Boys Soccer
Canton, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 7 – FinalOliver Ames built a two-goal lead in the first half then poured in five more inside the final 20 minutes of the game to earn a big win over Canton. Casey Milliken opened the scoring with his 19th goal of the season and then set up Mirray DaSilva for his fifth goal of the season to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead. DaSilva added one more in the second half while Andrew Martins and Braeden Blass each scored twice. Milliken added two assists while Joey Carney, Diego Rivera, and Jackson Macomber each had one.

Stoughton, 4 vs. Norwood – FinalAfter a scoreless first half, Stoughton found the back of the net four times to earn a big win over visiting Norwood. Kyle Grant had a hat trick to lead the Knights and assisted on the other goal, scored by Alex Kozak. Sam Santos set up Grant twice while Matheus Groberio had the other assist.

Girls Soccer
Canton, 4 @ Oliver Ames, 2 – FinalCanton came into Friday having not won in the past five games and the Bulldogs fell behind after just three minutes, but they came storming back behind an Emily McCabe brace to beat the league leaders. Jolie Diaz set up Lucinda Li Cotter for a quick opening goal for the Tigers, but Canton answered with two straight to take the lead. Mekhala Costello equalized with an unassisted goal and Paige Sullivan made it 2-2, assisted by Emma Cahill. Taylor deVos would level the match again from the spot, after Sophia Byron’s corner led to a handball in the box. McCabe scored what turned out to be the game-winner after she drew a foul in the penalty area and converted from the spot. McCabe would seal the win off an assist by Sarah Dempster. It was a high-paced game from start to finish and Canton coach Idris Senyonjo is hoping this can give his team some momentum to finish the regular season.

Attleboro, 0 @ King Philip, 5 – FinalKP scored four times in the second half to seal its third win of the week and move back within a point of first-place Franklin with two league games remaining. Ella Pisani got the opener four minutes into the match, on a feed from Addisyn Lamothe-Vaughn. Dani Lomuscio scored to double the KP lead after 57 minutes and then Heidi Lawrence scored twice within a minute to put the game away. Ally Pochay added an unassisted goal in the final minute. Lamothe-Vaughn finished with two assists, while Lomuscio and Pisani each finished with two points.

Franklin, 2 @ Walpole, 6 – FinalIn a battle of two of the top teams in the entire state, Walpole earned a 6-2 win over the Panthers. Franklin thought it scored first when a deflected shot found the back of the net but the shot was ruled dangerous and the goal was wiped off. Walpole took a 1-0 lead into halftime before Kaitlyn Carney found the back of the net to make it 1-1. The Porkers scored back-to-backs but the Panthers got one back before the end of the third when Shaw Downing redirected a shot from Carney to make it 3-2. Walpole won the fourth quarter to pull away with the win.




Volleyball
Oliver Ames, 3 @ Bridgewater-Raynham, 0 – FinalFor the second time this season, Oliver Ames earned a win over Bridgewater-Raynham, this time doing it on the road with a 3-0 sweep (25-29, 25-14, 25-22). Sophomore Clare Kavolius dished out 28 assists to set the offense in motion, Sarah Hilliard led the charge with 18 kills, Maddie Homer (19 digs) and Claire O’Rourke (15 digs, four aces) anchored the defense, and junior Isabel Domenico played well at the net.

Canton, 3 vs. Westwood, 2 – FinalAfter dropping the first set, Canton rallied to win two in a row — including a close third set — and then bounced back in the fifth to capture the match, 3-2 (14-25, 25-22, 28-26, 20-25, 15-10). Freshman Erin Bigham had a breakout match for the Bulldogs, dishing out 32 assists to go along with 12 digs, four aces, and a block. Junior Jess Wright continued her strong all-around play with 20 kills, 16 digs, three blocks, and two aces while sophomore Kaitlin Bigham added five kills and a pair of blocks. Sophomore Zoe Scibelli played well with 22 digs and five aces.

Foxboro, 3 vs. Braintree, 0 – FinalFoxboro defended home court with its second win over Braintree this season, earning a 3-0 (25-19, 26-24, 25-15) win over the Wamps. Juliana Pettigrew and Sami Sloan each had eight kills while Mallorie Meyer added seven kills to pace the offense. Alyssa Cloherty dished out 23 assists to go along with three kills and three aces, and Shannon McElhinney added 16 digs in the win.

