Franklin, 1 @ Mansfield, 1 – FinalFranklin’s Amanda Lewandowski scored an unassisted goal with just over five minutes left to help the Panthers grab a tie on the road and stay undefeated in league play. Mansfield’s Grace Danehy scored in the first half to put the hosts ahead. Neilee Hess made four saves in for for Franklin.

Taunton, 1 @ King Philip, 2 – FinalKing Philip scored its second goal of the game just before halftime and held on in the second half to earn a win and post its ticket to the postseason. Raegan Simeone put the Warriors ahead before Taunton’s Jocelyn Pagliuca tied the game midway through the first half. Abby Nixon scored with two seconds left in the first half to regain the lead.

Stoughton, 0 @ Canton, 3 – FinalCanton celebrated senior night with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-14, 25-21) sweep over visiting Stoughton. “The seniors played great and led us to victory tonight,” said Canton head coach Pat Cawley. Taylor Harris (16 kills) and Claire Quinn (eight kills) paced the Bulldogs’ offense while Emily Morrison had a strong showing serving with five aces. Katie Lynch added two kills and played great defense in the win. Jenna Larson played well at the net and Rosana Cho (10 service points) had a great game defensively for the Bulldogs.

Milford, 2 @ Foxboro, 3 – FinalFoxboro pulled out a close win in the fifth set to earn a key 3-2 (25-19, 17-25, 25-22, 19-25, 15-13) win over division foe Milford. Maddie O’Brien dished out 34 assists with Grace Boudreau (13 kills) and Shakirah Ketant (nine kills, five blocks) leading the charge at the net. Kelsey Treweek (28 digs) and Pam Nelson (21 digs) shined defensively for the Warriors.

Franklin, 3 @ Mansfield, 1 – FinalMansfield pushed the Panthers to the brink in the fourth set, nearly forcing a fifth game before Franklin earned a 3-1 (19-25, 25-17, 25-17, 30-28) win. Allyson Bonnet-Eymard led the charge offensively for Franklin with 19 kills and nine digs, Sophie Lyons had a strong game with 12 kills and 10 digs, and Bridget Jackson added nine kills and five aces. Sophomore Cailyn Mackintosh continued to play well with 45 assists, seven digs, and three blocks. Mansfield’s Sam Sternburg registered 11 digs and 11 service points while Julia Kelly added nine kills and 13 digs.

Taunton, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – FinalKing Philip bounced back from a league loss on Tuesday with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-10, 25-13) sweep at home over Taunton. Catherine Waldeck had another strong game with 15 kills, Nicole Coughlan added eight kills and two aces, Kiley Sullivan chipped in with eight service points, and Emma Brooks had a strong all-around game with four aces, five digs, and 15 service points.

Stoughton, 0 @ North Attleboro, 5 – FinalNorth Attleboro scored a trio of first half goals and never looked back in a big win over visiting Stoughton. Matt Mordini opened the scoring just beyond the half hour mark, putting the hosts ahead in the 31st minute off of an assist from Jeremy Folan. James Sales grabbed his first of two goals with an unassisted tally in the 39th minute and the Rocketeers deposited another tally just a minute later when Alex Pfeffer scored on a feed from Matt Conley. North added to its lead in the 48th minute when Sales finished a cross from Pfeffer. Eddy Mendoza scored his first career goal in the 74th minute, burying a free kick from 30 yards out.

Girls Soccer
Attleboro, 0 @ Mansfield, 0 – Final

Canton, 1 @ Foxboro, 4 – FinalFoxboro scored late in the first half to level the game and then tallied three unanswered goals in the second half to earn two points. Canton took a 1-0 lead midway through the first but sophomore Kailee McCabe found the equalizer for the Warriors with five minutes left in the first half. Lizzy Davis (from Katelyn Mollica) and Kendra Wentling each found the back of the net while McCabe bagged her second of the game with 11 minutes to go to secure the win.

