North Attleboro, 5 @ Canton, 1 – FinalNorth Attleboro jumped in front with three runs in the third inning and tacked on two key insurance in the top of the seventh to secure a win on the road over Canton. The win clinched at least a share of the Davenport division for the Rocketeers, who would win it outright with one more win or a Foxboro loss. Jack Digirolamo drove in a run on an RBI groundout in the bottom of the first to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead but North took the lead for good with three in the third. Danny Curran reached on an error that allowed Derek Maceda to score, Dillon Harding followed with an RBI sac fly, and Jordan Paradis had a one-out RBI single to give the visitors the 3-1 edge. in the top of the seventh, Maceda and Tyler DeMattio had back-to-back singles and both scored on a base hit from Curran to make it 5-1. Curran got the win on the mound as well, allowing just the one run on six hits and four walks, striking out four in 3.1 innings of work. Harding came on in relief and tossed 3.1 scoreless innings with three hits allowed and two strikeouts.

Sharon, 1 @ Foxboro, 3 – FinalFoxboro freshman Nolan Gordon had another strong outing on the mound and the Warriors’ offense came through with some timely two-out hits to secure a win at home over Sharon. Gordon scattered five hits in 6.1 innings of work, allowing one (unearned) run with one walk and six strikeouts for the win. Sean O’Leary came on for the final two outs to record the save, getting back-to-back outs against the tying run at the plate. Louis Carangelo had a leadoff walk, stole second, and put the Warriors ahead on a two-out double from Tom Marcucella in the bottom of the second. Foxboro doubled its lead an inning later when Ryan LeClair was hit by a pitch with two outs and scored on a double from O’Leary. Sharon got a run back in the top of the fourth when Will Hippler led off with a double, moved to third on a single from Dan Okstein and scored on a grounder from Dylan Labbe that was mishandled. Marcuella drew a two-out walk in the top of the sixth and scored off a triple from Kenny Mello for a key insurance run. Sophomore Luke Meixel pitched well for the Eagles in the loss, allowing three runs on six hits and four walks, striking out three in 5.2 innings of work.

Mansfield, 0 @ Franklin, 4 – FinalFranklin took the lead with a run in the first, added three in the third, and that was enough for junior Alfred Mucciarone as the Panthers prevailed from a tight contest with a win over rival Mansfield. In the bottom of the first, Chris Goode drew a two-out walk, stole second, and then scored on an RBI single up the left side by Evan Raider. The Panthers struck again with two outs in the third as sophomore Henry Digiorgio hit a base-clearing double to left to score Ryan Gerety (walk), Jack Marino (single), and Raider (single) to make it 4-0. Mucciarone tossed a complete game shutout, allowing just three hits — a two-out single in the fourth, a one-out single in the sixth, and a two-out single in the seventh, but none advanced first — and two walks (both in the top of the third) along with 10 strikeouts.

King Philip, 11 @ Milford, 1 – FinalKing Philip’s offense roared to life with 11 runs on 14 hits, taking down Milford at Fino in the Warriors’ best offensive output of the month. KP pushed across a pair of runs in the second and third, but blew the game open with five runs in the fourth inning. Max Robison (two hits, stolen base, run) had a leadoff single in the fourth and both Shawn Legere and Brendan Sencaj (3-for-4, three runs, stolen base) were hit by a pitch to load the bases. After a wild pitch brought Robison home, Rudy Gately (RBI, two runs) drove in Legere with a single to right. Matt Kelley (three RBI) followed with a RBI sac fly, Aiden Astorino (two hits, two runs, RBI) smacked a two-out double to bring in a run, and Eli Reed (two hits, three RBI) had a two-out single to make it 9-0. Nick Viscusi got the win on the mound, allowing one run (unearned) on five hits and three walks, striking out for in 4.1 innings of work. Tommy McLeish tossed 1.2 scoreless innings with four strikeouts and Legere tossed a scoreless inning in relief as well. Evan Cornelius had a hit, two walks, and an RBI for the Scarlet Hawks.

Stoughton, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 12 – Final (5 inn.) Oliver Ames belted out 14 hits in a balanced attack, putting up eight runs in the bottom of the fifth to secure its third straight win. Every player in the Tigers’ lineup had a hit, including two apiece from Ian Kelly (three RBI), Jake Waxman (three RBI), Jack Richardson (RBI, two runs), Nathan Carpentier (RBI), and Jack Muir (RBI, two runs). Nick Clark pitched all five innings for the Tigers, allowing one run on three hits and two walks, striking out eight. Jonah Ly had two hits for the Black Knights.








Softball
Attleboro, 6 @ Taunton, 2 – FinalAttleboro put it all together to secure arguably its biggest win as a program since joining the Hockomock League, knocking off defending state champs Taunton. The Bombardiers had it going pitching, defensively, and offensively to get the win, getting key defensive plays from Lindsey Perry at shortstop and Lauren Eby at second to deny Taunton’s comeback bid. Attleboro did all its damage on the scoreboard in the fourth inning, scoring all six of its runs. Consecutive hits from Perry, Sarah Maher, Lily Routhier, Eby, Kayla Goldrick and a double from Rylie Camacho to make it 5-0 in favor of the visitors. Emily Eby added a two-out single to bring Camacho home to make it 6-0. Routhier pitched five innings for the win, allowing two runs on six hits with three strikeouts. Perry came on for the save, tossing the final two innings.

Canton, 0 @ North Attleboro, 14 – Final (5 Inn.)North clinched at least a share of its third straight Davenport division title with a shutout of Canton. It is the first time in program history that the Rocketeers have won three straight league titles. Zoey McDonough dominated in the circle, recording 14 strikeouts and allowing only a walk and an infield hit. Ally Levine and Shaelyn Burns led the offense with two hits apiece. Kelly Colleran, Maryellen Charette, Emma Hanwell, Grace Simmons, and McDonough each had a hit and scored twice. Mandi Hanewich had a hit and drive in three, while Mary Rogers had a run scored and drove in a run with a sac fly.

Foxboro, 14 @ Sharon, 0 – Final (6 Inn.)Emma Callahan went the distance allowing only three hits and striking out four to get the shutout for Foxboro. Callahan also added a pair of hits at the plate. Peyton Feldman sparked the Foxboro offense with four hits, three runs scored, and three stolen bases. Ava Hill also chipped in with a pair of hits.

Franklin, 8 @ Mansfield, 3 – FinalFranklin rallied with six runs in the top of the seventh inning to come back from a run down and pick up a big road win. Freshman Sarah Boozang delivered the big hit, coming on as a pinch-hitter and smacking a double that plated the tying and the go-ahead runs in the top of the seventh. Juniors Georgia Harvey (run, RBI) and Katy Liberman (two runs) each had two hits on the day while Hannah Cacciapaglia (run) and Julia White (two runs, RBI). Aislinn Lavery got the win, allowing three runs on five hits and no walks, striking out eight for the Panthers. each had a triple. After the Panthers jumped ahead 2-0 in the second, Mansfield answered back with a pair of runs in the third on a Julia Kelly single and Olivia DeTrolio homer. Jill Koppy gave the Hornets their first lead with a solo homer in the fifth, but the Panthers turned the game on its head with a six-run seventh. Callie Lake and Alanna Conley also had hits for Mansfield.

Milford, 0 @ King Philip, 12 – Final (5 inn.) King Philip scored in each of the five innings, including three runs in the second and five more in the third to secure a win at home over Milford. Senior Meg Sherwood (two runs, double) and sophomore Taylor Regan (two RBI, two runs) each had three hits apiece for the Warriors while Maddie Paschke had a big day at the plate with a pair of hits, including a triple, and three RBI. Senior Mia Bennett added two runs, senior Lauren Hooper had a hit and a run scored, and senior Emma Sheehan added a hit and two RBI at the plate and tossed a shutout in the circle, allowing three hits and two walks with seven strikeouts. Cae Pellegrini had a double and two walks for the Scarlet Hawks.

Oliver Ames, 12 @ Stoughton, 5 – FinalAfter building a three-run lead over the first three innings, Oliver Ames broke the game open with a six-run fourth inning and secured a 12-5 win over Stoughton, sweeping the season series. Juniors Maddie Homer (3-for-5, two doubles, three runs) and Caitlin Miller (3-for-5, three runs, three RBI led the charge offensively for the Tigers. Freshman Emily Martin added two hits, a run, and an RBI, freshman Devon Morris drove in two runs and scored a run, and sophomore Madison Monteiro went 4-for-5 with an RBI, a double, and a run scored. Sydney Menz (run) and Melody Casna (two runs, RBI) each had a pair of hits for Stoughton.




Boys Lacrosse
Canton, 17 @ Attleboro, 6 – Final

Franklin, 16 @ Foxboro, 8 – FinalTommy Sharkey scored half of Foxboro’s goals, while Tony Sulham, Dylan Kerrigan, and Sully Kenneally each netted one for the Warriors. Adam Addeche had a strong game in goal with 10 saves.

