Friday’s Schedule & Scoreboard – 12/16/22

Boys Basketball
Milford, 55 @ Attleboro, 63 – Final – Attleboro sank four of their nine threes in the fourth quarter to pull away from visiting Milford for their first win in their new gym. Jaiden Outland, who had a game-high 15 points, had one of those threes and scored seven points in the fourth while Hayden Crowley (nine points), Michael Beverly (14 points), and Neo Franco (10 points) also hit from downtown in the frame. Franco had a steal and a layup with just under two minutes to go to push Attleboro’s lead to 59-51 but a jumper from Andrew Rivera (at 1:26) and a layup from Luca Testa (with 45 seconds) brought the Hawks within four, at 59-55. Justin Hanrahan, Beverly, and Outland hit free throws down the stretch, and Spencer Sherck drew a charge to help the Bombardiers close out the win in the final minute. Attleboro head coach Mark Houle praised Sherck’s defensive effort against Milford, who were without two rotation players. Freshman CJ Farrell led Milford with 15 points, Ryan Franklin added 12 points, and Testa finished with 11 points.

Mansfield, 59 @ Foxboro, 50 – Final – Mansfield built a 12-point lead at halftime and opened the second half with a 12-0 run to surge past Foxboro in their first showdown as division rivals. After a back-and-forth first quarter that ended with a halfcourt buzzer beater from Trevor Foley (nine points, seven rebounds), Mansfield locked in defensively and limited the Warriors to just two field goals, outscoring the hosts 14-6 to build a 33-21 lead at halftime. Caden Colby (career-high 14 points) hit one of his four threes, Davon Sanders drove to the bucket for two, and Eddie McCoy (nine points) had back-to-back baskets, including a three, and Chris Hill (17 points, eight rebounds) finished a tough layup in transition as the Hornets pushed their lead to 45-21 with 4:30 to go in the third. Foxboro closed on a 13-0 run over the final three minutes to get to the final score. Alex Penders led Foxboro with 16 points while both Ryan Kelley and Sam Golub had eight points apiece.

Franklin, 58 @ King Philip, 50 – Final – Franklin finally pulled away in the fourth quarter, shaking an upset-minded King Philip squad, to grab a 58-50 win on the road. The Panthers led by two at the end of the first quarter (13-11) and halftime (24-22), and carried a three-point lead into the fourth quarter (40-37). Justin Allen hit a pair of key three-pointers in the fourth, Hansy Jacques had six of his 10 points in the frame, and the Panthers got a bucket each from Bradley Herndon, Ben Harvey (13 points), and Sean O’Leary (14 points) to close out the win. After a quiet first half, King Philip senior Will Laplante scored 15 of his 18 points in the second half while Tommy Kilroy added a career-high 12 points.

North Attleboro, 51 @ Taunton, 69 – Final – Buoyed by a 20-point second quarter and a 26-point third quarter, Taunton ran away with a big win at home over visiting North Attleboro. Chris Volcy exploded in the second half, netting 18 of his career-high 20 points to help the Tigers pull away. Senior Chris Perault added a career-high 19 points, knocking down all three of Taunton’s three-pointers. The Rocketeers and Tigers were locked in at 11-11 after eight minutes but Taunton established a 31-20 lead by the break as Troy Santos scored seven of his 11 points in the second quarter. Jonnie Obuchowski and Derek Maceda each scored nine points for the Rocketeers.

Stoughton, 45 @ Oliver Ames, 50 – Final – A see-saw back and forth battle ended with Oliver Ames holding on for a 50-45 win over neighboring Stoughton. With under two minutes to play and locked in a one-possession game at 43-40, Oliver Ames got a pair of big baskets from a pair of underclassmen. Sophomore Cole Craffey drove to the basket for a layup and freshman Soren Lolonga drained a three just before the minute mark to push the Tigers’ lead to 48-40. Stoughton freshman Aiden Wideout answered with a bucket down low off a feed from Liam Pearl, but Craffey was able to work his way through the defense with 20 seconds left to make it 50-42. Matt Greenspoon knocked down a three with 5.7 seconds left to close the gap to 50-45 but OA held on for the win. Chris Elias scored 10 of his team-high 15 points in the second quarter while Lolonga had all 15 of his points in the second half. Stoughton’s Jayden Costa-Haywood finished with a team-high 19 points while Greenspoon added 16 points for the Black Knights, who led 19-18 at halftime.

