King Philip, 41 @ Randolph, 69 – Final

Franklin, 64 @ Framingham, 45 – Final – Franklin limited the hosts to just six points in the second quarter, building a double-digit advantage it never relinquished to get the win. Sophomore Henry Digiorgio scored half of his 18 points in the third and earned tournament MVP honors. Senior Sean Vinson scored a career-high 22 points to earn all tournament team honors for the Panthers. Sophomore Sean O’Leary added 13 points in the win. Franklin hit 14 two-point field goals between the second and third quarters to pull away from the Flyers.

Oliver Ames, 57 vs. Classical, 67 – Final

Girls Basketball
Attleboro, 75 vs. Dighton-Rehoboth, 45 – Final – Meghan Gordon scored a season-high 28 points to power Attleboro a big non-league victory. Gordon scored 19 of her points in the opening half, as Attleboro built a 36-28 lead at the breal. Attleboro held the Falcons to just six points in the third quarter and extended the lead to 15, before turning the game into a blowout by scoring 26 points in the fourth. Lillian Froio scored 12 points, including eight in the second half, and Lindsey Perry and Lily Routhier each scored 10 points. All three scored four points in the final eight minutes, and Gordon added six. Kayla Goldrick also added four of her eight points in the fourth, as the Bombardiers sealed a big win to close out the year.

Stoughton, 23 vs. Bedford, 45 – Final

Canton, 57 @ Hingham, 52 – Final – Canton rode the scoring of its three stars to earn a split in this week’s home-and-home series against fellow Div. 2 tournament contender Hingham. Fay Gallery scored a game-high 25 points (and five steals), Kiara Cerruti added 19, and Sydney Gallery had 11 (and 12 rebounds) to account for all but two of the Bulldogs’ 57 points on Thursday. After struggling early in Tuesday’s game and allowing Hingham to get a big lead, Canton came out strong on the road, winning the first quarter 16-7, behind nine from Fay Gallery. The Harborwomen bounced back in the second, taking it 18-9, to send the game into halftime tied. Canton was able to limit Hingham to eight points in the third to grab a three-point lead. Cerruti took over in the fourth, scoring 13 points, as Canton held on for the win. Erin Beatty made an impact on the glass in the first meeting and she followed it up by grabbing 14 rebounds in her first start of the season. Marissa Staffiere chipped in with five rebounds, three assists, and a pair of steals.

Boys Basketball
Franklin, 53 vs. Worcester North, 42 – Final – Franklin held just a one-possession lead with just under five minutes to go in the game but limited Worcester North to just two points over the final 4:47, finishing the contest on a 10-2 run to get the win. The Panthers trailed after one (12-9) but took a one-point lead (20-19) into halftime, and a four-point lead (37-33) into the final quarter. Sophomore Henry Digiorgio scored six of his game-high 22 points in the final quarter and senior Sean Vinson added seven of his 12 points in the fourth. Franklin hit 12 three-pointers on the day, with Digiorgio sinking five, Vinson and Andrew O’Neill each with two, and Ben Harvey, Justin Allen, and Sean O’Leary all adding one.

Mansfield, 72 @ North Attleboro, 42 – Final – Click here for a recap and photo gallery of this game.

Sharon, 65 vs. Waltham, 50 – Final – Sharon tightened it up defensively in the fourth and turned it on offensively in the same frame to pull away from Waltham to claim the Clocker Classic Championship. The Eagles were locked in a tight battle with Waltham, leading slightly after one (15-12) and three (40-38), and tied at halftime (25-25). Sophomore Nate Katznelson delivered a career-high 21 points, scoring 14 in the second half. Sophomore Jacob McLaughlin added a career-high 14 points, half coming in the third quarter, and senior Matt Baur finished strong with 11 of his 16 points coming in Sharon’s decisive 25-point fourth quarter.

Girls Basketball
King Philip, 51 vs. Chicopee, 57 – Final – KP fell behind by eight points after the first quarter and couldn’t catch Chicopee Comp to lose for the first time this season. The Warriors struggled to contain Chicopee’s top scorers Yamirelis Natos (19 points) and Nicole Rodriguez (game-high 20 points, including four threes). After Chicopee took the first 18-10, KP rallied to cut the lead in half by the break. In the third quarter, Chicopee extended the lead back to seven. The fourth quarter was a shootout, as KP scored 19 points in an attempt to come from behind, but Rodriguez scored nine of Chicopee’s 18 to hold off the Warriors. Emily Sawyer scored a team-high 17 points, including nine in the second quarter. Liv Lafond added 15, 12 of them coming in the second half, and Jackie Bonner scored 10, knocking down three from the outside. The trio combined for 17 of KP’s 19 points during the fourth quarter.

North Attleboro, 42 vs. Durfee, 44 – Final – Durfee grabbed an offensive rebound and scored as time expired to pull out the win in the final of Taunton’s holiday tournament. Even with leading scorer Summer Doherty limited with two early fouls, North went into halftime down just 22-20. The Rocketeers never trailed by more than five points after the break. Sam Sweeney knocked down a big three with 1:15 left to play that cut the Durfee lead down to two. After a big defensive stop, Katie Corsetti was fouled going to the basket and hit both free throws to tie the game. Ava McKeon and Taylor McMath both led the Rocketeers with eight points apiece, and McMath also added eight offensive rebounds. Sweeney and Doherty each finished with seven points and Doherty was named to the all-tournament team.

