Mansfield, 0 @ Canton, 3 – Final – Canton scored once in the first half and twice in the second and the Bulldogs secured their biggest win of the season, knocking Mansfield from the ranks of the unbeaten. Jake McCabe scored the opening goal (from Erik Valdovinos) and the final goal while Jacob Crugnale added one in-between. Giovanni Ruggeri earned the shutout in net for Canton.

Mansfield, 1 @ North Attleboro, 3 – Final

Milford, 0 @ Taunton, 6 – Final – Taunton built a three-goal lead over the first three quarters and then put the game away with three more in the fourth quarter. Kylie Thorpe and Jasmine Lucier each scored a pair of goals for the Tigers while Ashley Amaro and Kaysie DeMoura each found the back of the net once. Braeley MacDonald and Sarah Clark each added an assist in the win while Em Gannon posted the shutout in net.

Volleyball
Canton, 2 @ Westwood, 3 – Final – In a match that went down to the wire, Westwood prevailed with a 16-14 win in the final set to secure a 3-2 victory. Jess Wright led the offense with 15 kills and 18 digs, Talya DeGraw added 10 kills and 21 digs while Taylor Reynolds had a strong all-around showing with 35 assists, 15 digs, and two aces.

Golf
Attleboro, 167 @ Taunton, 179 – Final – Leo Lombardo and Brendan Raymond shared match medalist honors, leading the Bombardiers to a win on the road over Taunton. Both Lombardo and Raymond finished at 38 for the day while Parker Sackett shot a 44 and Matt Harbour finished at 47 for the day. Taunton’s Jack Gobin and Alex Dias each shot 44, Sean Murphy added a 45, and Loran Corcoran came in with a 46.

King Philip, 166 @ Mansfield, 158 – Final – Mansfield picked up its biggest win of the season, knocking off previously undefeated King Philip to keep its division title hopes alive. Four seniors scored in the win with Cian Goulet firing a team-low round of 37. Hunter Tang added a 39 in the win while both Ryan Doherty and Jordan Tavares came in at 41.

Oliver Ames, 159 @ Canton, 142 – Final – Canton head coach Mike Barucci earned his 100th career win and the Bulldogs inched close to another division title with a win against visiting Oliver Ames. Sophomore Mekhala Costello fired an impressive two-under par round of 32 to earn match medalist honors in the win. Mike Leonetti added a 36 in the win while both Will Gefteas and Conor Hunter came into the clubhouse at 37 on the day. Sophomore Sean Kearns led the way for OA with a 37, Daniel Paul added a 40, and both Jo Jo Gaultier and Jake Kaplan shot a 41.

Foxboro, 167 @ Sharon, 160 – Final – Nathan Daley fired a bogey-free round on his way to match medalist honors and the Eagles took down Foxboro at The Cape Club of Sharon. Daley finished with a two-under round of 34, Eric Carter chipped in with a 39, Owen Kevorkian finished at 43, and both Rosie Leonard and James Spoto shot a 44. Jack Watts led the way for the Warriors with a 40, Louie Carangelo added a 41, and Reese Curreri added a 42 for Foxboro.

Stoughton, 185 @ Milford, 169 – Final – Milford split its tri-match, falling to Hopedale but taking a win over Stoughton. Anthony LaPierre and Nate Lawrence each shot a 41 to lead the way for the Hawks. Anthony Hern had the low score with a round of 40 for Stoughton.

Canton, 5 @ Sharon, 2 – Final – Canton pulled away late to grab a road win. Gabriella Herivaux led the way for the Bulldogs with a brace. Sofia Goclowski scored for Sharon on an assist by Olivia Soby. Amanda Hu also found the back of the net for the Eagles, assisted by Wendy Wooden.

Stoughton, 0 @ Norwood, 3 – Final – Shayla Ford played well in the loss for Stoughton, but couldn’t finish her chances. Mia Rivera also had a decent game in goal for the Black Knights and Sofia Issa continues to impress in the midfield.

Field Hockey
Attleboro, 2 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – Attleboro scored a pair of second half goals to level the match but King Philip sophomore Kelly Holmes scored on a beautiful aerial shot with just over two minutes to play to give the Warriors the win. Sophomore Mara Boldy opened the scoring in the first quarter on an assist from Sydney O’Shea and then Holmes scored to make it 2-0. Emma Briggs cut the deficit in half with a third quarter goal and Sarah McMahon tied it with under six to play before Holmes deposited her shot over everyone and into the far corner off of a penalty corner. Senior defenders Haley Izydorczak and Molly Piller both played outstanding in the win.

