Attleboro, 0 @ Sharon, 2 – Final

Canton, 9 vs. Randolph, 0 – Final – Erik Valdovinos scored a hat trick as Canton came away with its best offensive showing of the season with a big win over Randolph. Jorge Nebril, ZaZa Franceour (two assists), Ryan Kovner, and Sam Mayer each scored their first career goals for the Dogs. Jake McCabe and Drew Garrett also scored in the win

King Philip, 1 @ Bridgewater-Raynham, 2 – Final

Stoughton, 1 vs. East Bridgewater, 1 – Final – Click here for a photo gallery of this game. – Stoughton senior Wenderson Silva de Souza scored midway through the second half but the Black Knights had to settle for a draw after an equalizer in the final minute from the visiting Vikings. Silva de Souza headed in a great cross from classmate Rhuan Carvalho to put the Knights ahead in the 64th minute. Sophomore keeper Ben Shirey made a terrific diving save two minutes later to help preserve the lead at the time.

Girls Soccer
King Philip, 0 vs. Hingham, 3 – Final

Milford, 2 vs. Malden Catholic, 1 – Final – Amy Oliveira broke a 1-1 tie midway through the second half to earn the Hawks a win in the regular season finale. Brooke Ferreira opened the scoring for Milford and Kailany Ferreira made 10 saves to help the Hawks close on a high note.

Oliver Ames, 4 @ North Attleboro, 1 – Final – Camryn O’Connor recorded three points as the Tigers went on the road and beat North Attleboro, clinching sole possession of the Hockomock League’s Davenport division title. O’Connor scored a pair of goals for OA, who had a 3-0 advantage at halftime. Halle Kander and Katie Gibson also scored for the Tigers while Lucinda Li Cotter, Alexa Lane, and Allison Evin each had an assist.

Stoughton, 1 @ Sharon, 4 – Final – Sofia Goclowski and Olivia Soby each scored twice and assisted on another to help the Eagles split the season series with Stoughton. Bianca Casna scored for the Black Knights. Amber Marcus-Blank had another strong performance for Sharon’s defense. Casna and Makenzie O’Connor proved to be a solid pairing in the attack for Stoughton and Samantha Tran had another solid all-around game.




Field Hockey
Sharon, 0 vs. Norwell, 1 – Final

Foxboro, 5 @ North Attleboro, 2 – Final

Milford, 0 @ Franklin, 11 – Final – Franklin exploded for five goals in the first quarter of the game and never looked back to knock off Milford, finishing undefeated in league action this year. Kaitlyn Carney had a hat trick in the first quarter and finished the game with four goals while Shaw Downing (three goals) and Haley Wernig (two goals) also scored in the first quarter. Delaney Hess and Emily Carney (two assists) each added a goal in the win while Kendall Jones and Raena Crandall each had an assist in the win.

King Philip, 0 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final – After a close contest in the first meeting, King Philip and Attleboro finished level this time around as both squads wrapped up their respective regular seasons with a point. Sophomore Kelly Holmes had another outstanding game for the Warriors with eight shots on goal and a handful of corners created. Holmes also played well defensively, thwarting the Bombardiers’ offensive attempts throughout the game. Christina Gifun, Molly Piller, and Margo Riley also played well for KP.

Taunton, 2 @ Mansfield, 1 – Final – After a scoreless first half, Taunton found the back of the net twice to knock off Mansfield on the road and put themselves in position to possibly make the playoffs under the state’s new rating system. According to the MIAA’s latest update, the Tigers sat at 36th in Division 1 but have gone 2-1 since (the top 32 rated teams make it plus any team over .500). Caelen O’Leary (from Ashley Amaro) put the visitors ahead and Jasmine Lucier (from Braeley MacDonald) doubled the lead. Maddie Brown scored in the fourth quarter for Mansfield. Em Gannon made 11 saves in net for the win while Kylie Thorpe, Kaysie DeMoura, and Thalia Nogueira also played well for the Tigers.

Volleyball
Canton, 3 vs. Quincy, 0 – Final – Canton picked up one of its best wins of the season, sweeping Quincy 3-0 (25-12, 25-22, 25-19). Quincy is one of the top-ranked teams in Division 1 and won its division in the Patriot League this season. Syd Gallery (nine kills, two blocks, six digs, and two aces) and Talya DeGraw (five kills, 15 digs, two aces) both had strong all-around games for the Bulldogs while. Fatima Sidibay added six kills and four blocks. Anna Verille anchored the defense with 19 digs and Taylor Reynolds ran the offense with 29 assists.

Attleboro, 0 @ Mansfield, 1 – Final – Mansfield ended the regular season on a high note, knocking off Attleboro in a well-played game by two evenly matched sides. The lone goal of the game came in the 9th minute of the game when Danny Rowe finished off a flicked on header by Liam Anastasia. Michael Caridi had the throw-in to get the sequence started. Caridi, Dylan Buchanan, Kevin McCarthy, and Ian Leeds played well defensively in front of Jack Lasbury-Casey, who made nine saves for his eighth shutout of the year.

Milford, 3 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Milford junior Arthur Tome bagged a first half brace as the Scarlet Hawks claimed sole possession of the Kelley-Rex division title with a win over Taunton. Eduardo Santana earned a penalty kick and Tome buried it, and then Santana got an assist to set up Tome for a 2-0 led. Chris Tocci added to the lead with a goal in the second half, finishing off a feed from Nick Ribeiro.

North Attleboro, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – Final – Oliver Ames finally solved the puzzle that was the North Attleboro defense, scoring the lone goal of the game with less than five minutes left to play. The Rocketeers denied the Tigers throughout the game with a defensive-minded approach but OA freshman Casey Milliken finished off a pass from Antonio Fernandes to help the hosts earn two points in OA’s season finale. North Attleboro will finish its regular season on Saturday against Attleboro in the annual Leach & Garner Cup.

Girls Soccer
Mansfield, 1 @ Attleboro, 1 – Final – Mansfield and Attleboro traded first half goals and finished in a draw. With the point, the Bombardiers clinched a return to the postseason for the first time since 2014. Kara Santos opened the scoring, finishing a corner kick from Tarynn Smith midway through the first half. About 11 minutes later, Attleboro equalized to seal a critical point.