Girls Basketball
Attleboro, 56 @ Milford, 35 – Final – Attleboro had three players score in double figures and jumped out to a 20-point lead by halftime to secure its second straight win. Kayla Goldrick and Lily Routhier led the Bombardiers with 13 points apiece. Goldrick helped the visitors get off to a good start with six in the first and Routhier helped build a 36-16 lead at the break with a pair of threes and nine points in the second. Vanessa Ellis scored nine of her 11 points to help break the game open early. Merry Bosh added seven in the win. Milford was led by Erin Michelson’s nine points, all coming in the second half. Aliza Syed scored eight and Olivia Baglione chipped in with six for the Hawks.

Foxboro, 67 @ Mansfield, 31 – Final – Foxboro made it two straight wins to start the season with a dominant road win over fellow division title contender Mansfield. Camryn Collins powered the Warriors on offense with 24 points. Addie Ruter had 13 to continue her strong start to the season with another double-digit scoring night. Erin Foley chipped in with 10.

King Philip, 43 @ Franklin, 54 – Final – Thanks to a strong first half, Franklin picked up a second straight home win to start the season and kept alive its league win streak to 44 games. The Panthers jumped out to a 19-6 lead after one quarter and extended it to 31-15 going into the locker room. Sophomore Chloe Fales (career-high 16 points) and Katie Peterson (14 points) combined for 15 in the opening half and Caelyn Leonard buried a pair of threes and scored all eight of her points in the first. KP picked up its offense in the second half, and cut the lead to as little as seven points, but Franklin held on to secure the victory. Emily Sawyer scored 16 points, including eight in the third. Jackie Bonner had 13 points and Maddie Paschke added 11 in the loss.

Taunton, 46 @ North Attleboro, 32 – Final – Taunton put in a strong defensive performance to make it two wins from two games under first-year coach Gretchen Rodrigues. The Tigers held North to just 10 points in the first half (building a 13-point lead at the break) and then just six in the third quarter to pull away. Jillian Doherty led the way with 14 for the Tigers, including eight of the team’s 12 points in the first. Cali Melo added nine points, while sophomore Chelsea Bousquet had eight and freshman Taryn Campbell added seven. On a tough shooting night as a team, North was led by Ava McKeon’s 15 points. She scored 12 of North’s 16 in the fourth as the hosts tried to mount a late comeback. Freshman Ella McLaughlin added eight points in the loss.

Oliver Ames, 79 @ Stoughton, 42 – Final – OA carried over momentum from the second half of its opener against Franklin and exploded for 79 points on Friday to even its record after two games. The Tigers jumped out to a 21-5 lead after one quarter, extended it to 45-17 at halftime, and added another 22 points in the third. Freshman Kamryn Derba knocked down five three-pointers and finished with a game- (and career-) high 20 points. Classmate Avery Gamble added 14 points (on 9-of-11 from the line) and the duo combined for 25 points before the break. Freshman Maeve Horsman had 12 points, Kaydance Derba scored 11, and Annie Reilly had nine for OA. Stoughton also got an impressive performance from a freshman, as Kirsten McKay scored eight of her career-high 15 points in the third. She added five rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Raina Tat chipped in with 10 points and Alyssa Edwards added eight. Katrina Varnum pulled down 14 rebounds for the Black Knights.

Sharon, 41 @ Canton, 47 – Final – Canton turned defense into offense to pull out a win at home over Sharon. Trailing 41-40 with a minute to go, the Bulldogs forced four turnovers and turned that into a 7-0 surge to close the game out. Emily McCabe, who was battling foul trouble all night and hadn’t scored until that point, scored all seven of the points, starting with a three-pointer off of a pass from Han Hong (15 points, six rebounds, five steals). McCabe was first to a loose ball on the next possession and went in alone for a layup. Erin Beatty (eight points, nine rebounds) and Hong each had a steal with McCabe tacking on two more free throws. After a slow start, Sharon surged ahead with a big second quarter to take a 17-16 lead at halftime. Jasmine Davis finished with 19 points and 21 rebounds before fouling out with three minutes to go while Rachael Hager added nine points, five rebounds, and three assists. Jess Wright added five points, 12 rebounds, and three steals for Canton.