King Philip, 3 @ Medway, 0 – FinalKing Philip earned a season sweep of Medway, running away with a big 3-0 (25-12, 25-20, 25-11) win on the road over the Mustangs to move to 16-2 on the year. Ava Kelley (eight digs) and Ahunna James (10 digs, seven kills) took care of business defensively while Sami Shore (eight kills), Emily Sawyer (seven kills, four digs, three blocks), and Olivia O’Neil (four kills, two aces) led the offense.

Attleboro, 3 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalAttleboro junior Alex Vecchioli scored twice and assisted on a third to lead the Bombardiers to a bounce-back win on the road at Taunton. Vecchioli opened the scoring in the first half, finishing off an assist from Billy Badger to put the visitors ahead 1-0, which they took into halftime. Vecchioli set up the next goal, finding Steve Etienne who scored to make it 2-0. Clay Tyler assisted on Attleboro’s final goal, connecting with Vecchioli, who buried his fourth goal of the week.

King Philip, 1 @ Milford, 3 – Final A goal-filled first half favored Milford and that was all the scoring in the contest as the Scarlet Hawks staked a 3-1 win over King Philip. The teams traded goals to start as Milford took a 1-0 lead when Eduardo Santana found Mathias Felipe for the opener but King Philip leveled on a goal from Matt Crago, assisted by Dermott Amorim. Santana put the Hawks back ahead, finishing off a corner from Arthur Tome, and then right before the halftime whistle, John Borges found Nick Ribeiro, who squeezed one in from a tough angle.

Sharon, 2 @ Mansfield, 1 – FinalSharon scored a pair of goals inside a five-minute span in the second half to secure two points in a win over Mansfield. The Hornets took the lead 10 minutes into the game when Cooper Austin headed in a corner kick from Tyler Znoj for a 1-0 lead, an advantage that Mansfield carried into halftime. In the second half, Palash Raina headed in the equalizer off a cross from Rishi Shetty. Just four minutes later, Cam Birnbaum ran onto a through ball from Adam Eastman and finished for the eventual game-winner. Znoj, Austin, Derek McGrath, Dylan Mullin, Marco Germiniani, and Lucas deSousa played well for Mansfield.




Girls Soccer
Taunton, 0 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalNeither team could find the back of the net in a game where the advantage depended on who had the wind at their backs. Taunton keeper Hayleigh Porter made nine saves to earn the first clean sheet of her career, while Alexis Campbell played well to get her first clean sheet this season. Christina Da Costa, Cali Melo, and Jenna Pereira all played strong games in Taunton’s defense, while Emily Calderon and Juliana Matos sparked the Taunton attack in the second half. Eighth graders Kaylee Lopes, Maddie Crowley, and Lia Abouyazbek also impressed for the Tigers.

Stoughton, 0 @ Foxboro, 0 – FinalFoxboro and Stoughton played to a scoreless draw at Sam Berns Community Field. The Warriors created a few chances through forward Erin Foley, but couldn’t find the finishing touch. Allie Sougaris made several important stops in the second half and earned her second clean sheet of the season for Foxboro.

North Attleboro, 0 @ Franklin, 1 – Final

Rachel DeFlaminis scored a second half hat trick and Mikalyla Thompson finished with three assists to lead the Warriors to a big win at home. Ella Pisani’s brace had KP up 2-0 in the first half (her fifth and sixth goals in the past two games), but Milford cut the lead in half when Dani Atherton’s cross wasn’t cleared and Erin Michelson finished from close range. KP was able to score in the final minute of the half to restore its two-goal lead, as Kylie Menendez finished off a pass from Thompson. Heidi Lawrence added two goals, Ally Pochay scored on a Danielle Gresham corner, and Dani Lomuscio (two assists) slipped a pass through to DeFlaminis to make it 7-1 just 12 minutes into the second half. DeFlaminis would score twice more, one off an assist from Menendez, to wrap up the scoring.

