Tappin and Amante each scored once and had an assist while George registered two helpers in the win. Ben Moccia, Terry O’Neill, Jeff Yelle, Trevor O’Neill and Tyler Powderly also scored for the Panthers while Ethan Cain had an assist in the win.

Field Hockey
Attleboro, 3 @ North Attleboro, 2 – FinalAttleboro senior Anna Beck completed her second half hat trick by scoring the go-ahead goal with five minutes left to complete the Bombardiers’ comeback. North Attleboro led 2-0 at halftime but Beck scored three straight goals to give the visitors a win.

King Philip, 0 @ Canton, 3 – FinalClick here for a Photo Gallery from this game. Canton freshman Ellie Bohane scored a pair of second half goals to lead the Bulldogs to a win over visiting King Philip. Meg Aldrich also had a second half tally for the Bulldogs. KP goalie Makenzie Manning made 12 saves while Molly Piller had a strong showing defensively for the Warriors.

Oliver Ames, 1 @ Foxboro, 2 – Final

Franklin, 9 @ Stoughton, 1 – FinalFranklin’s Amanda Lewandowski scored four first half goals to pace the Panthers to a big win on the road. Lewandowski scored in the 6th minute (from Kate O’Rourke), the 16th minute (from Olivia Rondeau), the 25th minute (unassisted) and in the 28th minute (from Rondeau) to give the Panthers a 4-1 lead at the break. Hanna Richardson added two second half goals for the Panthers. Haley Nelson scored an unassisted goal in the first half for Stoughton.

Taunton, 5 @ Sharon, 0 – FinalAlana Tavares scored a pair of goals to lead the Tigers to a win on the road at Sharon. Kennedy Thielker, Braeley MacDonald, and Kylie Thorpe also scored in the win for Taunton while Kat Robinson and Ashley Amaro also played well in the win.

Attleboro, 0 @ North Attleboro, 3 – FinalNorth Attleboro defended home court with a clean 3-0 (25-15, 25-10, 26-24) sweep of their rivals of Attleboro High. Haley Gaskin dished out 20 assists in the win with Kylie Melanson (nine kills) and Joanna Collins-Bilyeu (eight kills) paced the offense. Lauren Antonetti shined on the service line with six aces to clinch the second set.




King Philip, 3 @ Canton, 2 – FinalClick here for a Photo Gallery from this match.King Philip rallied from a 2-1 deficit to win the final two sets, earning a 3-2 (25-21, 16-25, 19-25, 25-21, 15-12) win over Canton. Catherine Waldeck (12 kills, five blocks), Nicole Coughlan (eight kills, two blocks) and Paige Kannally (six blocks) had strong games at the net for the Warriors while Emma Brooks added six aces, three kills, and 13 digs and Kylie Sullivan had five aces and a pair of kills in the win. Taylor Harris paced the Bulldogs with 19 kills, 12 digs, and a pair of aces, and Jackie Morrissey dished out 15 assists and had five aces. Canton coach Pat Cawley said sophomore Taylor Reynolds (12 assists, ace) did a great job filling in for an injury.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Foxboro, 0 – FinalOliver Ames went on the road and picked up a 3-0 (25-14, 25-18, 25-13) win over Foxboro. Senior Jordyn Vella had five kills and three blocks in a strong outing for the Tigers while Jordan Bosse added nine kills and six aces. Senior Allie Kemp dished out 23 assists and classmate Alison Barth notched 21 digs. For Foxboro, Grace Boudreau had 10 kills and 10 digs while Kelsey Treweek added 11 digs.

Canton, 165 @ Foxboro, 180 – FinalCanton’s Chris Lavoie fired a match medalist round of 39 to lead the Bulldogs to a key division win on the road. Conor Hunter added a 40 while Will Gefteas, Mike Leonetti, and Nate MacDonald all shot a 43 in the win. Foxboro’s Noah Hicks had a team-low round of 43 while Matt Lathrop added a 45.