Mansfield, 0 @ Attleboro, 4 – Final

Canton, 0 @ Foxboro, 1 – Final

King Philip, 0 @ Franklin, 2 – Final – After a scoreless first half, Franklin finally broke through a stingy King Philip defense just over a minute into the second half and added a late insurance goal to get the win. The Panthers clinched the Kelley-Rex division title outright with the victory at home. Freshman Raena Crandall scored an unassisted goal 68 seconds into the third quarter while freshman Haley Wernig doubled the lead with less than five minutes to play in the fourth quarter. Sophia Cuneo, Emily Carney, Kaeley Dubriske all played well for the Panthers. KP sophomore Kelly Holmes had an outstanding game, nearly scoring on a pair of occasions. Seniors Margo Riley, Haley Izydorczak, and Lily Brown also played well for the Warriors while junior Haley Bright recorded 10 saves.

Taunton, 2 @ Milford, 0 – Final – Taunton scored once in each half to grab a win on the road over Milford, sweeping the season series with the Hawks. Junior Caelyn O’Leary put the visitors out in front off an assist from senior Kylie Thorpe and the Tigers took that 1-0 lead into the halftime break. Ashley Amaro scored an unassisted goal in the second half to double Taunton’s lead while Em Gannon recorded the shutout in net for the Tigers.

Stoughton, 2 @ Sharon, 0 – Final – Sydney Menz and Mia Allie each scored once as Stoughton went on the road and picked up two points with a victory over the Eagles. Stephanie Costeria and Sarah Horner combined to earn the shutout and win in net for the Black Knights while Jane Hendrixson played well for Sharon.




Volleyball
Mansfield, 1 @ Attleboro, 3 – Final – While it looked like Attleboro was going to make the playoffs based on their latest ranking, the Bombardiers made sure they were headed to the postseason for the first time since 2008 by scoring an upset over Mansfield, 3-1 (25-20, 23-25, 25-11, 25-23). Attleboro earned its ninth win of the season, securing a .500 record which is an automatic qualifier for the playoffs.In the win, Natalie Brojek dished out 29 assists and had a strong showing at the service line with nine aces. Lilly Boedeker (10 digs) and Julia Leonardo (eight digs, 15 kills) anchored the defense for the hosts.

Canton, 3 @ Foxboro, 0 – Final – Canton capped off its league schedule with a sweep on the road over Foxboro, taking a 3-0 verdict (25-14, 25-15, 25-18). It was another great team effort for the Bulldogs, led by Amaiah Christian with three kills, two blocks, two digs, and an ace. Jess Vo played great defense in her first varsity start while Zoe Scibelli also had a great defensive match.

Taunton, 0 @ Milford, 3 – Final

North Attleboro, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final – Oliver Ames entered Thursday’s match already having earned no less than a share of the Davenport division title, but the Tigers didn’t want to share. OA won the title outright for the first time with a 3-0 sweep (25-20, 25-15, 25-18) of North Attleboro, avenging a loss to the Rocketeers from earlier this season. Sophomore Sarah Hilliard put down 18 kills and added 16 digs in the win, senior Hadley Rhodes recorded 26 assists, senior Kelli Crowley added four blocks, and senior Amanda Barth chipped in with seven aces.

Field Hockey
Attleboro, 1 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Madison Ellis scored the lone goal of the game three minutes into the fourth quarter, giving Attleboro a road win over the Tigers and a sweep of the season series (both games finishing 1-0). Olivia Hamilton picked up the assist on the game-winner and Ava Haggerty made eight saves to preserve the shutout. Taunton goalie Em Gannon turned away 10 shots while Kylie Thorpe, Kaysie DeMoura, Thalia Nogueira, and Jasmine Lucier played well for the Tigers.

Canton @ North Attleboro, 6:00

Foxboro, 4 @ Sharon, 0 – Final

Franklin, 6 @ Mansfield, 1 – Final – Franklin scored three goals on either side of halftime to earn a season sweep of the Hornets. Kendall Jones opened the scoring (from Raena Crandall) and Emily Carney and Kaitlyn Carney each scored once in the second quarter to give the visitors a 3-0 lead at the break. Payten Crandall added two goals in the second half, Haley Wernig had a goal and an an assist and Emily Carney added two more helpers.

Milford, 0 @ King Philip, 7 – Final – Seven different players found the back of the net for the Warriors, as they earned their 12th win of the season. Lily Brown opened the scoring with what turned out to be the game-winner eight minutes into the game and senior Veronica Nowakowski wrapped up the scoring with her first career goal in the fourth quarter. Kelly Holmes and Margo Riley each scored once and assisted on two goals apiece, while Sydney O’Shea and Mara Boldy each had a goal and an assist. Makenzie McDevitt also scored for KP and Christina Gifun and Abby MacDonald both had assists.

Oliver Ames, 2 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – Georgia Costello scored in the final second of the first quarter for what turned out to be the game-winner for the Tigers. Erin Cottam assisted on the opener and then doubled the lead with a goal just 30 seconds into the second quarter. Tyla Delamere got the assist on the second goal. The Tigers had 25 penalty corners and put more than 30 shots on goal. Stoughton goalie Melody Casna stood on her head to keep the Black Knights in the game, making 29 saves in a remarkable performance.

Attleboro, 1 @ Taunton, 3 – Final – In a very evenly matched contest, Taunton prevailed with a hard-fought 3-1 win (25-22, 25-23, 23-25, 25-22) over the visiting Bombardiers. For Attleboro, freshman Julia Leonardo recorded 29 kills and 14 digs, Natalie Brojek dished out 34 assists to go along with 13 digs, Lilly Boedeker added 24 serve receptions and 12 digs, and Kate Petrosso recorded four blocks and seven kills.