Milford, 2 @ King Philip, 19 – Final

North Attleboro, 15 @ Mansfield, 4 – FinalNorth dominated the draw, as Jared Vacher won 15-of-18, and got big days from a few of its attackers to clinch at least a share of its first league title since 2017. Connor Ruppert led the way in attack with six goals and a pair of assists, while Matt Antonetti scored four times and dished out six helpers. Jack Regan also stepped up offensively with four goals and a hat trick of assists. Ethan McGrath made 11 saves for the Rocketeers.

Oliver Ames, 9 @ Sharon, 13 – FinalBen Reardon scored four goals and Wyatt Fritchman added three for the Tigers. Ryan Jaco added one for OA and freshman Shawn Teehan scored his first varsity goal. Noah Isleib did his best to keep the Tigers in the game, making 27 saves.

Girls Lacrosse
Attleboro, 4 @ Canton, 14 – FinalCanton jumped out to a 9-1 lead at halftime and got hat tricks from three different players to pick up the home win. Carly Fitzgerald, Ella Yeaton, and Allie McCabe each scored three times for the Bulldogs, while Maggie McCready notched her first career goal. Elyse Broderick made five saves in the win.

Foxboro, 3 @ Franklin, 18 – FinalFranklin earned a big win against fellow division leader Foxboro to close in on another league title. This is the 96th consecutive league win for the Panthers (92nd in a row under head coach Kristin Igoe Guarino). Kaitlyn Carney led the way for the Panthers with six goals. Kate O’Rourke had four goals and pulled down seven draws and Katie Peterson had two goals, three assists, and five draws. Stella Regan added a hat trick, Jackie O’Neil had a pair of goals, and Lindsay Atkinson found the back of the net once for Franklin. Freshman Ella Mahoney made five saves to pick up the win in goal. Cate Noone scored twice and Paige Curran had one goal for the Warriors. Mary Collins had an assist and Audrey Campbell made a pair of saves in the loss.

King Philip, 18 @ Milford, 7 – FinalJulia Marsden scored four times, including the 100th goal of her career, to lead the Warriors to a big road win. Morgan Cunningham and Makenzie McDevitt recorded five points apiece for KP. For Milford, Aislin Bennett (assist) and Emily Croteau each scored twice, Carley Haley had one goal and one assist, Jordan Douglas and Stephanie Goulet each scored once and Fiona Jordan had one assist. Caitlyn Bangert made 10 saves in net for the Hawks.

Attleboro, 4 @ Taunton, 1 – FinalIt took three sets for three matches, but Attleboro won them all plus a win at second doubles to take a win on the road over Taunton. The team of Brady Rosen and Connor Coleman claimed a 6-2, 6-1 win at second doubles for Attleboro’s lone win in straight sets. Ethan Johnson prevailed with a 1-6, 7-5, 6-2 win at second singles while Tyler Rocchio earned a 6-1, 2-6, 6-1 victory at third singles. Arnav Sodhani and Evan Sousa overcame a one-set deficit for a 6-7, 7-6, 6-4 win at first doubles. Taunton’s Michael Kimmer secured a 6-3, 6-2 win at first singles.

Canton, 2 @ North Attleboro, 3 – FinalA sweep of doubles play and a win at third singles handed North Attleboro a 3-2 decision over visiting Canton. Junior Griffin Rodden teamed with sophomore Quinn DiFiore for a 6-1, 6-3 first doubles victory while sophomores Arnav Raghuvanshi and Caleb Cheney teamed up for a hard-fought 7-5, 6-2 win at second doubles. Freshman Darren Liang battled to a 6-3, 6-3 win at third singles for North’s third win. Canton sophomore Max Kupferman grabbed a 6-1, 6-2 win at first singles and senior Suraj Ramanathan earned a 6-1, 6-0 second singles win.

Foxboro, 0 @ Sharon, 5 – Final

Franklin, 3 @ Mansfield, 2 – FinalIt took a second-set tiebreaker at second doubles and a tightly contested three-set battle at first singles, but Franklin prevailed with a 3-2 win in a great match against rival Mansfield. Senior Vayshanv Malhotra split the first two sets but took care of business in the third set to win 6-7, 6-7 (1), 6-2 for the Panthers’ lone point from singles action. The team of seniors Tim O’Keefe and Thomas Broyles rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 win at first doubles while the team of sophomores Jay Gorgas and Ahan Shetty prevailed with a 6-4, 7-6 (6) win at second doubles to get the win for Franklin. Mansfield freshman Neema Khosravani took a 6-1, 6-2 verdict at second singles and sophomore Iniyan Karruppusami secured a 6-0, 6-1 win at third singles for the Hornets.

Milford, 1 @ King Philip, 4 – FinalKing Philip collected wins from second and third singles, plus both doubles matches, in a 4-1 decision over visiting Milford. Jonathan Cohen (6-1, 6-0) and Connor Sachleben (6-1, 6-1) were victorious at second and third singles, respectively, for the Warriors while the team of Adam Gousie and Leo Manning earned a 6-3, 6-4 win at first doubles, and the duo of Arjun Kullo and Ashrith Epuri grabbed a 6-4, 6-2 win at second doubles. Milford junior Tyler Andreotti battled to a 6-4, 4-6, 10-5 win at first singles.

Oliver Ames, 5 @ Stoughton, 0 – FinalOliver Ames went on the road and won all five matches, including four in straight sets, to knock off the Black Knights. Sophomore Nick Westerbeke notched his seventh win of the season with a 6-0, 6-0 verdict at first singles. Ben Dias and Alex Vasiliou were pushed to a third set tiebreaker but prevailed 10-8 to complete the sweep.

Taunton, 1 @ Attleboro, 4 – FinalAttleboro continued its strong season with a pair of wins in both singles and doubles for a 4-1 decision over visiting Taunton. Senior Ella Lynch-Bartek claimed a 6-1, 6-3 win at first singles and sophomore Maddie Fuscaldo added a 6-0, 6-0 victory at second singles for the Bombardiers. Seniors Tina Lam and Saharla Yusuf won the first set in a tiebreaker and then rolled in the second set (7-6 (3), 6-1), and seniors Ally Rebelo and Delia Barthel emerged from second doubles with a 6-0, 6-0 win. Taunton sophomore Ava Alves earned a 6-1, 6-0 win at third singles.

North Attleboro, 4 @ Canton, 1 – FinalThe Rocketeers took wins from all three singles match plus one from doubles action for a 4-1 verdict on the road at Canton. Lauren Hunt (6-1, 6-1), Grace Noreck (6-2, 6-0), and Kyna Shah (6-3, 6-3) swept the singles matches for the Big Red, and the team of Ashlyn Cziria and Teresa Fan secured a 6-3, 6-1 win at first doubles. Canton’s Panayiota Michaelidis and Liv McCloskey prevailed from second doubles with a 6-4, 4-6, 11-9 win.

Mansfield, 0 @ Franklin, 5 – FinalFranklin won all five matches to defend home court against Mansfield, inching closer to a division title with the victory. Izzy Trull dropped just one game in a 6-0, 6-1 first singles win, Chloe Essum grabbed a 6-4, 6-0 win at second singles, and Sarah Schiavo prevailed 6-3, 6-4 in a hard-fought battle at third singles. The team of Allison Bagley and Vedika Vinayak won 6-2, 6-2 at first doubles while Amulya Jayam teamed with Shriya Rajesh for a 6-3, 6-0 second doubles decision.

King Philip, 5 @ Milford, 0 – FinalKing Philip took care of business, taking all five matches in straight sets for a win on the road at Milford. Ahunna James flexed her strong shots on her way to a 6-0, 6-0 win, Shea Mellman toughed it out at second singles to secure a 6-2, 6-2 win, and Sammie Taylor used a consistent top spin to roll to a 6-0, 6-0 win at third singles. The team of Resha Ahoy and Lauren Casper improved as the day went on in a 6-3, 6-0 first doubles win while Palina Yakimovich teamed up with freshman Jaelyn Dang, who was making her varsity debut, for a 6-1, 6-1 win at second doubles.

Stoughton, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 4 – FinalOliver Ames celebrated its six seniors by defending home court in a win over Stoughton. Senior Ally Brass battled to a 4-6, 6-4, 12-10 win at third singles, seniors Caroline Peper and Morgan Vasiliou didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 verdict at first doubles, and seniors Kate McLaughlin and Shelby Brass emerged from second doubles with a 6-4, 6-1 win. Hannah Farber added a 6-0, 6-2 win at first singles for OA while Emilia Lada grabed a 4-6, 6-4, 13-11 win at second singles for Stoughton.

Attleboro, 5 @ Milford, 3 – FinalBilly Saltmarsh and Ben Hochwarter combined for a strong pitching effort on the mound and the Bombardiers picked up a key win on the road at Milford. Saltmarsh struck out eight in 5.1 innings of work to get the win while Hochwarter had two strikeouts in 2.1 innings. The Bombardiers had eight hits on the day with Evan Houle, Cooper Johnson, and Saltmarsh each recording a pair. Brody McKenna added a base hit and a run scored and Tyler Dunlea had one hit and one RBI.