King Philip, 166 @ Franklin, 152 – FinalFranklin’s Pat Dolan shot an even par round of 35 to help the Panthers secure a key win over division rival King Philip. Jack Paterson shot a 38, Jake Blaney added a 39, and Quinten Faro carded a round of 40 for Franklin. King Philip’s Jack Hastry led the Warriors with a 40 while Kayla Schuberth and Nate Ihley each finished with a 42.

Milford, 174 @ Attleboro, 159 – Final

Oliver Ames, 158 @ North Attleboro, 160 – FinalOliver Ames’ Tate Hadges birded on the third and fifth holes to help the Tigers grab a two-stroke win over the Rocketeers. Hadges finished with a 37 on the day. North Attleboro’s Jillian Barend shared medalist honors, also shooting a 37.

Taunton, 193 @ Mansfield, 154 – FinalMansfield juniors Nate Morreale and Brian See shared medalist honors, each shooting a 38, to pace the Hornets past visiting Taunton. Ava Haggis and Ryan Dow also played well, finishing at 39.

Senior Erin Holmberg (assist), senior Abby Hodges, junior Emma Pereira, and sophomore Allison Evin (assists) also scored for Oliver Ames. Seniors Olivia Carroll and Leah Johnson had strong games for the Tigers while sophomores Emily Meyers and Maisy Hakimdin combined for the shutout in net.

North Attleboro, 2 @ Sharon, 0 – FinalNorth scored twice in the second half to break open a scoreless game and pick up the road win. Twelve minutes after the break, Alex Moulson’s shot was deflected to Ari Rice at the far post and she knocked it in for the eventual game-winner. Twelve minutes from full time, North sealed the win when Steph McKenna’s through ball found Olivia Wills, who slotted it past the keeper. Regan Fein earned her third clean sheet of the season for the Rocketeers, while North coach Bill Wallace said Colette Petit, Abi Slaney, Lily Cameron all played inspired for North.

Attleboro, 33 @ Mansfield, 23 – FinalMansfield’s Michael and Owen Mullahy took first and second, respectively, to lead the Hornets to a win over Attleboro in the season opener. Michael Mullahy won the race in 17:07 with Owen finishing just one second later at 17:08. The Hornets also got top five finishes from Benjamin Giffen (fourth, 17:50) and Collin Stevens (fifth, 17:55). Attleboro’s Nathan Seybert was the top finisher for the Bombardiers, taking third overall in 17:32.

Attleboro’s Jack Handy led the Bombardiers with a 39 while Brendan Raymond added a round of 41.

Sharon, 171 @ North Attleboro, 161 – FinalNorth Attleboro junior Sam Gallagher was the lone golfer to shoot under 40 on the day, carding a low-round of 39 to lead the Rocketeers to a win over Sharon. Aidan Weir added a 40 for North while both Jillian Barend and Justin Strom shot 41. Andrew Glaser led the Eagles with a 40, Eric Carter added a 41, and Nathan Daley finished with a 42.

Canton, 1 @ Franklin, 3 – FinalFranklin took the lead just over 10 minutes into the game and added a pair of insurance goals in the final 12 minutes of the game to beat visiting Canton. Freshman Kaitlyn Carney put the Panthers ahead with an unassisted tally in the 11th minute. Carney took a feed from Stephanie Bell and finished, making it 2-0 with just over 10 minutes to go. Amanda Lewandowski gave the Panthers breathing room, scoring with less than eight minutes to go on assists from Carney and Leila Frankina. Canton freshman Ellie Bohane got the Bulldogs on the board with just over two minutes to play. Neilee Hess made three saves in net for the Panthers while Riley O’Connor turned away seven shots for Canton.

Foxboro, 1 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalJaime Notarangelo scored the lone of the goal to give the Warriors the win, the 200th victory for head coach Melissa Bordieri.

Milford, 0 @ King Philip, 4 – FinalKing Philip senior captain Raegan Simeone opened the scoring just over 12 minutes into the game while teammates Sammy Robison and Abby Nixon each recorded two points in the Warriors’ win over Milford. Robison scored twice while Nixon had a goal and an assist in the win. KP coach Lisa Cropper said Charlotte Colella played an outstanding game in her debut at center back. Milford goalie Paige Reisman made 18 saves for the Scarlet Hawks.