Taunton, 34 vs. Holliston, 37 – Final – After scoring only eight points in the opening half, Taunton rallied after halftime to close the gap and nearly pull off a come from behind win in the consolation round of its holiday tournament. Jillian Doherty scored four of Taunton’s eight points before the break. The Tigers then came out in the third quarter and scored 15 as a team, adding 11 more in the fourth. A day after scoring 28 against Durfee, Kameron St. Pierre took a little while to get going against the Panthers but exploded for 11 of her team-high 13 points in the second half to help with the comeback. Cali Melo added all nine of her points in the second half and Lexi Haywood knocked down a big three.

Foxboro, 10 @ Blue Hills, 3 – Final – Click here for a Photo Gallery from this game. – Foxboro senior Jack Watts had a day to remember, scoring a hat trick and recorded six assists to pace the Warriors to a big win over Blue Hills. Freshman Brett Axon also scored three goals in the win.

Canton, 1 @ Winchester, 5 – Final

Franklin, 2 @ Dedham, 1 – Final (OT) – Freshman Julia Flynn scored the game-winning goal in overtime to help the Panthers grab their third win of the season. Sophomore Lyndsey Dennett recorded the assist on the game-winner, setting up Flynn for her goal. Junior Dana Stott scored the other goal for Franklin while Izzy Brown had a strong game in net.

Attleboro vs. Bishop Feehan – Postponed to TBD.

Canton, 46 @ Randolph, 56 – Final

King Philip, 66 vs. New Bedford, 63 – Final – King Philip junior Tommy Martorano hit six fourth quarter free throws to cap off a career-best 36-point performance to lead the Warriors to a win over New Bedford in Randolph’s Blue Devil Holiday Tournament. Without leading scorers Will Laplante and Danny Clancy in the lineup, Martorano took advantage of his opportunity. He came out of the gates flying with 10 point sin the opening quarter and had 23 by halftime as KP established a 46-28 lead by the break. New Bedford cut into the lead in the third and then came out flying in the fourth, getting it down to one-possession a handful of times in the final minutes but Martorano kept the Warriors ahead with shots from the line. Senior Braeden Sottile added 10 points for KP, who will take on host Randolph in the tournament final on Thursday at 6:30.

Milford vs. Bethany Christian – Postponed to TBD.

Oliver Ames, 61 vs. Dighton-Rehoboth, 39 – Final – Oliver Ames exploded for 26 points in the third quarter, turning a close game at halftime (25-19) into a comfortable victory over Dighton-Rehoboth in the opening round of the Muscato Holiday Tournament. MJ Jean-Baptiste scored eight of his career-high 14 points in the big third quarter for the Tigers, who had six players contribute to the 26-point frame. Zach Tagliamonte added four of his 11 points in the frame and Drew Baxter scored five of his nine.

Sharon, 68 vs. Fitchburg, 64 – Final (OT) – Sharon saw its eight-point lead at the start of the fourth quarter disappear over the final eight minutes but senior John Baez went 6-for-6 at the line in the overtime period to help the Eagles outlast Fitchburg. Baez finished with a career-high 16 points, going 8-for-8 from the line and hitting four shots from the field. Sharon’s bench had a big showing, helping the Eagles rally from a first half deficit. Junior Tyler Goodman led the charge off the bench with 10 points, Jacob McLaughlin added eight points, Nate Katznelson chipped in with six points and five boards, and Nate Yaffe had a key three in the first half. Sharon will take on Waltham on Wednesday night at 7:00 in the finals of the Ashland Clocker Classic.

Girls Basketball
Attleboro, 41 vs. Bishop Feehan, 78 – Final – Click here for a Photo Gallery from this game. Attleboro faced it third state title contender in its opening five games and the Bombardiers struggled to contain Feehan’s balanced offensive attack. Eight different players scored for the Shamrocks, including three in double digits, and Feehan 20 or more points in each of the first three quarters to pick up the win. Meghan Gordon led the Bombardiers with 15, including seven in the fourth quarter, and Lily Routhier added nine. Lindsey Perry scored all seven of her points in the second half, as Attleboro scored in double digits as a team in three of the four quarters, despite Feehan’s tough pressure defense.

Foxboro, 53 @ Needham, 47 – Final – Hannah Blake led all scorers with 21 points to help the Warriors win a third straight game and pick up an impressive non-league road victory. Freshman Kailey Sullivan hit double digits for the third straight game, adding 14 in the win.

Mansfield, 42 vs. Westwood, 43 – Final – Despite having junior Abby Wager leave with an injury midway through the third quarter, Mansfield battled Westwood to the final minutes in a game that was back-and-forth throughout. The Hornets had a one-point lead after one, but the Wolverines tied the game at halftime. Westwood won the third quarter 10-9, and held onto that advantage to the end. Kara Santos was the top scorer for the Hornets with seven points, including seven in the first half. Wager scored nine before her injury and Rose Maher and Bridget Hanley each had five. Mansfield will face Fontbonne in the consolation round of the Hearts for Hope Tournament on Thursday at 5:30.

Oliver Ames, 61 vs. Walpole, 37 – Final – Oliver Ames built a double-digit lead by halftime and went on to turn it into a blowout win over Walpole. The Tigers, limited to just seven players in uniform, played with a lot of discipline to only have two fouls in the first. Senior Caroline Peper led the way with 19 points, four blocks, and four steals while Jasmyn Cooper added 16 points (8-for-8 free throw) and 12 rebounds in the win.

