 6-1, 6-4 win at second doubles for the Bulldogs.

Kristin Bloumbas and Emily You prevailed 7-6 (5), 6-0 at first doubles, Olivia Groebe and Rachel Stryke picked up a 6-3, 6-2 win at second doubles, and sophomore Maura Kiernan dropped just one game in a 6-1, 6-0 win at third singles. Mansfield’s Sarah Doyle recorded a 6-1, 6-2 win at first singles while Elizabeth Elsner emerged victoriously, 6-4, 7-5, at second singles.

King Philip, 9 @ Franklin, 17 – FinalFranklin dominated the first half, building a 12-2 lead against the visiting Warriors and never looking back. After being limited to two goals in his previous game, Franklin senior Eric Civetti exploded for 10 points, scoring six goals and adding four assists to lead the Panthers. Jake Davis added three goals, Matt Lazzaro scored twice and had one assist and Jacob Alexander went 13-for-16 at the faceoff X. Connor O’Rourke made three saves in net while Will Davis came in to make five saves in the second half.

Sharon, 16 @ Canton, 6 – FinalThe Eagles used eight different goal scorers to earn the win against their Davenport division rivals. Sabrina Robbins had four goals and an assist, while also pulling in four draw controls, while Emma Eberhardt dominated all over the field – scoring four goals, recording six assists, grabbing six ground balls and 11 draw controls. Jenna Goldstein had two goals and two assists, while Abbi Solomon had a pair of goals for Sharon. Cass Barbera, Maeve Barbera, Christina Linehan and Maxine Gordon each scored once for the Eagles and goalie Rose Wald made five saves. Vicky Revanche made 18 saves in goal for Canton.

Franklin, 7 @ King Philip, 6 – Final (2OT)Franklin sophomore Erin Walsh scored the game-winning goal on a feed from classmate Kelsey MacCallum to help the Panthers pick up a win on the road at KP. MacCallum also had a goal and four draw controls, Annie Walsh added three goals and three draws, and Katie Jones had one goal and one helper. Sophomore Gianna Cameron made six saves in net while freshman Sydney Hawkins had a strong game defensively for the Panthers.

Boys Volleyball
Taunton, 3 vs. Greater New Bedford, 0 – FinalTaunton defended home court, sweeping visiting Greater New Bedford 25-15, 25-23, 25-18 to qualify for the state tournament. The Tigers had a strong defensive game, totaling 13 blocks as a team. Collin Hunter and Alex Tavares each picked up four blocks apiece while Jason Khang and Gage Kingman both played well in the back row.

Foxboro, 5 @ Canton, 6 – FinalCanton freshman Steph Trendell had two singles, including the game-winning RBI in the bottom of the seventh as Canton walked off with a win over visiting Foxboro. Trendell knocked in classmate Nikki Desjardins from second on a two-out hit to get the win. Freshman Liz Bickett added three hits in the win, including a home run and sophomore Caroline Hughes added two hits for the Bulldogs.

Stoughton, 8 @ Sharon, 4 – FinalStoughton built and 8-0 lead going into the bottom of the seventh inning before the Eagles rallied for four runs in the final frame, but Sharon couldn’t sustain the rally and lost its home opener. Lexi Baptista went 4-for-4 for the Black Knights with three triples and a single, drove in a pair of runs and scored three times. Gina Carafa earned the win with a complete game, striking out 10 while also going 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI. Jamie Kessler drove in a pair of runs with a single in the seventh and Rebecca Clayman plated two more with a double for Sharon.

Attleboro, 5 @ Oliver Ames, 12 – FinalEric LeBlanc had four goals and Owen Gallagher had three goals as Oliver Ames picked up a win over visiting Attleboro. Shane Kilkelly and Sandro Mascierelli each scored twice and Hunter Costello chipped in with one goal. OA head coach Ben Devlin said Frankie Ireland (three assists) had a great all-around game and Shane Murphy, Matt Saba, Mark Vasapollo, and Cullen Gallagher all had strong games defensively for the Tigers.

Stoughton, 4 @ King Philip, 16 – Final

Mansfield, 5 @ Franklin, 13 – FinalWith Mansfield’s defense focused on Franklin All American Eric Civetti (two goals), Panthers’ freshman Matt Lazzaro stepped up and netted a team-high four goals to lead the way. Zach Alexander, Will Davis, and Chase Tanner all had two goals apiece while Nitin Chaudhury scored once and had one assist. Connor O’Rourke made eight saves in net for the Panthers.

