Boys Soccer
Taunton, 0 @ Mansfield, 4 – Final – Mansfield built a 2-0 lead by halftime and then doubled its advantage inside a five-minute span in the second half to land a big win over visiting Taunton. Danny Rowe, Andrew Bain, Dan Checkoway, and Matt Hyland all scored, getting on the end of a service into the area. Rowe opened the scoring off of a feed from Hyland in the 12th minute, and then Hyland set up Bain off a throw-in from Michael Caridi in the 28th minute. Checkoway scored the first goal of the second half on a cross from Bain, and Hyland made it 4-0 four minutes later on another service from Bain. Jack Lasbury-Casey recorded the shutout with eight saves.

Girls Soccer
Mansfield, 7 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Tarynn Smith recorded a brace for the third time in a week and helped Mansfield to its fourth straight win. Katie Miller, Avery Hawthorne, Carly Devine, Kara Santos, and Aniela Diieso (first varsity goal) also found the back of the net for the Hornets. Abby Jean had a pair of assists.

Field Hockey
Attleboro, 9 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final

King Philip, 0 @ Canton, 1 – Final – Canton scored midway through the first half and the Bulldogs turned in one of their best defensive performances of the season to knock off King Philip. Carolyn Durand posted the shutout in net while senior Carly Fitzgerald, Junior Sierra Abbott, and Sophomore Laura Valkanas all played well defensively. Sarah Cunningham finished off a pass from Erin Lane for the lone goal of the game.

Franklin, 6 @ Foxboro, 1 – Final – Franklin found the back of the cage three times in each half to pick up a win on the road in Foxboro. The Panthers built a 2-0 lead in the first quarter with goals from Raena Crandall and Shaw Downing (from Crandall), and extended the advantage to 3-0 on a goal from Kaitlyn Carney (from Ella Mahoney) midway through the second quarter. Payten Crandall, Haley Wernig, and Downing all scored goals in the second half.

Mansfield, 3 @ Sharon, 0 – Final

Milford @ North Attleboro, 6:00

Taunton, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 4 – Final – Oliver Ames’ Georgia Costello scored twice and added an assist as the host Tigers took care of business against visiting Taunton. Erin Cottam opened the scoring in the first quarter for OA, who scored once in each quarter, with Lily Gaskill on the assist. Costello tacked on an unassisted goal int he second and then set up Gaskill for a goal in the third. Costello made it 4-1 by scoring in the fourth on a pass from Cottam. Sophomore Casey O’Leary scored for Taunton with an assist from senior Braeley MacDonald.

Volleyball
Attleboro, 3 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – Attleboro picked up its sixth win of the season after taking a 3-0 sweep (25-18, 25-21, 25-15) on the road at Stoughton. Freshman Julia Leonardo led the way for the Bombardiers with 11 kills and four aces while Brianna Frissora had a standout game at the net. Lilly Boedeker anchored the defense for the visitors.

Franklin, 3 @ Foxboro, 0 – Final – Franklin rolled to its seventh win of the season, this time in the form a 3-0 sweep (25-15, 25-20, 25-6) win on the road at Foxboro. The Panthers, which have only dropped one set all year, were led by Lindsey Tarantola, who had 10 kills and three blocks in the win.

Milford, 3 @ North Attleboro, 1 – Final

Taunton, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final – Oliver Ames defended its home court by taking down visiting Taunton with a 3-0 sweep (25-18, 25-15, 25-14). Sophomore Sarah Hilliard led the charge for the host Tigers with a strong all-around game with 10 kills, 12 serve receptions, and 16 digs. Senior Hadley Rhodes added 18 assists and four kills, junior Maddie Homer notched 22 digs, and sophomore Claire O’Rourke recorded nine kills.




Boys Cross-Country
King Philip, 27 @ Mansfield, 28 – Final – Mansfield had the top two runners but King Philip’s depth was on display by taking third, fourth, fifth, seventh, and eighth to edge out the Hornets. Chris Leonard was first overall (17:46) with teammate Collin Stevens (17:47) finishing second.

