Volleyball
King Philip, 3 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final – King Philip fended off a challenge from Attleboro in the opening set and went on two win two more to get a 3-0 win (25-23, 25-17, 25-8) on the road, clinching at least a share of the Kelley-Rex division title before its showdown with Franklin on Thursday. Samantha Asprelli served 11 straight points in the final set to clinch the win while Sami Shore (10 kills), Ahunna James (nine kills), and Emily Sawyer (seven kills) paced the Warrior offense. Julia Leonardo led the way for Attleboro with 10 kills.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Foxboro, 1 – Final – After splitting the first two sets, Oliver Ames won two straight tight sets to close out the win on the road over Foxboro, 3-1 (25-5, 20-25, 25-23, 25-22). Senior Hadley Rhodes dished out 27 assists while Maddie Homer recorded 27 digs for the Tigers. Sophomores Sarah Hilliard (18 kills) and Claire O’Rourke (10 kills, seven aces) paced the offense while junior Megan MacDonald had a strong defensive performance.

Sharon, 0 @ Canton, 3 – Final – Canton honored its seniors and that group led the Bulldogs to a win over visiting Sharon, 3-0 (25-11, 25-13,25-16). All nine seniors contributed to the win led by Syd Gallery with seven kills and a block while Katie Dever, Amaiah Christian and Talya DeGraw each added four kills. Kelly MacDonald, Ella Lewis, Anna Verille and Jess Vo played well on defense. Taylor Reynolds distributed the well, adding 25 assists.

Milford, 0 @ Franklin, 3 – Final – Franklin took care of business against visiting Milford, setting up a league title showdown with King Philip on Thursday. The Panthers won three straight (25-17, 25-20, 25-12) to sweep the Hawks. Taylor Lacerda had a strong showing with eight kills, five digs, and four aces. Franklin will host KP on Thursday and have a chance to earn a share of the division title with a win.

Taunton, 0 @ Mansfield, 3 – Final – Mansfield strengthened its playoff rating with a 3-0 sweep (25-19, 25-20, 25-9) win over visiting Taunton on Senior Night. Calysta Robyn recorded five aces and a kill while Christina Lydon dished out 11 assists for the hosts. Julia Kelly (10 kills) and Nicole Santos (four kills, three aces, two blocks) also played well in the win.

Attleboro, 4 @ King Philip, 1 – Final – King Philip took an early lead but the visitors scored three goals before halftime and added an insurance tally in the second half to get the two points and stay in the Kelley-Rex division title hunt. Trailing 1-0, sophomore Billy Badger scored a pair of goals — the first off an assist from Alex Vecchioli and the second from senior Yianni Skordas. Skordas then extended the lead before halftime off of Vecchioli’s second assist of the season. Attleboro senior Liam Bischoff capped the scoring with a late strike off an assist from junior Esvin Morales.

Canton, 2 @ Sharon, 2 – Final

Oliver Ames, 4 @ Foxboro, 1 – Final – Click here for a photo gallery of this game. – Oliver Ames scored four goals in the last 40 minutes of action to beat Foxboro, and combined with other results from around the league, clinched the Davenport division title outright. It marks the second straight Davenport title, the program’s third straight division crown, and the fourth in the last five seasons for OA. “I think we just started to relax and play our game,” said OA head coach John Barata. “To achieve that with this new group, I’m very happy for him. Our first goal is always qualifying for the the tournament, the next is to win the league and we’ve done those too…the third is to see what we can do in the tournament.” Foxboro took the lead in the 18th minute when senior Matt Angelini was taken down in the area. Angelini deposited the penalty kick low to the left and that 1-0 advantage held up to halftime. But it didn’t hold long into the second half as OA struck less than a minute into the second frame. Michael Haikal’s shot was denied on a good save by Derek Axon but senior Clide Neau, back in his first game after missing a handful of games due to injury, was first to the rebound and touched it over the keeper and into the net. OA doubled the lead 15 minutes later as Haikal blasted a free kick over the wall and in from 25 yards out. Foxboro nearly drew level in the 62nd minute when sophomore John Hollis whipped in a cross that was met by junior Alex Penders, but his header was stopped on a diving save from OA keeper Drew Hall, who was forced into the match due to an injury that happened on the penalty kick. “Drew had a fantastic save, what a save for a freshman,” Barata said. OA tacked two more within a five-minute span; first a free kick from just over midfield from Mathias Taylor was finished off at the near post by freshman Casey Milliken, and then Milliken played Neau in behind and he slotted a low shot past the oncoming keeper to the far stick.

Franklin, 1 @ Milford, 1 – Final – Click here for a photo gallery of this game. – Milford and Franklin scored just a minute apart in the second half as the teams each took a hard-fought point in a physical battle that felt like a playoff game. After a scoreless first half, Milford junior John Borges delivered a terrific cross from the right side and classmate Eduardo Santana made a nice run to the near post and finished to put the hosts ahead in the 44th minute. But Franklin orchestrated an immediate response as senior Jack Moran stuck with the play down the left wing, somehow keeping it in bounds around a pair of defenders before sliding a low cross that was finished at the far post by junior Will Krysak. Franklin’s back four, anchored by senior Aidan Griffth and sophomore Rex Cinelli, played well. Franklin goalie Griffin Tolonen made a point-blank save in the 74th minute while Milford keeper Kevin Gomes did the same in the final three minutes to preserve the draw.