Foxboro, 1 @ Sharon, 3 – Final

Canton, 3 @ North Attleboro, 0 – Final – Canton swept North Attleboro 26-24, 25-10, 25-20 to stay within one match of division-leading OA. The Bulldogs had a strong match at the net, recording seven blocks as a team and getting good balance in the attack. Taylor Reynolds was a key to the offense with 30 assists, while adding two kills and two aces. Anna Verille continued to be strong on the back row with 19 digs.

Franklin, 3 @ Mansfield, 1 – Final – The Panthers rallied after dropping the first set to remain in the hunt for the league title. Franklin won 20-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-4. Taylor Lacerda had a great all-around performance with two aces, 11 kills, and nine digs. Julia Kelly led the Hornets with 11 kills and added six aces and six digs. Nicole Santos and Elyssa Buchanan (nine digs) each had five kills, Christina Lydon had 13 assists, and Jackie Zelic had 10 digs for Mansfield.

Milford, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – KP maintained its one-match lead on Franklin with a sweep of Milford. The Warriors won 25-8, 25-22, 25-16 and can clinch at least a share of the league title with a win in their next match. Samantha Asprelli had a strong game on the back row and the service line with 10 aces, seven digs, and 21 service points won. Stella Bailey added five aces and 13 service points won and Sofia Reidel added nine digs. Sami Shore led KP at the net with 10 kills and three blocks and Emily Sawyer chipped in with eight kills.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – OA swept Stoughton (25-17, 25-15, 25-17) to move within one win of clinching at least a share of the division title. Kelli Crowley was a standout for the Tigers with her aggressive play at the net. Hadley Rhodes set the OA offense in motion with 22 assists and Maddie Homer was dominant on the back row with 21 digs. Sarah Hilliard led the way with 14 kills and five aces.

Canton, 4 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – Holding just a one goal lead at halftime, Canton found the back of the net three time after the break to pull away from Stoughton for a win on the road. Senior Lily Carlino put the Bulldogs on the board, a 1-0 advantage that Canton took into half. Senior Payton McDonough, junior Ellie Bohane, and sophomore Payton England each scored in the second to give Canton a 4-0 win.

North Attleboro, 1 @ Foxboro, 4 – Final

Franklin, 7 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Franklin’s Kaitlyn Carney scored a first quarter hat trick and the Panthers never looked back in a win over Taunton. Haley Wernig opened the scoring less than a minute in and Carney followed with three straight before the first 15 minutes expired. That score held over the next two quarters before Ella Mahoney scored in the fourth and Shaw Downing (who also had three assists) scored back-to-back goals to get to 7-0. Payten Crandall had an assist for the Panthers.

Mansfield, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – Three different Warriors scored and King Philip picked up its 11th win of the year with a 3-0 decision at home over Mansfield. Senior captain Molly Piller scored her first career goal off an assist from Kelly Homes while sophomore Mara Boldy (from Holmes) and freshman Makenzie McDevitt (from Sydney O’Shea) also scored for KP.

Sharon, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 5 – Final – Georgia Costello scored a hat trick and Ava Costello had three assists as Oliver Ames picked up a win at home over Sharon. Julia Maclaine opened the scoring in the first quarter (from Ava Costell) and Georgia Costello followed with back-to-back goals, one in the second and one in the third. Erin Cottam (from Georgia Costello) stretched the lead to 4-0 before Georgia Costello completed the hat trick in the fourth. Sharon goalie Natalie Kessler had a very strong performance in net. Also playing well for OA were Lily Gaskill, Lauren Mularczyk, and Emilee Welch.

North Attleboro @ Foxboro, 5:00

Canton, 3 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – It was a total team effort from the Bulldogs in a win over neighboring Stoughton, earning a 3-0 (25-13, 25-13, 25-14) sweep of the Black Knights. Jess Wright led Canton with 13 kills and three aces while Amaiah Christian, Fatima Sidibay and Katie Dever were all strong in the middle, combining for 11 kills and a pair of blocks. Sally Hoban was perfect in her serving debut with three aces. Kelly MacDonald, Ella Lewis, Zoe Scibelli and Jess Vo were strong in the backcourt for the Bulldogs.

Franklin, 3 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Franklin made it three straight wins by taking down Taunton, winning all three in straight sets, this time a 25-16, 25-13, 25-23 victory over the Tigers. Sophomore Taylor Lacerda had a strong all-around game with nine kills, nine digs, and three aces for the Panthers. For Taunton, Mikayla Cleary had a strong game with nine kills and a pair of blocks while Dani Lofgren (nine digs), Emily Machado (six digs), and Jess Foley (six digs) anchored the defense.

Mansfield, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – King Philip won its 16th straight match to start the season and kept its spot atop the Kelley-Rex division with a 3-0 sweep (25-19, 25-17, 25-22) of Mansfield. Ahunna James (eight kills), Sami Shore (eight kills, four aces), and Emily Sawyer (six kills) paced the offensive attack for the Warriors. Sofia Riedel (five digs, three aces) and Samantha Asprelli (five digs) anchored the KP defense. For Mansfield, Julia Kelly had five kills and three aces, Nicole Santos added four aces, three kills, and three blocks, and Elyssa Buchanan chipped in with four kills and three digs to lead the offense. Christina Lydon and Izzy Flint each dished out nine assists, Lexie Scibilia finished with three blocks a pair of aces, and a block, and Jackie Zelic notched four digs.

Sharon, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final – A day after rallying for a comeback win over Bridgewater-Raynham, Oliver Ames took care of business in straight sets with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-22, 25-14) over visiting Sharon. Junior Brianna Monteiro had a strong all-around game in the Tigers’ win. Maddie Homer notched 20 digs, Hadley Rhodes finished with 17 kills and five aces, and Shannon Willard chipped in with 10 assists and a pair of aces.

Canton, 5 @ Sharon, 2 – Final – Canton pulled away late to grab a road win. Gabriella Herivaux led the way for the Bulldogs with a brace. Sofia Goclowski scored for Sharon on an assist by Olivia Soby. Amanda Hu also found the back of the net for the Eagles, assisted by Wendy Wooden.

Stoughton, 0 @ Norwood, 3 – Final – Shayla Ford played well in the loss for Stoughton, but couldn’t finish her chances. Mia Rivera also had a decent game in goal for the Black Knights and Sofia Issa continues to impress in the midfield.