Golf
Attleboro, 157 @ North Attleboro, 158 – Final – After losing its last two matches by a combined three strokes, Attleboro ended on the right side of a close match with a win over rival North Attleboro at Heather Hill. Leo Lombardo led the way for the Bombardiers with a team-low round of 37, Carter Shelton added a 39, and Brendan Raymond and Parker Sackett each shot 41 in the win. Tyson Laviano was the match medalist with a low-round of 36, Aaron Levesque came in with a 40, Jake Gaskin added a 41, and Dillon Harding shot a 42 for the Rocketeers.

Foxboro, 158 @ Stoughton, 188 – Final – Foxboro’s Jack Rounds fired a medalist round of 38 and the Warriors went on the road and picked up a win at Easton County Club. Jack Watts added a 39 for Foxboro, Dylan Pothier added a 40, and Matt Fossella finished with a 41 in the win. Joseph Rush shot a team-low round of 44 for the Black Knights.

Canton, 154 @ Sharon, 173 – Final – Mike Leonetti was the match medalist for the Bulldogs and Canton stayed undefeated with a win on the road at the Cape Club of Sharon. Leonetti’s low-round of 37 led the way while Mekhala Costello added a 38, Will Gefteas shot a 39, and Conor Hunter came in with a 40. Nathan Daley paced the Eagles with a 40, Eric Carer and Noah Glassman each shot a 44, and Rosie Leonard chipped in with a 45.

Taunton, 197 @ Mansfield, 164 – Final – In the front end of a home-and-home matchup with Taunton, the Hornets secured a win at Norton Country Club over the Tigers. Hunter Tang was the match medalist with a round of 39, Cian Goulet added a 40 for the Hornets, Ryan Doherty chipped in with a 42, and Brendan Vokey added a 43.

Milford, 175 @ Franklin, 165 – Final – Junior Jack Hagerty birded on the seventh hole to help earn medalist honors and help the Panthers take care of Milford at Franklin Country Club. Hagerty finished with a low-round of 39 while sophomores CJ Steel and Brendan Collins, along with freshman Ben Paterson, all came in at 42. Nate Lawrence led Milford with a round of 40.

Field Hockey
Foxboro, 1 @ Attleboro, 2 – Final – After trading goals in the first half, Attleboro went back ahead early in the third quarter and then denied a comeback bid from the Warriors in the fourth quarter. Emma Briggs scored both of the Bombardiers’ goals, putting the hosts ahead midway through the first quarter. Kaelin Connors tied the game shortly before halftime for Foxboro. Briggs scored the game-winner less than five minutes into the third and Attleboro held on.

Canton, 4 @ Taunton, 0 – Final

North Attleboro, 0 @ Franklin, 9 – Final – Holding a 1-0 lead through the first 15 minutes, Franklin exploded for four goals in the second and three more in the third to pull away for the win. Kaitlyn Carney (from Kendall Jones) opened the scoring in the fourth minute and tacked on two more in the second quarter. Shaw Downing and Raena Crandall also scored in the second quarter as the Panthers took a 5-0 advantage into halftime. Downing, Raena Crandall, Payten Crandall, and Emily Carney added goals in the second half. It was the first career goal for both Raena Crandall and Carney. Haley Wernig recorded two assists in the win.

Sharon, 0 @ King Philip, 7 – Final – King Philip senior Sydney O’Shea opened the scoring in the game by opening her account on the season while underclassmen Mara Boldy and Makenzie McDevitt each had multi-point games in the win. O’Shea scored a pair of goals, Boldy found the back of the net twice and had an assist, and McDevitt found the back of the net once and had an assist. Seniors Anetka Nowakowski and Haley Keller each scored their first goals to round out the scoring.

Stoughton, 0 @ Mansfield, 4 – Final

Oliver Ames, 4 @ Milford, 0 – Final – Oliver Ames dominated time in the attacking zone on the Woodland Turf field, taking home two points via a 4-0 win. Sophomore Erin Cottam bookended the scoring for the Tigers, opening the scoring off an assist by Georgia Costello and closing it with a goal on a penalty stroke. Costello and Julia Maclaine, who assisted one another on the middle goals for the Tigers, both had outstanding performances according to head coach Sharon Lawrence, who also noted the strong play of the Milford goalie (14 saves).