Mansfield, 1 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Mansfield took down Taunton for the second time this season, snapping a six-game winless streak to get back in the win column. Senior Matt Hyland headed in a long throw from classmate Michael Caridi in the 24th minute for the lone tally of the game. Sophomore Ty Duffin earned his first career shutout in his first career start, making 10 saves for the win. Sophomore Derek McGrath filled in at center back for the Hornets and had a terrific showing to help the visitors get the shutout. Caridi, senior Ian Leeds, senior Kevin McCarthy, and junior Brendan Flynn also played well defensively alongside McGrath while Hyland, senior Danny Rowe, and juniors Dan Checkoway and Grady Sullivan all had a good game in the midfield.

Stoughton, 0 @ North Attleboro, 7 – Final – Holding a 1-0 lead at halftime on an own goal, North Attleboro turned it on offensively in the second half with six different goal scorers to run away with a win over the visiting Black Knights. Sophomore Kaden Burns, junior Carson Dameron, senior Connor Ward, senior Patrick McDermott, senior Jaad Ismail (from junior Silas Brooks-Hedstrom), and senior Connor Bearer (from Joe Shepard) all scored (in that order) in the second half for the Rocketeers.

Girls Soccer
King Philip, 2 @ Attleboro, 2 – Final – Attleboro battled back from two goals down at halftime to earn a tie with KP and move the Bombardiers to the brink of tournament qualification. Emily Dunlea started the comeback with a free kick from 18 yards that cut the lead in half. Attleboro tied it on a run by Emily Khang, who fed the ball across to Zoe Johnson-Kiff for the finish. Bombardiers coach Steve Santos praised his team’s defensive effort and goalie Alexis Campbell for timely saves.

Sharon, 3 @ Canton, 4 – Final – Canton jumped out to a 4-1 lead and then held off a Sharon comeback in the second half to get back to .500 on the season. Emily McCabe continued her torrid scoring form with a hat trick and Anne Hoban returned from an injury that has kept her out for the past few weeks, scoring a goal in her final home game. Wendy Wooden got Sharon’s first goal, assisted by Olivia Soby. After the break, the Eagles got a brace from Autumn Simon, both goals set up by Sofia Goclowski. Amber Marcus-Blank played well defensively in the loss.

Milford, 0 @ Franklin, 5 – Final – With the win, and KP’s draw against Attleboro, Franklin clinched the outright Kelley-Rex title. Anna Grasso scored twice to lead the Panthers on senior night. Riley Fitzpatrick and Anya Zub each had a goal and assist, while Stella Regan and Emily Reilly each had assists for the Panthers.

Taunton, 0 @ Mansfield, 3 – Final – Mansfield bounced back with a clean sheet against Taunton. Lyla Nappa, Carly Devine, and Gabby Smith each found the back of the net for the Hornets.

North Attleboro, 7 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – North kept its playoff hopes alive with a big win at Stoughton. Emma Pratt and Steph McKenna each scored a pair of goals to lead the Rocketeers. Caroline Ferrin opened the scoring by finishing off scrum in front of goal and Pratt doubled the lead off a Casey Butanowicz assist. McKenna made it 3-0 and then Pratt closed out the half with her second of the day, assisted by Brooke Sullivan. McKenna got her brace early in the second half, with Ferrin getting the assist, and Charlotte Moynihan added one from the spot. Butanowicz closed out the scoring with her first varsity goal, finishing off a Moynihan corner. Maddie Ferrin stopped a penalty to record the clean sheet. Samantha Tran played well and Abigail Durand made several big stops for the Black Knights.

Field Hockey
Oliver Ames, 1 @ Foxboro, 2 – Final – For Oliver Ames, Georgia Costello had the goal on a penalty stroke while Maddie Proia, Lily Gaskill, and Ava Costello all played well.

Volleyball
Foxboro vs. Westwood, 5:00

King Philip, 3 @ Medway, 0 – Final – King Philip earned its fourth non-league win of the season and improved to 18-0 with a 3-0 sweep (25-16, 25-11, 25-22) on the road at Medway, who entered the game at 14-2. Senior Gianna DiLorenzo had a stellar showing at the service line for the Warriors with 17 service points while Stella Bailey also played well overall with four aces and five digs. Ahunna James (seven kills) and Sami Shore (seven kills, three blocks) both played well at the net.

Oliver Ames, 1 vs. Concord-Carlisle, 4 – Final – Senior Hector Bucio scored the lone goal for the Tigers, set up by freshman Casey Milliken, but OA suffered a setback to Concord Carlisle, who is ranked in the top 10 for Division 1.

Taunton, 3 @ Durfee, 2 – Final – Three different Tigers found the back of the net and Taunton picked up a win over Durfee to get back on track this season. Riley Rebello and Conal Scully each had a goal and an assist — setting one another up with an assist for a goal — while Josh Letourneau (from Delano Costa-Hanlon) added the third to give Taunton two big points, strengthening the Tigers’ chances at the postseason with two games left.