Stoughton, 3 @ Canton, 1 – FinalStoughton used two runs in the top of the first inning, a key insurance run in the sixth, and a great pitching effort from Joseph Rush and Anthony Tilton to take down Canton for its first league win of the season. Anthony Girolamo smacked a two-out single to score both Brad Franey (walk) and Anthony Tilton (single) to give the Black Knights an early 2-0 lead. Rush allowed just one run on five hits and two walks, striking out one to earn the win. Tilton picked up a two-inning save, allowing two hits and one walk with a pair of strikeouts in two shutout innings. Canton cut the deficit in half in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI double from Eddie Gillis to score Matt Hart (triple) but Stoughton got it back in the top of the sixth on an RBI from Tilton. Hayden Rose tossed a complete game for the Bulldogs, allowing three runs in just five hits and one walk, striking out three.

Foxboro, 3 @ North Attleboro, 1 – FinalFreshman Nolan Gordon tossed a complete game for his fifth win of the season and the Warriors scored three runs in the top of the sixth to stun North Attleboro on the road at Community Field. Gordon allowed just one run (unearned) on three hits and three walks, striking out five for the victory. The Rocketeers took the lead with the first run of the game in the fourth on a one-out triple from Tyler DeMattio, who came home to score after a throwing error on the same play. Foxboro rallied in the top of the sixth as Jack Watts reached on a dropped third strike and Ryan LeClair was hit by a pitch to put two runners on. Sean O’Leary tied the game with a double to center to bring Watts home, and then on an 0-2 count, Louis Carangelo smashed a triple to right to bring in both LeClair and O’Leary to make it 3-1. Gordon worked around a one-out single from DeMattio in the sixth and a one-out walk to Dillon Harding in the seventh to get the win.

Taunton, 1 @ Franklin, 7 – FinalFranklin junior blasted a three-run home run over the fence in right field in a five-run third inning as the Panthers avenged a loss to Taunton from earlier in the season. Sophomore Henry Digiorgio and junior Jase Lyons had back-to-back RBI singles to put the hosts ahead 4-1 and then Chin sent a 2-0 pitch deep to right to make it 7-1. Franklin took the lead on a sac fly from Evan Raider in the bottom of the first before Taunton leveled things on an RBI single from Shawn Cali in the top of the second. The Panthers went back ahead in the bottom of the second with a sac fly from Ben Jarosz. James Kuczmiec, who normally comes on in relief for the Panthers, had a terrific outing on the mound with just one run allowed on five hits and two walks, striking out a pair in a complete-game effort. Evan Cali tossed three scoreless innings in relief for the Tigers, allowing four hits with two strikeouts.

King Philip, 1 @ Mansfield, 2 – FinalAfter King Philip scored the first run of the game in the top of the fifth, Mansfield pushed across two in the bottom half and that was enough for the Hornets in a tight battle against the Warriors. Shawn Legere presented the visitors with a 1-0 lead with an RBI triple that plated Rudy Gately for a 1-0 lead. Mansfield starter Aaron Blinn (6 IP, 5 H, 1 BB, 1 ER, 8 K) stranded the runner at third though, inducing a ground ball in the next at-bat. Cian Goulet reached on an error and took second to lead off the bottom half, advanced to third on a sac bunt from Aiden Jones, and then scored on an RBI single from Matt DeShiro to make it 1-1. Another KP error kept the inning alive and Conner Zukowski, who had walked earlier in the inning, came home to score the go-ahead run on a wild pitch. Connor Curtis retired the side in order in the bottom of the seventh, including two strikeouts, to get the save. Gately pitched well for the Warriors, going five innings with two runs (unearned) allowed on three hits, two walks, and six strikeouts. Max Robison had three hits on the day for KP while Jake Maydak had two for the Hornets.

Sharon, 4 @ Oliver Ames, 9 – FinalOliver Ames took the lead with a four-run third inning and then extended it by scoring again in the fourth, the sixth, and seventh to secure a win over Sharon. Ian Kelly and Nathan Carpentier each drove in a run and Jack Richardson plated two with a single in the third as the Tigers established a 4-0 lead. Brad Washburne scored on a passed ball and Nathanial Lewis added an RBI single in the fourth, Kelly drew a bases-loaded walk in the sixth, and both Washburne and Ryan Lemay drove in a run in the seventh to make it 9-0. Sharon pushed across four runs with two outs in the bottom of the seventh with Dan Okstein driving in a run with a single, Connor Blaney drawing a bases-loaded walk and Liam Conway plating two with a double to left. Richardson got the win on the mound, tossing 4.2 shutout innings with one hit and five walks allowed, and five strikeouts.








Softball
Milford, 0 @ Attleboro, 12 – Final (5 inn.)Attleboro’s Lily Routhier had a game to remember, tossing a no-hitter while also having a big day offensively to lead the Bombardiers over visiting Milford. Routhier didn’t allow a hit or a walk in five innings of work, striking out four with strong defense behind her. At the dish, she went 3-for-4 and knocked in three runs. Lauren Eby also had three hits with four RBI, Sarah Maher added two hits and an RBI, and Lindsey Perry had a hit and an RBI in the win. Kayla Goldrick smashed a two-run homer over the fence in the bottom of the fourth for Attleboro.

Canton, 4 @ Stoughton, 6 – Final Kerry Driscoll had a strong showing in the circle and Kate Bulger had a big day at the dish to lead Stoughton to a close win over Canton. Driscoll allowed just three hits in a complete-game effort for her eighth win of the season. Bulger had three hits on the day, including a double, and drove in a run. Leila Alaoui added an RBI double while Sydney Menz chipped in with a base hit and two RBI.

North Attleboro, 4 @ Foxboro, 0 – FinalNorth extended its lead at the top of the Davenport division and swept the season series with Foxboro. Kelly Colleran continues to dominate in the circle, striking out 19 batters to match the program record that she set last Friday and giving up only two infield singles. North broke the deadlock with two outs in the fifth. Pinch hitter Arianna McDavitt singled to start a rally and came in to score the game-winner on Mandi Hanewich’s triple. After Ally Levine drew a walk, Colleran knocked in a pair of runs with a double. Maryellen Charette scored North’s fourth run in the sixth. She doubled and came in on a sac fly from Emma Hanwell. Zoey McDonough returned from injury for North and had a pair of hits.

Franklin, 3 @ Taunton, 15 – Final (6 inn.)Taunton led 4-3 heading to the bottom of the fifth and exploded for 11 runs over the next two innings to seal the win. The Tigers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first and made it 4-1 in the third, but the Panthers got a pair of runs in the fourth to get back within one. Taunton got four in the fifth and then seven more in the sixth to close it out. Ava Venturelli was 4-for-4 with a pair of homers and drove in five runs to the lead the Tigers. Brooke Aldrich was 3-for-5 with a homer and three RBI, Hayley Krockta added a solo homer, and Mia Fernandes was 2-for-3 with three RBI in the nine-hole. Cate Larson went the distance, allowing no earned runs, to pick up the win.

Mansfield, 0 @ King Philip, 12 – Final (5 inn.)King Philip’s offense came alive with eight runs in the bottom of the second inning and extended the lead with runs in the fourth and fifth innings to take down Mansfield. Emma Sheehan was stellar in the circle, allowing just one hit and one walk, striking out six in five scoreless innings. Charlotte Raymond drove in a pair to get the offense going and Mia Bennett pushed another runner home to make it 3-0, and then the Warriors added five more runs with two outs. Ava Kelley, Meg Sherwood, Liv Petrillo (walk), Raymond (HBP), and Bennett all brought in a run during the sequence. Raymond added an RBI in the fourth and then KP plated three more in the fifth: an RBI from Missy Canning, an RBI double from Taylor Regan, and a throwing error for the final run.

Sharon, 2 @ Oliver Ames, 21 – Final (5 inn.) Oliver Ames came out on fire with nine runs in the first and 10 more in the second to take a big win over visiting Sharon. Junior captains Maddie Homer (4-for-4, five RBI, three runs) and Katie Melendy (2-for-5, four RBI, two runs) paced the offense for the Tigers. Junior Lexi Galsband, sophomore Madison Monteiro and freshman Devon Morris had two hits and three RBI each for OA. Melendy got the win in the circle, allowing just three hits with 10 strikeouts.

Sharon, 9 @ North Attleboro, 18 – FinalJared Vacher had a strong showing at the face off X, setting North Attleboro for a big day offensively in a non-league win over Sharon. Clayton Billingkoff and Matt Antonetti each had five goals apiece with three assists while Connor Ruppert added a pair of goals and four helpers. The Rocketeers played well defensively in front of JT Gallagher (seven saves).