Sharon @ East Bridgewater – Postponed to TBD.

Taunton, 53 vs. Durfee, 59 – Final – Kameron St. Pierre scored a game-high 28 points, but it wasn’t enough for the Tigers in the first round of their holiday tournament. Taunton went into the break down by just four, 31-27, after St. Pierre beat the buzzer with a near half-court three. She finished the first half with 18 of her team’s 27 points. St. Pierre added 10 more in the second half, including six from the line. Braeley MacDonald chipped in with a pair of threes and eight points in the second half. Durfee’s MacKenzie Carreiro scored 16 of her team-high 23 in the second half to help the Hilltoppers hold on and advance to face North Attleboro in Wednesday’s final. Taunton will face Holliston in the consolation round.

North Attleboro, 41 vs. Holliston, 38 – Final – The Rocketeers locked down on defense, using an effective 1-2-2 press to keep Holliston’s bigs from getting touches, and earned a win in the first round of the Taunton holiday tournament. North led 16-5 after one quarter, went into halftime up by nine and was able to hold off the Panthers in the second half to reach the final. Summer Doherty gave North an offensive spark, scoring 10 of her 19 points in the opening half. Taylor McMath added eight points for the Rocketeers, who missed some chances to put the game away at the line but continued to grind on defense to keep the lead. North will face Durfee in the final on Wednesday at 7:00.

Milford, 40 vs. Norwell, 60 – Final

Canton, 42 vs. Hingham, 51 – Final – Click here for a Photo Gallery from this game. The Bulldogs got off to a tough start to the game, falling behind 21-8 after one quarter and never fully recovered to lose to a fellow D2 tournament contender. Hingham’s pressure defense caused Canton problems early, but Sydney Gallery knocked down a pair of threes, scoring half of her 12 points in the first. The Bulldogs played better defensively in the second, holding the Harborwomen to just seven points and cutting the lead to single digits at halftime. Erin Beatty provided a spark off the bench, grabbing double digit rebounds and hitting a three in the second. Kiara Cerruti (11 points) scored four and Fay Gallery (12 points) added a three in the second. Cerruti added four more in the third, but Hingham extended its lead by one heading to the fourth. Canton put together a fourth quarter rally that cut the lead to just three (40-37), but the visitors went on a quick 11-2 burst that put the game away. Fay Gallery added a pair of threes in the fourth.

Boys Hockey
Foxboro, 5 vs. Old Rochester, 4 – Final – Tied after each the first (1-1) and second periods (3-3), Foxboro won the third period to beat Old Rochester. Jack Watts factored into each goal for the Warriors, scoring twice and assisting on all three of the others. Matt Grace scored twice, Alex Coviello lit the lamp once, and both Tom Marcucella and Brady Callahan had an assist. Josh Marcoux recorded the win in net.

Taunton, 28 @ North Attleboro, 44 – Final – North Attleboro won five matches by fall, one by tech fall, one by decision, and one by forfeit in a victory over Taunton. Tanner Ferguson (126), Braxton Ferro (132), and Christopher Galligan (138) all earned pins in less than a minute while Griffin Gouck (152) and Austin Dean (195) also win by pin. Jaad Ismail (170) picked up an 18-2 tech fall while heavyweight Keysun Wise took a 9-4 decision. Taunton got wins from Ryan Jones (120, 1:31), Ben Mandeville (145, 3:44), Christian Balmain (160, 6-2), Ethan Harris (182, 11-3), and Peter Ye (220, 12-5).

Taunton, 28 vs. Cumberland, 43 – Final – Ryan Jones (113, 9-1), Christian Balmain (160, 6-3), Ethan Harris (182, 7-2), Avery Justa (195, 0:45), Peter Ye (220, 0:48), and Logan Frank (285, 3:50) each won for Taunton.

North Attleboro, 39 vs. Cumberland, 29 – Final – North Attleboro went 2-0 on the day, adding a win over Cumberland as well. Tanner Ferguson (126, 3:25), Christopher Galligan (138, 4:38), Griffin Gouck (152, 3:03), and Austin Dean (195, 2:35) all earned two pins on the day while Keysun Wise (285, 2:25), and Jaad Ismail (170, 7-5) both went 2-0. Greg Berthiaume (182) added a pinfall win (5:45) for the Rocketeers.

OLiver Ames Tri-Meet @ New Bedford – Oliver Ames picked up two wins on Tuesday, pinning down wins over Plymouth North (58-7) and New Bedford (42-39). Senior captains Giovany Juste (170) and Deric Lipski, Jr. (160) both went 2-0 with two pins while senior John Dobbin (138), junior Kyle Hardie (145), junior Henry Mirrione (152), and junior Jaden Hinton (285) also went 2-0. Against New Bedford, Henry Mirrione’s thrilling come-from-behind pin to win at 152 sparked the rally for the Tigers, who clinched the win over the Whalers when Jaden Hinton pinned his opponent with a quick headlock at heavyweight.

North Attleboro, 2 @ Burrillville (R.I.), 5 – Final

Oliver Ames, 1 vs. Ashland, 5 – Final – Oliver Ames skated even with the visiting Clockers for the first and third periods, but Ashland lit the lamp four times in the middle period to get the win. Sophomore Sean Kearns netted his first career goal for the Tigers while junior Brandon Burke made 38 saves and helped shut down the Clockers on a four-minute power play.

Stoughton, 2 vs. Nashoba, 6 – Final – Sean Farley and Charlie Caputo each scored but the Black Knights fell to Nashoba. Cooper Lehmann earned player of the game honors for Stoughton.

