Canton, 45 @ Milford, 61 – Final – Milford built a double-digit lead by halftime (29-17) and pulled away in the third quarter to get the win. Zach Tamagni led the way with 22 points for the Scarlet Hawks while Shane Cosquete added 13 points and junior Kayden Kelley had 10 points and 19 rebounds. Canton junior Tony Harris had 15 points and 12 rebounds while Devin Foster chipped in with nine points.
Foxboro, 43 @ Stoughton, 52 – Final – Stoughton hit four of its seven three pointers in the final quarter to pull away from the Warriors. Matt Valle (16 points) hit three trifectas in the frame while Colin Sanda also hit one as the Black Knights won the fourth quarter 20-15. Foxboro’s Joe Morrison scored a team-high 15 points while Jamaine Few added 13 points for the Warriors.
Franklin, 55 @ Taunton, 42 – Final – Taunton turned a second half deficit (25-17) into a third quarter lead (27-25) but Franklin rattled off a 10-4 run to close the quarter and never looked back. Junior Connor Peterson led the way for the Panthers with 21 points while Paul Mahon added 12 points and Jalen Samuels chipped in with 11 points.

Milford, 56 @ Canton, 42 – Final – Kate Irwin led the Hawks with 22 points and Milford coach T.J. Dolliver added that the Hawks got “lots of contribution from the bench offensively and defensively.”
Stoughton, 29 @ Foxboro, 72 – Final – Lily Sykes led the way for the Warriors with 19 points and Ashley Sampson chipped in with 16. Grace Tamulionis added 10 points for Foxboro. Stoughton junior Val Whalen registered 17 points and eight rebounds for the Black Knights.
Taunton, 21 @ Franklin, 63 – Final – Ali Brigham was the top scorer for the Panthers with 13 points. Franklin also got 11 points from Kate Morse and nine points from Bea Bondhus.
King Philip, 34 @ Oliver Ames, 65 – Final – Oliver Ames limited the Warriors to just 13 points in the first half, running away with a big win at home. Kayla Raymond scored 12 of her game-high 17 points in the first quarter to set the tone for OA. Niyera Mitchell notched a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds while Abby Reardon chipped in with 11 points.
North Attleboro, 73 @ Sharon, 48 – Final – Caroline Collard was the top scorer for the Rocketeers with 12 points and Emily Schromm scored 11 for North. Emma Eberhardt had a game-high 19 points for the Eagles and Faythe Gomolka scored nine.
Hockey
Taunton, 3 @ Foxboro, 0 – Final – Taunton scored once in each period while Justin Chappell made 22 saves to earn the shutout win. Nick Terry netted a pair of goals while Cam Sneyd found the back of the net once. Zack Albert, Mike Volkmann, Jordan Hoey and Cam Welby each had an assist in the win.

Foxboro, 65 @ Sharon, 88 – Final – Foxboro’s Dan Egan had a first place finish in the 100 free for the Warriors.
Girls
Foxboro, 80 @ Sharon, 90 – Final – Emma Bridges came in first place in four separate events and qualified for both sectionals and states in one of them but the Warriors fell short to Sharon. Bridges qualified for states by winning the 200IM in 2:24.35. She also finished first in the 100 fly, the 200 medley relay (with Allison Curran, Lexi Nelson and Lindsey Nelson) and the 400 free relay (with Curran, Nelson and Nelson as well). Lindsey Nelson also won the 100 breaststroke.

Attleboro, 64 vs. Durfee, 53 – Final – Attleboro pulled away in the second half after holding just a two point lead (28-26) at halftime. Jake Dunkley led the Bombardiers with 21 points while senior Berlyns Abraham added 12 points and Lucas Boucicaut had 10 points and five assists. Andrew Milliken chipped in with nine points and Nate Douglas had eight points.
Canton, 67 vs. Archbishop Williams, 38 – Final – Junior Tony Harris grabbed a double-double as Canton ran away with a big win over Archies to begin 2017. Harris had 13 points and 15 rebounds to pace the Bulldogs while sophomore Devin Foster scored 15 points and junior Austin Maffie finished with 11 points.
Franklin, 57 @ Catholic Memorial, 58 – Final
North Attleboro, 70 @ King Philip, 64 – Final – North Attleboro had a strong first half by King Philip chipped away to tie the game in the second half. North Attleboro was able take a 54-52 lead into the fourth quarter and then hold onto a 66-64 lead with 1:28 to play. Jonny Friberg led the Rocketeers with 18 points and 10 rebounds while Tom Reynolds added a career-high 16 points. Seniors Brent Doherty (13) and Kyle McCarthy (12) combined for 25 points. King Philip’s Seth Sullivan scored a career-high 26 points while sophomore Kyle Layman had 16 points.
Oliver Ames, 63 @ Barnstable, 56 – Final – Facing an 18 point deficit in the fourth quarter, Oliver Ames scored 35 points in the final quarter to earn head coach Don Byron his 400th career win. Junior Jack Spillane scored 19 of his career-high 31 points in the fourth quarter to spark the large comeback. Senior Dylan Mahoney scored 15 points and sophomore Jake Erlich had 12 points for the Tigers.
Taunton, 78 vs. New Bedford, 55 – Final – Taunton senior Tommy MacLean dropped a team-high 16 points as the Tigers swept the season series against the Whalers. Lens Esquil and Lou Vendrell each added 12 points in the win while freshman Dante Law finished with 10 points.

