#32 Revere, 1 @ #1 Oliver Ames, 4 – FinalOliver Ames seniors Nick Babanikas and Josh Braz Ferreira each scored a pair of goals to lead the Tigers to a big win at home in the opening round of the Division 2 tournament. Braz Ferreira and Babanikas each scored within the first 25 minutes to set the tone, and both added one more inside the final 30 minutes to close out the win. Braz Ferreira got on the end of a near post service on a corner from classmate Cyrus Hanjani, getting a slight flick to beat the keeper in the 10th minute to give the hosts the lead. A deflected corner from freshman Jack Donahue fell to Babanikas in the 22nd minute and he ripped a side volley into the back of the net to double the lead. In the 58th minute, Babanikas got on the end of a corner from Hanjani, hitting a perfectly timed volley in the air to increase the advantage to 3-0. Revere got on the board in the 72nd minute to make it 3-1 but Braz Ferreira was taken down in the box minutes later and calmly converted a penalty kick to cap the scoring. #1 Oliver Ames will host longtime rival #16 Sharon on Saturday at 5:00.

#26 Agawam, 1 @ #7 King Philip, 0 – Final (PKs)Click here for a Photo Gallery from this match.King Philip and Agawam both had strong defensive efforts as the teams played 100 minutes of soccer without a goal, and the Brownies ended up prevailing 4-2 in penalty kicks. George Blakesley, Ben Cochran, and Jakoby Penabad anchored a strong defensive effort in front of keeper Brent Schneider for the Warriors with the help of center mid Braden Burns. Junior Iago Oliviera hit the post in the 24th minute while senior Marco Amorim came inches away from winning it in double overtime, smacking a shot off the underside of the crossbar in the final minutes.

#20 Doherty, 1 @ #13 Stoughton, 2 – FinalStoughton scored once in each half to knock off visiting Doherty, securing its first postseason win since 2015. Junior center back Philipe Dos Santos opened the scoring just before the half hour mark as his long ball service turned into a goal. Dos Santos smashed a long ball from midfield that took a high bounce just inside the box, and with senior Caio Medina applying some pressure, the ball went over the goalie and bounced into the open net to give the Black Knights the lead. Medina drew a foul just outside the box in the 63rd minute and junior Louis Zeng made Doherty pay, drilling a shot from 20 yards out to the far post to make it 2-0. Doherty pulled one back in the 68th minute but the Knights were able to close it out. #13 Stoughton will travel to #4 Duxbury on Saturday at 3:00 for a Round of 16 game.

#26 Nashoba, 0 @ #7 Oliver Ames, 5 – FinalOliver Ames rolled past Nashoba in the opening round of the Division 2 tournament. Siena Fabrizio scored twice in the first half, finishing a feed from Jolie Diaz in the 20th minute and then capping a terrific team build up seven minutes later. In the second half, Fabrizio completed her hat trick from the penalty spot after Molly Manning was fouled in the box. Nine minutes later, Fabrizio found Brooke Dean for her first varsity goal of the season, and late in the match Emily Lopes set up Jessie Keane to close out the scoring. The OA back line of Kensie Graham, Madeline Barry, Sara Paul, Stella Fabrizio, and goalkeeper Olivia Zaniboni recorded their ninth shutout of the season. #7 Oliver Ames will host #10 Marblehead on Sunday at 4:00 in the Round of 16.

Division 1

#12 Lincoln-Sudbury, 0 @ #5 Franklin, 3 – FinalThere was no revenge for Lincoln-Sudbury, as Franklin rolled to a sweep in the Round of 16 in a rematch of their early September meeting. The Panthers advanced with a 25-18, 25-18, 25-14 win. Makayla Kuykendall (12 kills, 10 digs, 2 aces) and Emerson Delleo (12 kills, 12 digs) paced the Franklin attack. Olivia Alberti added 10 kills and four blocks, and Gianna Laurello chipped in five kills, two aces, and five digs. Phoebe O’Connor ran the offense with 38 assists, while Emma Cunningham (12 digs) and Charlotte Yeulenski (five kills, three blocks) also played well for the Panthers, who await the winner of #4 Andover and #13 Bishop Feehan, who are playing on Thursday.

Division 2
#9 Canton, 3 @ #8 Wakefield, 0 – FinalCanton went on the road and knocked off #8 Wakefield, earning the upset in style with a sweep (25-17, 25-23, 25-22). Soley Rodriguez Martinez had a great all-around match (22 digs, three kills, two assists, two aces) and Erin Bigham filled the stat sheet (23 assists, 14 digs, three kills, three aces) to power the Bulldogs. Chloe Dubuisson led the attack with 14 kills, while Melanie McDonough (12 digs), MJ Robbins (five kills) and Brooke Connor (seven kills, five digs) also played well. #9 Canton will renew acquaintances with Hockomock rival #1 Oliver Ames in the Round of 8 on Saturday at 2:00 in Easton.

Franklin, 51 @ Holy Name, 48 – Final – Franklin battled back and took its first lead inside the final three minutes. Kristen Donaghy had 11 points to lead the Panthers and also had three steals in the final 90 seconds of play. Carli Koffinke scored nine points and both Olivia Adiletto and Aubrie Kutil scored eight points. Kutil scored the final four points for Franklin, which swept the season series with Holy Name.
Hockey
North Attleboro, 7 @ Foxboro, 0 – Final
Franklin, 6 @ Stoughton, 2 – Final – James Aldred, Jake Downie, Joe Corsi, Jack Cameron, Adam Assad and Jeremy Miller each scored for the Panthers. Mark Sheehan and Nick Hardy each had a goal for the Black Knights.
King Philip, 7 @ Milford, 0 – Final
Taunton, 7 @ Durfee, 1 – FinalTaunton qualified for the postseason for the first time since 2007. 
Wrestling
Taunton, 0 @ North Attleboro, 62 – Final – North Attleboro clinched the Kelley-Rex title outright with the win. Mike Burns (106), Jake Direnzo (113) Joe Alexander (120), Steven Abusherry (145) Adam Eberle (160), Jack Donahue (170), Abhishek Ram (195) and Yaseen Abdalla (220) all had pins for the Rocketeers.
