Three Hockomock swimmers walked away with two first place finishes over the weekend at the MIAA South sectional meets. Franklin sophomore Zack Pecora along with Sharon’s Feining Huang and Leo Tran all took home a pair of wins while Sharon’s Cora Shea won one sectional title race.

In the girls meet on Friday, Sharon took fourth place as a team with 141 points. Shea was the winner in the 200 IM and added a second place finish in the 500 free while Huang won both the 100 fly and 100 backstroke. The Eagles also added key points in the 200 free relay as Huang and Shea were joined by Wilma Zeng and Daisy Ryu and took second. Franklin also had a top 10 finish as a team with 113, taking eighth overall. The 400 free relay team of Sasha Baghdasaryan, Ava Pecora, Molly McKinnon, Elyse Ferreira secured fourth overall to highlight the Panthers’ performance.

A day later, Tran touched the wall first in the 200 free and the 100 free while Pecora won the 200 IM and the 500 free. Milford had the top team finish, taking 10th overall. Ethan Fiedler took seventh in the 100 back, Ishmael Da Silva was ninth in the 100 fly and 11th in the 200 IM, and both were a part of Milford’s 200 IM relay (with Alexander Kerr and Lucca Ramos) that finished fifth, and the Hawks’ 200 free relay (with Ramos and Eli DeBarros) which finished sixth.