Milford, 3 @ Sharon, 1 – Final

North Attleboro, 7 @ Stoughton, 1 – FinalNorth scored six unanswered goals to earn a big road win. Lily Cameron scored the first two goals for the Rocketeers, one assisted by Lydia Hershey and the second by Alex Moulson. Caroline Ferrin got her first career goal just before halftime to make it 3-1. After Moulson scored from the penalty spot, following a foul on Steph McKenna, Ferrin got her second career goal off a Moulson assist. Moulson got her brace before Olivia Wills rounded out the scoring off a Cameron helper. Nikki Anderson scored for Stoughton.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Taunton, 1 – FinalOliver Ames converted a penalty kick in the first half to take the lead and found the back of the net twice in the second half to earn a win on the road at Taunton. Abby Hodges scored from the spot to put OA up by the break. Erin Holmberg orchestrated a pair of second half goals, assisting on goals from Leah Johnson and Camryn O’Connor as OA improved to 11-2-2.

King Philip, 0 @ Franklin, 2 – FinalFranklin took the lead just past the 20-minute mark of the first half and doubled its lead early in the second half to pick up a win over visiting King Philip. With the win, the Panthers move within one point of clinching a share and two points from clinching the division crown. Amanda Lewandowski scored in the 21st minute to give the hosts a 1-0 lead. Freshman Kaitlyn Carney finished off a feed from Maeve Ledwith just under four minutes into the second half to make it 2-0. Neilee Hess made three saves in the win. King Philip goalie Makenzie Manning kept the Warriors in the game with 18 saves. Senior Charlotte Colella, junior Alli Beltramini, and sophomore Molly Piller all played well defensively for the Warriors.

Taylor Harris led the way for the Bulldogs with 16 kills and nine digs while Liz Bickett played well with seven kills and 11 digs. Both Talya DeGraw and Kiara Cerruti had strong games at the net for Canton. Despite the loss, Foxboro didn’t had a single service error. Pam Nelson (11 digs, seven service points) and Sara Addeche (two aces, five service points) led the way at the service line for Foxboro. Grace Boudreau had 12 digs, six kills, and two blocks, Shakirah Ketant added two kills and two blocks, and Kelsey Treweek finished with eight digs for the Warriors.

Hayley Gaskin dished out 22 assists in the win with Kylie Melanson (eight kills, seven aces) and Eliza Dion (seven kills) pacing the attack.

Taunton, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final Oliver Ames earned an important win at home, beating Taunton 3-0 (25-13, 25-8, 25-13) to stay just a game back of first place in the division. Sarah Morley impressed at the service line with 23 service points, including 10 aces, while adding 12 digs to pace the host Tigers. Allie Kemp handed out 22 assists, Ryley McNeeley added 10 kills, and Caroline Flynn finished with eight kills for OA.

The win over Sharon gives the Bulldogs the Davenport title outright. Chris Lavoie added a 36 for Canton while Will Gefteas and Conor Hunter each fired a 37 for Canton. Sharon’s Ethan Skelly had a strong showing with a team-low 36. Eric Carter (41), Nathan Daly (42), and Will Frier (43) also scored for the Eagles.

King Philip, 161 @ Canton, 145 – FinalKing Philip senior Kayla Schuberth fired a team-low 39 but the Warriors fell to Canton. Jack Hastry added a round of 40 for the Warriors while Patrick Reardon and Jared Curran each shot 41.

Taunton, 183 @ Foxboro, 170 – FinalFoxboro notched its ninth win of the season, taking down Taunton in a crossover match at Foxboro Country Club. Dylan Quinn shot a team-low 40, carding five pars in the win. Matt Fossella and Luke Davies had three pars apiece and both finished at 43 while Noah Hicks shot a 44. Taunton’s Spencer Andrews was the match medalist with a 39.

Senior Matt Mordini knocked in a cross from Conley in the 79th minute to put North ahead 2-0. Canton sophomore Jacob Crugnale scored his first career goal in the 80th minute.

Milford, 2 @ Bellingham, 0 – FinalMilford’s Paige Reisman posted a shutout to lead the Scarlet Hawks to a win on the road over Bellingham. Reisman made 15 saves to earn the win while Julia Kidman scored one and had an assist. Maddy Carneiro added a goal for the Hawks while Kat Swineford had an assist.

Foxboro, 3 @ Norwood, 0 – FinalFoxboro went on the road and earned a 3-0 (25-22, 25-15, 26-24) sweep over Norton. Maddie O’Brien dished out 12 assists and added five kills, Grace Boudreau finished with 13 kills and four aces, and Shakirah Ketant had a total of seven blocks. Shannon McDonald added five blocks and Sara Addeche chipped in with nine digs. The Warriors are hosting a breast cancer awareness game on October 7th and are asking all fans to wear pink to support the cause.