Field Hockey
Attleboro, 2 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – Attleboro scored a pair of second half goals to level the match but King Philip sophomore Kelly Holmes scored on a beautiful aerial shot with just over two minutes to play to give the Warriors the win. Sophomore Mara Boldy opened the scoring in the first quarter on an assist from Sydney O’Shea and then Holmes scored to make it 2-0. Emma Briggs cut the deficit in half with a third quarter goal and Sarah McMahon tied it with under six to play before Holmes deposited her shot over everyone and into the far corner off of a penalty corner. Senior defenders Haley Izydorczak and Molly Piller both played outstanding in the win.

Canton, 7 @ Sharon, 0 – Final

Foxboro, 2 @ Oliver Ames, 4 – Final – After trading goals in the first half, Oliver Ames’ Erin Cottam scored twice in the second half to give the Tigers a key division win over Foxboro. Junior Tyla Delamere opened the scoring with her first career goal midway through the first quarter but Jenny Gallagher responded with just over a minute left in the period to make it 1-1. Georgia Costello put the hosts ahead just over a minute into the second but Gallagher answered again just over a minute later to send the teams into the halftime break knotted at 2-2. Cottam got her first goal of the game late in the third off a feed from Lily Gaskill. Cottam tacked on a second one with 9:48 to play to secure the win. Both Gaskill and Ava Costello played well in the midfield while Olivia Stevens had a strong game on defense for the Tigers.

Franklin, 8 @ Milford, 0 – Final – Franklin scored twice in each the first and second quarters and put it out of reach with three more in the third in a win on the road at Milford. Kaitlyn Carney scored four goals and had one assist to pace the offense, getting assists from Sophia Cuneo, Ella Aldred, and Ella Mahoney while Kendall Jones scored twice in the win (one assisted by Haley Wernig). Sydney Rogan tacked on a pair of second quarter goals for the Panthers.

Mansfield, 2 @ Taunton, 2 – Final – Taunton built a two-goal lead in the second half but Mansfield struck for a pair of second half goals, including the gaming one with less than a minute to go to grab a point on the road. Jillian Edmond (from Kaysie DeMoura) broke the deadlock with a goal with just over four minutes to play in the third. DeMoura recorded her second assist by finding Caelen O’Leary early in the fourth quarter. Mansfield scored with 20 seconds left to tie the game. Em Gannon had a big game in net with 16 saves while Jasmine Lucier and Kylie Thorpe both played well.

Attleboro, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – King Philip’s offense was hitting on all cylinders as the Warriors rolled to a 3-0 sweep (25-7, 25-17, 25-9) win at home over the visiting Bombardiers of Attleboro. Middles Sami Shore (11 kills, three blocks) and Emily Sawyer (10 kills) both had strong showings while Ahunna James (seven kills, five digs) played a strong all-around game. Samantha Asprelli added 12 digs and Stella Bailey recorded 18 service points and 26 assists.

Foxboro, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final – Oliver Ames took care of business on Friday evening, knocking off division foe Foxboro in straight sets (25-7, 25-13, 25-18). Junior Courtney Raymond played well in the win with eight kills and two blocks, senior Shannon Willard added 14 assists, senior Hadley Rhodes dished out 12 assists and added four kills, and sophomore Sarah Hilliard recorded 10 kills and five aces.

Canton, 3 @ Sharon, 1 – Final – Canton bounced back from a one-set deficit to take three straight on the road for a 3-1 victory (18-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-15). Sydney Gallery had one of the best performances of her career with 13 kills, seven digs, and three aces to lead the way. Anna Verille anchored the defense for the visitors with 25 digs and added an ace and a kill while Talya DeGraw turned in a strong all-around performance with nine kills, 14 digs, and an ace.

Franklin, 3 @ Milford, 1 – Final – Milford fought hard to avoid the sweep with a win in the third set but Franklin proved to be too much as the Panthers secured a 3-1 (25-16, 25-22, 20-25, 25-16) win over the Hawks. Junior Meghan Linkkila anchored the defense with 15 digs and had a strong showing at the service line with seven aces while sophomore Taylor Lacerda was nearly unstoppable at the net with 19 kills to go along with 11 digs and a pair of aces.

Mansfield, 3 @ Taunton, 1 – Final – After dropping the first set, Mansfield rallied to take three straight, including a vital third set, to knock off Taunton, 3-1 (22-25, 25-20, 26-24, 25-12). Christina Lydon dished out 17 assists in the win with Nicole Santos (six kills), Elyssa Buchanan (six kills), and Julia Kelly (five kills) pacing the offense.

North Attleboro, 201 @ Attleboro, 197 – Final (5 cards) – Attleboro grabbed its sixth win of the season and got back to .500 with its second close win over rival North Attleboro this year. Carter Shelton and Leo Lombardo led the way after both shooting a 37, Brendan Raymond added a 39, and Dane Holske, Parker Sackett, and Jackson Sweeney all came in at 42 for the Bombardiers. Tyson Laviano led the visitors with a medalist round of 36 while Jake Gaskin added a 38.

Mansfield, 161 @ Sharon, 170 – Final – Mansfield finished the week a perfect 4-0, capping it off with a win over Sharon at the Norton Country Club. After a solid showing in his varsity debut, junior Drew Urban had a hole-in-one on the seventh hole to highlight the win. Cian Goulet had a team-low round of 39, Brendan Vokey and Hunter Tang each shot a 40, and Ryan Doherty and Urban both came in with a 42.

Stoughton, 1 @ Attleboro, 2 – Final – Sophomore Alex Vecchioli’s second goal of the game turned out to be the game-winner for the Bombardiers in a win over Stoughton. With the game tied 1-1, Vecchioli pounced on a loose ball inside the six-yard box after a service from Luke Hagopian in the 68th minute to put the hosts ahead. Vecchioli opened the scoring in the 6th minute, taking a pass from Chris Russo before cutting it back on his left foot for a beautiful blast into the top corner at the far post from just under 30 yards out. Stoughton leveled the match shortly before halftime after a great hustle play from junior Joao Marotti led to an open shot from atop the area from freshman Alex Kozak.