The Warriors had an impressive day at the service line as Grace Fortune (seven digs) had 17 service points and six aces and Sara Addeche finished with 12 service points and four aces. Maddie O’Brien dished out 12 assists, Grace Boudreau (11 kills) and Emma Keefe (four kills) paced the offense, and Pam Nelson (eight digs) had a strong day defensively.

Milford, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final King Philip defended home court against Milford with a 3-0 (25-17, 26-24, 25-22) win. Nicole Coughlan (two blocks) and Catherine Waldeck (block) paced the Warriors’ offense with 10 kills apiece while Emma Brooks (seven digs) had a terrific day serving with 10 aces.

Dylan Quinn, Matt Lathrop, and Noah Hicks split medalist honors, each shooting 39 for the Warriors. Anthony Hearn led Stoughton with a low round of 43 while Max Huminik carded a 44.

Milford, 172 @ Oliver Ames, 143 – FinalOliver Ames’ Tate Hadges shot nine pars to finish at an even 34 to lead the Tigers to a win over visiting Milford. Justin Shapiro also had a strong showing for OA with a round of 35.

Sharon, 196 @ Mansfield, 150 – FinalMansfield’s Ryan Dow earned medalist honors for the second straight match, this time carding a low round of 36 to pace the Hornets at home. Brian See shot a one-over 37, Jason See followed right behind with a 38, and Ava Haggis had a strong day with a 39 for Mansfield.

PJ Frost played in Dylan Barreira, who finished on a tight angle to put the visitors ahead 1-0. Bulldogs senior Alejandro Correal, who played goalie for the majority of the game, tied the game with a terrific strike off the underside of the crossbar in the second half.

Milford, 7 @ Sharon, 2 – FinalMilford senior Pedro Araujo scored five goals as the Hawks cruised to a big win on the road. Araujo blocked a clearance in the opening minute and went in to score, finishing with four in the first half as Milford built a 4-1 lead by the break. Leo Coelho (three assists) and Lucas Da Silva (assist) each scored once while Joao Pedro Da Silva and Carlos Terrinha each recorded an assist in the win.

North Attleboro, 3 @ Stoughton, 0 – FinalNorth Attleboro scored twice in the first half and added a late insurance tally to pick up two points on the road at Stoughton. James Sales found Joey Coscarella on a through ball in the seventh minute and Coscarella finished to put the visitors up 1-0. Sales made it 2-0 in the 26th minute, heading in a corner kick from Dylan D’Ercole. Matt Mordini added the third goal in the 75th minute, heading in a cross from Coscarella. Kyle Briere made six saves to get the shutout for North while Andrew Tolfa and Alex Pfeffer had strong games in the midfield for the Rocketeers.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalOliver Ames junior Colin Milliken scored once and had an assist to lead the Tigers to a win on the road over Taunton. Matthew Nikiciuk opened his account for the season while Kevin Louhis added a goal in the win. Keanu Lakay and Josh LaBrosse each recorded an assist while Drew Nickla notched his second shutout of the year.

Girls Soccer
Mansfield, 2 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalOlivia Salisbury made three saves to secure the first clean sheet of her career and Mansfield got goals from Tarynn Smith and Kaylee Smith to earn its first win of the year. Bella Lennon and Kerrin Sears recorded the assists for the Hornets. Attleboro coach Steve Santos said his team played well in the first half and was unable to find transition opportunities and then the Hornets showed their tenacity to keep the Bombardiers off the board.

Foxboro, 6 @ Canton, 0 – FinalFoxboro exploded for four goals in the second half to notch a big win on the road over Canton. Jordyn Collins scored a hat trick to pace the offense while Kailee McCabe, Katelyn Mollica (assist) and Lizzy Davis each scored once for the Warriors. Kendra Wentling and Olivia Nicholson each had an assist in the win.