Today’s games are listed below.

Boys Basketball
Franklin, 77 @ New Bedford, 48 – Final – Franklin set the tone early with a 21-point first quarter and then dominated the third quarter, outscoring the Whalers, 22-9, to run away with a big win on the road. Sophomore Sean O’Leary was a big part of both of those quarters, scoring seven in the first and nine in the third, finishing with a team-high 22 points. Sophomore Henry Digiorgio scored all 15 of his points in the first three quarters, senior Sean Vinson added 14 points, and junior Justin Allen chipped in with 10 points.

Mansfield, 86 vs. Cranston West (R.I.), 38 – Final – Seven different Hornets hit from the field in a 31-point first quarter and the hosts never looked back to record their second straight win by 40 or more points. Junior Chris Hill scored a career-high 21 points, hitting nine shots from the field, to lead the Hornets in scoring. Sophomore Trevor Foley added a career-high 15 points and senior Matt Hyland finished with 10 points.

North Attleboro, 43 vs. Bishop Feehan, 48 – Final – Click here for a photo gallery of this game. – North Attleboro trailed by just one at halftime but the Shamrocks limited the hosts to six points in the third quarter to increase a lead it never surrendered. The Rocketeers lead 13-9 after eight minutes but trailed 20-19 at the break. Feehan outscored the Big Red, 14-6, in the third. North had its best offensive quarter of the game in the fourth with 18 points but couldn’t close the gap. Casey Poirier scored a season-high 13 points while Givany Carney added nine and Brody Rosenberg finished with eight for North.

Oliver Ames, 67 vs. Abington, 70 – Final – Oliver Ames built an 11-point lead but Abington rallied throughout the second half and pulled ahead inside the final two minutes to get the win. The game featured a clash between two teams coached by the late Don Byron, who was honored with a pregame ceremony. Byron coached the Green Wave for 12 years including a trip to the TD Garden in his final year. He coached OA for the past 11 years, winning the Davenport division title last year. The Tigers held a 38-27 lead at the break and a 55-50 advantage going into the fourth. Senior Zach Tagliamonte scored a career-high 28 points to pace OA while Jake Grimaldi and Dan Reilly each scored 13 points.

Boys Basketball
Attleboro, 69 @ Durfee, 58 – Final – Attleboro senior Jake Struminski and sophomore Neo Franco each scored seven points in the fourth quarter, with Struminski hitting a clutch three, as the Bombardiers rallied from an early fourth quarter deficit to knock off the Hilltoppers. Attleboro lead after each the first (17-13), second (35-27), and third (46-44) quarters but a strong start to the fourth put the hosts ahead 54-47. The Bombardiers finished the game with a 22-4 run. Struminski had a career-high 16 points, both Evan Houle and Joe Francois-Annevil chipped in with 15 points, and Frano finished with 10 points.

Canton @ Southeastern – Postponed to TBD.

Girls Basketball
Attleboro, 73 vs. Durfee, 45 – Final – Lindsey Perry scored 22 points to lead Attleboro to a big non-league win. She was one of four players that scored in double digits for the Bombardiers, who have won two in row to get back to .500 on the season. Lily Routhier, who transferred from Wheeler School this year, added 12 points and Kayla Goldrick scored 11. Meghan Gordon rounded things out with 10 points. Attleboro had eight players get on the score sheet.

Boys Hockey
North Attleboro, 7 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final – North Attleboro senior Nik Kojoian recorded six points and Nick Longa added four points as the Rocketeers skated past rival Attleboro. Kojian scored a hat trick and added three assists to pace the offense while Longa found the back of the net twice and assisted on two more goals.

Canton, 4 @ Hanover, 2 – Final

King Philip, 1 @ Natick, 2 – Final (OT) – King Philip tied the game with a goal in the second period and owned a heavy advantage in shots but came away without a point after falling to Natick in overtime. Trailing 1-0 after a period, Kevin Birenbaum knotted the score on a power play goal just under five minutes into the second, scoring off assists from Nolan Feyler and Brad Guden. KP had a 37-18 advantage in shots.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Silver Lake, 5 – Final – Junior goaltender Brandon Burke made 26 saves but Oliver Ames fell on the road to Silver Lake.

Stoughton, 0 @ Dartmouth, 6 – Final – Stoughton goalie Chris Andrade turned aside 35 shots in net but the Black Knights suffered a setback at the hands of Dartmouth.

King Philip, 2 @ Franklin, 3 – Final – After trading goals in the first two periods, Franklin scored with just under three minutes to play to give the Panthers a league win over King Philip. Franklin jumped ahead in the first period but KP knotted the score before the buzzer. The Warriors took their first lead but this time it was Franklin who leveled the game just moments later in the second period. Molly Hurley, Lynsey Dennett, and Haley Wernig scored for Franklin while Dennett, Hurley and Dana Stott each had an assist. Izzy Brown had a standout performance in net for Franklin.

Boys Swimming
Attleboro, 106 @ Seekonk, 67 – Final – Attleboro won eight of the 12 events, including four wins from Matt Marcil, Ryan Connors, and Ben Connors, in a big win over Seekonk. Marcil touched first in both the 100 free and 100 back, Ryan Connors won the 100 fly and 200 IM, and Ben Connors was the winner in the 100 breast and 200 free (followed by Andrew Greaves). Those three were joined by Zach Dorrance to win both the 200 medley relay and the 200 free relay. Matt Brewster and Ayden Moore took second and third, respectively, in a photo finish in the 50 free.