Anike Valuri earned a pin at 106 and freshman Connor Hanlon got his first career win with a pin at 120. Zach Xayvethy (132), Matt Sica (138), Max Kupferman (152), and Ruairi Ritson (195) also earned pins for the Bulldogs to set up the final match of the dual meet.

Boys Basketball

North Attleboro, 51 @ Canton, 60 – Final – Canton took the lead early and played from ahead, doing just enough to shake a resilient North Attleboro squad for a win in the season opener. The Bulldogs had different players step up throughout the game with juniors Zaza Francoeur (career-high 18 points) and Jamaal McConnell (17 points in his Bulldog debut) leading the way. Francoeur and McConnell each scored seven points in the second to help the Bulldogs establish a 29-24 lead at halftime. In the third, Caden Mirliani hit a pair of threes while sophomore Anthony Diletizia also scored to keep Canton ahead by five, 40-35, going into the fourth. Senior Matt Chafin and Diletizia each had a three in the fourth, McConnell added four more, and Francoeur (5/6 from the free throw line) helped the Bulldogs close it out with seven more points in the fourth. Ayden Delaney led a balanced scoring effort from North Attleboro with 11 points while Givany Carney and Derek Maceda each had nine points.

Milford, 53 @ Foxboro, 60 – Final – Milford rallied to shrink a 23-point second half deficit down to three with under two minutes to go by Foxboro senior Alex Penders came up with a big bucket and Ryan LeClair forced a key turnover two plays later as the Warriors escaped with a win over the Hawks. Penders finished with a game-high 24 points to lead the charge while LeClair chipped in with 10 points. Sophomore Ryan Kelley scored all of his career-high 10 points in the third quarter, helping the Warriors build a big lead. The Warriors led 15-12 after a quarter and thanks to a pair of threes from LeClair and seven points from Penders, Foxboro increased its lead to 31-20 at halftime. Kelley’s big third, plus two threes from Penders, saw the lead balloon to as much as 49-26 midway through the third. Milford sophomore Andrew Rivera scored half of his 16 points in the fourth to help rally the Scarlet Hawks, who went 13-for-18 from the free throw line, including seven of those makes in the fourth. Freshman CJ Farrell added a career-high 14 points for the Hawks.

Franklin, 55 @ Oliver Ames, 42 – Final – Franklin overcame a slow start to erase a double-digit deficit and pick up a win on the road in Easton. Oliver Ames came to play, racing out to an 18-5 lead after eight minutes with senior Chris Elias (11 points) and sophomore Cole Craffey (14 points) each hitting a three. But the Panthers flipped the switch and dominated the second quarter, holding the hosts to five points while its offense got going with 24 points. Justin Allen, who finished with 14 points, hit a pair of threes in the quarter, junior Andrew O’Neill (13 points) added one, and junior Sean O’Leary went off for 13 of his game-high 24 points in the second. Allen, O’Neill, and O’Leary each connected from downtown in the third to keep the Panthers ahead (44-30) going into the fourth.

Taunton, 67 @ Sharon, 63 – Final – Taunton junior Troy Santos exploded for a career-high 44 points to lead the Tigers to a win on the road at Sharon to open the season. The Eagles led after each of the first three quarters but the Tigers continued to rally, especially in the second half, to get the win. Seniors Jack Bates and Dante James each hit a three in the second quarter, Jacob McLoughlin had eight of his 18 points in the first half, and junior Nate Katznelson scored 10 of his 14 points in the first two quarters as the Eagles carried a 30-23 lead into the second half. Santos carried the Tigers in the first half, scoring all but four of their 23 points. Santos got some help in the third as Chris Volcy had five points and Chris Perault added eight points but a three-pointer from Bates at the buzzer put Sharon ahead, 44-42, going into the fourth. With just one three-point field goal and two free throws, Santos connected on seven two-pointers to shoulder the load in the fourth as Taunton went up by as much as 10 in the final minutes. Taunton had a 65-55 lead with a minute to go before the Eagles made it interesting as McLoughlin converted a traditional three-point play, James scored off of a steal and then hit a three off another Taunton turnover, this time with under 5 seconds to play. An errant whistle stopped the clock but Taunton used a full court heave to Santos, who finished at the buzzer, to survive.