North got two goals in the second half. Abi Slaney scored the first, assisted by Lily Cameron, and Ari Rice opened her varsity account, assisted by Alex Moulson. Lydia Hershey, Jordan Sullivan, Taylor Ward and Colette Petit headlined the defensive effort for North and Olivia Wells was a constant two-way threat, according to North coach Bill Wallace.

Attleboro, 182 @ Sharon, 183 – FinalJack Handy and Brian Houle both shot 44 to help Attleboro edge Sharon by a stroke on the road. Senior Ben Wood added a 46 for the Bombardiers. Sharon’s Eric Carter was the match medalist with a low score of 43, Andrew Glaser added a 44, and Nathan Daley shot a 45 for the Eagles.

Canton, 157 @ Taunton, 202 – FinalCanton’s James O’Keeffe, Chris Lavoie, and Will Gefteas all carded rounds under 40 as Canton picked up a win over Taunton. O’Keeffe was the match medalist with a round of 38, Lavoie and Gefteas both shot 39, and Thomas Singleton chipped in with a round of 41.

Noah Hicks led Foxboro with a team-low 39, carding six pars on the day. North Attleboro’s Jillian Barend was the match medalist with a low-round of 35, carding birdies on four, eight, and nine for the Rocketeers.

Ally Stanton put the visitors ahead on a shot from outside the area in the 6th minute and Chloe Layne made it 2-0 just before halftime, finishing a cross from Avery Snead. Layne returned the favor, finding Snead just a minute into the second half to make it 3-0. Stanton added her second of the game (from Layne) in the 62nd minute and Brianna Quirk netted her first career goal (from Layne) in the 77th minute. Taylor Butler made five saves for the shutout.

Stoughton, 3 vs. North Quincy, 1 – FinalFreshman Shayla Ford had a debut to remember, scoring a pair of goals in the first half to pace the Black Knights to their first win since 2015. Ford then set up classmate Sabrina Rodrigues for Stoughton’s third goal. Junior Rebeca DeSousa assisted on Ford’s second goal. Head coach Tara Daniels said that the defensive line of Nicole Weir, Nikki Anderson, Emma McSweeny, and Rodrigues were the heart of the game.

Ryan Dow shot a two-over 38 while both Brian See and Nate Morreale carded rounds of 40. Franklin’s Jack Paterson was one-over with a round of 37 while Quinten Faro added a round of 38 for Franklin.

Taunton, 165 @ Attleboro, 157 – FinalThree Bombardiers shot under 40 in the season opener to lead Attleboro to a win over Taunton at Stone-E-Lea. Jack Handy had a team-low round of 37, Brendan Raymond added a round of 38 and Brian Houle finished with a 39.

MIAA D1 South Sectional – Mansfield and King Philip had top 10 finishes at the MIAA D1 South Sectional held at South Shore Country Club in Hingham. The Hornets, fresh off winning the Hockomock League Championships team title last week, had the top team finish among Hock teams, shooting 333 as a team for seventh overall. King Philip (338) tied for eighth and Franklin (364) took 13th overall. Mansfield sophomore Jason See was the top individual among the three Hock teams, shooting a six-over par 78 and will advance to the state tournament. Mansfield sophomore Joseph Gormley and King Philip freshman Michael Matheson each shot 81.

Kate Lindmark and Meghan MacDonald each scored once and Abby Nixon had two assists for KP. Alex Compton scored a second half goal for the Bombardiers.

Franklin, 4 @ Taunton, 2 – FinalTaunton took a 2-0 lead in the first half but Franklin rallied for a pair of late goals to knot the game by halftime and then scored twice in the second half to beat the Tigers. Hannah Blackwell (from Alana Tavares) opened the scoring for Taunton in the third minute and Kathryn Robinson (from Jillian Pagliuca) made it 2-0 in the 24th minute. Franklin’s Victoria Quinn scored twice in the final six minutes of the first half, the first unassisted in the 27th minute and the second set up by Amanda Lewandowski in the 29th minute. In the second half, Cassi Ronan put Franklin up 3-2 on a penalty stroke and Regan Paterson (from Quinn) iced the game with a goal in the final minute. Taunton goalie Emma Sheehan had 14 saves while Franklin goalie Christina Luccini made six stops.

