Foxboro, 1 @ Stoughton, 3 – Final – Loubensky Lucas scored a hat trick for the second time this week, giving the Black Knights their third win of the week. Marco Antunes set up Lucas’ first goal, sending in a cross for Lucas to finish with a volley. Brian Peoples sent Lucas in on a through ball for the second goal and Lucas completed his hat trick by cleaning up a rebound. Stoughton head coach Aaron Salter noted the strong play of Tyler Melo and Luis Nascimento. Foxboro sophomore Shane VandenBoom score the lone goal for the Warriors.
Sharon, 1 @ North Attleboro, 1 – Final – Sharon took a 1-0 lead into the halftime break after going ahead in the 20th minute but the Rocketeers found the equalizer in the second half. Leo Charlebois tied the game in the 63rd minute after Jeff Gale – in his varsity debut – set it up with a hustle play to force a turnover.
Oliver Ames, 1 @ King Philip, 2 – Final – Colby Koch scored off an assist by Jack Bush and Larsen Keys scored from a Tyler Mann assist to give KP a 2-0 lead at halftime. James Gillespie pulled one back late for OA on an assist by Matt Campbell, but the Warriors hold on to stay unbeaten.

North Attleboro, 4 @ Sharon, 0 – Final – North Attleboro junior Haley Guertin netted a hat trick to pace the Rocketeers’ offense on Friday. Ashlyn Gaulin also scored for Big Red while Aine Mendonca and Emma Gaulin each notched an assist.
King Philip, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final – The Tigers got goals from Lauren Wright, Gabi McLaughlin, and Abby Reardon in the win.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Attleboro, 1 – Final – Oliver Ames’ Bridget McCarthy recorded her 1,000th assist in the win, becoming the first Tiger to do so in program history.
Sharon, 0 @ Canton, 3 – Final – Canton notched a 25-18, 25-15, 25-18 sweep in what head coach Pat Cawley called a total team effort. Cassie Loftus led Canton with six kills and three blocks and Casey Shea added five kills and four blocks. Malia Claiborne had four aces and Maria Mackie added three aces and played well at the net. Sharon junior Jess Allan led the Eagles offense with 13 kills, senior Natalie Kane added six kills and two block kills and senior Faythe Gomolka had 13 assists from her setting position.

Franklin, 1 @ Mansfield, 3 – Final – Mansfield won the opening set but dropped the second to the visiting Panthers. However, the Hornets bounced back with two straight set wins to earn the match win, 25-10, 23-25, 25-16, 25-18. Mansfield’s Jacey Anderson had 18 service points, Anna Kemp had 19 service point and Jess Haradon played great defense and had 26 digs. Erin Skidmore led Franklin with 11 kills, two aces and 18 digs while Lauren McGrath had 18 assists, five digs and two aces and Meaghan Maguire added three blocks
Stoughton, 0 @ North Attleboro, 3 – Final – Stoughton sophomore Molly Turner tallied 10 assists and head coach Erica Batchelder said Turner was a dominant presence at the net.
Taunton, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – King Philip pulled out a close win in the first set and went on to pick up a sweep, 25-23, 25-17, 25-11. Carly Adams had 19 service points to lead KP and added 16 assists, Sydney Phillips paced the offense with 11 kills, Amanda Loewen added nine digs and Elise Pereira chipped in with four digs.

Canton, 0 @ King Philip, 2 – Final – After a back and forth first half, King Philip assumed control in the second half. Thomas Lugten needed just three minutes to give the Warriors the lead early in the second half. Michael Rowe was tripped up in the area to draw a PK and junior Connor Mullins converted with less than 10 minutes to play to double the Warriors’ lead.

Stoughton, 0 @ Mansfield, 2 – Final – Mansfield converted on a pair of first half chances to pick up the win over the visiting Black Knights. Brendan Sullivan put the home side in front in the 13th minute, converting a cross from Kevin Bouck. Sullivan then drew a penalty in the 39th minute and James Chotkowski buried it to make it 2-0. Jed Tolbert made six saves, recording his first career shutout. Head coach Steve Sheridan applauded the play of defenders Max Gurnon, Harry Braidt, Nick Hyland and Ethan Brill-Cass. Stoughton’s Brian Peoples had a strong performance, making his return for the Black Knights after an injury last season.
North Attleboro, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – Final – Oliver Ames hit the post three times and North Attleboro cleared two more chances off the line as the two teams battled to a scoreless tie at Muscato Stadium.

Attleboro, 1 @ Sharon, 6 – Final – Ally Filipkowski and Alex Rabb both had hat tricks for the Eagles. Ally Steinberg and Anna Crosby both played well in midfield, according to Sharon coach Brad Furnival. Ashley Dame scored the goal for the Bombardiers.
Mansfield, 7 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – Hannah Reiter scored three goals and added an assist for the Hornets. Mansfield also got two goals from Emma Oldow, while Emma Goulet and Sydney Mulkern each scored once. Emily Vigeant had a pair of assists in the win. Stoughton’s goal was scored by freshman Chinazo Odunze off of an assist from sophomore Cintia Khouzami. Stoughton head coach Tara Daniels also made note of the defensive play of Sarina Hutchinson and Emerson Sprague.