Oliver Ames, 13 @ Hull, 4 – FinalOliver Ames went on the road and returned home with a 13-4 verdict over Hull. The Tigers had five players find the back of the net with junior Ben Reardon leading the charge with seven goals. Wyatt Fritchman added a pair while Ryan Jaco, Alex McAndrew, Wes Tower, and Ryan Moore each scored once. Junior Noah Isleib made 10 saves in net for the win.

Girls Lacrosse
Canton, 12 @ Oliver Ames, 9 – FinalAfter building a one-goal lead at the half (7-6), Canton held the hosts to just half of that production in the second half to get a key win on the road. Ella Yeaton paced the attack for the Bulldogs with five goals while Emily McCabe added four goals and four assists. Elyse Broderick made eight saves in net to secure the win.

North Attleboro, 18 @ Sharon, 7 – FinalNorth jumped out to a 12-2 lead at halftime to pick up the road win. Bailey Garte scored three times for the Eagles, who also got goals from Keira Lydeard, Anna Hertzel, Lauren McLaughlin, and Kaitlyn Galeota. McLaughlin also gave the Eagles a strong presence on the draw and the defensive end of the field. Gilli Aronson stepped into goal for the first time this season and saved five of the 11 shots she faced, as the Eagles played nearly even in the second half.

Milford, 10 vs. Blackstone Valley, 6 – FinalAfter seeing a four-goal lead slip away to visiting Blackstone Valley, Milford scored five of the final six goals to secure the win. The Hawks had a 5-1 lead before the visitors chipped away, eventually pulling even at 5-5 early in the second half. Emily Croteau (two goals, three assists), Aislinn Bennett (four goals, two assists), Carly Haley (three goals, one assist), and Stephanie Goulet (goal) paced the offense.

Milford’s second doubles tandem of Pedro DeSousa and Todd Ostertag battled for a 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 win.

Canton, 3 @ Stoughton, 2 – FinalCanton’s Davis Lamb and Kevin Moltenbrey prevailed in a battle at first doubles that went three sets to secure the clinching point for the Bulldogs in a win on the road over Stoughton. Lamb and Moltenbrey earned a 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 win to clinch the victory. Max Kupferman (6-0, 6-1) and Suraj Ramanathan (6-0, 6-0) added wins at first and second singles, respectively, for the Bulldogs. Senior Bo Canfield grabbed a 2-6, 7-5, 7-5 win at second singles while the team of freshman Luca Meyer and sophomore Ryan Fossella battled to a 6-0, 4-6, 7-6 (3) win at first doubles. Garrett Spillane added a 6-2, 6-2 win at first singles and Raj Jetty added a 6-1, 6-0 win at third singles. North Attleboro’s Aashman Gupta and Caleb Cheney earned a 6-4, 6-1 win at second doubles.

A bases-clearing triple from Anthony Girolamo brought Brad Franey, Anthony Tilton, and Sean Farley home as the Black Knights staked a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Louis Carangelo answered with a two-run single and Jack Watts followed with a two-run double in the next at-bat as Foxboro pushed across four runs in the bottom of the second to take a lead that it never relinquished. Foxboro added a run in the bottom of the third (Tyler Prescott), the bottom of the fifth (Tom Marcucella RBI single), and in the bottom of the sixth (Carangelo RBI single). Sean O’Leary tossed a complete game to get the win for the Warriors, including six shutout innings after giving up three in the first. O’Leary allowed just four hits and one walk, striking out 10.

Maia Mahoney scored her first career goal in the win. Taunton received goals from Sarah Clark and Maddison Szala.

Milford got off to a strong start with a run in the top of the first and added three more in the second to claim a 4-0 lead but Attleboro’s offense bounced back with a six-run second inning and followed with a seven-run third inning. Dame finished with three hits and six RBI, Danny Johnson also had three hits and five RBI, and Cian Kelleher and Ben Hochwarter (two RBI, four runs) each added a pair of hits. Billy Saltmarsh got the win on the mound while Johnny Pagano struck out four in three innings out of the bullpen.

Canton, 6 @ Stoughton, 3 – FinalCanton scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to break the stalemate and earn a win on the road over rival Stoughton. The Dogs and Knights went back-and-forth, the visitors scoring one run in each of the first, third, and fifth innings with the hosts responding with single-run innings in the second, third, and one in the bottom of the fifth to tie it 3-3. Hayden Rose tossed a complete game for the Bulldogs to get the win, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits, striking out three. Rose helped his cause at the plate by going 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI, including the go-ahead hit in the seventh. Nico Bonanno added three hits and four RBI, plating the two insurance runs in the seventh on a single. Andy Butler added three hits, three stolen bases, and two runs for the Bulldogs.

North Attleboro, 9 @ Foxboro, 1 – FinalNorth pushed across five runs in the top of the third and added a run in each of the next three innings to score a win on the road over Foxboro. Derek Maceda (three runs) and David Floyd (two RBI, two runs) had three hits apiece to account for half of North’s 12 hits on the day. Maceda’s one-out triple sparked a big fifth inning for North, who had three consecutive two-out doubles in the frame. Christian Bates added a hit, a run scored, and three RBI on the day. Anthony Wescott had a strong defensive performance at first for the Rocketeers and Danny Curran tossed five scoreless innings to get the win. Foxboro freshman Nolan Gordon recorded a pair of hits and classmate Mike Marcucella knocked in a run in the bottom of the sixth.

Mansfield, 3 @ King Philip, 5 – FinalMansfield surged ahead with a three-run fourth inning but King Philip had an immediate answer in the bottom half, plating four to take the lead for good. Conner Zukowski (two hits), Jared Fraone, and Jake Maydak each drove in a run to give the Hornets a lead after 3.5 innings. In the bottom of the half, Rudy Gately drove in both Shawn Legere (single) and Brendan Sencaj (single) to cut the deficit to one, and a single from Dan Nineve brought Gately home to tie it. Nick Viscusi, who had walked, scored on a wild pitch to take the lead. In the fifth, Legere singled, stole second, took third on a single from Sencaj, and scored on a ground ball from Viscusi. Gately got the win on the mound for the Warriors, allowing three runs on six hits and a pair of walks, striking out eight. Sophomore Tommy McLeish struck out two in a scoreless inning of relief, and Sencaj closed the door with a scoreless seventh inning.

Sharon, 3 @ Oliver Ames, 4 – FinalOliver Ames tacked on two key runs in the bottom of the sixth and held off a last-inning comeback bid from Sharon to get the win. Patrick Finnerty smashed a home run to center in the bottom of the first for an early lead, and after a double from senior Andrew Rodgers, courtesy runner Brendan Connolly scored after a pair of ground outs. Sharon cut the deficit in half with a run in the top of the sixth on an RBI from Will Hippler but the Tigers responded with two runs, the latter coming off an RBI double from Nathanial Lewis (two hits). Sharon loaded the bases in the seventh and Dan Okstein drove in two runs to make it a one-run game, but OA’s Jo Jo Gaultier closed the door to secure the win. Nick Clark pitched well for OA, allowing just two hits and two walks while striking out nine in five scoreless innings of work.

Kayla Goldrick recorded three hits on the day, including a double and a home run, to pace the offense. Sarah Maher added three hits for the Bombardiers, who totaled 16 hits as a team, and Emily Eby went 2-for-2 with two walks and three runs scored. Milford freshman Olivia Baglione had two hits and two RBI for the Hawks, including her first career home run (solo home run).

Stoughton, 17 @ Canton, 8 – FinalFor the second time in the last three games, Stoughton’s offense exploded for double-digit runs, this time in a win on the road over rival Canton. Senior Sydney Menz continued to rake at the plate, going 4-for-6 with three base hits and a triple while Julie Powers added three singles in the win. Kate Bulger pitched in with a pair of singles and Alyssa Edwards had a double and played stellar defense. Kerry Driscoll threw the complete game for her third win of the season.

Foxboro, 1 @ North Attleboro, 2 – FinalKelly Colleran struck out 16 batters, allowed two infield hits, and faced only three batters over the minimum to pick up the win for North. The Rocketeers manufactured a run in the third. Mandi Hanewich got things started with an infield hit and then stole second. Ally Levine drove her in with a single. North got the winner in the fifth. Emma Hanwell walked and Julia Forman bunted her into scoring position. Hanwell would eventually come home on a passed ball. Maddie Bailey had a couple of strong defensive plays at second to help North hold on for the win.

Taunton, 5 @ Franklin, 4 – Final (8 Inn.)Taunton rallied with a run in the top of the seventh on a solo homer by Angie Lynch to force extra innings and then, after scoring three runs in the eighth, held off a Panthers rally in the bottom half to pull out the extra-innings win. Taunton and Franklin each scored a run in the first, but the Panthers grabbed the lead in the sixth before Lynch tied the game in the seventh. Franklin’s first run came off an RBI single from junior Avery Chalk. Chalk then put Franklin ahead, 2-1, after a fielder’s choice saw Katy Liberman score. Brooke Aldrich went 3-for-4 with two RBI and gave the visitors the lead with a home run in the first, and Kaysie DeMoura (triple) also drove in two for the Tigers. Reece Allen had two hits for the Panthers, while Hailey Fales was 3-for-4 and drive in a pair. Aislinn Lavery went the distance for Franklin, giving up nine hits and four earned runs. Liv Mendonca went six innings for Taunton and allowed seven hits and two runs. Cate Larson picked up the win for the Tigers, pitching two innings of relief, striking out three, and allowing a pair of runs.