King Philip, 3 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalKing Philip went on the road and notched a 3-0 sweep (25-7, 25-7, 25-16) over Attleboro. Catherine Waldeck (seven kills) and Nicole Coughlan (four kills) paced the Warrior offense while Livvie Atkins chipped in with four aces, three digs, and 15 service points.

Sharon, 1 @ Canton, 3 – FinalIt took four sets but Canton earned at least a share of the Davenport division title with a 3-1 (25-12, 25-15, 9-25, 25-8) win over Sharon. Canton head coach Pat Cawley said all ten of her seniors played very wel. Rose Hazam, Theresa O’Brien, and Nyah Claiborne combined for 17 kills, Ally Irons and Bella Touzos combined for 15 digs, and Bailey Shea finished with five kills and two blocks.

Stoughton, 3 @ Foxboro, 0 – Final

Franklin, 3 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalFranklin continued its strong season with a dominant performance on the road, beating Taunton, 3-0 (25-11, 25-77, 25-9). Peyton Arone had a team-high six kills while Ellie Wisniewski (six aces) and Emma Chase each had five kills. Lauren McGrath finished with 23 assists and four aces.

Milford, 1 @ North Attleboro, 3 – FinalAfter splitting the first two sets, North Attleboro rattled off two straight wins to beat Milford, 3-1 (25-14, 21-25, 25-13, 25-11). For the Rocketeers, Hayley Gaskin had 26 assists and Tatiana Sotelo added 10 aces and 10 kills. Sotelo rattled off a dozen straight service points in the final set to help Big Red clinch the win. North head coach Kim Hallahan said sophomore Joanna Collins-Bilyeu had a great offensive and defensive game for the Rocketeers.

Mansfield, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – FinalOliver Ames continued to add to its win total sweeping Mansfield 3-0 (25-14, 25-13, 25-15) to earn its 12th victory of the year. Sadie Homer paced OA defensively with 35 digs, Grace McCallum added 12 digs, Sarah Litwack finished with 10 assists and for aces, and Allie Kemp totaled 15 assists and three aces. For Mansfield, Olivia McGrath had seven kills, Greenly Kelly added six kills, and Abby Sullivan finished with service points

Golf
Canton, 165 @ Stoughton, 175 – FinalCanton clinched the Davenport title outright with a win on the road at Easton Country Club. Tommy Dimock earned medalist honors for the Bulldogs, shooting a low-round of 37. Chris Lavoie added a 41, Mike Gobbi shot a 43, and Ryan Nolte contributed with a round of 44. Stoughton’s Luke Bainton and Josh Hough led the Black Knights with a 41.

Mansfield, 181 @ Sharon, 166 – FinalCorey Carter and Nathan Daley had strong showings as the Eagles picked up a nice win heading into Hock Championships on Thursday. Carter shot 39 and Daley shot 40 to pace Sharon while Ryan Dow had a team-low round of 42 for Mansfield.

Alex Pfeffer opened the scoring in the 7th minute, one-timing a cross from Andrew Tolfa. Five minutes later, Joe Hilf and Joey Coscarella combined at the top of the area, the latter converting his chance inside the box. Matt Mordini set up the third goal with great hustle, tracking down a ball right on the end line and finding Alvaro Martinez-Calvo at the far post. James Sales added a fourth goal on a rebound in the second half. Nolan Gerome had 21 saves in net for the Black Knights.

Oliver Ames, 4 @ Taunton, 2 – FinalOliver Ames outscored Taunton 3-1 in the second half to earn two points on the road. OA opened the scoring when Jimmy Keane found the back of the net on an assist from Brady deVos. Taunton tied the game just before the break to make it 1-1 heading into the second half. Niko Byron opened his account for the season to put OA ahead, finishing a service from Colin Milliken. Sean Flaherty (assisted by Kevin Louhis) put the visiting Tigers up 3-1 but Taunton cut the deficit to just one with 16 minutes to play. But Milliken iced the game, converting a penalty kick to make it 4-2.

