#2 King Philip, 5 vs. #7 Needham, 2 – Final – King Philip senior Liz Furfari scored a pair of goals inside the final five minutes of the first half create a two-goal cushion for the Warriors, a lead they never let up. Nicole Connor opened the scoring before Needham tied the game. In the second half, Raegan Simeone and Christina Hathaway added to the Warriors’ lead. Furfari also had a pair of assists in the win, Hathaway had one and Alli Meehan finished with two helpers. #2 King Philip advances to play #6 Duxbury in the D1 South Semifinal on Wednesday, at 7:00 at home. Duxbury beat #2 Walpole, 3-2, in overtime.
#4 Canton, 3 vs. #12 Barnstable, 2 – Final – Canton scored a pair of goals in the first ten minutes, but needed a late goal to break the tie and earn the win over Barnstable. Andrea McNeil put the Bulldogs up 1-0 and Maria Femia doubled the lead at the ten minute mark. Barnstable cut the deficit to one just before half, and then tied the game with 12 minutes to play. Sophomore Kaitlyn Goyetch scored the game-winner for the second straight game, converting a corner with five minutes to play. #4 Canton advances to play #1 Somerset-Berkley in the D1 South Semifinal on Wednesday, with a time to be announced.

#4 North Attleboro, 3 vs. #5 Walpole, 1 – Final – North Attleboro opened its tournament run with a 25-10, 25-19, 23-25, 25-16 win over visiting Walpole. Amelia Murphy had a terrific night at the net, putting down 17 kills along with two blocks, plus three aces. Kezia De La Cruz added 12 kills and six aces and middle Tori Melanson had eight kills, six blocks and three aces in the win. #4 North Attleboro advances to play at #1 Barnstable on Wednesday, at 6:00.

Franklin, 7 @ Mansfield, 2 – Final – Junior Cassi Ronan registered four points to help the Panthers roll to a big win on the road. Ronan scored a pair of goals and set up two more in a win that qualified Franklin for the state tournament. Freshman Victoria Quinn netted a pair of goals while sophomores Erin Walsh and Olivia Mazukina and freshman Amanda Lewandowski each scored once.
Taunton, 0 @ King Philip, 4 – Final – King Philip got off to a strong start, scoring a pair of goals inside the first five and a half minutes to take down Taunton. Dana Truini, Raegan Simeone (assisted by Caroline Klim) and Liz Furfari (assisted by Christina Hathaway) scored in the first half to help the Warriors build a 3-0 lead at the break. Nicole Connor scored with just over 12 minutes left to ice the game.

Attleboro, 1 @ Mansfield, 3 – Final – Mansfield moved one step closer to an MIAA tournament berth with a win over visiting Attleboro (25-13, 25-16, 25-27, 25-20). The Hornets need to win two of their last three games to qualify. Meg Hill (16 kills) and Julia Harrison (15 kills, 12 service points) paced the offense while Greenly Kelly chipped in with seven kills for Mansfield.
King Philip, 2 vs. Needham, 3 – Final – In a battle of two top teams, and in what could be a playoff preview, KP fell just short (25-21, 24-26, 25-21, 24-26, 15-17) to visiting Needham. Sydney Phillips had a standout performance, notching 29 kills and nine digs while Michaela Palumbo added 10 kills, nine service points, and three aces. Grace Ely chipped in with six kills, Julianne Rando had 11 digs and five service points and Kat Kmetz added 14 service points, five digs, two kills and two aces.
Oliver Ames, 3 vs. Brockton, 2 – Final – Oliver Ames survived a marathon five-game thriller with visiting Brockton, prevailing 25-23, 24-26, 25-13, 19-25, 15-8. OAHS head coach Chelsea Cunningham said senior Emma Petrillo (12 kills, three aces, two blocks) was the player of the game. “She dominated the game offensively and executed at crucial moments in the game,” Cunningham said. Sophomore Allie Kemp added 22 assists and five aces, senior Kayla Raymond had 12 kills and three blocks, and junior Sadie Homer finished with 15 digs and a pair of aces.

Milford, 3 @ Canton, 4 – Final – Canton junior Paul Cocoran netted his second hat trick of the season, including a pair of goals in the second half that helped the Bulldogs build a three-goal lead. Milford opened the scoring when freshman Leo Coelho netted his first career goal but Canton responded with a pair of goals in a two-minute span. Corcoran tied the game in the 21st minute and Simon Cruz gave Canton the lead in the 22nd minute. Cocoran added goals in the 56th and 64th minutes to go up 4-1. Milford sophomore Jordan Borges made it a two-goal game in the 75th minute and sophomore Walisson de Oliveira brought the Hawks within one in the final minute.
King Philip, 5 vs. Bishop Feehan, 1 – Final – King Philip scored four goals in the second half to break a tie game and pick up two points at home. Tyler Mann put the Warriors up 1-0 on an unassisted tally in the ninth minute. Feehan tied the game midway through the first half. Mann completed his hat trick with a pair of goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half, making it 2-1 in the 44th minute on a feed from Anthony Bozza and 3-1 just two minutes later on a feed from Connor Mullins. Thomas Lugten scored a pair of goals in a five-minute span, with junior Justin Willson and freshman Evan McEvoy picking up assists.
Stoughton, 2 vs. Norwood, 1 – Final – Tyler Melo and Fabio Ponce de Leon each had a goal for the Black Knights to earn Stoughton its first win of the season.