Boys Soccer
Mansfield, 0 @ Franklin, 3 – Final – Franklin scored twice inside a five-minute span in the first half and tacked an important insurance goal just minutes into the second half to get a win over Mansfield, pushing their unbeaten streak to five games. Senior Jack Moran opened the scoring in the 15th minute on a pass from sophomore Sean O’Leary and then junior Ben Costa doubled the advantage in the 20th minute on an assist from classmate Max Tobin. O’Leary extended the lead to 3-0 in the 44th minute, finishing off a chance created by junior Will Krysak.

Milford, 3 vs. Medway, 0 – Final – Sophomore J’remy Chaves scored his first career goal and then added his second to lead Milford to a non-league win over Medway, one of the top rated teams in Division 3. Junior Eduardo Santana put the hosts ahead in the first half on a pass from junior Arthur Tome, a lead the Hawks carried into halftime. Chaves’ first goal came off a pass from junior John Borges while his second was set up by sophomore Nate Dinis.

Thursday’s Schedule & Scoreboard – 10/21/21

Field Hockey
Attleboro, 1 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Madison Ellis scored the lone goal of the game three minutes into the fourth quarter, giving Attleboro a road win over the Tigers and a sweep of the season series (both games finishing 1-0). Olivia Hamilton picked up the assist on the game-winner and Ava Haggerty made eight saves to preserve the shutout. Taunton goalie Em Gannon turned away 10 shots while Kylie Thorpe, Kaysie DeMoura, Thalia Nogueira, and Jasmine Lucier played well for the Tigers.

Canton @ North Attleboro, 6:00

Foxboro, 4 @ Sharon, 0 – Final

Franklin, 6 @ Mansfield, 1 – Final – Franklin scored three goals on either side of halftime to earn a season sweep of the Hornets. Kendall Jones opened the scoring (from Raena Crandall) and Emily Carney and Kaitlyn Carney each scored once in the second quarter to give the visitors a 3-0 lead at the break. Payten Crandall added two goals in the second half, Haley Wernig had a goal and an an assist and Emily Carney added two more helpers.

Milford, 0 @ King Philip, 7 – Final – Seven different players found the back of the net for the Warriors, as they earned their 12th win of the season. Lily Brown opened the scoring with what turned out to be the game-winner eight minutes into the game and senior Veronica Nowakowski wrapped up the scoring with her first career goal in the fourth quarter. Kelly Holmes and Margo Riley each scored once and assisted on two goals apiece, while Sydney O’Shea and Mara Boldy each had a goal and an assist. Makenzie McDevitt also scored for KP and Christina Gifun and Abby MacDonald both had assists.

Oliver Ames, 2 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – Georgia Costello scored in the final second of the first quarter for what turned out to be the game-winner for the Tigers. Erin Cottam assisted on the opener and then doubled the lead with a goal just 30 seconds into the second quarter. Tyla Delamere got the assist on the second goal. The Tigers had 25 penalty corners and put more than 30 shots on goal. Stoughton goalie Melody Casna stood on her head to keep the Black Knights in the game, making 29 saves in a remarkable performance.

Volleyball
Attleboro, 1 @ Taunton, 3 – Final – In a very evenly matched contest, Taunton prevailed with a hard-fought 3-1 win (25-22, 25-23, 23-25, 25-22) over the visiting Bombardiers. For Attleboro, freshman Julia Leonardo recorded 29 kills and 14 digs, Natalie Brojek dished out 34 assists to go along with 13 digs, Lilly Boedeker added 24 serve receptions and 12 digs, and Kate Petrosso recorded four blocks and seven kills.

Foxboro, 1 @ Sharon, 3 – Final

Canton, 3 @ North Attleboro, 0 – Final – Canton swept North Attleboro 26-24, 25-10, 25-20 to stay within one match of division-leading OA. The Bulldogs had a strong match at the net, recording seven blocks as a team and getting good balance in the attack. Taylor Reynolds was a key to the offense with 30 assists, while adding two kills and two aces. Anna Verille continued to be strong on the back row with 19 digs.

Franklin, 3 @ Mansfield, 1 – Final – The Panthers rallied after dropping the first set to remain in the hunt for the league title. Franklin won 20-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-4. Taylor Lacerda had a great all-around performance with two aces, 11 kills, and nine digs. Julia Kelly led the Hornets with 11 kills and added six aces and six digs. Nicole Santos and Elyssa Buchanan (nine digs) each had five kills, Christina Lydon had 13 assists, and Jackie Zelic had 10 digs for Mansfield.

Milford, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – KP maintained its one-match lead on Franklin with a sweep of Milford. The Warriors won 25-8, 25-22, 25-16 and can clinch at least a share of the league title with a win in their next match. Samantha Asprelli had a strong game on the back row and the service line with 10 aces, seven digs, and 21 service points won. Stella Bailey added five aces and 13 service points won and Sofia Reidel added nine digs. Sami Shore led KP at the net with 10 kills and three blocks and Emily Sawyer chipped in with eight kills.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – OA swept Stoughton (25-17, 25-15, 25-17) to move within one win of clinching at least a share of the division title. Kelli Crowley was a standout for the Tigers with her aggressive play at the net. Hadley Rhodes set the OA offense in motion with 22 assists and Maddie Homer was dominant on the back row with 21 digs. Sarah Hilliard led the way with 14 kills and five aces.