Field Hockey
Attleboro, 4 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – FinalAttleboro scored three goals in the second half to pull away from the Tigers, avenging a shutout loss to the Tigers earlier this season. The Bombardiers led 1-0 at the break before OA tied it early in the second. Anna Beck, Hannah Webster, Emelia Westwater and Emma Briggs each scored once for Attleboro.

Foxboro, 5 @ Milford, 0 – FinalLily Daly and Sophia Lowe each scored twice as the Warriors pulled away from the Scarlet Hawks in the second half. Sophia DiCenso also scored for Foxboro, which led 1-0 at half.

Mansfield, 0 @ Franklin, 5 – FinalFranklin set the tone early, scoring twice in the opening five minutes, in a big 5-0 win over Mansfield. Victoria Quinn had both of the first two goals, the first assisted by Amanda Lewandowski just 86 seconds into the contest. Quinn made it 2-0 on assists from Ashley Reutlinger and Regan Paterson just before the five minute mark. Lewandowski (from Reutlinger) made it 3-0 at the midway point of the first half. Paterson (from Lewandowski) made it 4-0 in the 36th minute and Quinn completed the hat trick with an unassisted tally in the 39th minute. Christina Luccini made nine saves for the shutout and FHS head coach Michelle Hess said Maeve Ledwith had a fantastic game defensively and Cassi Ronan had a great game controlling the field from the center mid position.

King Philip, 4 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalKing Philip scored a pair of goals in each half to earn a shutout win on the road at Taunton. Claire Lawler scored both of KP’s first half tallies, both off assists from Alli Meehan, Lawler opened the scoring in the 7th minute and then made it 2-0 in the 10th minute. Cristina Gifun (assisted by Meehan) struck less than five minutes into the second half to make it 3-0 and Meehan capped the scoring in the 46th minute, converting a pass from Nicole Connor.

Attleboro, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – FinalOliver Ames senior Sadie Homer recorded her 1,000th career dig as the Tigers rolled to a win at home (25-16, 25-19, 25-10). Homer, who had 37 digs, is just the second player in program history to reach the 1,000-point club. Caitlin Cavanaugh had 12 kills, Jordan Bosse added 10 kills, and Grace McCallum chipped in with six aces for OA. Attleboro’s Amanda Kadisveskis had five kills, three blocks, and an ace, Chelsea Calgagni finished with 11 kills and six digs, and Jessica Matheson had 13 digs for the Bombardiers.

For the Hornets, Greenly Kelly had nine kills and eight service points, Sam Sternberg had eight digs and eight service points, and Ashley Santos chipped in with five kills.

King Philip, 3 @ Taunton, 1 – FinalTaunton won a tight second set but King Philip didn’t let the momentum swing to the home team, taking the match 3-1 (25-18, 25-27, 25-10, 25-13). For the Warriors, Catherine Waldeck had 15 kills and a block, Nicole Coughlan added seven kills and two blocks, Shayla Weitzman finished with eight digs and two aces.

Sharon, 1 @ North Attleboro, 3 – FinalAfter splitting the first two sets, North Attleboro earned the win by taking the next two sets against Sharon (25-10, 21-25, 25-14, 25-20). Hayley Gaskin set the offense in motion with 40 assists while Tatiana Sotelo had a career-high 22 kills for the Rocketeers.

Sharon, 175 @ Stoughton, 187 – FinalSharon’s Corey Carter earned medalist honors, shooting a 37 to pace the Eagles to a win over Stoughton at Easton Country Club. Max Brody added a 42 for the Eagles and Nathan Daley carded a round of 45. Josh Hough led the Black Knights with a round of 42.

Oliver Ames, 158 @ Mansfield, 154 – FinalMansfield earned its biggest win of the season by upsetting visiting Oliver Ames. OA’s Nolan Donze had a medalist round of 35 but Mansfield got contributions from Nate Morreale (36), Jason See (37), Joseph Gormley (40) and Ryan Dow (41) to get the win. Thomas Walsh added a round of 39 for the Tigers and Tate Hadges and Sam Becker each shot a 42.