Mansfield, 53 @ Attleboro, 63 – Final – Click here for a recap and photo gallery of this game.

Canton, 39 @ North Attleboro, 47 – Final – Ava McKeon scored a game-high 18 points, powering North Attleboro to a season-opening win. McKeon scored 10 points in the first quarter and 15 before halftime to help the Rocketeers jump out to a seven-point lead at the break. Canton cut it to one in the closing minute but North was able to pull out the win. North was 19-of-26 from the line as a team, which helped the Rocketeers hold on, despite having McKeon foul out late in the fourth. North coach Nikki Correia said, “I am so proud of the girls. They played as a team executed the offense and played hard D for four quarters.” Samya DaSilva nearly matched McKeon in the first half, knocking down three from beyond the arc and scoring nine of her team-high 13 in the first quarter. Sam Sweeney helped North hold off the Bulldogs in the second half, scoring seven of her 15 points in the fourth. Sam Faria chipped in with nine points for the hosts, including 6-of-6 from the line. Jess Wright also reached double digits for Canton, adding 11 points.

Foxboro, 67 @ Milford, 29 – Final – Sophomore center Addie Ruter scored a career-high 18 points to lead the Warriors to a big road win in the season opener. Kailey Sullivan added 17 points and Camryn Collins scored 14 for the Warriors. Foxboro scored 19 in the opening quarter but then broke the game wide open with an 18-5 second that increased the lead to 22 at the break. Brooke Ferreira led the way for the Hawks, scoring 12 points and freshman Ava Baglione scored eight on her varsity basketball debut.

Oliver Ames, 45 @ Franklin, 54 – Final – Franklin was able to hold off a fourth quarter charge by OA to pull out a foul-filled season opener and continue its long win streak in league play. The Panthers jumped out to a 17-7 lead after the first and extended the advantage to 14 heading into the final eight minutes. OA rallied, scoring 18 points in the fourth and twice cutting the lead down to as little as seven, but Franklin made enough plays to seal the victory. Katie Peterson battled foul trouble in the second half, but finished as the game’s top scorer with 13 points. Chloe Fales, Caelyn Leonard, and Lizzie Newman each scored 10 points for the Panthers and Bridget Leo added eight. Freshman Kamryn Derba scored a team-high 11 points on her varsity debut for OA. Maeve Horsman added nine points, including seven in the fourth, Annie Reilly had eight points and eight rebounds, and Maddie Homer had seven points and five boards in the loss.

Stoughton, 41 @ King Philip, 64 – Final – KP came alive offensively in the third quarter, outscoring Stoughton 24-7 to break the game wide open. Emily Sawyer scored 12 of her game-high 16 in the third to help the Warriors pull away and seal the season-opening win. Maddie Paschke added 13 points for KP, including seven in the first half. Kylie Watson chipped in with nine and Jordan Bennett and Jackie Bonner each scored seven points for the hosts. Stoughton was able to hang around in the first half with help from Katrina Varnum, who score 10 of her 13 points before the break and added 11 rebounds, including eight on the offensive end, and three blocks. Freshman Kirsten McKay had a big debut for the Black Knights, scoring 10 points, seven of them in the fourth quarter, and adding eight rebounds, four assists, and five steals. Alyssa Edwards added 10 points, eight boards, a block, and four steals, while Raina Tat finished with seven in the loss.