Franklin, 3 vs. Bishop Feehan, 2 – FinalFranklin rallied from a 2-1 deficit to win the final two sets and earn a 3-2 (21-25, 25-22, 23-25, 25-23, 15-12) win over the Shamrocks. Sophie Lyons had a great game for Franklin with 15 kills while Allyson Bonnet-Eymard also had a strong showing at the net with 16 kills. Cailyn Mackintosh dished out 41 assists and had three aces while Jill Benoit finished with 16 digs.

Jordan Carman, McCabe, and Mollica each had an assist in the win. Mackenzie Manning scored for Stoughton while Brianna Buckley had a strong game in net for the Black Knights.

Erin Quaile opened the scoring midway through the second half and Sydney St. Marie added the second from the spot inside the final 10 minutes. Sophomore Emily Meyers made six saves in net to earn the win while sophomores Caroline Peper and Allison Evin had strong showings for OA.

North Attleboro, 1 @ Franklin, 3 – FinalNorth Attleboro picked up a win in the third set to keep the match going but Franklin finished off the win in the fourth set to grab a 3-1 (25-15, 25-11, 20-25, 25-17) victory on the road. Allyson Bonnet-Eymard had a great game for the Panthers, slamming down 18 kills while sophomore Cailyn Mackintosh dished out 32 assists in the win. Grace Munley had seven kills for North while Eliza Dion added eight digs.

Stoughton, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – FinalKing Philip defended home court with a 3-0 sweep (25-17, 25-2, 25-21) of the visiting Black Knights. Junior Emma Brooks continued to be a force at the service line, registering 13 aces to go along with 10 digs while Catherine Waldeck (13 kills) and Ali McNamara (four kills) paced the Warriors’ offense at the net.

Evan McEvoy set up Alex Leon for a left-footed shot that found the side netting at the far post to put KP up 1-0 in the 38th minute. Franklin’s Donny Tappin made a nice run down the left side, setting up Lucas Moura for the equalizer in the 61st minute.

Grace Boudreau led Foxboro with 11 digs and seven kills, Maddie O’Brien had six assists, Emma Keefe added six aces and three kills, and Shakirah Ketant finished with three kills and two blocks. Both Pam Nelson (10 digs) and Grace Fortune (seven digs) had strong days defensively for Foxboro.

TJ Guy (11 points) and Khristian Conner (eight points) each added five points in the opening quarter while junior Sam Stevens added nine points in the game. The Hornets led 49-25 at halftime and took a 61-46 lead into the final quarter.

Attleboro, 66 @ North Attleboro, 56 – FinalNorth Attleboro whittled an 18-point second half deficit down to seven midway through the fourth quarter but Attleboro slammed the door shut to secure the non-league victory. A free throw from Mason Houle (14 points, four rebounds) midway through the third put the Bombardiers up 46-28 midway through the third but the Rocketeers closed the third with an 8-0 run to stay within striking distance. Five points from North Attleboro’s Nate Gonsalves (12 points) and a free throw from Josh Porter made it 53-46 but Attleboro’s Nick McMahon answered with a traditional three-point play, and then Kevin Velazquez (nine points, five rebounds) and Bryant Ciccio (17 points, six assists) each hit a three to help the Bombarders pull away. Junior Tim Callahan added 11 points and classmate Qualeem Charles had 10 points, 16 rebounds. North Attleboro sophomore George Ladd finished with a career-high 13 points.

Foxboro, 70 vs. Randolph, 67 – Final Foxboro junior Brandon Borde turn a turnaround, fadeaway three-pointer at the buzzer to help the Warriors steal a win over the Blue Devils. The two teams traded turnovers in the final 10 seconds, the Warriors getting the last look off the hands of Borde. Borde (11 rebounds) dominated the game for Foxboro, scoring 13 of his career-high 28 points in the third quarter to keep the Warriors in the game. Sophomore Kevin Gallagher added 12 points Foxboro, which trailed after the first (17-12) and second quarters (31-27) but had a strong second half and headed into the fourth tied 51-51.