Canton, 1 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – King Philip scored three goals for the second straight game to earn its second straight win, this time against visiting Canton. After trading early goals, the Warriors scored in the last 10 minutes of the first half and again in the first 10 minutes of the second half for their third win of the season. Matt Crago put the hosts ahead from the spot after Tommy Lomuscio was fouled in the 10th minute but Canton’s Erik Valdovinos equalized moments later to make it 1-1. KP regained the lead in the 32nd minute when Lomuscio finished off a feed from Dermott Amorim to give KP a 2-1 advantage at the break. The Warriors added an insurance tally in the 46th minute when Crago completed his brace on an assist from Sean McCarthy.

Foxboro, 0 @ Franklin, 1 – Final – In a well-played, hard fought match, it was the Franklin Panthers that secured two points after converting a late chance from the penalty spot. Sean O’Leary earned the pen in the 76th minute and senior Terry O’Neill stepped up and buried his shot for the lone goal of the game. Foxboro goalie Derek Axon received high praise from Franklin coach Fran Bositis for his strong play (12 saves) in net.

Sharon, 1 @ Mansfield, 2 – Final – Mansfield senior Matt Hyland scored with less than a minute to play to help the Hornets earn the win and take two points after it looked like the game was destined to finish level. The Hornets had the upper hand in the opening half and converted less than 10 minutes into the contest. Michael Caridi’s long throw in the attacking third was met at the near post by Hyland but his header was turned aside by a terrific reactionary save from Sharon goalie Brady Daylor. The ball bounced off the crossbar and back into play where junior Andrew Bain was quick to clean up the rebound for the lead. Sharon equalized in the 48th minute, becoming the first team to score against Mansfield this season, snapping a 537:15 shutout streak to start the season. Amjad Kordab played a perfectly weighted through ball behind the defense and junior Adam Eastman placed it far post pass the oncoming keeper to make it 1-1. In the final minute, Hyland cut the ball back onto his left while on the right sideline and curled a shot on net that beat the keeper and found the back of the net.

North Attleboro, 0 @ Milford, 2 – Final – Junior Eduardo Santana scored the go-ahead goal and assisted on the insurance tally — both coming in the second half — as the Hawks picked up a win over visiting North Attleboro. Santana put the hosts ahead on a feed from Alex Siquera and then set up David Desa to double the lead. Milford head coach Antonio Pinto praised the effort from his backline in the shutout.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Oliver Ames pushed its win streak to four with a well-earned two points on the road against a game Taunton squad. Sophomore Joey Carney opened the scoring on a feed from Clide Neau, and the Tigers took that 1-0 advantage into the break. But the game changed quickly when Neau doubled the lead very early in the second half on an assist from Mathias Taylor. Taylor then capped the scoring with a goal assisted by freshman Casey Milliken. Sasha Priajinski picked up his third shutout of there season while Collin Lozano, Jake Williams, Antonio Fernandes, and Hector Bucio all played well defensive for OA.

Girls Soccer
Attleboro, 4 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – Zoe Johnson-Kiff recorded her first career hat trick, leading Attleboro to its fourth win in the last five games. Jamie Davies opened the scoring the Bombardiers, from a Kahlan Gray assist. Johnson-Kiff scored the next three goals for the visitors. Emily Dunlea had a brace of assists and Kacey Parker had one helper. Olivia Calderone and Emily Khang both had solid games for Attleboro.

King Philip, 4 @ Canton, 0 – Final – KP went on the road and picked up its sixth win in six league games this season. Ella Pisani scored eight minutes into the game, off a feed from Dani Lomuscio, and it held up as the game-winner. KP added two goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half to seal the win. Heidi Lawrence and Mikayla Thompson got the goals, both assisted by Morgan Norrman. Kylie Menendez made it 4-0 midway through the second half, assisted by Pisani.

Mansfield, 6 @ Sharon, 1 – Final – The Hornets made it back-to-back wins with a strong performance on the road. Tarynn Smith scored twice and assisted on two others to lead the Mansfield attack. Anna Darlington scored once and had two assists and Avery Hawthorne, Gabby Smith, and Courtney Crook also found the back of the net for the Hornets. Freshman Autumn Simon started in goal for the Eagles but then moved to forward late in the game and scored Sharon’s lone goal.

Milford, 0 @ North Attleboro, 3 – Final – North scored twice in the opening 10 minutes to pull out its third win of the season. Steph McKenna opened the scoring just four minutes in, finishing off a pass from Brooke Sullivan. Four minutes later, Emma Pratt ran onto a chip by Caroline Ferrin and made it 2-0. Haley Sinacola wrapped up the scoring with her third free kick goal of the season. Summer Doherty played well in the North defense, marking Milford star Dani Atherton. Maddie Ferrin saw five shots and penalty kick, but earned a clean sheet. Carli Guertin, Chloe Mearn, Kate Johnson, Morgan Eaton, and Jess Hennessey all played well for the Rocketeers.

Taunton, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 9 – Final – Oliver Ames sophomore Lucinda Li Cotter scored four goals as the Tigers rolled to a big win at home. Katie Gibson added two goals in the win while Alexa Lane, Carly Gibson and Lindsay Nosalek each scored once for OA, who remained unbeaten at 6-0-1.

Taunton, 0 @ Attleboro, 1 – Final – Attleboro defended its home turf by earning a shutout win over visiting Taunton. Madison Ellis scored the lone goal of the game, finishing off a shot on assists from Olivia Hillman and Sarah McMahon.

North Attleboro, 1 @ Canton, 5 – Final – North Attleboro took the lead on the road at Canton but the Bulldogs bounced back with five straight to take the win. Julia Puccio put the Rocketeers ahead but Ellie Bohane scored her first of two goals on the night to make it 1-1. Senior Erin Lane and Sophomore Maggie Mcready found the back of the net before the break for a 3-1 halftime lead. Junior Audrey Koen extended the lead for the hosts and Bohane tacked on her second to cap the scoring.