Boys Soccer
Taunton, 0 @ Attleboro, 3 – Final – Attleboro turned three services into the area into three goals to pick up a win over visiting Taunton. The Bombardiers opened the scoring just over the midway point of the first half and doubled the advantage just seconds before the break. Sophomore Luke Hagopian’s cross from the right side popped free in the area and classmate Alex Vecchioli was first to it, smashing in a volley from in close. In the 40th minute, Esvin Morales whipped in a free kick from near the corner flag and senior Connor Adema one-timed a shot past the keeper. In the 52nd minute, a free kick from Cashel Stuger was not cleared and senior Liam Bischoff buried the loose ball into the open net to make it 3-0.

North Attleboro, 0 @ Canton, 4 – Final – Canton exploded for three goals in the second half to pull away North Attleboro, snapping the Rocketeers’ three-game win streak while extending their own unbeaten run to seven games. Jacob Crugnale put the hosts ahead in the first half and Jake McCabe scored twice and had an assist in the second half for the Bulldogs. Dylan Baird capped the scoring for Canton.

Sharon, 0 @ Foxboro, 1 – Final – Foxboro scored on a penalty kick midway through the second half to get a win over Sharon. The Warriors built out of the back to earn their chance from the spot. Cam Barreira played Alex Penders near midfield, and the junior played senior Jacob Tessier into space on the right side. Tessier carried the ball forward before sending a service to Matt Angelini, who was taken down right near the spot after taking his first touch. Angelini buried the penalty kick just under the crossbar for the lone goal of the game. Derek Axon recorded the shutout in net for Foxboro.

Franklin, 1 @ Xaverian, 0 – Final – A pair of seniors linked up for the game-winning goal as Franklin swept the season series with Xaverian, pushing their win streak to four straight. Senior Jacob Crisileo set up classmate Jack Moran for the lone goal in the 59th minute.

King Philip, 0 @ Milford, 2 – Final – Milford finally solved King Philip, pumping in a pair of goals inside the final 10 minutes to get two points at home. After over an hour of scoreless play, the Hawks struck on a free kick in the 70th minute. Bill Silva set up Chris Tocci as the Hawks finally broke through for a 1-0 lead. With under two minutes to go, Arthur Tome assisted Eduardo Santana on a goal that made it 2-0. Milford head coach Antonio Pinto praised the effort of his defense, which posted its third straight shutout.

Stoughton, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 10 – Final – After being shutout for the first two times this season, Oliver Ames’ offense exploded for its best output of the season in a win over visiting Stoughton. Senior Hector Bucio recorded a hat trick to pace the offense while freshmen Andrew Martins and Casey Milliken (two assists) each had a brace.Ryan Linhares, Raphael Vache, and John Dobbin each scored once in the win while senior Mathias Taylor had four assists.

Girls Soccer
Attleboro, 3 @ Taunton, 2 – Final – Bethany Alves scored with nine minutes to play to lift Attleboro to a big road win that moves the Bombardiers within two points of clinching a playoff spot with three games to go. Kacey Parker opened the scoring for Attleboro inside the first minute. Jamie Davies added a second on an assist by Emily Dunlea. Taunton hung around, battling back into the game, but with nine minutes on the clock Dunlea played a great through ball to Alves for the game-winner.

Canton, 0 @ North Attleboro, 0 – Final – Canton and North played to a scoreless draw, leaving both teams chasing points in the final week of the season to clinch a playoff spot. North’s defensive unit of Meghan Dowd, Carli Guertin, Summer Doherty, and Charlotte Moynihan played well in front of keeper Maddie Ferrin to earn the clean sheet. Brayden Rice, Autumn Hewitt, and Sophia Capriotti also had good games in midfield, while Caroline Ferrin had a goal taken off the board late in the first half.

Foxboro, 6 @ Sharon, 0 – Final – Jordan Carman scored twice and assisted on two others, powering Foxboro to 13th straight game unbeaten. Neve Taylor also had a brace, while Erin Foley and and Rebecca Foley each scored once. Erin Foley also assisted on three goals and Lindsey Resnick added one helper. Sharon was missing a couple of its starters, but a strong game from Amber Marcus-Blank, who was tasked with marking Kailee McCabe.

Milford, 0 @ King Philip, 2 – Final – KP scored one early in the first half and one late in the second half to secure a win that keeps the Warriors within two points of league-leading Franklin. Ella Pisani got the opener after 11 minutes when she took a pass from Sarah Harper 25 yards from goal and put it into the top right corner. Harper sealed the win in the second half off a pass from Kylie Anderson. Dani Gresham and Eilish McGowen played well in the KP midfield.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – Kyla Melton, Lauren Sellmayer and Mary Cross each scored once as Oliver Ames improved to 12-1-1 on the season. Lucinda Li Cotter recorded a pair of assists while Emily Meyers had the shutout for the Tigers. Shayla Ford played well again for the Black Knights in multiple roles, while Bianca Casna gave Stoughton a good outlet up top and Sophia Lally was strong at the back in her one-on-one battles.