King Philip, 4 @ Mansfield, 0 – FinalKing Philip held Mansfield off the board to pick up a fourth straight win to start the season. King Philip cashed in with a three-run fifth inning and added another in the top of the sixth in the win. Ava Kelley drove in the first run with a sac fly, Taylor Regan drove in Charlotte Raymond (walk) with a single, and Mia Bennett singled up the middle to bring Meg Sherwood (walk) for a 3-0 lead. In the top of the sixth, Raymond smacked a two-out single to plate sophomore Caitlyn Sencaj (double). Jordan Bennett got the win, tossing a complete-game shutout with five strikeouts. The Hornets had eight hits and had runners on base in all but one inning. They left 11 on base, including the bases loaded in the sixth. Callie Lake and Jill Koppy each had a pair of hits for Mansfield, with Lake also making six out in center. Liv Madeira, Alanna Conley, Molly Kucharski, and Olivia DeTrolio each had one hit in the loss. DeTrolio also made a nice play at third in the third inning, cutting down the lead runner at the plate after the Warriors had loaded the bases.

Oliver Ames, 7 @ Sharon, 0 – FinalKatie Melendy tossed a one-hit shutout to lead Oliver Ames into the win column for the first time this season as the Tigers took down rival Sharon. Melendy struck out eight in the circle while adding a double and a run scored offensively. After two scoreless innings, Oliver Ames scored in each of the final five innings, including a pair of runs in each the third and fourth innings. Freshman Devon Morris (2-for-3, RBI, two runs) and Madison Monteiro (RBI, run) scored in the third off a hit from Maddie Homer (two hits), and Morris and Monteiro each added an RBI in the fourth to push the lead to 4-0. Freshman Emily Martin drove in a run in the fifth and Sammy Johnson had an RBI in the sixth to score Caitlin Miller (two hits, triple).

Attleboro, 22 @ Milford, 6 – Final

Sharon, 11 @ Canton, 10 – FinalAfter a pair of one-goal losses, Sharon ended up on the right side of a close contest with an 11-10 win on the road over Canton. Ben Shocket went 20-for-25 at the faceoff X and added four goals while Brady Daylor had a big day offensive, scoring four times with three assists. Gabe Korn chipped in with a hat trick for the Eagles and Matt Powers made 13 saves in net.

North Attleboro, 8 @ Franklin, 24 – FinalClick here for a Photo Gallery from this game. Luke Davis scored seven times and Jayden Consigli had six goals, as Franklin scored more than 20 goals for the third straight game to start the season. It was a close game through the first quarter. Davis and Consigli each had hat tricks in the opening 12 minutes, but Matt Antonetti, Connor Ruppert, and Brady Backner each scored for North o go into the first break at 6-3. Franklin broke the game open in the second with four goals in just 1:27. Tyler Sacchetti had the first two, just 16 seconds apart, Consigli fed Connor Sullivan for a rip, and then Davis whipped a lefty shot under the bar to make it 10-6. Consigli fired in a man-up goal and Chris Drake took a hit to find the back of the net and extend the lead to nine. Antonetti made a nice steal on a clearance and scored in the last minute of the half, but Franklin led 12-4. Clayton Billingkoff started the third with a goal for North, but Franklin scored the next nine to put the game away. Davis added three more, and Sacchetti and Consigli each had a pair. Ryan Grasso and Ravin Chaudhury also scored and CJ Perro got his first of the night. Billingkoff got a second to make it 21-6 after three. Antonetti completed his hat trick in the third. Perro would add two more and finished with a hat trick as well. After a tough first quarter, Justin Alexander ended up winning 21-of-28 draws and Matt Corvi made seven saves for the Panthers. JT Gallagher had six saves for North.

Oliver Ames, 5 @ Mansfield, 15 – FinalFor Oliver Ames senior Wyatt Fritchman and sophomore Ryan Jaco each scored a pair of goals while junior Noah Isleib made 17 saves in net for the Tigers.

Girls Lacrosse
Milford, 15 @ Attleboro, 5 – FinalMilford evened its record at 2-2 by picking up its second road win of the season, knocking off the Bombardiers. Junior captain Caitlyn Bangert had a standout performance in net for the Scarlet Hawks, turning away 13 shots in the win. Aislinn Bennett (seven goals), Carly Haley (four goals), and Emily Croteau (three goals) led the offense for Milford, who built a 5-0 lead early. Senior Stephanie Goulet also scored in the win for Milford.

Canton, 17 @ Sharon, 6 – FinalSeven different Bulldogs found the back of the net in a win on the road over Sharon. Allie McCabe paced the offense with a hat trick plus three assists, Emily McCabe added five goals, and Devan Spinale also netted a hat trick in the win. Annie McLean and Maggie Dailey scored their first career goals and Canton’s Elyse Broderick made nine saves in the cage. Tess Letendre had a strong game in the Sharon goal, making 13 saves to keep the Eagles in the game. Keira Lydeard led Sharon with four goals and Bailey Garte had the other two.

Foxboro, 10 vs. Hingham, 18 – FinalHingham outscored the Warriors 10-3 in the second half to pull out the win and hand Foxboro its first loss of the season. Paige Curran, who reached 100 career points last week, and Mya Waryas each scored four goals and each had an assist. Cate Noone and Val Beigel also found the back of the net for the Warriors. Lilli Jones made six saves in the loss.

Franklin, 20 @ North Attleboro, 1 – FinalFranklin hit the 20-goal mark for the third straight game to open the season, this time rolling to a win over the Rocketeers on the road. The Panthers dominated on draw controls, winning 21-of-23 attempts, led by four from Katie Peterson, and three apiece from Peyton Crandall, Kate O’Rourke, and Kaitlyn Carney. Stella Regan paced the Franklin offense — which featured 10 goal scorers — with four goals and an assist. Brigid Earley made seven saves in net for the win.

Taunton, 0 @ King Philip, 16 – FinalKing Philip secured its third straight win to open the season and second shutout of the year, taking down visiting Taunton. Makenzie McDevitt led the charge with a hat trick while Julia Marsden (assist), Haley Izydorczak (assist), and Abby MacDonald each had a pair of goals. Sammy Cloutier had four draw controls and added a goal as well for KP.

Attleboro, 4 @ Milford, 1 – FinalA doubles sweep plus two more wins from singles action gave Attleboro a win on the road over Milford. At first doubles, the team of Tyler Rocchio and Kyle Neuendorf continued their strong start to the season with a 6-1, 6-1 win and Malachi Jefferson and Connor Coleman teamed up for a 6-2, 6-1 win at second doubles. Ethan Johnson was victorious at first singles (6-1, 6-0) and Arvov Sodhani emerged with a 7-6, 6-1 win at third singles. For the Hawks, Tyler Andreotti earned a 6-1, 6-3 win at second singles.

Stoughton, 1 @ Canton, 4 – FinalMax Kupferman and Suraj Ramanathan swept at first and second singles, respectively, and the Bulldogs defended home court against visiting Stoughton. Canton’s Kevin Moltenbrey and Charlie Doody won 6-3, 6-2 at first doubles and the team of Max LaRose and Davis Lamb grabbed a win at second doubles, taking a third-set tiebreaker. Stoughton’s Anish Sinha won 6-0, 6-1 at third singles.

Foxboro, 3 @ North Attleboro, 2 – FinalFoxboro senior Bo Canfield bounced back from a loss in the second set to win the third, completing the Warriors’ singles sweep over North. Canfield took second singles 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, senior Garrett Spillane secured a 6-2, 7-5 win at first singles and freshman Raj Jette took a 7-6 (7-0), 6-2 decision at third singles. North’s Griffin Rodden and Arnav Raghuvanshi teamed up to take first doubles (6-2, 6-1), and the team of sophomore Caleb Cheney and Ashman Gupta prevailed 7-5, 6-4 at second doubles.

Taunton, 0 @ Franklin, 5 – FinalFranklin earned a clean sweep, taking all five matches in straight sets in a win over visiting Taunton. Seniors Vayshnav Malhotra (6-0, 6-1), Thomas Broyles (6-1, 6-1), and Drew Mahoney (6-0, 6-0) all had strong showings sweep singles action. Senior Tim O’Keefe and sophomore Jay Gorgas battled to a 6-0, 6-1 win at first doubles, and the Panthers’ second doubles team of senior Aidan Karlowicz and sophomore Ahan Shetty didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at second doubles.