Volleyball
Foxboro, 0 @ Attleboro, 3 – Final – Click here for a Photo Gallery from this match. Attleboro beat Foxboro 26-24, 25-17, 25-14 to sweep the season series with the Warriors. It is Attleboro’s fourth win of the year, which ties the program’s most wins in a single season since the Bombardiers entered the Hock. Freshman Julia Leonardo led the way for the hosts in the opening set, recording five kills. The Warriors battled back in the first to tie the set at 24 apiece, but Natalie Brojek’s tip and Leonardo’s kill closed out the first. In the second set Gabby Bolduc stepped up for Attleboro, with a long stint at the service line opening up a five-point advantage that the home team never relinquished. The third set was all Bombardiers. Brojek started the third with five aces, as Attleboro scored the first eight points. The Bombardiers opened up as much as a 15-1 lead and cruised to the win.

Canton, 3 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Canton’s Fatima Sidibay had one of the best matches of her career and the Bulldogs rolled to a 3-0 sweep (25-6, 25-18, 25-19) on the road at Taunton. Sidibay put down nine kills and turned in four blocks to pace the Bulldogs’ offense. Taylor Reynolds did a great job distributing the ball with 28 assists along with three aces and a pair of kills. “The offense was a total team effort,” said Canton head coach Pat Cawley. Zoe Scibelli and Anna Verille anchored the defense with a combined 20 digs.

North Attleboro, 0 @ Franklin, 3 – Final – Franklin continued its unbeaten start to the season, rolling to a 3-0 sweep (25-17, 25-4, 25-20) win over the visiting Rocketeers of North Attleboro. Junior Cate Roberge and sophomore Taylor Lacerda each registered five kills while Georgia Harvey played well defensively with 15 digs.

Sharon, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – King Philip had a strong showing at the net for its sixth win of the season, recording a 3-0 sweep (25-10, 25-12, 25-14) against the visiting Eagles of Sharon. Middles Sami Shore (13 kills) and Emily Sawyer (nine kills) led the charge the Warriors while outside hitter Ahunna James added eight kills and four digs. Stella Bailey continued her strong serving this season with four aces and a total of 15 service points.

Stoughton, 0 @ Mansfield, 3 – Final – Mansfield took care of business at home, winning a close first and completing a sweep against Stoughton (25-20, 25-22, 25-18). The Hornets had a strong all-around team effort in the win starting with six aces, six kills, and five digs from senior Julia Kelly. Nicole Santos added a pair of kills and four blocks while Christina Lydon (nine assists) and Isabella Flint (seven assists) split the setting duties in the win.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Milford, 2 – Final – In a see-saw marathon battle, Oliver Ames came home with the win after a thrilling 3-2 (20-25, 25-12, 25-17, 22-25, 15-11) win at Milford. The Hawks got off to a good start with a win in the first set but it looked like the Tigers would take three straight after a pair of dominate sets. Milford bounced back nicely with a win in the fourth set but it was OA that prevailed in a hard-fought fifth set for the win. Sophomore Claire O’Rourke had a standout game with 13 kills, 10 digs, and eight serve receptions. Senior Hadley Rhodes put the offense in motion for the visitors with 38 assists and five aces, junior Maddie Homer notched 35 digs and 30 serve receptions, and sophomore Sarah Hilliard anchored the offense with 20 kills and 16 digs.




Golf
Mansfield, 187 @ Foxboro, 172 – Final – The Warriors used home course advantage to pick up one of their biggest wins of the season, knocking off Mansfield at Foxboro Country Club. Jack Rounds paced the way for the hosts on the Par 36 Front 9 at FCC, carding a match-low round of 41. Jack Watts added a 42 in the win while Matt Fossella added a 44 and Matt Sullivan came in with a 45. Hunter Tang paced the visitors with a team-low round of 44 while Ryan Doherty added a 45 in the win.

Milford, 177 @ Canton, 154 – Final – Sophomore Mekhala Costello took her turn as the match medalist as the Bulldogs rolled to another win, this time at Blue Hill Country Club against visiting Milford. Costello fired a one-over par round of 35 to lead the way, Will Gefteas added a 39 for Canton, and Mike Leonetti, Ryan Doucette, and Charlie Cohen all shot a 40. Anthony LaPierre paced the Hawks with a 41, Jacob Hipolito carded a 43, and Nate Lawrence came in with a 44.