Canton, 7 @ Sharon, 0 – Final

Foxboro, 2 @ Oliver Ames, 4 – Final – After trading goals in the first half, Oliver Ames’ Erin Cottam scored twice in the second half to give the Tigers a key division win over Foxboro. Junior Tyla Delamere opened the scoring with her first career goal midway through the first quarter but Jenny Gallagher responded with just over a minute left in the period to make it 1-1. Georgia Costello put the hosts ahead just over a minute into the second but Gallagher answered again just over a minute later to send the teams into the halftime break knotted at 2-2. Cottam got her first goal of the game late in the third off a feed from Lily Gaskill. Cottam tacked on a second one with 9:48 to play to secure the win. Both Gaskill and Ava Costello played well in the midfield while Olivia Stevens had a strong game on defense for the Tigers.

Franklin, 8 @ Milford, 0 – Final – Franklin scored twice in each the first and second quarters and put it out of reach with three more in the third in a win on the road at Milford. Kaitlyn Carney scored four goals and had one assist to pace the offense, getting assists from Sophia Cuneo, Ella Aldred, and Ella Mahoney while Kendall Jones scored twice in the win (one assisted by Haley Wernig). Sydney Rogan tacked on a pair of second quarter goals for the Panthers.

Mansfield, 2 @ Taunton, 2 – Final – Taunton built a two-goal lead in the second half but Mansfield struck for a pair of second half goals, including the gaming one with less than a minute to go to grab a point on the road. Jillian Edmond (from Kaysie DeMoura) broke the deadlock with a goal with just over four minutes to play in the third. DeMoura recorded her second assist by finding Caelen O’Leary early in the fourth quarter. Mansfield scored with 20 seconds left to tie the game. Em Gannon had a big game in net with 16 saves while Jasmine Lucier and Kylie Thorpe both played well.

Attleboro, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – King Philip’s offense was hitting on all cylinders as the Warriors rolled to a 3-0 sweep (25-7, 25-17, 25-9) win at home over the visiting Bombardiers of Attleboro. Middles Sami Shore (11 kills, three blocks) and Emily Sawyer (10 kills) both had strong showings while Ahunna James (seven kills, five digs) played a strong all-around game. Samantha Asprelli added 12 digs and Stella Bailey recorded 18 service points and 26 assists.

Foxboro, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final – Oliver Ames took care of business on Friday evening, knocking off division foe Foxboro in straight sets (25-7, 25-13, 25-18). Junior Courtney Raymond played well in the win with eight kills and two blocks, senior Shannon Willard added 14 assists, senior Hadley Rhodes dished out 12 assists and added four kills, and sophomore Sarah Hilliard recorded 10 kills and five aces.

Canton, 3 @ Sharon, 1 – Final – Canton bounced back from a one-set deficit to take three straight on the road for a 3-1 victory (18-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-15). Sydney Gallery had one of the best performances of her career with 13 kills, seven digs, and three aces to lead the way. Anna Verille anchored the defense for the visitors with 25 digs and added an ace and a kill while Talya DeGraw turned in a strong all-around performance with nine kills, 14 digs, and an ace.

Franklin, 3 @ Milford, 1 – Final – Milford fought hard to avoid the sweep with a win in the third set but Franklin proved to be too much as the Panthers secured a 3-1 (25-16, 25-22, 20-25, 25-16) win over the Hawks. Junior Meghan Linkkila anchored the defense with 15 digs and had a strong showing at the service line with seven aces while sophomore Taylor Lacerda was nearly unstoppable at the net with 19 kills to go along with 11 digs and a pair of aces.

Mansfield, 3 @ Taunton, 1 – Final – After dropping the first set, Mansfield rallied to take three straight, including a vital third set, to knock off Taunton, 3-1 (22-25, 25-20, 26-24, 25-12). Christina Lydon dished out 17 assists in the win with Nicole Santos (six kills), Elyssa Buchanan (six kills), and Julia Kelly (five kills) pacing the offense.

North Attleboro, 201 @ Attleboro, 197 – Final (5 cards) – Attleboro grabbed its sixth win of the season and got back to .500 with its second close win over rival North Attleboro this year. Carter Shelton and Leo Lombardo led the way after both shooting a 37, Brendan Raymond added a 39, and Dane Holske, Parker Sackett, and Jackson Sweeney all came in at 42 for the Bombardiers. Tyson Laviano led the visitors with a medalist round of 36 while Jake Gaskin added a 38.

Mansfield, 161 @ Sharon, 170 – Final – Mansfield finished the week a perfect 4-0, capping it off with a win over Sharon at the Norton Country Club. After a solid showing in his varsity debut, junior Drew Urban had a hole-in-one on the seventh hole to highlight the win. Cian Goulet had a team-low round of 39, Brendan Vokey and Hunter Tang each shot a 40, and Ryan Doherty and Urban both came in with a 42.