Sharon, 0 @ Foxboro, 9 – Final – Sophia DiCenso led the way for the Warriors with a hat trick. Jackie Brion, Molly Murphy, Lily Daly, Annie Murphy, Lindsey Morris, and Lily Behn also scored for Foxboro.
Oliver Ames, 0 @ Franklin, 2 – Final – Franklin junior Anna Jardine had a strong game in net, making nine saves, including a gutsy slide tackle and a beautiful diving save – both in the second half – to help the Panthers preserve the win. Juniors Cassi Ronan and Regan Paterson each scored once in the first half for Franklin. FHS head coach Lisa Cropper said junior Annie Walsh played an outstanding game, creating numerous offensive chances and stopping OA from mounting an attack. Oliver Ames goalie Caitlin Grant made eight saves in net.
Mansfield, 1 @ Taunton, 3 – Final – Senior Kya Enos netted a hat trick for the second straight game and junior goalie Emma Sheehan made 12 saves to help the Tigers earn an upset over visiting Taunton. Diana Brens had two assists while Liana Duarte had one helper in the win. THS coach Mike Fox praised the defensive play of Jillian Pagliuca, Jocelyn Pagliuca, and Kathryn Robinson.
Milford, 1 @ Stoughton, 2 – Final – Stoughton’s Haley Apotheker scored a pair of goals to help the Black Knights defend its home field and earn a win over visiting Milford.

Canton, 0 @ Milford, 3 – Final – Milford picked up a key division win at home, taking it 25-19, 25-18, 25-23. For Canton, Taylor Harris and Hannah Jerrier combined for 14 kills while head coach Pat Cawley praised the defensive play of Julia Minichiello.
Foxboro, 0 @ Stoughton, 3 – Final – Stoughton earned a dominant win in the first game but had to orchestrate a comeback to win a close second game. The Black Knights completed the sweep with a convincing third game win, 25-5, 26-24, 25-10. Val Whalen took control in the first set, rattling off 16 service points, including six aces. Sophomore Mykiah Simpson paced the offense with five kills in the opening set. Whalen finished 16 kills, 18 digs, and eight aces while junior Molly Turner added 21 assists and six aces. Seniors Vicky Ramos and Haley Stone played well defensively for the Knights.
Franklin, 3 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Franklin mounted a late comeback in the second half to help sweep the Tigers on the road. Junior Lauren McGrath (four aces) put the Franklin offense in motion with 30 assists while Meaghan Maguire had 10 kills and two blocks and Lauren Lockhart chipped in with eight kills. Taunton, 179 @ Attleboro, 174 – Final – Attleboro’s Kyle DelSignore eached match medalst honors with a low-round of 39 and was the difference between the Bombardiers and Tigers. The two teams matched on cards two, three and four – meaning DelSignore’s five-stroke win on the top card was the difference.
Canton, 157 @ Mansfield, 173 – Final – Canton sophomore Chris Lavoie fired a 36 at Norton Country Club, earning match medalist honors for the first time and helping the Bulldogs stay unbeaten. Danny Powers added a 39 for the Bulldogs while Brendan Loomer led Manfield with a round of 40.
Milford, 191 @ Foxboro, 178 – Final
Stoughton, 174 @ Oliver Ames, 139 – Final – Oliver Ames senior Mark Bissonette birdied the first two holes of play, finishing with a low-round of 33 to earn medalist honors. Ryan McGarry and Eric LeBlanc added rounds of 35 while Matt Kelley fired a 36 at Pine Oaks.

Canton, 3 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – Final – Oliver Ames’ Liz Nuss opened the scoring on an assist from Hannah Stryke, but Canton scored three unanswered goals to earn the win. The Bulldogs tied the game before halftime and then added two in the second half.
Sharon, 0 @ Franklin, 12 – Final – Franklin freshman Natalie Stott scored her first two career goals to help the Panthers pick up a win. Senior Bella Trask notched her first points of the season with two assists and junior Emma Diphillipo recorded her first assist of the year.
North Attleboro, 0 @ King Philip, 4 – Final – King Philip scored a pair of goals in the first three minutes of the second half, turning a one-goal game into a big lead. Christina Hathaway opened the scoring on a beautiful reverse sweep on a feed from Alli Meehan to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead at halftime. Meehan, Hathaway and Liz Furfari all scored in the second half to help King Philip pick up the win.