Girls Lacrosse
Oliver Ames, 20 @ Attleboro, 8 – FinalAttleboro used a second half surge to get the deficit to five (12-7) but Oliver Ames closed the door with a big run to end the game. Seven different players scored for the Tigers, led by seven goals and three assists from Olivia Piazza and four goals and one helper from Chloe Kilkelly.

Franklin, 18 @ Mansfield, 4 – FinalFrankin jumped out to a 10-1 lead at halftime and never looked back against the Hornets. Kelsey MacCallum paced the offense with three goals and two assists, Annie Walsh added four goals and four draw controls, Hailey Toolin chipped in with a pair of goals and four draws, and Haley DeStefano finished with a goal and an assist. Gianna Cameron made six saves in net for Franklin.

Nick Putney grabbed a 6-1, 6-0 win at second singles and Jack Cannon notched a 6-2, 6-2 win at third singles for KP’s other two wins. Mansfield’s Luke Nickerson secured a 6-0, 6-1 win at first singles and the team of Jalaj Singh and Sethu Odayappan won 7-5, 6-3 at first doubles.

North Attleboro, 5 @ Milford, 0 – FinalNorth Attleboro senior Jack Redding prevailed with a 6-4, 7-5 win at third singles to help Big Red complete the sweep and continue its unbeaten start to the season. Richard Bermudez (first singles), Christian Bermudez (second singles) and the team of Ben Pfeffer and Vikram Senthilakumaran (first doubles) each won 6-0, 6-0 for North. The team of Alex Pfeffer and Sam Gallagher won 6-1, 6-0 at second doubles.

Taunton, 4 @ Attleboro, 1 – FinalTaunton lost just two games total in its two doubles matches, helping the Tigers pick up a 4-1 win on the road. McKenzie Lucie and Samantha Martin didn’t lose a game in a win at first doubles and Amanda Pugh and Brianna Fevrier won 6-0, 6-2 at second doubles. Senior Jillian Pagliuca won 6-1, 6-1 at first singles and eighth-grader Kayla Parrett notched a 6-3, 6-1 in her varsity singles debut. Attleboro’s Brianna Aronne pulled out a 7-6 (7-4), 5-7, 10-2 win ay second singles.

Sophia Prinos won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles and Julia Muise recorded a 6-1, 6-3 win at third singles. The team of Sarah Prag and Olivia Dantona picked up a 6-1, 6-2 win at first doubles and Foxboro’s Kendall Milender and Margaret McAuliffe prevailed at second doubles with a 6-3, 2-6, 10-8 win. Canton freshman Rachel Kupferman won 3-6, 6-1, 12-10 at second singles.

Mansfield, 0 @ King Philip, 5 – FinalKing Philip won all five matches in straight sets, getting a win over Mansfield at home. Erin Regnier won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles, Meghan Sepich notched a 6-0, 6-2 win at second singles, and Caitlin Gonser recorded a 6-0, 6-1 victory at third singles. The team of Mia Valencia and Grace Ely took a 6-2, 6-4 decision at first doubles and Hannah Putney and Lucy Barnard picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win at second doubles.

Canton, 3 @ Natick, 10 – FinalCanton trailed by just two (4-2) at halftime but were done in by penalties in the second half. Mike Shaw, Charlie O’Connor, and Dan Cohen each scored for the Bulldogs.

Foxboro, 10 vs. Scituate, 4 – FinalAfter a back-and-forth first half that saw Foxboro take a one-goal lead (5-4), the Warriors pitched a shutout in the second half to beat Scituate and advance to the finals of the Chowda Cup to take on Catholic Memorial. Bobby Yerardi had three goals for Foxboro while Brendan Tully and Louis Piccolo each scored twice. Jake Addeche made seven saves in net.

Franklin, 13 vs. Lexington, 5 – FinalFranklin turned a close game into a comfortable win with a dominating fourth quarter. The Panthers led by just two goals, 6-4, after three quarters but scored six unanswered goals during the final frame to get the victory. Head coach Lou Verrochi said Jacob Alexander was unbelievable at the faceoff X, winning 19-of-22 attempts. Jake Davis and Eric Civetti recorded hat tricks and added an assist, Chase Tanner netted three goals, and Nitin Chaudhury chipped in with two tallies. Connor O’Rourke made seven saves in the win.

Milford, 3 vs. Brockton, 1 – FinalJuniors Joao Boaventura, Josh Orellana, and Zach Browne all notched double-digit kills as the Hawks defended home court against the Boxers with a 3-1 (25-13, 13-25, 25-23, 25-23) win. Boaventura had a team-high 14 kills, 15 digs, and two blocks while Orellana added 13 kills and Browne finished with 10 kills.