Canton, 4 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – Holding just a one goal lead at halftime, Canton found the back of the net three time after the break to pull away from Stoughton for a win on the road. Senior Lily Carlino put the Bulldogs on the board, a 1-0 advantage that Canton took into half. Senior Payton McDonough, junior Ellie Bohane, and sophomore Payton England each scored in the second to give Canton a 4-0 win.

North Attleboro, 1 @ Foxboro, 4 – Final

Franklin, 7 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Franklin’s Kaitlyn Carney scored a first quarter hat trick and the Panthers never looked back in a win over Taunton. Haley Wernig opened the scoring less than a minute in and Carney followed with three straight before the first 15 minutes expired. That score held over the next two quarters before Ella Mahoney scored in the fourth and Shaw Downing (who also had three assists) scored back-to-back goals to get to 7-0. Payten Crandall had an assist for the Panthers.

Mansfield, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – Three different Warriors scored and King Philip picked up its 11th win of the year with a 3-0 decision at home over Mansfield. Senior captain Molly Piller scored her first career goal off an assist from Kelly Homes while sophomore Mara Boldy (from Holmes) and freshman Makenzie McDevitt (from Sydney O’Shea) also scored for KP.

Sharon, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 5 – Final – Georgia Costello scored a hat trick and Ava Costello had three assists as Oliver Ames picked up a win at home over Sharon. Julia Maclaine opened the scoring in the first quarter (from Ava Costell) and Georgia Costello followed with back-to-back goals, one in the second and one in the third. Erin Cottam (from Georgia Costello) stretched the lead to 4-0 before Georgia Costello completed the hat trick in the fourth. Sharon goalie Natalie Kessler had a very strong performance in net. Also playing well for OA were Lily Gaskill, Lauren Mularczyk, and Emilee Welch.

Canton, 3 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – It was a total team effort from the Bulldogs in a win over neighboring Stoughton, earning a 3-0 (25-13, 25-13, 25-14) sweep of the Black Knights. Jess Wright led Canton with 13 kills and three aces while Amaiah Christian, Fatima Sidibay and Katie Dever were all strong in the middle, combining for 11 kills and a pair of blocks. Sally Hoban was perfect in her serving debut with three aces. Kelly MacDonald, Ella Lewis, Zoe Scibelli and Jess Vo were strong in the backcourt for the Bulldogs.

Franklin, 3 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Franklin made it three straight wins by taking down Taunton, winning all three in straight sets, this time a 25-16, 25-13, 25-23 victory over the Tigers. Sophomore Taylor Lacerda had a strong all-around game with nine kills, nine digs, and three aces for the Panthers. For Taunton, Mikayla Cleary had a strong game with nine kills and a pair of blocks while Dani Lofgren (nine digs), Emily Machado (six digs), and Jess Foley (six digs) anchored the defense.

Mansfield, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – King Philip won its 16th straight match to start the season and kept its spot atop the Kelley-Rex division with a 3-0 sweep (25-19, 25-17, 25-22) of Mansfield. Ahunna James (eight kills), Sami Shore (eight kills, four aces), and Emily Sawyer (six kills) paced the offensive attack for the Warriors. Sofia Riedel (five digs, three aces) and Samantha Asprelli (five digs) anchored the KP defense. For Mansfield, Julia Kelly had five kills and three aces, Nicole Santos added four aces, three kills, and three blocks, and Elyssa Buchanan chipped in with four kills and three digs to lead the offense. Christina Lydon and Izzy Flint each dished out nine assists, Lexie Scibilia finished with three blocks a pair of aces, and a block, and Jackie Zelic notched four digs.

Sharon, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final – A day after rallying for a comeback win over Bridgewater-Raynham, Oliver Ames took care of business in straight sets with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-22, 25-14) over visiting Sharon. Junior Brianna Monteiro had a strong all-around game in the Tigers’ win. Maddie Homer notched 20 digs, Hadley Rhodes finished with 17 kills and five aces, and Shannon Willard chipped in with 10 assists and a pair of aces.

Stoughton, 1 @ Canton, 4 – Final – Canton picked up a key two points and gained some ground in the division title race with a win over Stoughton. Jake McCabe continued his current hot streak with two more goals to pace the offense. Erik Valdovinos and Jacob Crugnale each added one goal in the win while Dylan Baird played well in the midfield. The Bulldogs pushed their unbeaten streak to six games and sit just two points out of the lead in the Davenport.

Foxboro, 0 @ North Attleboro, 1 – Final – North Attleboro grabbed its third straight win and third straight shutout with a win over visiting Foxboro, leapfrogging the Warriors in the standings. Junior Givany Carney headed in a cross from classmate Griffin Rodden in the 55th minute for the lone goal of the game. David Floyd came up with a handful of big stops to preserve the shutout while Brody Rosenberg and Jaad Ismail had solid showings defensively.