Sharon, 0 @ Foxboro, 7 – Final

Mansfield, 0 @ Franklin, 8 – Final – Franklin built a three-goal lead by halftime then pumped in five more after the break as the Panthers stayed red-hot on offense in a win over Mansfield. Haley Wernig and Delaney Hess (first varsity goal) each scored two goals to lead the attack while Raena Crandall, Emily Carney, Kaitlyn Carney, and Ella Mahoney (first varsity goal) all scored once in the win. Shaw Downing, Kaeley Dubriske, Kendall Jones, and Kiera Kotwicki all recorded assists in the win.

King Philip, 4 @ Milford, 0 – Final – Sophomores Kelly Holmes and Mara Boldy each had multi-point games as King Philip bounced back from its first loss of the season with a shutout win on the road on the turf field at Woodland Elementary. Senior Margo Reilly and freshman Makenzie McDevitt also scored in the win while both Sydney O’Shea and Lily Brown had strong games for the Warriors.

Senior Natalie Brojek set the offense in motion with 26 assists and had a strong showing at the service line with six aces, freshman Julia Leonardo continued her stellar start to the season with 20 kills, and Lilly Boedeker anchored the defense with 21 serve receptions.

Sharon, 0 @ Foxboro, 3 – Final

North Attleboro, 0 @ Canton, 3 – Final – Canton completed a 3-0 sweep (25-18, 25-15, 25-12) to earn a key victory over division foe North Attleboro. Sydney Gallery paced the attack for the Bulldogs with 10 kills and also had a great game defensively. Talya DeGraw had a strong all-around match with four kills, six digs, three aces, and two blocks, Taylor Reynolds recorded 26 assists, and Anna Verille put down 15 kills and added four aces in a good all-around team effort from the Dogs.

Mansfield, 0 @ Franklin, 3 – Final – Franklin got off to a strong start and then fended off a strong fight from the Hornets for a 3-0 sweep (25-10, 25-23, 25-22). Sophomore Taylor Lacerda recoded nine digs, eight kills, and two aces in the win while Brigid Earley added six kills and four blocks for Franklin. For Mansfield, Lexi Scibilia notched six blocks and a kill, sophomore Elyssa Buchanan added six kills, and Julia Kelly finished with four kills and four digs.

King Philip, 3 @ Milford, 1 – Final – King Philip dropped its first set of the season after a marathon first game but bounced back to take the next three in a win on the road over Milford (26-28, 25-8, 25-13, 25-11). Sami Shore (six blocks) and Ahunna James (three aces, three digs) paced the offense for the visitors with 15 kills apiece while Liv Carey added five kills in the win. Sofia Riedel had a big day at the service line with 29 service points won along with 11 digs while Samantha Asprelli added eight digs.

Stoughton, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final – Oliver Ames took care of business at home, sweeping visiting Stoughton (25-11, 25-18, 25-10). The Tigers got key contributions from three different classes with senior Hadley Rhodes recording 15 assists and eight aces, junior Maddie Homer adding 14 digs and 10 serve receptions, and senior Sarah Hilliard finishing with 10 kills and five aces.

Oliver Ames, 167 @ Mansfield, 155 – Final – Mansfield bounced back from a one-stroke loss at Pine Oaks to Oliver Ames by splitting the season series with the Tigers, earning their eighth win of the year with a win over the Tigers at Norton Country Club. Senior Cian Goulet shot an even par medalist round of 36 to lead the way while sophomore Nathan McClean added a 39 and both seniors Hunter Tang and Ryan Doherty shot a 40. Jo Jo Gaultier led Oliver Ames with a 37 while Sean Kearns added a 39 for the Tigers.

Sharon, 173 @ Milford, 167 – Final – Milford broke into the win column for the season with a victory over Sharon at Hopedale Country Club. Anthony LaPierre and Jacob Hipolito both earned medalist honors by shooting a match-low round of 40 in the win. Sharon’s Nathan Daley also took a share of medalist honors with a 40 while Eric Carter added a 42.

Stoughton, 188 @ North Attleboro, 151 – Final – North Attleboro’s Tyson Laviano fired an ever par round of 35 to lead the Rocketeers to a win on the middle course of Heather Hill in a match against Stoughton. Jake Gaskin came in one-over at 36, Dillon Harding shot a 39, and Ishan Kohli finished at 41.

Canton, 0 @ Milford, 2 – Final – Milford scored once in each half to down the Bulldogs for their first victory of the season. Arthur Tome put the hosts ahead, converting a pass from David Desa to make it 1-0. In the second half, junior Nick Ribeiro iced the game with a goal with just over two minutes to go.

Foxboro, 2 vs. Norton, 1 – Final – Foxboro senior Matt Angelini set up a goal in each half to help the Warriors claim a win against non-league foe Norton. Angelini blasted a low shot from atop the area that was saved, pushed off the post and out but junior Alex Penders was first to the loose ball and touched it in for a 1-0 lead in the 36th minute. Just after halftime, Angelini intercepted a pass in the attacking third and laid off a pass for Jacob Tessier, who beat the keeper from distance to make it 2-0 in the 48th minute.

Oliver Ames, 1 @ Franklin, 2 – Final – Franklin scored back-to-back goals in a short span to earn a win over Oliver Ames, the first victory of the young season for the Panthers. Terry O’Neill was first to a loose ball in the box, pouncing on it to make it 1-0, and shortly after, Tyler Powderly found the back of the net. OA cut the deficit in half on a goal from senior Michael Haikal off an assist from Clide Neau.

King Philip, 0 @ North Attleboro, 1 – Final – Carson Dameron scored the only goal of the game to lift North to the win. The sophomore pressured the KP center back, stole the ball, and scored on the break for his first career goal. Givany Carney also played well up top for North, keeping the KP defense on its toes. Brody Rosenberg and Joe Shephard played well on defense to help the Rocketeers keep a clean sheet.