North Attleboro, 169 @ Stoughton, 185 – Final – Jake Gaskin earned match medalists once again for the Rocketeers, this time on the road at Easton Country Club to help the Big Red knock off the Black Knights of Stoughton. Gaskin fired a 39 to pace North Attleboro, Tyson Laviano added a 41 in the win, Dillon Harding carded a 44, and Ryan Kohli came in with a 45. Anthony Hern paced Stoughton with a team-low round of 40 in the tri-match.

Sharon, 163 @ Stoughton, 185 – Final – Consistency was key for the Eagles on Thursday with all four of its scorers within a stroke in a win on the road over Stoughton. Reid Nierman was the match medalist at Easton Country Club, firing a team-low round of 40. Eric Carter, Rosie Leonard, and Nathan Daley all shot a 41 for Sharon. Anthony Hern paced Stoughton with a team-low round of 40 in the tri-match.

Milford, 1 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final – Milford scored 10 minutes into the second half and that was enough to earn two points on the road against Attleboro. Arthur Tome netted the long goal of the game, finishing off a pass from David Desa to put the Hawks ahead. Lucas Fernandes earned his first career shutout in net in his first start, forced into action due to injury.

Canton, 8 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – Canton junior Jake McCabe scored twice and had two assists as the Bulldogs snapped a short two-game skid in emphatic fashion. Jacob Crugnale added a pair of goals and an assist in the win while Charlie McKinney, Caden Mirliani, Zack Dowling, and Drew Garrett each scored once.

North Attleboro, 0 @ Foxboro, 1 – Final – Foxboro scored just minutes into the first half and Derek Axon notched the shutout in net for the Warriors. A blocked shot fell to the feet of sophomore John Hollis, who took a touch and ripped a blast on the bounce from 25-yards out that went just under the bar to put the Warriors on the board.

Franklin, 0 @ Taunton, 2 – Final – Taunton junior Riley Rebello set up the game-winning goal in the first half and scored the insurance tally in the second as the Tigers improved to 4-0 on the season, matching their best start since joining the Hockomock League. Rebello set up freshman Ian Robicheau to put the Tigers ahead in the 33rd minute. Rebello put the game away with a nice shot from outside the area in the 63rd minute.

Mansfield, 1 @ King Philip, 0 – Final – Mansfield defender Ian Leeds made the play of the game, coming up with a clearance to preserve the win for the Hornets. The Warriors nearly got on the board but Leeds was there to keep it out and help the Hornets get their fourth shutout of the season. Liam Anastasia took a pass from Danny Rowe and went in alone on goal and finished for the lone goal of the game.

Sharon, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 6 – Final – After being shutout by Franklin last week in their first loss of the season, Oliver Ames bounced back in big way with a 6-1 win over visiting Sharon. The Eagles cut the deficit in half early in the second half to make it 2-1 but Clide Neau scored three straight for a hat trick as the Tigers pulled away. Mathias Taylor and Michael Haikal scored goals in the first half as OA staked a 2-0 lead at the break. Senior John Dobbin tacked on a sixth goal for OA off an assist from Christian Haikal.

Girls Soccer
Attleboro, 5 @ Milford, 0 – Final – Kacey Parker scored a pair of goals to help Attleboro pick up a second straight win in what head coach Steve Santos called a “solid team performance.” Jamie Davies opened the scoring in the first half, finishing an assist from Bethany Alves. Parker got her first of the day, from an Emily Dunlea assist, to make it 2-0 heading into halftime. The Bombardiers added three goals after the break to pull away. Zoe Johnson-Kiff scored off an Allison Rebelo assist, Parker doubled her tally this time from an Emily Khang helper, and then Kahlan Gray wrapped up the scoring from an Aly Santoro assist.

Foxboro, 2 @ North Attleboro, 0 – Final – The Warriors made it four straight wins with a win at North. Brooke Berreira had the eventual game-winner with three minutes left in the first half, scoring off a pass from Erin Foley. Grace Riley added a second in the closing minute, finishing a Kailee McCabe corner to seal the win. Summer Doherty had a strong game in the North defense trying to mark McCabe and keep the league’s leading scorer quiet. Haley Sinacola also had a good game in a reworked North defense. Brayden Rice, Lily Adams, Brooke Sullivan, and Casey Butanowicz played well in the North midfield.