Taunton, 0 @ Franklin, 1 – Final – Click here for a photo gallery of this game. – Franklin scored the lone goal of the game just under 15 minutes into the contest to earn a season split with Taunton. Tim O’Keefe served a free kick from the right wing into the area that was redirected before falling to the feet of senior Terry O’Neill, who buried his chance from in close. The Panthers had a handful of good looks in the second half but couldn’t tack on a second goal; Taunton keeper Javonte Fernandes had a pair of terrific stops to help keep the deficit at one.

King Philip, 1 @ Mansfield, 1 – Final – King Philip sophomore Tommy Lomuscio scored the equalizer with just under 10 minutes to go to help the Warriors grab a point on the road against Mansfield. The Hornets had an ideal start when senior Matt Hyland scored just five minutes into the game to give the hosts the lead, finishing off a pass from classmate James Li. Both Connor O’Reilly (King Philip) and Jack Lasbury-Casey (Mansfield) played well in net.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Sharon, 1 – Final – Sharon recorded the upset of the season, snapping OA’s 10-game unbeaten streak and avenging a 6-1 loss from earlier this year. Adam Landstein scored the lone goal of the game, finishing off a pass from James Zhang. Brady Daylor recorded the shutout in net for the Eagles.

Girls Soccer
Milford, 0 @ Attleboro, 3 – Final – Attleboro broke open a scoreless game with three goals in the second half and moved back to .500 on the season. Seven minutes into the second half Jamie Davies was able to break the deadlock, assisted by Bethany Alves. Kacey Parker teed up Kahlan Gray for a 30-yard strike that double the lead. Emily Dunlea sealed the win with Attleboro’s third goal. Emily Khang picked up the assist.

Canton, 6 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – Click here for a Photo Gallery from this game. Canton scored six unanswered goals to pick up a big road win and move a win away from .500 on the season. Emily McCabe had four goals and an assist to power the Bulldogs offensively. Stoughton got off to a good start in the match and grabbed the lead after 12 minutes when Makenzie O’Connor coolly finished from the penalty spot. Canton equalized in the 28th minute when Ava Gilmore found the back of the net from long distance. McCabe broke the deadlock with the last kick of the half, taking a pass from Lauren Shatkin, cutting in on her left foot, and finding the back of the net. McCabe would add three goals in the first 12 minutes of the second half, twice running onto balls in behind the Stoughton back line and tapping in after a cross from the left by Devan Spinale. Fay Gallery wrapped up the scoring in the last minute when she met a McCabe corner at the back post.

North Attleboro, 0 @ Foxboro, 4 – Final – Neve Taylor had a goal and an assist, as Foxboro held off a challenge from North to remain in a first-place tie. Taylor opened the scoring, finishing off a feed from Jordan Carman. Erin Foley made it 2-0 off another Carman assist. Kailee McCabe added a third with a solo run and finish. Lauren Miley wrapped up the scoring with a nice touch on a cross by Taylor.

Franklin, 4 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Stella Regan’s brace powered Franklin to a road win that keeps the Panthers in first place in the Kelley-Rex, two points ahead of Mansfield and KP. Kelly O’Connor and Selene Hammad each scored as well for the Panthers, while Anya Zub had a pair of assists. Jackie O’Neill and Emma Reilly also had helpers in the win, while Rachel Welch and Haylie Aniki split the clean sheet in goal. Franklin coach Jodi Klein praised her team’s composure and ball movement.

Mansfield, 5 @ King Philip, 2 – Final – The Hornets moved into a tie with KP for second place in the Kelley-Rex with a big win on the road. Mansfield had five different goal scorers. Olivia Homsi got the first on an assist from Tarynn Smith, but KP answered back on a penalty from Ella Pisani. Gabby Smith had the second, scoring direct from a corner, but again the Warriors responded as Mikayla Thompson scored unassisted. Alexis O’Keefe put the visitors back in front, assisted by Bridget Hanley and Tarynn Smith scored off a pass from Anna Darlington for her second point of the night to make it 4-2 at the break. Kara Santos closed out the scoring for the Hornets with a second half free kick. Olivia Salisbury made seven saves, including three diving stops, to pick up the win in goal.

Sharon, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 5 – Final – OA pulled away to earn another win and remain tied with Foxboro atop the Davenport, scoring four goals in the second half. Katie Gibson, Lauren Sellmayer, Carly Gibson, Camryn O’Connor and Allison Evin were the goal scorers for OA while Emily Meyers and Kathrine Farley combined for the shutout in goal. Sharon had strong performances in the midfield from Sofia Goclowski and Amber Marcus-Blank. Jordanna Morris played well for the Eagles in defense and Autumn Simon had a good first half in goal and created several scoring opportunities playing up top after the break.

Canton, 2 @ Braintree, 0 – Final

Franklin, 5 @ Algonquin, 2 – Final – Franklin scored three goals in the final quarter to break a tie game and pull away from Algonquin for its 13th win of the season. Algonquin twice took the lead, the first coming in the opening quarter but a goal from Shaw Downing (from Kaitlyn Carney) four minutes later leveled the match, which stayed 1-1 into halftime. Algonquin regained the lead less than a minute into the third but Kendall Jones finished a pass from Carney four minutes later to make it 2-2 heading into the fourth. Haley Wernig put the visitors ahead less than five minutes into the fourth off of Carney’s third assist of the game and then Carney scored herself with just under five minutes to go to make it 4-2.Jones tacked on her second goal of the game two minutes later on a pass from Kaeley Dubriske. Jones also made a pair of huge defensive saves while goalie Megan Sullivan had seven stops.