Girls Soccer
Oliver Ames, 5 @ Attleboro, 1 – Final – OA rallied from a goal down with five straight scores to open its season with a road win. Jamie Davies had put Attleboro ahead in the ninth minute, off a Kacey Parker assist, but not two minutes later the Tigers equalized on a long-range strike by freshman Emma Gavin. Camryn O’Connor put OA ahead for good and then Kyla Melton scored either side of halftime to put the game out of reach. Alex Lane added the fifth with 15 minutes left to play. Attleboro coach Steve Santos praised his central defenders Olivia Calderone and Emma Stromfors but admitted that the Tigers just had too much on Friday.

Foxboro, 5 vs. Walpole, 2 – Final – After being shut out on Thursday, the Warriors found their offense on Friday to earn a non-league win. Kailee McCabe was the star, as the All-New England selection scored three times and assisted on another. Erin Foley and freshman Neve Taylor also got on the board for Foxboro. Foxboro coach Katie Stalcup also praised the Warriors defense for fighting hard the whole game to keep out the Timberwolves.

Field Hockey
Oliver Ames, 1 @ Attleboro, 3 – Final – Attleboro defended its home turf with a win over the defending Davenport division champions Oliver Ames. Sarah McMahon and Madison Ellis each had a goal and an assist to pace the Bombardier offense. Alyvia Bessette opened the scoring for Attleboro followed by Ellis (unassisted) and McMahon (from Ellis and Olivia Hillman).

Canton, 1 @ Franklin, 5 – Final – Franklin opened the second in style, pumping in a pair of goals in both the second and third quarters, to knock off visiting Canton. Kendall Jones (from Kaitlyn Carney) opened the scoring but Canton’s Erin Lane tied the game just two minutes later. Franklin pulled ahead in the second and never looked back; Carney (unassisted) and Jones (from Shaw Downing) scored three minutes apart to give the Panthers a 3-1 lead at the half. In the third, Downing (unassisted) scored less than a minute in and Payton Crandall (from Carney) notched her first career goal to cap the scoring. Megan Sullivan made six saves to earn the win in net.

North Attleboro, 2 @ Mansfield, 2 – Final – North Attleboro sophomore goalie Gracie Leary made two huge saves inside the final three minutes to help preserve a point for the Rocketeers on the road at Mansfield. Leary totaled nine saves, including her final one with just over a minute to go to get the point. Junior Julia Puccio scored on a corner in the first quarter on a pass from Zoe McKeon. Mansfield got goals from Rose Maher and Dani Cuzzi to take the lead but North’s Caroline Folan scored on a corner with 3:25 to play to level the scoring.

Sharon, 0 @ Milford, 1 – Final – Click here for a Photo Gallery from this game. McKenna Smith was able to squeeze the ball through a scrum in front of goal and across the line midway through the fourth quarter for the game’s lone goal.

Stoughton, 0 @ Taunton, 3 – Final – Taunton opened the new season at home with a shutout win over the visiting Black Knights. Emily Gannon turned away six shots to get the shutout win in net. Ashley Amaro and Kaysie DeMoura both grabbed a goal and an assist in the win while Caelen O’Leary had the first goal of the game. Thalia Nogueria, Kylie Thorpe, and Braeley MacDonald also played well for the Tigers.

Stoughton, 0 @ Taunton, 3 – Final – Taunton grabbed its second win on the young season, this time with a 3-0 sweep (25-8, 25-20, 25-23) win over Stoughton. Mikayla Cleary led the charge with 11 kills, seven aces, and three blocks, Hayley Krockta had five kills, and Angie Lynch had a strong game at the net with three kills and two aces. Danielle Lofgren (six digs), Mia Fernandes, and Jess Foley all set the tone for the Tigers with a strong serve receive.

Golf
Canton, 145 @ North Attleboro, 160 – Final – For the second straight match, all of Canton’s scorers broke the 40 mark, this time to get a key division win at Heather Hills. Canton’s Conor Hunter and Mike Leonetti as well as North Attleboro’s Jake Gaskin all shared medalist honors at 35. Will Gefteas added a 36 for the Dogs while Mekhala Costello and Nate MacDonald each came in with a round of 39 for Canton. Tyson Laviano added a round of 36 for the Big Red.

Sharon, 158 @ Oliver Ames, 155 – Final – Oliver Ames made it three straight wins to start the season, knocking off visiting Sharon at Pine Oaks by three strokes. Jo Jo Gaultier had the low-round for the Tigers at 36 while David Rodgers added a 37 and both Braden Shapiro and Daniel Paul shot a 41. Sharon’s Nate Daly was the match medalist at 35 while Eric Carter chipped in with a 37.