King Philip, 0 @ Mansfield, 5 – FinalSophomore Nikhil Nain and junior Jesse Colchamiro won a pair of tiebreakers to take second doubles in straight sets, completing Mansfield’s win over King Philip. Nain and Colchamiro prevailed 7-6 (1), 7-6 (4), and Mansfield’s first doubles team of junior Benson Delaney and senior Jonah Fine gabbed a 6-2, 6-1 win at first doubles. Neema Khosravani (6-0, 6-0), Kailash Elumelai (6-0, 6-1), Iniyan Karruppusami (6-3, 6-0) combined to lose just four total games in sweeping singles action.

Senior Ella Lynch-Bartek grabbed a 6-1, 6-1 win at first singles, sophomore Maddie Fuscaldo won 6-1, 6-4 at second singles, and junior Zoe Stanley earned a 6-4, 6-2 decision at third singles. Attleboro’s first doubles team of Tina Lam and Saharla Yusuf only lost one game in a 6-1, 6-0 win while the sophomore duo of Kyra Johnson and Presley Biller battled to a 7-0 (9-7), 6-2 win at second doubles.

North Attleboro, 2 @ Foxboro, 3 – FinalBehind a pair of wins in singles action and another from doubles, Foxboro secured a key 3-2 win over division foe North Attleboro. Athena Li rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles, Hailey Kornbluth battled to a 6-1, 6-2 victory at second singles, and Foxboro’s first doubles tandem of Juliana Preston and Abby Costa grabbed a 6-3, 6-4 win.

Franklin, 4 @ Taunton, 1 – FinalA pair of singles wins and a pair of doubles wins was enough to lead Franklin to a victory on the road. Freshman Izzy Trull earned a 6-3, 6-2 win at first singles for the Panthers while senior Sarah Schiavo continued her strong start to the season with a 6-4, 6-2 third singles win. Senior Amulya Jayam and junior Shriya Rasish bagged a 6-3, 6-1 win at first doubles, and sophomore Chloe Essam and junior Allison Bagley emerged from double seconds action with a 6-3, 6-1 win.

Sharon, 3 @ Oliver Ames, 2 – FinalOliver Ames got one win in singles and one in doubles to put the Eagles on upset alert, but Sharon took home a win to stay unbeaten in league action. Ale Aguilar won 6-4, 6-1 at second singles and Hannah Faberman added a 6-0, 6-1 third singles win for the Eagles, who also got a point from a second doubles win from Sash Fein and Sophia Oh (6-3, 6-3). OA freshman Hannah Farber secured a 3-6, 6-2, 10-5 win at first singles, and the Tigers’ first doubles tandem of Caroline Peper and Morgan Vasiliou earned a 6-4, 7-5 win.

Liz Bickett, Sarah Kelly, and Ellie Bohane each went 3-for-4 and they combined to drive in six runs. Taylor Reynolds continued to be hot at the plate with another three-hit day and Amanda Vrabel went 3-for-3 with an RBI. Abby Chin drove in three runs for the Bulldogs.

Franklin, 16 @ King Philip, 8 – FinalFranklin raced out to a 10-4 lead by halftime and never looked back to pick up a key division win over rival King Philip. Matt Lazzaro paced the Panthers with six goals and five assists.

Canton, 15 @ Sharon, 8 – FinalCanton earned the win in its first league game of the season and moved back above .500. Jenna Goldstein scored four of Sharon’s goals and added an assist. Cass Barbera had two goals and Keira Lydeard and Athena Merck each scored one. Molly McAlevey had an assist for the Eagles.

Oliver Ames, 4 @ Foxboro, 19 – FinalFoxboro’s offense continued to roll, as the Warriors made it 37 goals over the past two games and got to 100 for the season. Ella Waryas scored five times and assisted on five others and her classmate Lilly Vey added four goals and four assists, as the seniors spearheaded the Foxboro attack. The underclassmen also stepped up, as sophomores Paige Curran and Dylan Rappoli each scored three goals, with Curran adding three helpers as well. Val Beigel and Mary Collins each scored once and assisted on one, while Mya Waryas and Kate Collins tallied once apiece. Maddie Maher made three saves.

Mansfield, 10 @ Taunton, 8 – FinalFor Taunton, Alana Tavares had six goals and Tasia Lajoie scored twice but the Tigers fell at home to Mansfield.

Attleboro, 3 @ Milford, 2 – FinalMilford prevailed with a 3-2 win after the teams finished Monday’s contest and then Attleboro secured a 3-2 win in a new match started on Wednesday. In Milford’s win, Thiago Viera won 6-1, 6-2 at second singles while both of the Hawks’ doubles teams won by default (Eric Doucette, Leo Donnelly, 6-4, 1-0 at first singles & Conner McCloud, Nick Figueroa, 6-1, 2-1). On Wednesday, Attleboro swept both doubles matches and one once in singles. Ethan Johnson won 10-3 at first singles, the team of Kevin Rebelo and Malachi Jefferson earned a 10-4 win at first doubles, and Kyle Neuendorf and Alex Harrop picked up a 10-5 win at second doubles.

Foxboro, 36 @ Stoughton, 100 – Final

Milford, 31 @ Mansfield, 100 – FinalMansfield earned an impressive win at home, taking first in 15 of the 16 events, sweeping the discus, and taking the top two spots in four events. In the discus, Charles Newcomb’s throw of 96’2″ took first while Aengus McGill (92’5.25″) and Billy Gardner (81’5.5″) were second and third, respectively. Mansfield finished first and second in the 1 Mile (Chris Leonard, 4:48; Collin Stevens, 4:49), the 400M (Jack Taylor, 53.0; Caden Riley, 53.1), the 110M hurdles (Ryan Munroe, Evan Rawlings), and the shot put (Newcomb 41’10.5″; Gardner 35’4″).

Girls Outdoor Track
Foxboro, 54 @ Stoughton, 80 – Final

Milford, 65 @ Mansfield, 71 – Final Mansfield swept the 1 Mile race and took first and second in both the triple jump and the shot put in a close win over Milford. Katie Miller crossed first in the 1 Mile in 5:53, followed by teammates Celia Puleo (6:01) and Meghan Johnston (6:07). In the triple jump, Caitlin Haley landed at 32’2.75″ for first place while Ashley Kirley was right behind at 31’7.5″ for second place. Alissa Cooke’s throw of 27’9.5″ took first in the shot put while Jess Miller earned second place at 25’6.5″.

Volleyball
King Philip, 0 @ Nipmuc, 3 – FinalWhile the scoreboard didn’t favor the visiting Warriors, head coach Emily Diiulis walked away impressed with her squad. KP took a lead in the second game but couldn’t hold on in a 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-22) loss on the road. “I’m so happy with the improvements we’ve made over the last week,” Diiulis said. “The boys have been working hard in practice and it showed tonight. We had a lot of really great rallies.” Josh Saintilus played well with six kills and five digs, Thomas Beck had a strong showing at the net with nine kills, and libero Billy Hessler finished with eight digs.

Taunton, 3 @ Brockton, 2 – FinalTaunton saw its two-set lead disappear on the road but recovered to win the final set and the match, 3-2 (25-14, 25-23, 20-25, 20-25, 15-11). Daniel Medina spread the ball around on the offensive side, finishing with 61 assists and six digs. Medina fed the ball to Tyler Stewart (28 kills, three blocks, 10 digs), Mattia Casagrande (11 kills, 17 digs), Jakob Thorpe (19 kills, 19 digs, five aces), Faisal Mass (eight kills, five blocks) and Colin MacDougal (three kills, three blocks, seven digs). Travis Nunes continued to be a rock defensively for the Tigers with 15 digs.

Junior Billy Saltmarsh picked up the win with five strong innings of work on the mound while sophomore Danny Johnson pitched well in two innings of relief.

Canton, 6 @ Stoughton, 0 – FinalCanton junior Andrew Middleton dazzled on the mound for the second straight start, tossing his second straight shutout. After a perfect game in his first start, Middleton allowed just one hit — a bunt — in a complete-game effort, striking out 16 for the second straight contest. He walked just two batters while throwing 65 of his 94 pitches for strikes. Offensively, senior Cam Sanchez set the tone from the leadoff spot with three hits, two runs scored and an RBI, sophomore Matt Chafin drove in two runs on two hits, and Steven Burbank and Middleton each had an RBI.

Foxboro, 4 @ Sharon, 1 – FinalFoxboro got the bats going early with three runs in the second inning and Dylan Quinn was solid on the mound from start to finish as the Warriors picked up their first win of the season. Quinn allowed one run on three hits and two walks, striking out two in five innings of work. Sophomore Sean O’Leary pitched two scoreless innings in relief with one strikeout for the save. Sophomore Ryan LeClair (run) and junior Jack Watts (run) each had a pair of hits for Foxboro, which totaled 10 as a team. Liam Mulkern and Quinn reach drove in a run in the win.