Sharon, 37 @ Taunton, 46 – Final – Cali Melo scored a team-high 17 points, nine in the first half, helping Taunton pick up a win in the season opener and give new coach Gretchen Rodrigues a win on her debut. Taunton held the Eagles to just 11 points in the first half and then held on as Sharon tried to mount a late comeback attempt. Freshman Taryn Campbell added 10 points in her first varsity game (eight in the opening half) and Jillian Doherty chipped in eight points (four in each half). Sharon picked things up offensively after the break, led by Jasmine Davis, who scored 16 of her game-high 19 points in the second half. Davis added 24 rebounds and three blocks. Rachael Hager (seven rebounds and four steals) added eight of her 11 points after halftime and Eva Poulton contributed seven points and five boards for Sharon.

Sophomore Cole Craffey scored 15 of his career-high 17 points in the first half, helping the Tigers establish a 32-16 lead at halftime. Freshman Solen Lolonga poured in 13 of his game-high 19 points in the third quarter, adding five rebounds in his debut. Nick Asiaf chipped in with eight points and Chris Elias finished with seven points for OA.

Boys Indoor Track
Oliver Ames, 52 @ Canton, 48 – Final – Oliver Ames took the top two spots in four events to secure a tight win over upset-minded Canton. Ryan Sarney picked up right where he left off from a dominating cross country season to take first overall in the 1000M, clocking in at a league-best 2:45.32 while Alex Callanan took second in 3:06.71. OA also went 1-2 in the 1 Mile (Aidan Dupill, 5:11.64 and Brendan Thomas, 5:11.71), the high jump (Nolan Querzoli, 5’2″ and William Sobieraj, 5’2″), and the shot put (Peter Andromalos, 37’5.5″ and Frederick Hakimdin 33’1.5″). Sobieraj also won the 55M hurdles in 9.92. For Canton, Luke Darling won the 600M in his indoor track debut, clocking in at 1:35.57 while Christian Hanlon took first in the 55M dash in 7.28.

Stoughton, 29 @ Mansfield, 71 – Final – Mansfield made a big statement in its first meet as a member of the Davenport division, sweeping three events and both relays while taking the top team in the league in two more events in a win over Stoughton. The Hornets took the top three spots in the 1 Mile, won by Marco Geminiani (5:00.84) followed by Sam Taylor and Collin Fine, swept the 1000M with Talon Johnson (2:54.11), Colby Quersher, and Sean Higgins going 1-2-3, respectively, and also swept the 2 Mile run as John Sylvain (11:23.60) led the pack, followed by Ben Dury and Sean Whittaker. Junior Evan Thevenot won the long jump with a league-best leap of 19’9.75″ while senior captain Grady Sullivan had the fastest time of all runners in the 300M at 1:28.16. Ayden Agbasi and Billy Gardner went 1-2 in the shot put for the Hornets. Mansfield also swept the relays with the 4×200 (Myles Brown, Evan Rawlings, Nolan Clark, Thevenot) finishing in 1:38 and the 4×400 (Tommy Giudicianni, Troy Penney, Johnson, Sullivan) recorded a league-best time of 3:41. Stoughton’s William Tinkham won the 55M hurdles with a league-best time of 8.27 and Matt Singletary won the high jump (5’10”).

Foxboro, 54 @ Sharon, 40 – Final – Anchored by a sweep in the shot put and wins in six other events, Foxboro got the season started with a win over Sharon. Joe Flanagan had the second best throw in the league in the shot put, leading a sweep with a toss of 44’7″ followed by teammates Harrison Keen and Nicholas Higgins. Daniel O’Malley was a double winner for the Warriors (high jump, 5’8″ and 300M, 37.60) while Chris Proulx (2 Mile, 10:56.94), Brayden Pace (1000M, 3:16.02), Stephen Haney (600M, 1:33.71), and Brooks Stone (1 Mile, 5:05.94) also had first place finishes for the Warriors. Sharon swept both relays and got a pair of wins from Elijah Wisdom (long jump, 18’11.5″ and 55M dash, 6.96) and one win from Alexander Gong (55M hurdles, 8.76).