Attleboro, 76 @ Seekonk, 99 – Final – Zuri Ferguson was a double winner for Attleboro but the Bombardiers fell in a non-league matchup with Seekonk. Ferguson won both the 200 free and 100 back, Ella Lynch Bartek took first in the 100 free and finished second in the 50 free, Sydney Dorval added a pair of second place finishes in the 200 IM and 100 fly, Caroline Lynch Bartek was second in the 500 free, and Abbi Rodriques took second in the 100 breast.

North Attleboro, 52 @ Attleboro, 64 – Final – Attleboro established an early lead and never let it slip away to knock off rival North Attleboro. Sophomore Neo Franco hit a pair of threes in the first and Evan Houle (17 points) added five to give the hosts a 17-12 lead. The lead grew from there with senior Colin Morais adding seven second quarter points to give the Bombardiers a 29-20 halftime edge. Attleboro, who was without junior forward Trevor White, had its best offensive quarter in the third, scoring 23 points with contributions from Joe Francois-Annevil (seven of his 11 points), Jake Struminski (six of his eight points), and Alvin Harrison (half of his eight points). Brody Rosenberg led the Rocketeers with 15 points while Givany Carney chipped in with 12 points.

Canton, 45 @ Milford, 30 – Final – Canton delivered first year coach Eric MacKinnon his first career win, limiting the Hawks to 12 points in the second half for the win. The Bulldogs built a six-point lead after a quarter and kept the Hawks at a distance the rest of the way. Conor Hunter hit a pair of threes in the second quarter as the visitors carried a 23-18 lead into halftime. Canton had its biggest offensive quarter of the game, nearly doubling their lead going into the final quarter (36-27). Hunter finished with 13 points while Matt Chafin added 12 points in the win.

Foxboro, 26 @ Mansfield, 66 – Final – Click here for a photo gallery of this game. – Mansfield built a double-digit lead in the first quarter and never looked back in a big win over visiting Foxboro. The Hornets were clicking on all cylinders on the offensive end, getting 11 players into the scoring column. Senior Matt Hyland scored a game-high 17 points and grabbed five rebounds while junior Chris had a strong showing with 15 points and seven rebounds. Mansfield helped force 18 turnovers from the Warriors, who couldn’t get it going on offensively. Mansfield led 34-11 at halftime.

Stoughton, 72 @ King Philip, 64 – Final (OT) – King Philip battled back throughout the game, forcing overtime but couldn’t keep pace with the visiting Black Knights in the extra period. Stoughton built a double-digit lead (22-12) after a quarter with six players factoring into the scoring. The Knights kept the lead all the way to the fourth, but King Philip cut into it each quarter. Stoughton took a 38-30 lead into halftime but was held to just six points in the third as KP surged back to make it a one-possession game (44-41). The teams battled back-and-forth in the final quarter before Stoughton’s last second shot was off the mark. In overtime, Connor Andrews (game-high 22 points), Jayden Costa Heyward (12 points), Liam Pearl (nine points) and Cashmere Mathurin (six points) all scored to help the Knights outscore the Warriors, 11-3. Freshman Matt Greenspoon added 10 points in the win. Danny Clancy led King Philip with 16 points while Braeden Sottile added 15 points.

Oliver Ames, 48 @ Franklin 64 – Final – Franklin saw its 22-point halftime lead shrink to single digits going into the fourth quarter, but the Panthers bounced back and closed out strong to get a win over visiting Oliver Ames. Franklin built a 37-15 lead by the break behind a balanced scoring attack and strong defense. Franklin hit half of its 12 three-pointers in the second quarter alone, two apiece from Geino Scaringello and Justin Allen (team-high 12 points) and one each from Andrew O’Neil and Hansy Jacques, to take a commanding lead. OA came roaring back in the third as Zach Tagliamonte scored 10 of his team-high 14 points in the third and Dan Reilly had nine of his 12 points to make it 46-37 going into the fourth. Ben Harvey had half of his eight points in the fourth, Henry Digiorgio scored five of his seven, and Allen added another three to pull away.

Sharon, 71 @ Taunton, 89 – Final – Taunton senior Trent Santos caught fire early and never cooled off, dropping a career-high 41 points to lead the Tigers to a win over visiting Sharon. Santos hit four threes on his way to 20 points in the first quarter as Taunton jumped out ahead 28-12 after a quarter. Faisal Mass (14 points) and Matt Small (nine points) scored six points and five points, respectively, in the second for a 46-25 advantage at the break. Santos picked it back up in the second with 14 points, keeping the hosts ahead throughout. Tyson Carter scored all eight of his points in the third and Troy Santos added all seven of his to give Taunton a 68-47 lead going into the fourth. Sharon junior Matt Baur scored a team-high 26 points, hitting on six three-pointers. Sam Cohen added four threes for 12 points as the Eagles finished with 15 three-pointers made.

Girls Basketball
Attleboro, 41 @ North Attleboro, 30 – Final – Attleboro knocked down its outside shots and played solid defense to pull out a first win for head coach Bri Bracken. The game was tied at 9-9 after one quarter but Attleboro was able to build a six-point lead by halftime and extended it to 11 in the second half. North continues to struggle at times to find consistency on offense, but got eight points from Ava McKeon, who was back after missing a game with injury, and seven points apiece from freshmen Sam Sweeney and Maryellen Charette.

