Boys Basketball
North Attleboro, 58 @ Falmouth, 61 – Final (OT)North Attleboro sophomore Jake Peckham hit a three with 2.8 seconds left to force overtime but the host Clippers prevailed with a three-point win. The Rocketeers built a two-point lead at halftime (22-20) before Falmouth had their best offensive quarter of the game with 20 points in the third to stake a 40-38 lead going into the fourth. Peckham’s second three of the fourth kept North in it forcing overtime. Peckham had five total threes and finished with a career-high 25 points while junior Jonnie Obuchowski hit nine shots from the floor and went 7-for-7 at the line for a career-high 26 points. Senior Chris Hanewich, junior Andrew Schmidt, and sophomore Conor Casey all played great defensively to keep North in the game.

Taunton, 73 vs. New Bedford, 72 – FinalTaunton had five players in double figures in the scoring column to take down New Bedford for the second time this season. Sophomore Dray Thielker drained six three-pointers on his way to a team-high 20 points and senior Kenzel Jeanmichel went 5-for-6 from the floor to finish with 14 points, five rebounds, and a pair of blocked shots. Cyrus Morissette (10 assists, six rebounds), Tyson Carter (eight rebounds), and Troy Santos (five rebounds, five assists, two steals) all chipped in with 11 points each.

King Philip, 45 @ Sharon, 58 – FinalClick here for a photo gallery of this gameSharon used a big run at the start of the fourth quarter to turn a two-possession game into a double-digit win over visiting King Philip. The Warriors’ 2-1-2 zone slowed the Eagles enough for the first three quarters and Sharon took a 40-34 lead into the final eight minutes. The hosts got into a rhythm offensively and outscored KP 11-2 over the first two minutes and the run finished at 18-4 to give the Eagles a big lead. Senior Nate Katznelson had 19 points and 11 rebounds, senior Jacob McLoughlin added 11 points, 10 assists, and eight rebounds, and senior Jaden Segal chipped in with 12 points, four rebounds, and four assists. Junior Jack Assini led King Philip with 18 points, four rebounds, and four steals while senior Tommy McLeish hit a trio of three-pointers and had 11 points and four boards.

Girls Basketball
Taunton, 71 @ New Bedford, 53 – FinalAfter a rough offensive game on Friday, Taunton clicked right back into gear against New Bedford, scoring 71 for the second time against the Whalers to sweep the season series. After a 19-point first quarter, the Tigers pulled away by scoring 24 points in the third to extend the lead. Taryn Campbell sparked the Taunton offense on Sunday, scoring 17 of her team-high 23 points in the second half. Jillian Doherty added a dozen points and Cali Melo, Lexi Haywood, and Chelsea Bousquet each scored nine points. Aaliyah Yera knocked down a pair of threes, scoring half of Taunton’s 12 points in the second quarter.

Boys Basketball
North Attleboro, 47 vs. Weston, 62 – Final Click here for a photo gallery of this game. – North Attleboro mounted a second half comeback but came up short against visiting Weston. The Rocketeers trimmed a 17-point deficit down to 11 going into the fourth, and a three-pointer from sophomore Jake Peckham with just over four minutes left in the game closed the gap to 49-42 but the visiting Wildcats closed the game strong for the win. Peckham hit six three-pointers and finished with a career-high 19 points. Junior Jonnie Obuchowski added 12 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and a pair of steals while Chase Frisoli had eight points, eight rebounds, and four assists.