North Attleboro, 1 @ Braintree, 0 – Final – North closed out a three-game week with a hard-fought non-league road win. Steph McKenna scored the lone goal of the game early in the second half. She took a pass from Autumn Hewitt and found the back of the net from 15 yards out. Haley Sinacola also came close when she hit a 35-yard free kick off the bar. Maddie Ferrin recorded her second clean sheet of the week and North’s defense of Lily Adams, Charlotte Moynihan, Caroline Ferrin, and Summer Doherty all played well.

Stoughton, 1 vs. Norwood, 2 – Final – Morgan Cook scored off an Isabella Rodrigues assist for Stoughton’s lone goal of the game. Emma Tran also played well in multiple positions for the Black Knights, who were missing a few players for the non-league game.

Sharon, 3 vs. Milton, 3 – Final – Amanda Hu scored a late equalizer to earn a point for the Eagles, who twice came from a goal down in the draw. Olivia Soby opened the scoring for Sharon. After Milton scored twice to take the lead, Wendy Wooden leveled the scores. The Wildcats regained the lead but Hu fired in a shot from distance to tie it up in the closing minutes. Sofia Goclowski had a pair of assists.

Milford, 0 @ Canton, 4 – Final – Ellie Bohane scored twice to lift Canton to the victory. Erin Lane and Maggie McCready each scored once for the Bulldogs.

Kaitlyn Carney scored a pair of goals while Shaw Downing, Payten Crandall, and Haley Wernig also scored, which was the first varsity goal for Wernig. Wernig and Crandall also had assists while Megan Sullivan had five saves for the shutout.

North Attleboro, 0 @ King Philip, 4 – Final – KP’s defense was dominant throughout, allowing only one shot on goal. Seniors Lily Brown and Molly Piller stood out for the Warriors on the defensive end of the field. Mara Boldy got the winner, scoring in the second quarter off an assist from Makenzie McDevitt. Boldy then added an assist, setting up Margo Reilly. Kelly Holmes added a third, assisted by Christina Gifun, and freshman Abby MacDonald closed out the scoring with her first career goal. Boldy added her second assist of the game on KP’s fourth.

Stoughton, 5 vs. Brockton, 0 – Final – Zofia Bangs scored a hat trick to power the Black Knights to their first win of the season. Mia Allie and Isabella Iacobucci also scored once apiece.




Volleyball
Milford, 1 @ Canton, 3 – Final – Canton bounced back from a tough second set and got its first win of the season, 25-22, 12-25, 25-16, 25-17. Taylor Reynolds ran the offense for the Bulldogs, dishing out 27 assists, while also chipping in with four aces and nine digs. Anna Verille had a big game defensively, recording 17 digs and also had four aces. Jess Wright sparked the attack with 14 kills (and added seven digs), while Sydney Gallery had a solid all-around game on the outside with eight kills and five digs.

Franklin, 3 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – Final – OA won a close first set, 27-25, but then Franklin rolled over the next three sets (25-12, 25-13, 25-12) to pull out the win and stay perfect on the season. Cailyn Mackintosh dished out 21 assists and added eight kills. She also chipped in with four aces and 27 digs. Taylor Lacerda also had eight kills for the Panther and Brigid Earley had four kills and seven blocks. Addyson Smock had a pair of blocks for the Tigers and gave them an aggressive presence at the net. Hadley Rhodes led OA with 20 assists and five kills and Maddie Homer was strong in serve-receive and on defense with 27 digs and 32 receptions.

King Philip, 3 vs. Walpole, 0 – Final – King Philip continued its strong start to the season with a 3-0 sweep (25-13, 25-8, 25-10) at home over non-league foe Walpole. It was a strong all-around effort from the hosts with Sami Shore (10 kills, two aces), Liz Carey (four kills, 10 service points), and Emily Sawyer (five kills) pacing the offense. Stella Bailey (five aces, 17 service points) and Kiera Hagen (five aces) both performed well at the service line while Samantha Asprelli (six digs) was strong defensively.

Golf
Mansfield, 168 @ Franklin, 166 – Final – Franklin defended its home course to hand Mansfield its first loss of the season. Sophomore CJ Steel show the low round of the afternoon, carding a 38. That was one stroke better than Mansfield’s Cian Goulet. Caden Sullivan added a round of 42 and Ben Paterson and Caroline Woelfel each shot 43s for the Panthers. Cody Nieratko shot a 40 for the Hornets, who also got a round of 43 from Jordan Tavares and a 46 from Brendan Vokey.

Canton, 145 @ Oliver Ames, 152 – Final – Canton pulled out a win in the battle of unbeaten division rivals. Mike Leonetti was the medalist at Pine Oaks, shooting a 2-under round of 32. Will Gefteas had the second lowest round of the day, finishing with a 35. Conor Hunter added a 38 and Mekhala Costello and Charlie Cohen both shot a 40. OA was led by David Rodgers with a round of 37. Lucas Riley and Jake Kaplan both shot 38s and Carter Allbritton added a 39.

North Attleboro, 0 @ Attleboro, 2 – Final – After a scoreless first half, Attleboro pumped in a pair of goals to earn a win over rival North Attleboro. Yianni Skordas converted a feed from Luke Hagopian to put the hosts ahead in the second half. Alex Vecchioli opened his account on the season with a goal assisted by Connor Adema.

Foxboro, 0 @ Mansfield, 0 – Final – Mansfield senior Jack Lasbury-Casey (seven saves) and Foxboro senior Derek Axon both played well in goal, each earning a shutout. It marked Lasbury-Casey’s third straight shutout to start the season while it was Axon’s first of the year. Mansfield coach Steve Sheridan praised the effort from his defense.

Stoughton, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – King Philip scored a pair of first half goals and tacked on one more in the second half to break into the win column for the first time this season. Will Bowen opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, finishing off a feed from Oliver Blackburn for a 1-0 lead. Less than 10 minutes later, Matt Crago set up Stephen Griffin to make it 2-0 in the 32nd minute. Blackburn then added a goal of his own in the 54th minute, taking a feed from Caleb Cassetta and finding the back of the net.