Taunton, 0 @ New Bedford, 3 – Final – Ashley Amaro and Thalia Nogeira played well in the loss for the Tigers.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Bridgewater-Raynham, 2 – Final – Oliver Ames rallied from a two-set deficit to stun Bridgewater-Raynham, earning a season sweep of the Trojans with a 3-2 win (23-25, 21-25, 25-12, 25-12, 15-9). Sophomore Claire O’Rourke helped rally the Tigers with 24 kills and five aces while classmate Sarah Hilliard added 24 kills and four aces. Junior Maddie Homer recorded 42 digs and Hadley Rhodes dished out 39 assists.

Canton, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – Final – Oliver Ames hit the post and hit the crossbar but couldn’t find the back of the net and the Tigers and Bulldogs of Canton took a point each. Mathias Taylor, Michael Haikal, Hector Bucio and Diego Rivera had great games for the Tigers while Sasha Priajinski earned his eighth shutout of the season in net.

Foxboro, 4 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – Foxboro scored twice in each half to pick up two points on the road over Stoughton. The Warriors scored in quick succession in the first half as AJ Carvalho opened the scoring in the 26th minute and then an own goal (credited to John Hollis) doubled the advantage just two minutes later. In the second half, Cam Barreira set up Alex Penders in the 60th minute for the 3-0 lead and then Barreira capped the scoring with a goal of his own off a feed from Jacob Tessier. Derek Axon notched the shutout in net for Foxboro.

Taunton, 1 @ King Philip, 1 – Final – King Philip and Taunton traded goals, one coming in each half, and the Warriors and Tigers split the two points. Andrew Seropian gave the hosts the lead in the 12th minute, finishing off a pass from Stephen Griffin to make it 1-0. Taunton’s Riley Rebello equalized in the 49th minute, finishing a free kick to the back post to bring the Tigers level.

Milford, 2 @ Mansfield, 0 – Final – Milford used a pair of first half goals to earn two points on the road, splitting the season series with Mansfield. Artur Tome opened the scoring with an assist to Bill Silva. Just minutes later, Eduardo Santana doubled the lead with the assist going to Tome.

Sharon, 0 @ North Attleboro, 3 – Final – The Rocketeers registered a pair of goals before the half hour mark and then put the game away with a third with just 10 minutes to go for a win over Sharon. Quinn Conley earned a penalty for the Rocketeers early in the match and Connor Ward buried the chance from the spot, putting the hosts ahead in the 10th minute. Junior Griffin Rodden doubled the lead in the 28th minute, taking a pass from Givany Carney and finishing. Jaad Ismail’s goal in the 70th minute secured the points for North as the senior finished a corner kick from Ward for a 3-0 lead.

Oliver Ames, 1 @ Canton, 0 – Final – Junior Mary Cross scored the lone goal of the game as Oliver Ames claimed a key two points on the road over Davenport for Canton. Cross finished off a pass from Allison Evin in the first half for the lone goal of the game. Emily Meyers earned the shutout in goal for the Tigers.

Stoughton, 0 @ Foxboro, 7 – Final – Foxboro scored four times in the second half to break the game open and keep itself in a first-place tie with OA. Kailee McCabe and Jordan Carman each recorded four points for the Warriors. McCabe scored three times and added an assist, while Carman found the back of the net once and had a hat trick of assists. Lauren Miley scored a brace and DeAnna Hardiman got one. Shayla Ford had a solid game in defense for the Black Knights and Sivannah Marcy was a good outlet up front.

King Philip, 5 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – A day after she tallied a hat trick and five points, Ella Pisani added two more goals and another assist to lift KP to another road win. The Warriors pulled even on points with Franklin for the league lead, having played one more game. Pisani, Brooke Mullins, and Dani Lomuscio all scored in the first half to put KP comfortably ahead. Morgan Norrman, Eilish McGowen, and Pisani each had assist in the opening half. After the break, Pisani completed her brace and Kylie Menendez added the fifth. Paulina Baczkowski and McGowen assisted on the second half goals.

Mansfield, 2 @ Milford, 0 – Final – Tarynn Smith’s brace lifted the Hornets to a road win at Milford, getting Mansfield back on track and keeping it alive in the league title race. Olivia Salisbury made one stop to earn the clean sheet.

North Attleboro, 3 @ Sharon, 1 – Final – Emma Pratt and Abbie Pratt each scored in the first half to put the Rocketeers in front. Autumn Simon scored early in the second half off a Sofia Goclowski assist to cut the North lead in half, but Emma Pratt added her second of the game to seal the two points. Haley Sinacola assisted on each of Emma Pratt’s goals and Caroline Ferrin had the assist on Abbie Pratt’s. North came close several times in the second half, with Steph McKenna, Autumn Hewitt, and Casey Butanowicz narrowly missing. Brayden Rice played well for the Rocketeers in midfield, while Meaghan Dowd, Summer Doherty, and Charlotte Moynihan had good games at the back. Leah Steinberg and Carmen Leonardi played well defensively for the Eagles.