Taunton, 31 @ Attleboro, 64 – Final – Attleboro swept the 55M hurdles, the 600M, and the long jump on its way to a win over Taunton. Adrian Rivera, who also won the 55M dash for the Bombardiers, led the sweep of the long jump (19’7.75″) followed by Joshua Codella and Jordan Rivera-Silva. Peter DelPozzo won the 55M hurdles (8.68) with Sean O’Hara-Ouellette and Ian Miller rounding out the top three, and Jacob Blazek won the 600M (1:31.67) followed by Sean Kaswale and Austin Bowie. O’Hara-Ouellette and Jake Stromfors also tied for first in the high jump for the Bombardiers. Taunton’s Brayden Cali won both the 1 Mile (5:09.19) and the high jump (5’6″), Sam Denis took first in the 2 Mile (10:48.65), Peter Moor won the shot put (40-02.50), and Andrew Cali clocked in at 2:54.08 for first in the 1000M.

North Attleboro, 36 @ Franklin, 64 – Final – Franklin’s depth proved to be key as the Panthers took two of the top three spots in eight individual events, including sweeps in the 2 Mile and the 600M, to take down North Attleboro. Jonathan Pink clocked in at 11:13.06 to win the 2 Mile, followed by Luke Paragona and Sean Giuliano, while Jake Vaccarezza won the 600M in 1:33.84 with Fraser Baird and Jake Lorenzo rounding out the top three. Franklin also got wins from Harry Gurney (55M hurdles, 9.24), Luke Sidwell (300M, 37.74), and Will Boozang (1 Mile, 5:01.03). North Attleboro’s Nathan Shultz continued his dominance in the winter, taking first in a pair of events: the high jump in a league-best 6-06.00 and the 55M dash in 6.76. The Rocketeers also got wins from Kyle Conroy (long jump, 18-04.75), Mark Etienvre (shot put, 50-04.00), and Connor Peterson (1000M, 2:48.29).

Milford, 36 @ King Philip, 59 – Final – Buoyed by a sweep in both the 55M hurdles and the high jump, along with six more individual wins, King Philip took care of business with a win over Milford. Luca Giardini (8.72) Kevin Smith, and Jack McKenna swept the 55M hurdles while Dylan Woods (5-10.00), Degen Granese, and Keagan Fletcher took the top three spots in the high jump for KP. Granese added two wins of his own in the long jump (19-09.25) and the shot put (36-11.50), Giardini added another win in the 1000M (3.01.38) while Pranav Srinivasan (600M, 1:41.68), Nathan Gebhard (300M, 38.99), and Noah Lerner (1 Mile, 5:19.37) each won. Milford’s Andrew Fletcher (2 Mile, 11:16.17) and Jarret Brown (55M dash, 7.06) each won for Milford.

Girls Indoor Track
Oliver Ames, 54 @ Canton, 38 – Final – Julia Maclaine won a pair of individual events and was apart of the winning 4×200 relay team to lead Oliver Ames to a win in the season opener. Maclaine clocked in at 45.03 to take first in the 300M and won the high jump at 4’8″, and then teamed up with Grace Okocha, Aubrey Thibault, and Catie Wilson to take the relay in 1:56.12. Okocha also won the 55M dash for the Tigers (7.88), Thibault won the long jump (15’7.5″), and Oliver Ames swept the 600M with Deanna Flaherty (2:00.16), Kensie Graham, Erin Reilly, and Brynn Cushing taking the top four spots. For Canton, Jayda Proffit (10.59) and Katherine Oliver went 1-2 in the 55M hurdles, Emma Massih won the shot put (28’2″) with Allie Wong taking third, and the Bulldogs’ 4×400 relay team of won by .27 seconds.