Stoughton, 0 @ Taunton, 3 – Final – Taunton senior Kya Enos scored a hat trick, accounting for all of the scoring in the Tigers’ 3-0 win over visiting Stoughton. Enos opened the scoring just over seven minutes into the game and gave Taunton a 2-0 lead with just over 12 minutes left in the first half. Enos completed the hat trick with just under nine minutes to play.

King Philip, 3 @ Walpole, 0 – Final – King Philip avenged its lone loss of the reason, beating Walpole 26-24, 25-22, 25-22. Walpole beat the Warriors in the opening game of the season but since then, KP has rattled off 13 straight wins. Sydney Phillips paced the offense with 22 kills and eight digs, Michaela Palumbo added eight kills, and Julianne Rando finished with five digs and 10 service points, including two aces. Kat Kmetz added 11 service points and two kills and Olivia Atkins chipped in with eight digs.
Mansfield, 0 @ Brockton, 3 – Final – The Hornets fall on the road to Brockton, dropping a 23-25, 23-25, 18-25 decision to the Boxers. Meg Hill had nine kills, Julia Harrison had eight digs, and Katie Dardinski and Jolie O’Neil each finished with 10 service points.
Stoughton, 3 vs. Cardinal Spellman, 0 – Final – Stoughton’s Val Whalen paced the Black Knights’ offense with 14 kills while junior Molly Turner played well all around with 10 assists, 13 digs and five aces.

Stoughton, 184 @ Canton, 154 – Final – Canton clinched its first ever Davenport division title, and its first league title since 2002, with a win over visiting Stoughton. Bubba McNeice’s career-low round of 38 earned co-medalist honors with Joey Vaughan. Jack Goyetch, Chris Lavoie, Danny Powers and Thomas Singleton all shot 39 for the Bulldogs. Stoughton’s Brendan Campbell had a team-low round of 40.
Mansfield, 169 @ Oliver Ames, 148 – Final – Oliver Ames junior Nolan Donze earned match medalist honors, carding a low-round of 35 to lead the Tigers past visiting Mansfield. With the win, OA clinches its second straight Kelley-Rex title and sixth straight league crown. Mark Bissonette carded a round of 37 while Tate Hadges and Ryan McGarry each fired a 38.

Mansfield, 3 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final – Mansfield senior Cullin Anastasia netted a pair of second half goals as the Hornets secured a shutout win on the road. Jackson Murphy opened the scoring for the visitors, converting a chance from Sean Lanzillo to take a 1-0 lead into the break. Murphy then set up Anastasia for Mansfield’s second goal and John Cooney recorded to assist on the final tally. Nick Ferraz recorded his third shutout in net.
Canton, 0 @ Milford, 2 – Final – Milford junior Anthony Salvador scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal in the first half, and then drew a penalty late in the second half to help the Hawks record a shutout win over visiting Canton. Wallison De Oliveira converted the penalty kick to seal the win. MHS head coach Brian Edwards praised the defensive efforts of senior Jacob Balzarini.

Taunton, 1 @ Franklin, 4 – Final – One senior and three juniors each recorded a goal for Franklin in the Panthers’ win at home. Senior Liam Kapples along with juniors Nitin Chaudhury, Nasir Brahimi and Sam Molloy each found the back of the net once for FHS.
King Philip, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 4 – Final – Oliver Ames scored a pair of goals in each half in a key division win over visiting King Philip. Senior Michael Nikiciuk opened the scoring while classmate Brandin Osborne made it 2-0 by half. Mason Galbato converted a flick from Nathaniel Cardoza off a long throw in by Chris Lawrence to make it 3-0 and minutes later, senior Matt Alvarado made it 4-0. In the final minute of play, KP junior John Cullen played a through ball to freshman Camron Lawrence who played across to freshman Ajae Olsen for the finish.
North Attleboro, 2 @ Sharon, 1 – Final – North Attleboro took the lead inside the first 10 minutes and netted the game-winner midway through the second half to pick up a key division win on the road. Sophomore Dylan Corrigan opened the scoring in the sixth minute, converting a long goal kick from Zach Matracia. Gabe Pinhancos doubled the lead in the 63rd minute on a feed from Ryan Pasquel. Sharon sophomore Michael Baur converted a penalty kick in the 76th minute. NA goalie Brendan Matracia made three key saves down the stretch for the Rocketeers.
Girls Soccer
Attleboro, 1 @ Mansfield, 4 – Final – Stephanie Kemp scored a brace and Cassidy McMahon had a goal and an assist for the Hornets, who stayed perfect on the season. Attleboro battled throughout and cut the Mansfield lead to 2-1 midway through the second half on a goal by Julia Reyes, assisted by Alison Wall. As the Bombardiers pushed forward for an equalizer, Mansfield scored two more to seal the two points. Madison Brown made 12 saves in the loss and, according to coach Steve Santos, Jordyn Forte and Julia Hayes played well on defense.
Canton, 3 @ Milford, 3 – Final – Milford got a pair of goals from Juliana France and one from Maggie Boyle to earn a draw against the Bulldogs. According to Milford coach Jay Mastaj, Ashleigh Starks also played well for the Hawks.
Foxboro, 4 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – Stoughton took the lead on the Warriors with a goal by Nicole Weir, assisted by Gabbi Diaz. Foxboro responded with four straight goals to get the win, including a pair of goals from Lily Sykes. Katelyn Mollica scored the eventual game-winner before halftime and Jordyn Collins scored early in the second half, before Sykes wrapped up the win with a shot from distance. According to Stoughton coach Tara Daniels, outside backs Cintia Khouzami and Sarina Hutchinson had “outstanding” games.