Franklin, 4 @ Milford, 2 – FinalAfter Milford tied the game with a run in the bottom half of the sixth, Franklin regained the lead with two runs in the top of the seventh to sweep the series with the Hawks. Jacob Jette’s pinch-hit RBI single drove in Jack Marino for what proved to be the game-winning run, and Jette scored the insurance run on contact from Ryan Gerety. Ethan Voellmicke picked up the win in a relief appearance, tossing two innings with three strikeouts while James Kuczmiec earned the save, stranding the tying run at first. Jake Fitzgibbons was the starter for the Panthers, allowing one run on three hits in four innings of work with three strikeouts. Nate Cooke added a hit, a walk, and two RBI for the Panthers. For Milford, Wes Solomon tossed a complete game with four runs allowed (three earned) on four hits, striking out two while Mario Lee had a hit and a run scored.

King Philip, 5 @ Mansfield, 6 – FinalKing Philip rallied to erase a five-run deficit but Mansfield jumped back ahead with the winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning. Senior Chris Potts drew a bases-loaded walk to push across the go-ahead run as Mansfield moved to 2-0 on the season. The Hornets plated four runs in the top of the first and added one more in the second but KP responded with two in the third and three in the fifth to tie the game. Potts’ walk was one of nine drawn by the Hornets on the day, who had just five hits total. Juniors Anthony Sacchetti and Aaron Blinn each had a hit and an RBI for Mansfield. Freshman Jake Maydak earned the win in relief, striking out three with just one walk allowed in 2.1 scoreless innings of work. For KP, Shawn Legere went 3-for-3 with a walk, an RBI, and two runs scored, and Conor Cooke recorded a pair of hits, runs, and RBI.

Oliver Ames, 8 @ North Attleboro, 6 – FinalOliver Ames rallied from a four-run deficit, scoring four runs in the top of the sixth inning to secure a win on the road against North Attleboro. Jadon Ricci had the big two-run hit in the sixth and added a run himself on a passed ball. Jake Waxman added a hit and an RBI and Derek Milliken had two hits, including a double, and an RBI to pace the Tigers’ offense. Kosta Spiliakos pitched five innings for OA with two strikeouts and two walks while Nick Clark threw two innings of hitless relief, striking out the last four batters to earn the save.

Hanna Aldrich hit a pair of homers and drive in five runs and freshman Sam Lincoln struck out 10 over five innings to earn a win in her first career start, as Taunton swept its home-and-home series with Attleboro. Taunton wasted little time getting its offense into gear. Angie Lynch and Kyleah Plumb had back-to-back singles and then Aldrich drilled a homer to left center. Although one of the runners was ruled out for not touching third, Taunton got its third run when McKenzie McAloon crushed a solo homer to left field. The Tigers added one in the fourth when Hayley Krockta’s base hit skipped past the left fielder and she came all the way around to make it 4-0. The floodgates opened in the fifth, as Taunton scored six times on four hits and a couple of costly Attleboro miscues in the field. Aldrich and Kelsey White each plated a run with singles and Skyler Rheaume drove in one with a sac fly. Taunton scored five unearned runs off Attleboro starter Lindsey Perry in the game. Lincoln dominated the first five innings, allowing only three base runners, two hits, and one ball out of the infield (a single to right by Rylie Camacho). Lincoln struck out the side in both the third and fourth innings. Aldrich tacked on two more with her second homer of the day in the sixth and White scored on a passed ball to end the scoring. Sharon, 1 @ Foxboro, 11 – FinalFoxboro eighth-grader Emma Callahan continued to shine during his debut season, getting it done both in the circle and at the plate. Callahan allowed just one hit while striking out 12 in the win. At the plate, she helped her own cause with three hits. Sophomore Ally Foulsham made her pitching debut for the Eagles and struck out five. Trinity Payne accounted for the lone Sharon run with a solo homer.

Milford, 9 @ Franklin, 11 – FinalFranklin prevailed with an 11-9 win in a back-and-forth battle with visiting Franklin to present head coach Katie Holbrook with her first career win. In an offensive battle, senior Gabby Colace clubbed out four hits and scored four runs, driving in three runs and junior Julia White added three hits with two RBI. Senior Lauren Cote (two doubles, two RBI) and freshman Carly Johnson-Pellegri (two doubles, two runs) each added two hits in the win. Milford’s Carly Ferreira went 4-for-5 with a home run, a double, three runs, and RBI, Elise Fauerbach went 5-for-5 with two runs, and freshman Maddie Burns had four hits, two RBI, and a run scored.

Mansfield, 0 @ King Philip, 17 – Final (5 inn.) – King Philip’s offense continued its hot start to the season, this time putting up 17 runs at PAL in a win over visiting Mansfield. Charlotte Raymond clubbed four doubles for the Warriors, driving in three runs and crossing home three times as well. Sophomore Libby Walsh added three hits, including a double and a triple, while knocking in four runs, and sophomore Sarah Cullen went 3-for-3, reaching a fourth time after being hit by a pitch, and had a home run, a double, and a single with three RBI. Jordan Bennett, who had two doubles at the plate, tossed a five-inning shutout, allowing two hits while striking out six.

Stoughton, 9 @ Canton, 4 – FinalStoughton sophomore Kerry Driscoll earned her first career win as the Black Knights earned a season sweep of rival Canton. Driscoll threw four innings with one run allowed on four hits and four strikeouts. Nicole Baker came in for three innings of relief for Stoughton. Offensively, freshman Julie Powers led the charge with three hits, including a double and a triple, with two RBI and two runs scored. Mel Casna and Alyssa Edwards each drove in a pair of runs for Stoughton, Sarah McGrath added two hits, and Sydney Menz and Catherine Leal (RBI) each had a hit in the win. Liz Bickett went 4-for-4 and Ellie Bohane went 2-for-3 with a double for the Bulldogs.

North Attleboro, 15 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – Final (5 inn.)Kelly Colleran earned her career win, allowing only one hit and striking out eight Tigers over five innings. She also continued her hot start at the plate, racking up three hits and driving in three. She now has 10 hits in the first three games of her career. Belle Clarkin had two hits and also drove in three for North, while Emily Nardelli had two hits and three runs scored. Mandi Hanewich scored three times and Ally Levine hit a homer and drove in a pair. Caitlin Miller had a hit and scored a run for OA while Emma Varella had three strikeouts in the circle.

Taunton, 0 @ Attleboro, 5 – FinalAttleboro completed the series sweep of the Tigers, this time taking a 5-0 decision. All three singles players won in straight sets for the Bombardiers with Ethan Johnson winning 6-4, 6-3 at first singles, Evan Sousa winning 6-2, 6-2 at second singles, and Matt Lortos taking a 6-3, 6-2 decision at third singles. The team of Alejandro Jimenez and Kevin Rebelo prevailed 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 at first doubles while Malachi Jefferson and Alex Suarez didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 victory at second doubles.

Stoughton, 1 @ Canton, 4 – FinalWaseem Sablon won in straight sets at first singles for Stoughton but Canton took the points in the other four matches to get the victory. Sablon won 6-0, 6-3 at first singles for the Black Knights while Max Kupferman earned a 6-0, 6-1 win at second singles for Canton, and Minh Duong grabbed a 6-2, 6-2 win at third singles for the Bulldogs. The team of Ethan Nguyen and Jalen Townsend secured a 6-0, 6-2 win at first doubles while Elias Jabbour and Charlie Doody picked up a 6-3, 6-1 win at second doubles.

The team of freshmen Matthew Lally and Alex Budovaloev earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at first doubles while juniors Mitch Weiss and Deyan Kassev teamed up for a 6-0, 6-0 win at second doubles.

Milford, 0 @ Franklin, 5 – FinalFranklin defended its home court, taking care of business with a clean sweep of visiting Milford. Both Liam Marr (first singles) and Vayshnav Malhotra (second singles) won 6-0, 6-0 while Drew Mahoney earned a 6-1, 6-0 victory at third singles. The first doubles team of Anish Gundimeda and Sameen Shaik took home a 6-2, 6-0 win while Thomas Broyles and Jay Gorgas won at second doubles with a score of 6-0, 6-0.

Mansfield, 5 @ King Philip, 0 – FinalMansfield went on the road and won all five matches in straight sets to sweep the series against King Philip. Kailash Elumelai earned a 6-0, 6-2 win at first singles, Dheeraj Valluru took a 6-1, 6-4 decision at second singles, and Benson Delaney didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at third singles. The team of seniors Kai Schirmacher and Nikhil Lanikpalle secured a 6-0, 6-1 win at first doubles while the team of junior Jonah Fine and senior Adam Elsner picked up a 6-1, 6-2 win at second doubles.

North Attleboro, 5 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – FinalNorth Attleboro made it three straight wins to start the season, taking another 5-0 decision over Oliver Ames. Jonah Manso (first singles) and the team of Brody Carter and Niteesh Saravanan (second doubles) both won by the score of 6-0, 6-0 for the Rocketeers. Sam Gallagher added a 6-2, 6-1 win at second singles, Will Folan picked up a 6-1, 6-2 win at third singles, and the team of Connor Willis and Sayf Siddiq earned a 6-1, 6-1 decision at first doubles.