Franklin, 61 vs. North Andover, 58 – FinalFranklin junior Chris Edgehill scored on a drive to the basket in the second quarter for his 1,000th carer point, becoming the first male Panther player to reach the plateau since Kyle Gibson in 2011. Edgehill finished with 11 points while senior Will Harvey added seven of his career-high 20 points in the fourth quarter. Jalen Samuels, who was named Harvey Nasuti tournament MVP, scored a team-high 15 points while Steve Karayan added five fourth-quarter points to help the Panthers secure the win.

Mansfield, 57 vs. Lowell, 66 – FinalThe Hornets stayed within striking distance throughout the game but couldn’t close the gap against Lowell (18-3). The Hornets trailed by five at half (26-21) but Lowell was able to increase that advantage to 41-32 heading into the final eight minutes. The Red Raiders made eight of their 11 free throws in a 25-point fourth quarter to ice the game. Senior Tommy Dooling, senior Damani Scott, and sophomore Matt Boen each had 12 points for the Hornets while sophomore TJ Guy finished with 11 points and seven rebounds.

Milford, 63 vs. Malden, 66 – Final (OT)

Oliver Ames, 53 vs. Scituate, 67 – FinalScituate hit seven of its 15 three pointers in the first quarter, racing out to a 25-6 advantage after eight minutes and never looked back. The Sailors shot 50% from deep (7-for-14) to start the game, and finished 15-for-38 from deep to keep the Tigers at bay. After a slow first quarter, Oliver Ames won the final three quarters (47-42), including a strong second half. OA senior Sean O’Brien had a team-high 18 points with Amari Brown and Michael Greene each adding six points.

Sharon, 76 @ Norwood, 66 – FinalSharon had one of its best offensive games to finish the season, scoring over 20 points in three of the four quarters. The Eagles jumped out to a 22-13 lead at the end of the first quarter but saw its lead shrink to just a point, 33-32, by halftime. Norwood kept within striking distance, down 56-52 heading into the fourth but the Eagles put the game to bed with a strong final frame. Senior Sergio Ripley had a carer-high 14 points, senior Greg Persad, junior Aidan Kane, and freshman John Baez each scored 10 points, and junior Andrew Burton finished with nine points.

Girls Basketball
Foxboro, 46 vs. Old Rochester, 36 – FinalClick here for a Photo Gallery from this game. Foxboro reaches the final of the Warrior Classic after winning a defensive struggle with the Bulldogs, who came into Monday’s game tied with the Warriors for the top seed in D2 South. Katelyn Mollica scored 14 points to lead the Warriors and Shakirah Ketant added nine points. Foxboro jumped out to a 25-9 lead at halftime, despite struggling from the field, but Old Rochester battled back in the second half and had the lead down to as few as five points in the fourth quarter but the Warriors hit free throws to seal the victory.

King Philip, 50 @ Westwood, 47 – FinalKing Philip held off Westwood in the consolation game of the Riley Winter Classic. The Warriors took the lead by outscoring the Wolverines 14-9 in the third quarter and held that lead until the end of a game that went back and forth throughout. Shannon O’Connor scored 11 points to lead the Warriors, while Faye Veilleux and Brainna James each scored 10.

Lowell, 42 @ Mansfield, 51 – FinalMansfield jumped out to a lead in the first quarter, built it up to 15 by the end of the third quarter, and held on to it in the fourth quarter to earn the non-league win. Sydney Mulkern caught fire from the three-point line, knocking down six from beyond the arc, and finished with 22 points. Maggie Danehy scored 13 points and nine rebounds and Alicia Hottleman added six, all in the first quarter as the Hornets scored 23 as a team.

Oliver Ames, 1 @ Westwood, 6 – FinalOA senior Colin Bourne scored the lone goal for the Tigers, with Jake Gottwald and Hunter Costello getting assists.

Taunton, 3 @ Middleboro, 2 – FinalTaunton senior Andrew Carter scored on a penalty shot halfway through the third period to lift the Tigers to a win. Taunton scored first but Middleboro seized a 2-1 advantage by the end of the first. Taunton was able to tie the game and then a covered puck in the crease in the third led to Carter’s game-winning goal, his second goal of the game. Ethan Ross also had a goal while Jack Patneaude, Loren Corcoran, and Evan Perreira each finished with an assist. Sean Bunker made 17 saves to get the win.