Milford, 17 @ Canton, 71 – Final – Canton got off to a great start and broke the game away in the second quarter to earn its first win of the season. Kiara Cerruti scored 14 of her game-high 18 points in the opening half, including 10 in the second quarter. Fay Gallery scored 17 points and added nine before halftime, as the Bulldogs ran out to a 36-9 lead. Sydney Gallery chipped in with 13 points and Han Hong added nine. Maddalena Mannucci Pacini scored four points for Milford, which also got three points apiece from Jess Douglas, Jill Araujo, and Khatrina Leger.

Mansfield, 43 @ Foxboro, 56 – Final – Foxboro got big nights from a pair of freshmen to earn its second straight win and hand Mansfield its first loss of the season. Kailey Sullivan set a new career-high with 16 points, 11 in the second half, and Ava Hill set a career mark with 14 points, including eight in the fourth quarter. The Warriors broke the game open in the second, extending a one-point lead out to a dozen by halftime. After Foxboro won the third quarter 14-11, Mansfield battled to win a fourth quarter shootout 19-17. Kara Santos was the top scorer for the Hornets with 13 and Abby Wager added 11 points, all in the second half and eight in the fourth quarter alone. Olivia Salisbury had five points, all in the final eight minutes. Foxboro was able to get clutch rebounding from Andrea Slattery and Lauren Miley down the stretch to keep a big lead. Camryn Collins scored nine points and Erin Foley scored eight points to go along with her aggressive defending.

King Philip, 65 @ Stoughton, 41 – Final – Stoughton kept it close in the first half behind a strong defensive effort but the visiting Warriors put together a big run in the third to turn a 6-point lead at half (30-24) into a double-digit advantage (47-30) going into the fourth. Seniors Makaiyah Singleton Rivera and Jess Maddalena combined for 16 points for the Black Knights.

Boys Hockey
Franklin, 6 vs. St. John’s Shrewsbury, 3 – Final – Franklin saw its three-goal lead evaporate in a three-minute span in the second period but the Panthers bounced back with a big third period, scoring three more times to get the win over St. John’s Shrewsbury. Adam Quinn (from Ben Jarosz and Ben Paterson) and Ryan Sicchio (from Logan Marchand) scored for a 2-0 lead at the midway point of the first, and Paterson (from Dylan Marchand and Quinn) scored just over two minutes into the second to make it 3-0. SJS scored three times within the next four minutes to tie the contest 3-3 through two periods. In the third, Quinn got his second of the day (from Paterson and Sicchio) at the midway point of the third and Dom Lampasona (from Anthony Lampasona) added a key insurance goal less than a minute later. Anthony Lampasona tacked on a key empty net goal (margin of victory) in the final seconds on an assist from Christian Shabbick. Cole Porter made 31 saves in net for the Panthers.

King Philip, 1 vs. Medway, 4 – Final

Stoughton, 7 vs. Bellingham, 2 – Final – Stoughton broke into the win column in a big way, knocking off visiting Bellingham, 7-2. Charlie Caputo led the offense with three goals while Colin Alessi added a pair of goals. Brendan Twohig and Aidan Obrock scored a goal each while Anthony Hern recorded the win in net.

Taunton, 4 @ Stoughton, 4 – Final – Taunton’s Conner Goranson scored a pair of third period goals, his second with less than a minute to help the visiting Tigers take a point one the road at Asiaf. Nathan Fernandes and Michael Lucier each had a goal and an assist while Colton Scheralis and Loran Corcoran both chipped in with a pair of assists. Charlie Caputo and Colby Strunk both scored a pair of goals for the Black Knights.

Foxboro Super Quad (Foxboro, Sharon) – Sharon went a perfect 3-0 on the day, picking up wins over Plymouth North (60-38), Boston Latin (53-30), and Plymouth South (44-36). Ashmith Yeruva won all three of his matches at 106, picking up three pinfall wins including one in 40 seconds against Boston Latin. Adam Landstein (120, three pins each less than a minute in), Aaron Cashton (152, two pins), and Cormac Horlbogen (182, three pins) all went 3-0 as well for the Eagles.

Braintree Quad (Mansfield), 10:00

Milford Tournament (King Philip, Milford) – Milford took first place with eight individual champions while King Philip finished third after sending four grapplers to the finals. The Hawks soared to a first place finish with 269.5 points, Ashland took second with 177, and KP finished third at 139.5. Aidan Baum (106), Michael Boulanger (113), Robert Lyons (120), Joseph Testa (132), Paul Hough (152), Dan Alves (160), Cameron Phillips (195)m and Hampton Kaye-kuter (220) all won for the Hawks while William Conniff (170) was the lone champion for the Warriors.

Sandwich Early Bird Invitational (Taunton) – Taunton continued its strong start to the season by cruising to a first place finish at the Sandwich Early Bird, recording 243 points with six individual winners and two more finalists. Brandon Mendes took first in the 120 bracket, winning all four matches by pinfall, taking out the top three seeds along the way. After a bye in the first round, Xavier Sandoval had back-to-back pins before winning the 132 final with a 6-0 decision. Ben Mandeville had four pinfall wins to claim the 145 bracket, top-seed Christian Balmain took two matches by pinfall then two more by decision to win at 160, Ethan Harris won two matches to secure the 182 title, and Peter Ye beat all three of his opponents by pin for the 195 title. Michael Leskoski (106) and Anthony Vieira (126) each took second for the Tigers.