Sharon, 1 @ Taunton, 2 – Final – Taunton picked up its third straight win to start the season, marking its best start in since 2013 when the Tigers won their first four league games. The Tigers scored early as junior Riley Rebello set up Sete Deletoile in the 7th minute for the lead. Taunton doubled its advantage in the 25th minute as Conal Scully found the back of the net on an assist from Devin Poe. Sharon cut the lead in half just before halftime on a goal from Cam Birnbaum. Taunton head coach Taylor Whitters said “it was truly a team effort” while noting the strong play of Jonathan Trinh and Delano Costa-Hanlon.

Girls Soccer
North Attleboro, 0 @ Attleboro, 1 – Final – Click here for a recap and photo gallery of this game.

Mansfield, 2 @ Foxboro, 5 – Final – Kailee McCabe made it eight goals in three games and the Warriors won for the third straight time (in the process, scoring 19 goals as a team). After back-to-back hat tricks, McCabe scored twice and assisted on a third to hand Mansfield its first loss. Neve Taylor scored for the second straight game and added an assist. Jordan Carman followed up two goals against Stoughton with a goal and assist against the Hornets. Erin Foley also found the net and Grace Riley had an assist. Foxboro was able to hold on after going down a player with 10 minutes to play. The red card gave Mansfield a penalty that it converted but the Warriors held out to secure the victory and head coach Katie Stalcup said they played well as a team.

King Philip, 8 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – Ella Pisani continued her strong start to the season with a four-goal game, as KP stayed perfect through three games and recorded a third straight clean sheet. Pisani took only six minutes to get her hat trick, putting KP well in front early in the game. Brooke Mullins assisted on two of the goals and Grace Lawler on one. With 10 minutes to go before the half, Paulina Baczkowski added KP’s fourth, assisted by Mikayla Thomspon, and then four minutes later Baczkowski set up Rachel DeFlaminis to make it 5-0. Midway through the second half, Dani Lomuscio got her first career goal, finishing off a pass from Baczkowski. Five minutes later, Pisani got her fourth, this time assisted by Maggie Griffin, and then Heidi Lawrence added an unassisted goal with seven minutes left to play. Stoughton coach Hermes Lima praised his team for closing the first half well and for a good start to the second half. Emma Tran played well at the back and up top for the Black Knights and Shayla Ford added strong minutes at the back. Olivia Tran continued her good start to the season for Stoughton and Sophia Lally was praised for her hustle.

Taunton, 0 @ Sharon, 7 – Final – After getting shutout in its opening game of the season, Sharon exploded for seven goals to earn its first win. Sofia Goclowski finished with five points, recording a hat trick and a pair of assists, to power the Eagles offensively. Taylor Standring added a hat trick of her own and Carly Pinnix scored the seventh. Olivia Soby and Autumn Simon both had a pair of assists in the win. Simon and Samantha Connors split time in goal to record the clean sheet. It was the most goals that Sharon has scored in a game since scoring 11 against Stoughton in 2016. During that stretch, the Eagles had scored six times on three occasions.




Field Hockey
Attleboro @ North Attleboro, 3:45

King Philip, 5 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – King Philip sophomore Kelly Holmes had three points and the Warriors picked up their third win of the season with a 5-1 decision over Stoughton. Holmes scored twice, including a goal on a penalty stroke, and had an assist in the win. Junior Nikki McDonald scored her first varsity goal and added an assist and senior Lily Brown scored her first career goal in the win.

Taunton, 4 @ Sharon, 0 – Final – Taunton’s Braeley MacDonald scored a pair of goals and goalie Emily Gannon recorded her second shutout of the young season in a win on the road at Sharon. Taylor Doherty and Caelyn O’Leary also scored in the win while Ashley Amaro added two assists. Kylie Thorpe, Kaysie DeMoura, and Thalia Nogueira also played well for the Tigers.

Volleyball
Attleboro, 1 @ North Attleboro, 3 – Final – After dropping a tight third set, North Attleboro bounced back to down rival Attleboro and win in four sets, 3-1 (25-16, 25-19, 23-25, 25-17). Katherine McHoul set the offense in motion with 23 assists, setting up Sara Carter (10 kills) and Amira Boory (nine kills) for strong showings at the net. Julianne Chen was strong defensive for North with nine digs.

King Philip, 3 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – King Philip went on the road and won in three straight, claiming their third win of the season with a 3-0 result (25-10, 25-6, 25-17). The Warriors set the tone at the service line as Junior Kiera Hagen notched five aces and a total of 21 service points, junior Sami Shore added 16 service points and four aces, and senior Samantha Asprelli added six aces. Junior Emily Sawyer had a big day at the net with 12 kills and two blocks while junior Ahunna James added seven kills.




Golf
King Philip, 150 @ Stoughton, 194 – Final – King Philip’s Mike Matheson and Pat Reardon each shot a one-under par round at Easton Country Club to lead the Warriors to a win. Matheson and Reardon came in with a round of 34 for KP while Anthony Hern had the low-round for Stoughton at 40.

Mansfield, 155 @ Attleboro, 158 – Final – Mansfield senior Cian Goulet fired a team-low round of 37 as the Hornets just edged out Attleboro on the links at Stone-E-Lea. Senior Hunter Tang added a 38 and classmate Ryan Doherty came in with a round of 39. Sophomore Cody Nieratko rounded out the scoring for the Hornets with a 40.

Foxboro, 193 @ North Attleboro, 198 – Final (5 cards) – The Warriors and the Rocketeers were knotted at 153 apiece through four cards but Jack Watts’ round of 40 won the five-card tiebreaker to give Foxboro the win. Jack Rounds had the low-round for the visitors at 37 while Louie Cavangelo fired a 38, and both Reese Curreri and Matt Fossella came in at 39. North Attleboro’s Tyson Laviano was the match medalist with a match-low round of 34 while Jake Gaskin added a 37 for the Big Red.

Taunton, 194 @ Franklin, 166 – Final – Franklin defense its home course and won its second match in as many days with a win over on Wednesday over visiting Taunton. Three Panthers shared medalist honors as CJ Steel, Ben Paterson, and Caroline Woelfel all shot a 41 in the win while Brendan Collins rounded out the scoring with a 43. Logan Letourneau paced Taunton with a round of 46.
