Girls Soccer
North Attleboro, 4 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final – It took over to the final 20 minutes of the second half but the Rocketeers were able to finally breakthrough to get the win. Kenzie Rosenberg broke the tie in the 60th minute off an assist from Aine Mendonca. Ashlyn Gaulin doubled the lead off an assist from Emme Gaulin. Mendonca netted an Olimpico – a goal straight off a corner – to make it 3-0 before Leah Jette capped the scoring off an assist from Rosenberg. Nina Beauvais recorded the shutout for North.

Foxboro, 3 vs. Norton, 2 – Final

King Philip, 3 vs. Westwood, 0 – Final – King Philip got the sweep at home, 25-17, 25-17, 25-20. Sydney Phillips led the Warriors with 13 kills and 20 service points, Carly Adams had 20 service points and Kat Kametz added 17 service points for the Warriors.

Taunton @ Coyle & Cassidy, 6:00

Field Hockey
Foxboro, 3 vs. Hopkinton, 1 – Final

King Philip, 0 @ Westwood, 0 – Final – The Warriors bombarded Westwood with 15 shots, allowing the hosts to get just one shot on net, but couldn’t breakthrough in a scoreless draw.

Taunton vs. New Bedford, 4:00

Golf
Foxboro, 181 @ Stoughton, 185 – Final

North Attleboro, 203 @ Milford, 207 – Final – The teams were tied through four cards but the Rocketeers picked up the win – and clinched the Davenport division outright – on the fifth card. Milford’s Ryan Tomaso and Anthony Arcudi and North Attleboro’s Robbie Congdon split match medalist honors with a 38.

Canton, 2 vs. Marshfield, 2 – Final – Paul Corcoran scored in the first half and Sam Papakonstantino netted a goal in the second half as the Bulldogs grabbed a point.

Foxboro, 2 vs. Milton, 0 – Final – Shane VandenBoom opened the scoring in the first half for the Warriors off an assist from Anthony Barreira. Barreira then doubled the lead with a second half goal.

Franklin, 0 vs. Xaverian, 1 – Final

Sharon, 1 vs. Norwood, 0 – Final

Taunton, 3 @ Coyle & Cassidy, 1 – Final

Girls Soccer
Sharon, 5 vs. Norwood, 2 – Final – Alex Rabb scored a hat trick to lead the way for the Eagles, while Ally Steinberg and Bridget McManus also scored goals for Sharon. Ally Filipkowksi recorded three assists in the win.

Taunton, 0 @ Coyle & Cassidy, 2 – Final

Field Hockey
Franklin, 1 @ Chelmsford, 2 – Final – Franklin sophomore Cassi Ronan had the lone goal off a rebound for the Panthers.

North Attleboro, 0 @ King Philip, 5 – Final – Alli Meehan netted a hat trick to lead the Warriors to a non-league win over North Attleboro.

Saturday’s Schedule & Scoreboard – 10/08/16

Football
North Attleboro, 41 @ Sharon, 0 – Final – North Attleboro scored on all six of their drives to score a big 41-0 win on the road at Sharon. Nick Rajotte capped each of the first three drives (64, 72 and 85 yards respectively) with touchdowns of nine, five and four plays. Big Red converted a fourth down with Kyle McCarthy hitting Bobby Mylod for a 2 yard touchdown in the second quarter. Chad Peterson linked up with Mylod for a 5 yard score in the third quarter and Nathan Pearce scored on a six yard run in the fourth quarter.

North improves to 4-1 overall and 3-0 in Davenport division play. The Rocketeers will have a chance to clinch at least a share of the division title next week when they travel to Canton.

“We talk about it with the guys,” North Attleboro head coach Don Johnson said about the chance to clinch. “If they took care of business today, next week they are playing for a share of the championship. That’s a motivating factor for sure for today’s game.”