Attleboro, 4 @ Taunton, 1 – FinalAttleboro won a pair of matches in both singles and doubles action to get their second straight win over the Tigers. First singles Ella Lynch-Bartek (6-3, 6-4) and second singles Lauren Anthony (6-1, 6-1) each won in straight sets for the Bombardiers. The first doubles team of Rachel Rainey and Tina Lam won 7-5, 1-6, 10-8 while the pairing of freshmen Maddie Fulscado and Kyra Johnson picked up a 7-5, 6-1 win at second doubles. Taunton’s Cayeesha Charles won 6-0, 6-3 at third singles.

Canton, 2 @ Stoughton, 3 – FinalA day after suffering a loss to Canton on the road, Stoughton flipped the script and earned a 3-2 win at home over the Bulldogs. Allie Lada emerged with a three-set win at second singles (6-0, 3-6, 6-4) to secure the winning point for the Black Knights. Lena Allie added a 6-3, 6-2 win at third singles, and the team of Nadia Prokopiuk and Stefani Reznikow picked up a 6-2, 6-1 win at second doubles. Canton’s Rachel Kupferman won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles while Lily Hazam and Olivia Durham teamed up for a 6-0, 6-0 win at first doubles.

Foxboro, 3 @ Sharon, 2 – Final For the second straight day, Foxboro won at all three singles matches to get a victory over Sharon. Freshman Athena Li won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles, Pam Nelson earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at second singles, and Sarah Prag once again won a close set at third singles, this time 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 to help the Warriors earn the victory. The team of Anjali Jha and Julia Zevelinsky emerged with a 7-6 (7-3), 1-6, 6-1 win at first doubles while Alice Zaniewski and Sophia Oh picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win at second doubles.

Franklin, 5 @ Milford, 0 – FinalFranklin won its second straight match, this time going on the road to Milford and getting a sweep. Junior Vedika Vinayek picked up a 6-2, 6-0 win at first singles, freshman Hailey Morin earned a 6-0, 6-3 win at second singles, and junior Sarah Schiavo was victorious at third singles with a score of 6-0, 6-0. The team of sophomores Kelsey Maguire and Allison Bagley prevailed at first doubles 5-7, 6-4, 10-7 while the pairing of sophomores Lexi Masters and Tanvi Shah won 6-0, 6-2 at second doubles.

Oliver Ames, 2 @ North Attleboro, 3 – FinalNorth Attleboro won all three singles matches to defend home court, earning a second straight win over Oliver Ames. Junior Charlotte Moynihan prevailed in a tight battle at first singles, 7-6 (7-1), 7-6 (7-3), senior Haley Strom earned a 6-0, 3-6, 6-0 win at second singles, and freshman Lauren Hunt won 6-2, 6-4 at third singles. Oliver Ames’ Kate McLaughlin and Grace Houser picked up a 6-4, 6-4 win at first doubles while Morgan Vasiliou and Caroline Peper secured a 6-2, 6-0 win at second doubles.

Stoughton, 62 @ Canton, 74 – FinalCanton’s Maddie Rousseau won four events and broke her school record for the second straight meet. Rousseau set a new Bulldog record in the 100M hurdles, clocking in at 14.9. She also placed first in the 200M (26.2), the triple jump (31’0.5″), and the high jump (4’10”). Kiara Cerruti set a pair of new PRs in the win, taking first in the 1 Mile (5:46.9) and second in the 800M (2:36.2).

Sharon, 0 @ Attleboro, 5 – FinalAttleboro built a 4-0 advantage at halftime and never looked back in a win over the visiting Eagles. Anna Beck led the offensive charge, netting three goals while Amanda Burns and Genevieve Takian each found the back of the net once for the Bombardiers.

Canton, 3 @ Taunton, 2 – FinalTaunton took a 1-0 lead into half and had a 2-1 lead in the second half but Canton scored two straight goals to grab two points on the road. Caitlin Connors gave the Tigers the lead on an assist from Rosemary McGrath. After Canton tied it, Alana Tavares put Taunton back in front on an assist from Hannah Blackwell. Emma Sheehan had 10 saves in net for Taunton.

Foxboro, 1 @ Franklin, 1 – FinalFranklin’s Ashley Reutlinger scored at 1:11 of the second half to help the Panthers earn a tie against Foxboro. Reutlinger’s goal was assisted by Regan Paterson. Christina Luccini made 10 saves in net and Marissa Canesi had a strong game defensively for the Panthers.

North Attleboro, 1 @ King Philip, 7 – FinalKing Philip’s Claire Lawler and Alli Meehan each had three points as the Warriors rolled to a big win at home. Meehan scored a hat trick while Lawler scored once and had two assists. Kate Lindmark also had multiple points, notching two assists while Meghan MacDonald (assist), Dana Truini (assist), and Nicole Connor (goal) each had one point.

Ana Leonardo paced the offense with 15 assists and four kills, Amanda Kadeseveski had five blocks, four kills, and two aces, and Chelsea Calcagni had 10 kills, six aces, three digs, and a block for the Bombardiers.

Canton, 3 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalCanton went on the road and earned a 3-0 sweep (25-14, 25-23, 25-16) over host Taunton. For Canton, Taylor Harris had 11 kills, two aces, and 12 digs, Erin Devine added six kills and three blocks, Nicole Brown had 14 assists, 11 digs and five kills, and Megan McDonough held the defense together and tallied 20 digs. For Taunton, Kamila Cuevas had a strong game at the net with nine kills and Hailey Sullivan made her presence felt in the back row, with 26 passes and six digs.

Foxboro, 0 @ Franklin, 3 – FinalFranklin improved to 10-0 overall this season with a 3-0 win over Foxboro (25-12, 25-13, 25-16). Ellie Wisniewski (five aces) and Peyton Arone (two aces) paced the offense with seven kills apiece, Riley Marino had 13 digs, and Lauren McGrath continued to have a strong season with 27 assists.

North Attleboro, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – FinalKing Philip defended home court with a 3-0 win (25-23, 25-12, 25-21) over visiting North Attleboro. The Warriors were led by the strong attacking trio of Nicole Coughlan (11 kills, 11 service points), Catherine Waldeck (eight kills, three blocks), and Kristen Masse (five kills).

Milford, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – FinalOliver Ames fended off visiting Milford to earn a 3-0 sweep (25-16, 25-15, 25-23). Jordan Bosse had a strong game for the Tigers, recording 13 kills, 10 digs, and two aces. Sadie Homer added 28 digs and Allie Kemp finished with 25 assists for the Tigers.

Stoughton, 3 @ Mansfield, 1 – FinalStoughton picked up its seventh win of the season, earning a 3-1 (25-20, 25-15, 24-26, 25-16) over Mansfield. Molly Turner led the way for the Black Knights, recording 21 service points including eight aces, 13 kills and 18 digs. Hanna Holden and Mia Bennett were strong on defense, combining for 42 digs in the win. For Mansfield, Greenly Kelly had 11 kills and eight service points while Katie Dardinski and Abby Sullivan each had eight service points.

Golf
Attleboro, 172 @ Mansfield, 158 – FinalMansfield sophomore Ava Haggis was the match medalist, shooting a 38 to pace the Hornets to a win at Norton Country Club. Sophomores Nate Morreale, Ryan Dow, and Jason See each shot a 40 for the Hornets. Attleboro’s Ethan Johnson had a team-low round of 40 while Ben Wood carded a 42.

Canton, 161 @ Sharon, 153 – FinalSharon senior Corey Carter and sophomore Ethan Skelly each shot 2-under par to pace the Eagles to a key division win over Canton. Carter and Skelly each shot 34, senior Max Brody carded a 41 and senior Sam Fergenbaum finished at 44. Canton’s Chris Lavoie had a team-low round of 38, Tommy Dimock and Mike Leonetti each shot 40, and Ryan Nolte added a round of 43 for the Bulldogs.

Taunton, 189 @ Franklin, 167 – FinalMatt D’Errico earned match medalist honors as the Panthers notched a win at Franklin Country Club. D’Errico shot a round of 40 to pace the Panthers while Gerard Collins chipped in with a 42 for Franklin.

North Attleboro, 161 @ Oliver Ames, 150 – FinalOliver Ames defended its home course with a win over visiting North Attleboro. Nolan Donze and Thomas Walsh shared team medalist honors, each finishing with a round of 37 to lead the Tigers. Steve Heino and Ryan Bock each shot 38 in OA’s win. Matt Wanless earned match medalist honors, leading the Rocketeers with a 35.

Girls Cross Country
Taunton, 35 @ Franklin, 20 – FinalFranklin senior Julia Fenerty earned her first career cross country win and the Panthers swept the top three spots in a win over Taunton. Fenerty crossed in 19:21 while Kat Walbert and Sydney Hawkins took second and third, respectively, for the Panthers. Taunton’s Kailey Melito-Santos was the top finisher for the Tigers, taking fourth overall.