Oliver Ames, 46 @ Canton, 45 – Final – Oliver Ames junior Nick Asiaf scored all six of his points in the fourth quarter, including a layup with 1:31 to play to proved to be the winning basket for the visitors, giving Oliver Vil his first win with OA. Asiaf’s layup put OA up 46-42 at the time but a steal from Matt Chafin led to a free throw from Lanse Dorcelus. Dorcelus missed his second free throw but tracked down the rebound and sliced through the defense for two, making it 46-45 with 45 seconds to play. Each team missed the front end of a 1-and-1, and then the Tigers were able to get one final stop at the buzzer to secure the win. Senior Jake Grimaldi scored a team-high 12 points while Zach Tagliamonte and Dan Reilly also had six points. Dorcelus had a game-high 16 points and Nate Mei added 14 points for the Bulldogs.

Stoughton, 59 @ Foxboro, 67 – Final (2OT) – Foxboro senior Dylan Gordon scored nine points in the fourth quarter and added 10 more in the two overtime periods to help the Warriors outlast visiting Stoughton. The Black Knights led by 10 late in the third quarter and took a 38-31 lead into the fourth. With the game tied at 44-44, junior Andrew Finn hit a pair of free throws to put the hosts ahead 46-44 but Stoughton sophomore Liam Pearl hit two free throws of his own with 27.5 seconds left to tie it and send it to overtime. Gordon (25 points) split a pair of defenders on a take to the basket with just under 40 seconds to go but Pearl launched a three as time expired to send it to a second overtime. Sam Golub (12 points) hit his second three of the game to put the Warriors ahead and a steal from Cam Barreira led to a layup for Gordon to make it 61-56 and the Warriors never looked back. Alex Penders added 14 points for the Warriors. Connor Andrews led the visitors with 21 points, including 11 in the third quarter, Cashmere Mathurin added 14 points, and Pearl finished with 11 points.

King Philip, 71 @ Taunton, 82 – Final – Taunton senior Trent Santos scored a team-high 22 points while classmates Tristan Herry and Faisal Mass each scored 18 to help the Tigers outscore the visiting Warriors. Santos hit three three-pointers in the opening half, dropping 15 of his 22 points to help Taunton stake a 44-43 edge at the break. Herry added half of his points in the second half and Jordan Costa had six of his eight as Taunton pulled away down the stretch. King Philip junior Will Laplante split his 26 points evenly between the two halves while Danny Clancy added 13 points and Braeden Sottile chipped in with 10 points.

Mansfield, 65 @ Milford, 34 – Final – Mansfield limited the hosts to single digits in each of the first three quarters, including just three in the second on its way to building a 30-11 halftime lead. The Hornets capped it with a 21-point fourth quarter to ice the win. Matt Hyland led the way with 15 points hitting two of the Hornets’ seven three pointers. Chris Hill added 10 points while both Anthony Sacchetti and Caden Colby chipped in with nine points. Paul Roberts led the Hawks with nine points.

North Attleboro, 41 @ Sharon, 55 – Final – North Attleboro had a good start to its season with a strong opening quarter but Sharon surged ahead by halftime and pulled away with a big second half. The Rocketeers led by two after a quarter but the were limited to eight points in each the second and third quarters by the Eagles’ defense. Will Hippler (eight points), Sam Cohen (12 points), and John Baez (nine points, six steals) each hit a three between the second and third quarters to help the Eagles pull ahead, leading 41-30 going into the final quarter. Cohen and junior Matt Baur tied for a team-high 12 points. North Attleboro senior Brody Rosenberg had a game-high 17 points for the Rocketeers, who had nine players enter the scoring column.

Girls Basketball
Franklin, 59 @ Attleboro, 32 – Final – Katie Peterson had 27 points and Franklin outscored the Bombardiers 30-14 in the second half to pull out a second win to start the season. The junior forward had eight points in each of the second and third quarters and buried a pair of threes. Olivia Quinn scored six points, all in the first half, helping Franklin jump out to a 29-18 lead by halftime. Sasha Tracey knocked down a pair of threes in the fourth quarter to finish with six points as well. Lindsey Perry was Attleboro’s top scorer with 14 points, scoring six points in each of the second and third quarters. Meghan Gordon was also in double digits, finishing with 10 points.

Canton, 42 @ Oliver Ames, 56 – Final – Jasmyn Cooper’s 17 points led OA to a second straight win to start the season (a 12th straight win going back to the beginning of last winter). Cooper (13 rebounds) scored 14 of her points in the first half, as the Tigers jumped out to a 12-point (28-16) lead by halftime. She also went 8-of-10 from the line on the night. The second half was nearly even, with the Tigers extending the lead by two points. Kaydance Derba added 12 points, 11 of them in the second half, and knocked down three from beyond the arc, while Caroline Peper scored 10 (eight in the second half) and had six steals. Hailey Bourne chipped in with eight points. Sydney and Fay Gallery combined for 33 of Canton’s 42 points, including 21 of the Bulldogs’ 26 in the second half. Sydney finished with 17 and buried three from outside. Fay scored 16 and had four threes.

Foxboro, 43 @ Stoughton, 30 – Final – Freshman Kailey Sullivan led the way with 11 points, as Foxboro earned its first win of the season. Erin Foley also finished in double digits with 10 points for the Warriors. Stoughton head coach Charmaine Steele Jordan praised her teams’ defensive effort for keeping them in the game. Offensively, Kate Bulger had 11 points while sophomore Kartina Varnum added nine points and nine rebounds for the Black Knights.