Taunton, 0 @ Franklin, 7 – Final – After being held scoreless in the first half, Franklin exploded for seven goals after the break. Anya Zub scored four times, including one from the penalty spot, Stella Regan added a brace, and Selene Hammad scored once for the Panthers, who remain just one point back of KP in the division standings. Izzy Arnold, Lily Deforge, Anna Grasso, Avery Greco, and Tori Carmignani each had an assist for the Panthers.

Stoughton, 0 @ Canton, 7 – Final – Canton couldn’t find a breakthrough in the first half, heading into the break scoreless, but the Bulldogs scored seven times in the final 40 minutes, including a hat trick for Gabriella Herivaux, to pick up their first win of the season. Stoughton coach Hermes Lima was thrilled with his young team’s fight in the first half on both ends of the field. Lauren Mitchell and Emma Tran had string games in the heart of the Stoughton defense and Mia Rivera was excellent in goal. Sofia Issa played well in midfield, with Shayla Ford creating a few scoring chances along with Sivannah Marcy.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Sharon, 0 – Final – OA scored twice in the final five minutes to finally break the game open and secure the two points. Senior Lauren Sellmayer headed in a pair of corner kicks from Katie Gibson while Camryn O’Connor found the back of the net once. Halle Kander and Allison Evin had strong games for OA while Emily Meyers notched her first shutout of the season. Autumn Simon had a big game in the Sharon goal to keep the Tigers at bay for most of the afternoon. Amber Marcus-Blank, Jordanna Morris, and Samantha Connors also played well for the Eagles.

Field Hockey
Attleboro, 1 vs. Bishop Feehan, 3 – Final – Sarah McMahon scored the lone goal for the Bombardiers in a loss against visiting Bishop Feehan. Livie Hillman and Jordan Croteau had the assists to set up the goal.




Volleyball
Canton, 3 @ Brockton, 0 – Final – Canton’s Taylor Reynolds set the offense in motion as the Bulldogs landed a knockout of the visiting Boxers with a 3-0 sweep. Reynolds had 25 assists to go along with a pair of aces, Liz Beal added four kills in her first start, Amaiah Christian also added four kills, and both Katie Dever and Ella Lewis provided a spark off the bench.

Oliver Ames, 3 vs. Bridgewater-Raynham, 0 – Final – Oliver Ames senior Reese Blass had a strong all-around game to lead the Tigers to a 3-0 sweep (25-13, 25-18, 25-13) over visiting Bridgewater-Raynham. Blass had a total of 15 service points to go alone with five kills and a pair or blocks in the win. Hadley Rhodes added 15 assists and seven kills, Shannon Willard added 10 assists, and sophomore Claire O’Rourke chipped in with seven kills.

Golf
Sharon, 162 @ North Attleboro, 149 – Final – Jake Gaskin fired a two-under par round and North Attleboro carded its lowest score of the season to knock off visiting Sharon. Gaskin, who birdied three, four, and five, came into the clubhouse with a round of 33 on the south course at Heather Hill. Dylan Harding added a round of 37, Tyson Laviano finished with a 38, and Rohan Kohli chipped in with a 41. Sharon’s Nathan Daley was the match medalist with an three-under round of 32, after sinking birdies on two, three, and four.

Mansfield, 160 @ King Philip,160 – Final – In a battle of two of the top teams in the Kelley-Rex division, King Philip emerged with a close win over Mansfield. King Philip’s Mike Matheson shared medalist honors with Mansfield’s Cian Goulet, each coming in with a round of 36. Pat Reardon shot a 39 for the Warriors while both Jared Curran and Ethan Sullivan shot a 40. Hunter Tang added a 39 for the Hornets.

Franklin, 164 @ Milford, 173 – Final – CJ Steel continued his strong start to the season, earning match medalist honors with a low-round of 38 to lead the Panthers on the road at Hopedale Country Club. Ben Paterson added a round of 41 for Franklin. Anthony LaPierre carded a 40 for the hosts while Jacob Hipolito added a 42 for the Hawks.

Stoughton, 182 @ Oliver Ames, 155 – Final – Senior Carter Allbritton shot a match medalist round of 35 to lead Oliver Ames to a win at Pine Oaks over visiting Stoughton. Sophomore David Rodgers carded a 38 in the win, senior Jake Kaplan added a 39, and senior Brendan Connelly chipped in with. 40 for OA.