Oliver Ames, 2 @ King Philip, 1 – Final – Chloe Layne scored a penalty kick to give the Warriors the lead in the fifth minute, but OA bounced back with two goals before halftime to hand KP its first loss of the season. Abby Hodges scored off an Sophia Cox corner kick to tie the game and Erin Holmberg bent a corner directly in for what turned out to be the game-winner. Regan Benton made 14 saves for the Tigers and drew praise from KP coach Gary Pichel, who said that Benton was “clearly one of the best goalkeepers in the state.” OA coach Britt Sellmayer said that Maeve Hogan played a strong game in the OA defense.
Sharon, 0 @ North Attleboro, 5 – Final – It took North only 58 seconds to jump into the lead with a goal from Kayla Pasquel, assisted by Ashlyn Gaulin. Aine Mendonca made it two off another Gaulin assist and Leah Jette made it 3-0 off a Pasquel assist. Gaulin added a pair of second half goals, one off a Haley Guertin shot and the second on an assist by Mackenzie Rosenberg. Emma Noreck had the clean sheet for North and head coach Bill Wallace praised Aly Blaisdell, Felicity Monfils, Britta MacDonald, Haley Ferrin and Emma Gaulin for strong play on both ends of the field.

Mansfield, 6 @ Attleboro, 1 – Final – Senior Ann Maher scored a hat trick to pace Mansfield to a win on the road. Heather D’Ambra, Brooke Downey and Haley Crawford each tallied once for the Hornets in the win.

King Philip, 5 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – Final – King Philip’s Christina Hathaway scored and had an assist in the first half, helping the Warriors build a 2-0 lead at the break. Hathaway scored on a feed from Nicole Conor and then set up a goal by Liz Furfari. Furfari made it 3-0 of a pass from Alli Meehan and then Meehan netted the final two goals, one set up by Olivia Kulesza. Abby Campbell turned away three shots in net.

Mansfield, 3 @ Attleboro, 1 – Final – After splitting the first two sets, Mansfield rattled off two wins to earn the victory on the road (25-23, 19-25, 25-16, 25-16). Milford, 1 @ Canton, 3 – Final – Milford earned a win in the first set but Canton rallied back to win the next three and take the victory (21-25, 25-12, 26-24, 29-27). Nicole Brown ran the Canton’s offense with 37 assists, Taylor Harris had 13 kills and four aces and Rose Hazam and Erin Devine combined for 14 kills. CHS head coach Pat Cawley said Theresa O’Brien provided a spark off the bench with 14 service points.
Stoughton, 3 @ Foxboro, 0 – Final – The Black Knights stretched their unbeaten streak to six wins to start the season with a 25-14, 25-12, 25-14 sweep of Foxboro. SHS junior Hanna Holden had a strong game with 14 assists and 9 digs while senior Haley Stone and junior Mia Bennett were solid in the back row combining for over 30 digs.Â
Taunton, 0 @ Franklin, 3 – Final – Franklin’s Ellie Wisniewski had a strong well-rounded game, leading the Panthers to a sweep at home. Wisniewski had seven kills, five aces and two digs while Meaghan Maguire added eight kills and Lauren McGrath finished with 24 assists, three digs, three aces and two kills.
Sharon, 0 @ North Attleboro, 3 – Final – North Attleboro survived a late push from visiting Sharon to complete a sweep (25-11, 25-12, 26-24) and move to 5-0. Senior Kezia De La Cruz had 13 kills and two assists, senior Amelia Murphy added nine kills and senior Leah Marceau paced the offense with 20 assists and four aces.
King Philip, 3 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – Final – King Philip went on the road to pick up a sweep of the Tigers, 25-19, 25-11, 25-12. Sydney Phillips led the offensive charge with 11 kills and three digs while Michaela Palumbo added six kills, three aces and 11 service points. Kat Kmetz chipped in with five aces, two kills, one dig and 16 service points.