Mansfield, 0 @ Bishop Feehan, 3 – Final – Mansfield was unable to overcome a slow start, falling to Feehan 10-25, 20-25, 22-25. Jess Haradon had 18 digs, Meg hill had seven kills and five blocks and Julia Harrison had six kills and 10 digs for the Hornets.
Stoughton, 1 vs. Cardinal Spellman, 3 – Final – Stoughton senior captains Christina Gelin and Riley Bagley worked with Sophomore Mia Bennett to combine for over 70 digs.
Field Hockey
King Philip, 2 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final – King Philip had 14 corners and 13 shots on goal in a dominate effort, scoring once in each half. Alli Meehan scored the game winner just over midway through the first half. Nicole Conner iced the game with just 3:30 left, scoring off a corner from Christina Hathaway. KP allowed just one corner in the game and didn’t allow a shot on net.
North Attleboro, 0 @ Canton, 3 – Final – Emily Campbell, Andrea McNeil and Maggie Wade each scored once in Canton’s win over North Attleboro.
Sharon, 0 @ Foxboro, 10 – Final – This was the 150th career win for Foxboro coach Melissa Bordieri.
Oliver Ames, 3 @ Franklin, 3 – Final – Franklin put up a pair of goals to go into halftime with a 2-0 lead but Oliver Ames came storming back in the second half. Brayden Downing opened the scoring off an assist from Cassie Ronan and Maddie Hinckley netted her first goal off a feed from Kayla Marshall to give the Panthers a 2-0 lead. Dimitra Efremidis brought OA back within one eight minutes into the second half and Kendall Clifford scored off a corner to tie the game. Dana Lewandowski put the Panthers back ahead midway through the second half off an assist from Maeve Ledwith but OA had an answer again. Liz Nuss scored on a breakaway with just over eight minutes to play to tie the game. Christina Lucini had four saves in net for Franklin while Katie Vamosi had a strong day in the cage for OA.
Milford, 0 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – Jackie Evangelista scored the lone goal of the game for Stoughton off an assist by Mia Russell. Gianna Barbosa had the shutout in goal in her first varsity start.

Jack Goyetch shot 36, Danny Powers carded a 37 and Joey Vaughan chipped in with a 39 for the Bulldogs. Jason Hindman led Mansfield with a 35 while Brett Kessler added a 39 for the Hornets.

Sharon, 173 @ King Philip, 160 – Final – Sebastian Ladoulis earned medalist honors, carding a low round of 38 for the Warriors. Jack Citarell shot a career-best 39 while freshman Nate Ihley impressed by carding a 40 on the day.
North Attleboro, 146 @ Oliver Ames, 139 – Final – In a one of the best matchups of the season, Oliver Ames edged North with the top eight players all coming in under 40. Junior Matt Kelley was the match medalist, carding a two-under pass round of 32 at Pine Oaks in Easton. Thomas Walsh shot one over par at 35 while Brady Allbritton and Ryan McGarry each had a round of 36. North Attleboro’s Robbie Congdon carded a one-under round of 33 while Dylan Kane and Thomas Puccio each shot 37 and David Colsanti finished with a round of 39.

Haley Guertin scored an unassisted goal to tie it for North eight minutes later. With eight minutes remaining, Kayla Pasquel won the game for the Rocketeers with an unassisted goal.
King Philip, 3 @ Milford, 0 – Final – Milford coach Jay Mastaj credited Rachel LeBlanc with a solid game on defense for the Hawks.
Volleyball
Mansfield, 2 @ Canton, 3 – Final – In a battle between defending division champions, the match went the full distance. Canton emerged with a 25-23, 20-25, 12-25, 25-22, 15-9 win over the Hornets. Hannah Jerrier led the Bulldogs’ attack with 12 kills while Erika Lum and Cassie Loftus combined for 13 kills from the weak side. Nicole Poole put Canton’s offense in motion with 32 assists while Emma Murphy had an outstanding night defensively at the net with nine blocks. Head coach Pat Cawley also noted the strong defensive games from Maria Mackie and Emily Lynch. For Mansfield, Emily Kleber had seven kills, Julia Harrison has 11 kills and 12 digs and Meg Hill had 14 kills and six blocks.

Foxboro, 178 @ King Philip, 168 – Final – Sebastian Ladoulis of KP was the low round of the match shooting a 41. Foxboro’s Logan Sloan was a co-medalist, also shooting a 41 on the day.
North Attleboro, 156 @ Sharon, 160 – Final – Sharon’s Max Avratin had the low round of the match with an even par 36. David Colasanti led North with a 37.