Taunton, 42 @ King Philip, 56 – Final – KP broke the game open in the third quarter to start the season with a second straight win. Jackie Bonner scored a career-high 26 points for the Warriors, knocking down four from beyond the arc. She scored 13 in each half, including nine in the second quarter as KP opened up a 22-16 lead at the break. She added seven in the fourth quarter to hold off a Taunton comeback attempt. Liv Lafond added 10 points, including seven in the second half, and Elizabeth Molla had all six of her points in the third, which KP won 20-8 to take a 42-24 lead into the fourth. Kameron St. Pierre eclipsed the 20-point mark for the second straight game, scoring 16 of her team-high 25 in the fourth quarter. St. Pierre went 9-of-10 from the line in the final eight minutes. Lexi Haywood added five points in the loss.

Milford, 17 @ Mansfield, 50 – Final – For the second straight game, Mansfield got off to a great start and never looked back. The Hornets took an 18-0 lead from the opening tip and improved to 2-0 on the season. Kara Santos had a big first half, scoring all 10 of her points, to help the Hornets lead by 19 at halftime. Abby Wager scored 11 points, including nine of Mansfield’s 15 in the third quarter, as the Hornets outscored Milford 15-2 to seal the win. Hallie Popat had a game-high 13 points, scoring eight in the second half and burying a trio of threes on the night. Milford was led by Maddalena Mannucci Pacini for the second game in a row. The foreign exchange student from Italy scored nine points, seven in the first half. Brooke Ferreira also chipped in with seven for the Hawks.

Sharon, 17 @ Oliver Ames, 74 – Final – Oliver Ames swept the 300M, the 600M, the 1000M, and the long jump to grab a big win over Sharon. Collin Williamson was a double winner for individual events, taking first in the 300M in 39.83 and first in the long jump at 19-01.00. Seniors Johnny MacDonald and Joshua Tocci took second and third, respectively, in the 300M while Guillermo Martino and Ashton Hart completed the sweep in the long jump. Senior Wyatt Fritchman took first in the 600M (1:35.73) followed by classmate Ryan Sroczynski and junior Ethan Mahoney, while junior Ryan Sarney had a league-best time of 2:44.43 in the 1000M, followed by sophomore Brendan Thomas and junior Alexander Pierce. Hart (50M, 6.97), Owen McMorrow (2 Mile, 10:12.30), Brady Burton (shot put, 36-00.00) and Fabrice Fouron (55M hurdles, 8.85; high jump, 5-06.00) also won for OA. Sharon senior Barry Spoto won the 1 Mile race in 5:03.27.

North Attleboro, 70 @ Canton, 29 – Final – Andrew Butler was a double winner for the Bulldogs, crossing first in the 300M (39.69) and winning the long jump with a leap of 19-05.00. Sophomore Sam Vail added a win in the 1000M (3:02.55) while Kyle Downing took first in the 1 Mile race (5:01.14).

Attleboro, 55 @ Mansfield, 45 – Final – Attleboro picked up key points from the field events, sweeping two and taking two out of three spots in another, to grab a win over Mansfield. Chris Leonardo set a PR with a throw of 44-03.00 to win the shot put, followed by Isaiah Traore and Isaac Pereira, while Blake Garzaro, Damon Dugan, and Hunter Camara swept the high jump. Mansfield’s Jake Wall won the long jump (21-10.75) but Kaiden Murray and James Hill grabbed key points by taking second and third, respectively. Murray also won the 300M and the Bombardiers swept the 2 Miles with Ethan Sylvia (10:54.72) first, followed by Lee Casstevens and Jefferey Hudon. Wall also won the 55M dash (PR time of 6.75) and the 55M hurdles (PR time of 7.89). Other winners for the Hornets included Grady Sullivan (PR time of 1:29.56 in the 600M), Collin Stevens (PR time of 2:57.62 in the 1000M), and Riley Tremblay (1 Mile, 4:49.01).

North Attleboro, 49 @ Canton, 51 – Final – Canton senior Kiley Hanlon won a pair of events and took second in another to help the Bulldogs edge out the Rocketeers. Hanlon was first in both the 55M dash (7.98) and the 300M (PR time of 44.88) while taking second in the high jump (4-06.00). Other winners for the Bulldogs included sophomore Liana Camille (600M, 1:57.79) and senior Ella Lewis (high jump, 4-08.00). Kate Oliver took second in both the 55M hurdles (10.86) and the long jump (13-10.50).

Attleboro, 15 @ Mansfield, 84 – Final – For Attleboro, junior Rebecca Rainey scored in a pair of events, taking second in the 300M (1:54.24) and third in the high jump (4-08.00) while senior Jahela Douglas earned a pair of third place finishes (300M, 49.05; long jump, 13-07.00).

Taunton, 51 @ Milford, 49 – Final – Freshman Emersyn DePonte set a pair of personal bests and won two events while classmate Colby Dunham had a huge kick in the final lap of the 2 Mile race to secure second place by less than a second, helping Taunton just edge out Milford. DePonte won both the 1 Mile (5:51.01) and the 2 Mile (12:32.58) while Dunham clocked in at 12:36.78 for second to pick up some key points. Junior Caelyn O’Leary won the 300M (PR time of 44.67), Nia Mainer-Smith (1:45.71) led a sweep of the 600M, and junior Quinlan Kiley (3:29.36) led a sweep of the 1000M for the Tigers.