Stoughton, 45 @ Mansfield, 51 – Final – Trailing by four points going into the the relays, Mansfield won the 4×200 by less than a second and then the 4×800 by less than six tenths of a second to earn 10 points and pull out the win over Stoughton in a terrific back-and-forth battle. Rosie McIntyre, Taylor Palinski, Avery Hawthorne, and Brooke Penney clocked in at 4:37.59 — just ahead of Stoughton’s 4:38.57 — while the Hornets’ 4×400 relay team of Abigail Scott, Meghan Driscoll, Olivia Barry, and Chloe Guthrie won in a time of 1:52.39, just ahead of the Black Knights at 1:52.95. Guthrie also won the long jump (31-09.00), Anna Moore was first in the 2 Mile (12:50.02), and Elyssa Buchanan won the 55M hurdles (9.34). Stoughton’s Shayla Ford won a pair of events, first in both the 300M (44.84) and the 55M dash (7.78), Julie Richardson had a dominate win in the 600M (1:51.6), Gabriele Julien won the high jump (4-10.00), Elaine McCarty won the 1000M (3:40.17), and Lily Branco crossed first in the 1 Mile (6:41.84).

Foxboro, 62 @ Sharon, 35 – Final – Foxboro won both relays and took first in seven more events to open the season with a big win over Sharon. The Warriors picked up wins from Chloe Davies (high jump, 4-10.00), Dalia Fitzgerald (long jump, 14-06.50), Erin Haney (shot put, 22-11.50), Aine Fitzpatrick (2 Mile, 13:36.40), Casey Dahl (1000M, 3:35.75), Ella Campbell (300M, 46.77) and Brooke Davies (1 Mile, 6:20.62). Sharon’s Maude Kilmer won two events, taking first in the 55M hurdles (9.20) and the 55M dash (7.60), while Eva Olszewski won the 600M in 1:53.91 for the Eagles.

Taunton, 46 @ Attleboro, 54 – Final – Down to the relays, Attleboro secured the win by taking the 4×200 relay in 2:00.19 to finish off a win over Taunton. The team of Zenda Gjoni, Gabriela Sprovieri, Lindsey Anastasia, and Jessica Jennison were the winning relay team for the Bombardiers. The Bombardiers also got key points from a sweep in the shot put, led by Kimberley Packard-Flores’ winning throw of 26-02.00 with Arianna Amaral and Ella Blaisdell taking second and third, respectively. Gjoni added a win in the 55M hurdles (10.64), Anastasia took first in the 55M dash (8.08), Rebecca Rainey won the high jump (4-08.00), Emilia Smith took first in the 2 Mile (12:56.10), and Alexis Cincotta crossed first in the 600M (1:57.74). Taunton picked up wins from Isabella Leiete (long jump, 13-10.75), Braelyn Nichols (1000M, 3:40.96), Ava Uhl (300M, 46.64), and Emersym DePonte (1 Mile, 5:46.44).

North Attleboro, 22 @ Franklin, 77 – Final – Franklin opened the season with a dominant showing, winning eight events, sweeping two of them and scoring in all of them, while taking both relays to beat North Attleboro. Lily DeForge, who set the school record in the shot put, won the event in 35-01.50 followed by Elizabeth Hopkins and Darby Nicholson while Sarah Dumas (9.01, Barra Pfluke, and Cailyn Bruno swept the 55M hurdles. Dumas also won the 55M hurdles (9.01) and other winners for the Panthers were Abigail Griffith (high jump, 5-00.00), Mackenzie Mann (2 Mile, 14:04.79), Sophia Cuneo (55M dash, 7.94 and 300M, 45.50), and Ella McLaughlin (600M, 1:54.14). North’s Julia Simpson (1000M, 3:34.51) and Katie Galcoczy (1 Mile, 6:07.87) each won for the Rocketeers.

Milford, 41 @ King Philip, 59 – Final – King Philip swept both the long jump and the 1000M race to collect key points to earn a win over Milford in the season opener. Alex D’Amadio (15-11.50), Ali Gill, and Madeline Hill were the top three finishers for the Warriors in the long jump while Olivia Archambault (3:42.35), Ella Lussier, and Cheyanne Kelley went 1-2-3 in the 1000M. KP also picked up wins from Gill in the 300M (43.65), D’Amadio in the high jump (5-10.00), Katherine O’Neil in the shot put (32-02.00), and Madeline Hill in the 55M hurdles (9.98). Milford had four individual winners: Sydney Kalil (2 Mile, 12:01.83), Kiyanni Simas (55M dash, 7.48), Kay Wheelock (600M, 2:02.09), and Carly Haley (1 Mile, 6:24.46).