#4 Taunton, 1 vs. #13 Brookline, 2 – Final (8 inn.) – Luke Figueira pitched seven innings without surrendering an earned run but the Tigers couldn’t overcome a run by the Warriors in the top of the eighth inning. Figueira struck out seven and allowed three hits and four walks in a no decision. Christian Simoes, Jack Moynihan and Matt Machado each had two hits for Taunton, which totaled 11 hits as a team.
#9 Franklin, 4 @ #8 Durfee, 6 – Final – Franklin took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning but the Hilltoppers climbed back into the game with four in the bottom half and added single runs in the second and third. Offensively, Nick Santucci went 1-3 with an RBI, a walk and a run scored, Brad Jarosz was 2-3, Mike Skaza knocked in a run and both Steve Ferguson and Alex Bissanti scored a run for the Panthers. Sophomore Jake Noviello pitched well in relief for the Panthers, tossing four innings with just one run allowed while striking out five.

#12 Oliver Ames, 0 @ #5 Nauset, 9 – Final – Oliver Ames only registered a pair of hits against Nauset pitcher Paul Prue, who tossed a complete game shutout with seven strikeouts. Senior Josh Minuskin had a triple and sophomore Matt Muir had a single for OA.
#14 Canton, 1 @ #3 Middleboro, 0 – Final (9 inn.) – Canton senior Kevin Powers tossed a complete game, nine inning shutout to lead the Bulldogs past the defending D2 State Champions. Powers worked around a bases loaded situation in the bottom of the eighth and the Bulldogs went on to score the winning run in the top of the ninth. Jim Jenkins had his second hit of the game, a double, and moved to third on a bunt from Jimmy Hamrock. Sean Doyle then connected and Jenkins came home to score on an error. Powers stretched his scoreless inning streak to 24 straight, scattering five hits while striking out six batters. Mike McMahon also had two hits for Canton while Joe Peccia (11 putouts), Joe Bires and Matt Casamento each had a hit.

#14 North Attleboro, 7 vs. #19 Walpole, 8 – Final – North Attleboro rallied for four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning but were unable to push the tying run across the plate. Liz Morehouse connected for a two-run home run and Kaylea Sherman had three hits on the day.

#16 Mansfield, 4 vs. #17 Notre Dame Academy 0 – Final – The Hornets scored all four runs in the third inning and senior pitcher Maddie Letendre struck out 12 while allowing just two hits as Mansfield advanced in the tournament. Megan Letendre and Marissa Staffier (2-3) each knocked in a run and Maddie Letendre (1-3) singled to score them both to take a 4-0 lead. Bri Homer and Jocelyn Reardon (1-2) scored runs for the Hornets. Mady Bendanillo, Kara Bendanillo and Rachel Carafa each added a hit for the Hornets.
#23 Oliver Ames, 4 @ #10 Norwood, 8 – Final – Oliver Ames scored three runs in the first inning and added another in the second but the Mustangs offense proved to be too much. Missy Krim (2-3, run scored) reached on a single to left, advanced on a bunt single from Rachel Han and bunt single from Victoria Ziner (2-4, run scored) loaded the bases. Jamie Gottwald (1-4, RBI, run scored) batted in a run for OA and then scored off a two-RBI hit from Caroline Mahoney (2-3, two RBI).

#1 Franklin, 11 vs. #8 Newton North, 3 – Final – Franklin raced out to a 7-0 lead at half and held the Tigers of Newton North scoreless for the first 35 minutes of the game. Kenzie Pleshaw had four goals to lead Franklin while Julia Jette had one goal three assists, Diana Griffin scored twice and had a pair of assists. Head coach Kristin Igoe credited her defense with a very strong game, led by Sam Jones, who won six draws and two ground balls.

#8 North Attleboro, 10 @ #1 Walpole, 20 – Final – Hana Caster scored four goals for the Rocketeers and Mackenzie Rosenberg added three in the loss.

#13 Mansfield, 1 @ #4 Franklin, 4 – Final – Franklin got a pair of wins in both singles and doubles to advance in the MIAA tournament. Junior Eli Brooks battled back for a 5-7, 6-1, 7-6 win at second singles and freshman Dan Barrow won 6-4, 6-2 at third singles. Tom Mancini and James Johnston continued their stellar seasons with a 6-2, 6-1 win at first doubles and Jeremy Gan and Derek Wu won 6-0, 6-1 at second doubles. Mansfield’s Benny Lin won 6-2, 6-2 at first singles.
#6 North Attleboro, 5 vs. #11 Brockton, 0 – Final – North Attleboro won four of the five matches in straight sets to knock out the Boxers. Mitchell Dyer won 6-4, 6-3 at first singles, Zack Pfeffer won 6-1, 6-1 in second singles and Barsomo Nuay won 6-1, 6-1 at third singles. Jeff Yao and Ben Pfeffer won 3-6, 7-5, 8-6 at first doubles and Jake Fontes and Daniel Zhang won 6-0, 6-2 at second doubles.

Senior Cathryn Heavey and junior Chloe Peterson won 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) and freshmen Tessa Garufi and Elizabeth Elsner won 6-2, 6-1 at second doubles.