Canton, 3 @ Fontbonne Academy, 1 – Final – Canton overcame an error-prone opening set to settle in, using a complete team effort to rally for a 3-1 win (23-25, 25-15, 25-19, 25-15) on the road at Fontbonne. Talya DeGraw had an all-around good match for the Bulldogs with six kills and 27 digs, Katie Dever played well in the middle with four kills and two blocks, and Kelly MacDonald played strong in the backcourt and served well.

King Philip, 3 @ Walpole, 0 – Final – KP swept Walpole for the second time this season, winning 25-12, 25-15, 25-10 to stay unbeaten. Sami Shore led the way with 11 kills and four aces, while Ahunna James had eight kills and seven digs, and Emily Sawyer finished with seven kills and three blocks. Sofia Reidel had a strong service game with seven aces and Stella Bailey chipped in with four aces and five digs. Samantha Asprelli had another strong defensive match with eight digs.

Taunton, 3 vs. Durfee, 1 – Final – Taunton jumped out to a two-set advantage and took care of business in the fourth to win the match 3-1 (25-15, 25-15, 23-25, 25-14) after dropping a close third set. Angie Lynch had a great all-around game for the Tigers with eight kills, seven digs, four aces, and a block to lead the way. Mikayla Cleary added five kills, four aces, and four blocks while Anna Abouzeid dished out 18 assists and added three kills and a pair of aces. Dani Lofgren (14 digs and excellent serve receive) and Jess Foley (eight digs, three aces) both played well defensively for Taunton.

Eduardo Santana scored twice and assisted on the middle goal for the Hawks, who pushed their unbeaten streak to seven games. Santana opened the scoring on a pass from Dylan Borr and then set up Artur Tome to give the visitors a 2-0 advantage. Tommy Tommy Lomuscio cut the deficit in half but Santana secured the two points with his second goal, this one assisted by John Borges. Milford head coach Antonio Pinto praised his back line for a strong defensive effort.

King Philip, 8 @ Milford, 0 – Final – Ella Pisani scored three times, all in the opening 17 minutes of the first half, and had five total points as KP rolled to a road win against a shorthanded Milford. Sarah Harper, Paulina Baczkowski, Heidi Lawrence, Eilish McGowen, and Alyssa Legere each scored once for the Warriors and Sara Cullen and Lauren Casper combined for four saves to record the clean sheet. Mikayla Thompson, Kylie Anderson, Addisyn Lamothe-Vaughn, and McGowen all added assists.

Attleboro, 1 @ Franklin, 8 – Final – Franklin exploded for four goals in the first quarter, including a hat trick from Shaw Downing, and never looked back in a win over Attleboro. Downing opened the scoring just over two minutes into the game and then scored twice more before the first quarter expired, assisted by Emily Carney on the second and Kaitlyn Carney on the third. Downing assisted on the other goal in the period, setting up Kaitlyn Carney. Haley Wernig also had a hat trick for the Panthers, scoring once in the second, third, and fourth quarters while also setting Kaitlyn Carney up for a goal.

King Philip, 3 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – King Philip kept its undefeated season going with a 3-0 sweep (25-16, 25-9, 25-10) over Taunton. Emily Sawyer led a balanced offensive attack for the Warriors with 14 kills while Sami Shore added nine kills in the win. Both Liv Carey and Ahunna James (three aces) added five kills in the win while Samantha Asprelli notched eight digs. For Taunton, Mikayla Cleary played well with eight kills, two blocks and an ace, Angie Lynch added four kills, two blocks, and an ace, and Anna Abouzeid had a strong game with 12 assists, two aces, and two kills.

Stoughton, 186 @ Canton, 140 – Final – Canton capped an undefeated season with a big win at home at Blue Hill Country Club, knocking off the visiting Knights of Stoughton, claiming their sixth straight Davenport division title. The Bulldogs had all four of their scorers share medalist honors as Mekhala Costello, Will Gefteas, Conor Hunter, and Mike Leonetti all came in with a 35 to lead the way. Anthony Hern followed a strong showing at Hocks with a 39 for Stoughton while Pat Smith added a 44.

Milford, 170 @ King Philip, 151 – Final – King Philip clinched the Kelley-Rex division title outright with a win over Milford at Wentworth Country Club. Pat Reardon carded a medalist round of 36 to lead the way for the Warriors. Mike Matheson added a 37 while both Tim Hartwell and Jared Curran shot a 39 for KP. Anthony LaPierre had a great round for the Hawks with a team-low round of 37 while Nate Lawrence shot a 39.

Attleboro @ Dighton-Rehoboth, 3:00

Oliver Ames, 169 @ Foxboro, 168 – Final – Foxboro finished the regular season with one of its best wins of the season, taking down visiting Oliver Ames. Matt Fossella led the way for the Warriors with a team-low round of 41, Jack Rounds and Jack Watts each added a 42, and Dylan Pothier came in with a 43. OA sophomore Sean Kearns was the medalist with a round of 40, Jo Jo Gaultier and Jake Kaplan each shot a 42, and Daniel Paul finished with at 45.