Canton, 55 @ Attleboro, 64 – Final – In a back and forth close matchup, Jake Dunkley and Attleboro pulled away in the fourth quarter. Dunkley finished with 20 points while classmate Berlyns Abraham had 15 points and 10 rebounds. Nate Douglas added 12 points for the Bombardiers. Canton sophomore Devin Foster had a career-high 21 points while Tony Harris added 12 points and five rebounds and Jake Verille added eight points and three rebounds.
Foxboro, 36 @ Mansfield, 66 – Final – Mansfield limited Foxboro to just 14 second half points, turning a two point lead at the end of the first quarter into a 15-point lead at halftime and a 27 point lead at the end of three. John McCoy, Max Boen and Sam Goldberg (six rebounds) each scored 11 points apiece to lead the Hornets. Andrew Block had 11 points and seven rebounds for Foxboro.

Milford, 60 @ King Philip, 50 – Final – Between the end of the first quarter and beginning of the second quarter, Milford rattled off a 19-2 run that created a cushion they held for the rest of the way. With KP up 10-2, the Scarlet Hawks flipped the game with the run. Senior Anthony Arcudi netted a game-high 17 points, Shane Cosquete added 10 points, both Zach Tamagni and Nate Davila scored nine points and junior Kayden Kelley hauled in 15 rebounds to go with four rebounds. Justin Vine and Tom Madden each scored 12 points apiece while Pharaoh Davis came off the bench to score 10 points for the Warriors.
Stoughton, 47 @ Oliver Ames, 55 – Final – After being tied after the opening quarter, Oliver Ames opened a three point lead by halftime, a four point lead after three quarters and then held that lead in the fourth quarter. Three Tigers scored in double digits, led by Dylan Mahoney’s 21 points. Junior Jack Spillane added a career-best 16 points and Carter Evin chipped in with 10 points. Stoughton senior Cam Gomes dropped a career-high 19 points to go with seven rebounds.
Sharon, 51 @ Taunton, 65 – Final – Sharon was able to hang around through three quarters but Taunton pulled ahead in the final quarter. Freshman Dante Law scored a career-high 18 points to pace the Tigers with senior Tommy MacLean adding 13 points. Jimmy Fitzhenry led Sharon with 16 points while senior Ricardo Ripley chipped in with 12 points.

Franklin, 36 @ North Attleboro, 43 – Final – The Rocketeers outscored Franklin 19-12 in the fourth quarter to pull out the win in their season opener. Ashley Ahern led the way for North with 15 points, including eight in the fourth, and sophomore Julia Feid had 10 for the Rocketeers. Franklin was led by freshman Ali Brigham who scored 18 points in her second varsity game.
King Philip, 47 @ Milford, 44 – Final – The Warriors rallied from seven points down in the fourth quarter to pull out the win in their season opener. Sophomore Shannon O’Connor was the top scorer for KP with 12 points and freshman Faith Roy chipped in with nine. Junior Hadley Zolak had six points for KP, including important baskets down the stretch. Milford was led by Kate Irwin’s 17 points.
Oliver Ames, 51 @ Stoughton, 32 – Final – OA was led by three players with 11 points apiece – senior Niyera Mitchell, junior Kayla Raymond, and freshman Meg Holleran.
Taunton, 29 @ Sharon, 46 – Final – Sharon jumped out to an early lead and never let up. Sophomore Emma Eberhardt was the top scorer for the Eagles with 18 points and added eight rebounds and six steals. Shira Stoller added six points, eight rebounds, and nine assists for Sharon.
Hockey
Mansfield, 3 @ Norwood, 3 – Final – Chad Piotti scored a pair of goals, including the game-tying goal in the third period, to earn Mansfield a point in the opener. Joey Olsen added the other goal for the Hornets.

#11 Canton, 1 @ #6 King Philip, 2 – Final (OT)– Andrea McNeil scored the goal for Canton in the 10th minute. Elizabeth Furfari tied it for the Warriors with just 2:30 remaining in the game. Kate Lindmark scored the winner for KP off an assist by Christina Hathaway with 1:10 left in overtime. KP advances to the D1 South quarterfinal and travels to #3 seed Somerset-Berkley on Sunday.
#10 Franklin, 1 @ #7 Bridgewater-Raynham, 0 – Final – Alex Sullivan scored in the third minute for the Panthers. Franklin advances to the D1 South quarterfinal to face Walpole at 2:00 on Sunday.
#13 Mansfield, 1 @ #4 Sandwich, 2 – Final
#15 Oliver Ames, 1 @ #2 Walpole, 2 – Final (OT) – Just four minutes after Walpole took the lead, Dimitra Efremidis scored off a corner to tie the game with 11 minutes remaining. The Rebels scored two minutes into overtime to get the win.