King Philip, 166 @ Franklin, 171 – Final – King Philip emerged from a key division showdown with Franklin with a close win at Franklin Country Club. Pat Reardon was the match medalist, firing a three-over round of 38 while Mike Matheson chipped in with a 42 for the Warriors. For Franklin, Corey Steel shot a 39 while Tyler O’Brien sank a birdie on the seventh hole to help finish with a round of 42.

Franklin, 1 @ King Philip, 1 – Final – Click here for a photo gallery from this game – King Philip took the lead shortly before halftime but Franklin found the equalizer midway through the second half to earn a point on the road. Evan McEvoy set up Alex Leon for a left-footed shot that found the side netting at the far post to put KP up 1-0 in the 38th minute. Franklin’s Donny Tappin made a nice run down the left side, setting up Lucas Moura for the equalizer in the 61st minute.

Mansfield, 1 vs. Norton, 4 – Final

Field Hockey
Attleboro, 1 @ Mansfield, 3 – Final – Mansfield’s Abby Varricchione scored a pair of goals as the Hornets grabbed their first win of the season with a 3-1 decision over Attleboro. Grace Danehy also scored for the Hornets in the win. Attleboro’s Ava Haggerty made 24 saves while Anna Beck scored for the Bombardiers.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Taunton, 2 – Final – Taunton’s Emily Gannon made five saves to record her first career shutout in a win over visiting Oliver Ames. Kaysie DeMoura scored to give Taunton a 1-0 lead while Alana Tavares added a second tally for the host Tigers.

North Attleboro, 4 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – Grace Cole scored a hat trick to lead North Attleboro to a win on the road over Stoughton. Emma Bailey also scored for the Rocketeers while Abby Massarelli scored the Stoughton goal.

Milford, 0 @ Sharon, 0 – Final

Volleyball
Attleboro, 0 @ Mansfield, 3 – Final – Mansfield defended home court with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-14) win over visiting Attleboro. Julia Kelly had seven kills along with 20 service points. Julia Buiser and Steph Walker also had strong days at the serving line, recording 12 service points apiece.

Canton, 3 @ Foxboro, 1 – Final – Canton bounced back from dropping the first game to win the next three (23-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-6) to pick up a win on the road. The Warriors had a strong first set but the Bulldogs regrouped to get the win, led by 17 kills from Taylor Harris and 19 assists and seven aces from Olivia Chinsen. Grace Boudreau led Foxboro with 11 digs and seven kills, Maddie O’Brien had six assists, Emma Keefe added six aces and three kills, and Shakirah Ketant finished with three kills and two blocks. Both Pam Nelson (10 digs) and Grace Fortune (seven digs) had strong days defensively for Foxboro.

Franklin, 3 @ King Philip, 2 – Final – King Philip rallied from a two-game deficit to force a fifth set but Franklin came away with a 3-2 decision (29-27, 25-21, 16-25, 21-25, 15-10). Junior Allyson Bonnet-Eymard led the way for the Panthers with 21 kills, seven aces, and 11 digs while Bridget Jackson had a strong showing with 13 kills and four blocks. Emma Chase added eight kills and Jill Benoit finished with 16 digs for Franklin. King Philip’s Catherine Waldeck had 11 kills and five blocks, and Nicole Coughlan chipped in with seven kills, two aces, and two blocks. Emma Brooks (six aces, eight digs) and Lily Carlow (three aces, seven digs) both had strong games defensively and serving for KP.

Milford, 3 @ Sharon, 0 – Final – Milford went on the road and pulled out a tight 3-0 (26-24, 25-23, 25-22) win over Sharon. Allison Corsini had six kills while Julia Riordan added 14 assists and four aces for the Hawks.

North Attleboro, 3 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – North Attleboro’s Haley Gaskin dished out 25 assists to help the Rocketeers pick up a 3-0 (25-11, 25-22, 25-13) win on the road over Stoughton. Kylie Melanson paced the Rocketeers’ offense with 15 kills while Joanna Collins-Bilyeu had a strong day serving with six aces.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Oliver Ames senior Allie Kemp dished out 24 assists, including the 1,000th of her career, to lead the visiting Tigers to a 3-0 (25-9, 25-12, 25-17) win over Taunton. Kemp also had five aces while Alison Barth had 18 digs, Jordan Bosse finished with 10 kills, and Sarah Morley finished with six aces and six digs.

Golf
Canton, 158 @ Milford, 172 – Final – Canton’s Chris Lavoie and Will Gefteas shared medalist honors to lead the Bulldogs to a win. Lavoie and Gefteas (first time being a medalist) both shot 39 while Thomas Singleton and James O’Keeffe each carded a round of 40. Milford’s Tyler Wetherbee had a team-low round of 40.
