Baseball
Mansfield, 6 @ King Philip, 1 – FinalMansfield scored in each of the first four innings on its way to a win over King Philip, clinching the Kelley-Rex division title with the result. The Hornets scored two runs in the first and third innings while tacking on single runs in the second and fourth. Tyler Dalton earned the win on the mound, allowing just three hits and one unearned run in the seventh inning, and struck out 12. Dalton helped his cause at the place by going 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs. Cullin Anastasia added two hits and an RBI for Mansfield.

North Attleboro, 7 @ Taunton, 3 – FinalNorth Attleboro plated four runs in the third inning, including what turned out to be the winning run, to conclude the regular season with a victory on the road at Taunton. Brendan McHugh (three runs) started the third with a leadoff walk and scored on a double from Zach DeMattio (2-for-4). DeMattio scored on a two-out double from Jeff Gale, and Nick Raneri (HBP) scored on an errant throw. Gale came in to score on a base hit from Nolan Buckley. Taunton scored two in the fifth behind three straight singles from Jack Moynihan, Evan Melo, and Tyler Pietrzyk, and then a sacrifice fly from Jacob Crawford. But North put the game away with two more runs in the top of the sixth. Shawn Watters (double) scored on a triple from McHugh, and McHugh came home on a sacrifice fly from Nick Sinacola.

Softball
North Attleboro, 7 @ Milford, 4 – Final (9 inn.)North Attleboro struck for three runs in the top of the ninth inning, all with two outs, to hand Milford its second straight loss. Olivia Capobianco drove in Katherine Munley and came around to score herself on a base hit from Abby Gallagher. Gallagher scored on a hit from Ashley Cangiano. Annabelle Hebard had two doubles and scored a run for North. Bella Erti struck out five in the win.

North Attleboro, 7 vs. Walpole, 18 – Final

King Philip, 4 vs. Bishop Feehan, 5 – Final (8 Inn.)King Philip senior Jeremy Rhines allowed just one earned run in a strong outing but Bishop Feehan prevailed with a win in extra innings. Rhines tossed 6.1 innings and helped his cause offensively with three hits. Chirs Sawyer and Dan Antunes also had three hits apiece for KP.

Sharon, 0 @ Stoughton, 8 – FinalStoughton senior Will Eckhart had a dominant performance on the mound, tossing a complete game shutout to lead the Black Knights to a win. Eckhart allowed six hits, no walks, and struck out seven – including striking out the side on the top of the seventh to end the game. Stoughton’s offense had 14 hits on the day and scored four runs in the fifth inning. Matt Hadley went 4-for-4 with a double, Ruben Gonzalez added three hits, Robbie Seaman went 2-for-3 with a triple, and James Genest had two hits and knocked in two runs.

Softball
Attleboro, 1 vs. Bishop Feehan, 2 – Final

Mansfield, 19 @ Sharon, 0 – Final (5 Inn.)Mansfield closed out its season with a 19-hit day, winning in five innings on the road. The Hornets scored eight runs in the second and seven more in the third to put the game out of reach. Sarah Cahill picked up the shutout, allowing only five hits. Caty DeMassi had a big day at the plate, going 5-for-5 with a pair of RBI and Megan Letendre went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Grace Benton drove in three and had two hits, as did Kara Bendanillo and Kerran Holmes. One of Holmes’ hits was a two-run homer in the third and she finished the day with four RBI. Mady Bendanilo, Katie Dardinski, Sydney Woods, Emma Roche, and McKani Copparini all had one hit in the game for the Hornets.

Oliver Ames, 5 @ Sharon, 12 – FinalSabrina Robbins scored the 250th point of her career to lead the Eagles to a win in the season finale. Robbins finished with five goals and an assist on the day. Emma Eberhardt had another big day as well with three goals and five assists, while Maeve Barbera had two goals and an assist and Mia Lappen had a pair of goals. Rose Wald also hit a milestone for Sharon with her 200th career save. Eagles coach Shara Ginthwain noted that Bridget McManus and Lili Ross both had strong games in defense. Oliver Ames’ Chloe Kilkelly and Olivia Piazza each scored their 100th career goals for the Tigers.

Girls Tennis
Milford, 0 @ North Attleboro, 5 – FinalNorth Attleboro capped its regular season with a victory, earning its 13th win of the season with a sweep of Milford. Emily Chiasson (second singles) and the first doubles team of Azka Siddiq and Leah Marceau each won their match 6-0, 6-0. Senior Jordan Willis prevailed with a 6-2, 7-6 (3) win at first singles, Tara Nair emerged with a 7-5, 7-5 win at third singles, and the team of Shurobhi Nandi and Haley Strom won 6-1, 6-0 at second doubles for Big Red.

Stoughton, 9 @ Canton, 6 – FinalStoughton scored four runs in the sixth inning to overcome a one-run deficit and take a lead that it never relinquished. Jordan Lyons (3-for-5) had an RBI single to tie it 5-5 and Gina Carafa (4-for-4, two doubles, five RBI) followed with a three-run double. Freshman Nicole Baker added an RBI double in the ninth to add an insurance run. The Black Knights took a 2-0 lead behind four straight hits in the first inning. Stoughton made it 4-0 in the third behind a triple from Lyons and a double from Carafa. Canton plated four runs in the fourth to tie it and took a lead with a single run in the fifth.

Taunton, 6 @ Dighton-Rehoboth, 3 – FinalKelsey White pitched a masterful game allowing just three unearned runs on five hits, no walks, and five strikeouts. The freshman helped the Tigers overcome some uncharacteristic miscues on defense with her pitching and also made two key defensive plays. Alexa White also made a big defensive play at second, as did Mackenzie Handrahan in left field. Taunton put up two runs in the second when Hanna Aldrich scored on a wild pitch and Paige Silvia scored on an RBI single from Kelsey White. Taunton tacked on four more runs in the fourth highlighted by suicide squeezes from Aldrich and Liana Duarte.

Girls Lacrosse
King Philip, 9 @ North Attleboro, 11 – Final

Boys Tennis
Milford, 0 @ King Philip, 5 – FinalKing Philip ended the regular season with a win over Milford. Neither Marco DiStefano nor Nick Putney lost a single game at first and second singles, respectively. Sean Desroches picked up a 6-3, 6-0 win at third singles. The team of Nate Ihley and Aidan Ignatius notched a 6-0, 6-0 win at first doubles while Nich Ihley and Riley Outlaw prevailed 6-0, 6-1 at second doubles.

Mansfield, 3 @ Westwood, 2 – FinalJuniors Luke Nickerson and Luke Devine picked up wins in singles action while Jalaj Singh and Sethu Odayappan capped their regular season with another win to help the Hornets edge Westwood. Nickerson won 6-1, 6-1 at first singles, Devine prevailed 6-0, 6-1 at third singles, and the first doubles pairing won 6-1, 6-2.
