#13 Sharon, 11 @ #4 Lexington, 19 – FinalEmma Eberhardt closed out her Sharon career with six goals and an assist, finishing with 104 goals on the season alone and 219 for her career. She became the first player in program history to record more than 100 goals in a single season. Jenna Goldstein had a hat trick for the Eagles, while Bridget McManus and Cass Barbera each scored once. Rose Wald made 10 saves in the loss and head coach Shara Ginthwain added that Wald’s passing helped the Eagles get into their transition game. Ginthwain also praised the defensive work of Maxine Gordon and Lili Ross. Eberhardt and McManus combined to win 13 draws for Sharon.

#9 Newton North, 14 @ #8 King Philip, 20 – FinalKing Philip senior Dana Truini stepped up and delivered for the Warriors in their playoff opener, leading the way with a team-high five goals along with one assist in a win over Newton North. Olivia Tormey netted four goals, Jess Sullivan added three goals and two assists, and Caroline Klim and Mackenzie Mazur each scored three times in the win. Caroline Watson made 12 saves in net to earn the win. Allie Wilson added a goal and two assists and Julia Marsden scored once and added one helper. #8 King Philip advances to play at #1 Walpole on Thursday at 4:30.

#13 Needham, 3 @ #4 King Philip, 2 – FinalKing Philip picked up wins at first and second singles but the visiting Rockets swept doubles action and added another win from third singles to get the win. Marco DiStefano closed his career with a 6-7, 7-6 (9-7), 12-10 win at first singles while Nick Putney picked up a 6-2, 4-6, 10-7 win at second singles.

#12 Wellesley, 5 @ #5 Sharon, 0 – Final

#9 Franklin, 3 @ #8 Mansfield, 2 – FinalFranklin sophomore Liam Marr earned one of the biggest wins of his career, knocking off league MVP Luke Nickerson at first singles to help the Panthers earn the win. Marr battled to a 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 win at first singles. Rohan Herur added a 6-2, 6-3 win at second singles, and the team of Saketh Saripalli and Vayshnav Malhotra picked up a 6-3, 7-5 win at first doubles.

#10 BC High, 3 @ #7 North Attleboro, 2 – FinalBC High grabbed two wins in doubles action and one more at first singles to sneak by North Attleboro in the opening round of the playoffs. North Attleboro junior Alex Pfeffer won 4-1 (default) at second singles while sophomore Sam Gallagher earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at third singles.

#15 Taunton, 1 @ #2 Hingham, 4 – FinalTaunton senior Brett Beaulieu closed his career with a come-from-behind 3-6, 7-5, 10-4 win at first singles.

#12 Holliston, 1 @ #5 Foxboro, 4 – FinalFoxboro swept singles action and added one more win from doubles play to beat Holliston. Pam Nelson won 6-1, 6-1 at first singles, Sarah Prag picked up a 6-2, 6-1 win at second singles, and Julia Muise earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at third singles. The team of Kendall Milender and Paige Krockta added a fourth point with a 7-6 (7-0), 6-4 win at first doubles. #5 Foxboro will travel to #4 Dover Sherborn on Friday at 4:00.

#10 Canton, 4 @ #7 Duxbury, 1 – FinalCanton went on the road and earned a win over Duxbury, sweeping singles action in the process. Rachel Kupferman (first singles), Natalie Keppler (second singles) and Sarah Hernandez (third singles) each picked up a win as well as the team of Lily Hazam and Kiara Cerruti (second doubles). #10 Canton will travel to #2 Old Rochester on Thursday at 2:30.

Boys Volleyball
Central
#7 St. John’s (Shrewsbury), 0 @ #2 Milford, 3 – FinalMilford earned its second straight postseason sweep, taking down St. John’s Shrewsbury 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 27-25). Joao Boaventura (17 digs) and Tiago Filadelfo (15 digs) each had 14 kills to pace the offense while Zach Browne chipped in with nine kills. Josh Orellana dished out 48 assists for the Hawks, who will host #6 Natick on Friday night at 7:00.