King Philip, 1 @ Westwood, 2 – FinalKing Philip put up a great fight but fell on the road in a non-league tilt at Westwood. Kelly Holmes scored the lone goal for the Warriors while Maggie Murphy had a great game defensively in front of goalie Haley Bright (16 saves).

Attleboro, 3 @ Bridgewater-Raynham, 0 – FinalAttleboro rolled to a 2-0 lead and then closed out the sweep with a competitive third set over Bridgewater-Raynham (25-14, 25-7, 25-23). Mary Katherine Runey called it a “full team effort” in the win. Natalie Brojek notched 26 assists and six aces, Julia Leonardo recorded 13 kills and five aces, and Addie Shelton chipped in with seven kills and four aces.

Golf
Attleboro, 176 @ King Philip, 151 – FinalKing Philip’s Cameron Hasenfus carded three birdies in a medalist round to lead the Warriors past Attleboro. Hasenfus birded on the second hole and then back-to-back on seven and eight to finished with a medalist round of 34. Anthony Fraone shot a 37, Jason Silva added a 39, and Gavin Croke rounded out the scoring with a 41.

Mansfield, 177 @ Sharon, 178 – Final Mansfield senior Drew Urban fired a team-low round of 42 and the Hornets left the Cape Club of Sharon with a one-stroke victory over the Eagles. Brendan Vokey added a 44, Davon Sanders shot a 45, and Jason Friedman rounded out the scoring with a 46.

Anderson won both the 200 free (2:18.46) and the 500 free (6:28.17) while Arquillano touched first in the 200 IM (2:07.06) and the 100 fly (55.05). Anderson joined Ben Prezza, Aaron McIaac, and Ethan Fielder to take first in the 200 free relay while Arquillano was apart of the winning 200 medley relay team with Correy Rattray, Prezza, and Jack Weiner. Weiner was also an individual winner, taking first in the 100 free (57.28). Mansfield picked up wins from Kevin McCarthy (50 free), Xavier Gwynne (100 back), and Ryan Morley (100 breaststroke).

Girls Swimming
Mansfield, 50 @ Milford, 90 – FinalMilford won a pair of relays and had five swimmers take first in individual races in a win over Mansfield. Maddie Stochaj won the 200 free, Latichcia Silva touched first in the 200 IM, Caitlyn Bangart took first in the 100 fly, Laysa Cuna won the 100 free, and Elizabeth O’Connor won the 500 free for the Hawks. The team of Emily Daudlelin, Vedi Raval, O’Connor, and Lalagui clocked in at 2:38.12 to win the 200 medley relay, and the team of Stochaj, Abigail Annantuoino, Cuna, and Bangert clocked in first for the 200 free relay. Mansfield got wins from senior captain Sofia Seifert (50 free, 100 breaststroke) and freshman Caroline Dalton (100 backstroke) and the 400 free relay team of Caitlyn Zajac, Cailtin Wagner, Lauren Morley, and Alexis O’Keefe. Caitlin Zajac took first place in the diving competition.

Mansfield, 74 @ Milford, 16 – FinalMansfield swept three events and took first place in six other events, including both relays, to run away with a big win over Milford. Jake Wall was once again a triple winner for the Hornets, taking first in the 55M, the long jump, and the high jump. Chamberlain Guthrie Jr. and Isaiah Kinds added key points by rounding out the 55M dash. Nate Kablik led a sweep in the 300M followed by classmates Grady Sullivan and Nolan Clarke while Riley Tremblay, Austin Tremblay and Clark Mackin took the top three spots for Mansfield in the 1000M race. Mansfield also got wins from Thomas Giudicianni (600M) and Chris Leonard (1 Mile). Senior James Comisky took first in the 2 Mile and Marco Monteiro won the shot put for the Hawks.

Franklin, 89 @ Attleboro, 11 – FinalFranklin swept all nine points (first three spots) in five events on its way to a big win over Attleboro. Jillian Fenerty won a pair of races, taking first in both the 55M dash and the 300M, the latter a complete sweep with Sophia Cuneo and Alexandrea Pond taking second and third, respectively. Franklin also swept the 1000M led by Allison Powderly’s first place finish, the 2 Mile highlighted by Colleen Golden’s win, the shot put with Darby Nicholson taking first, and the high jump with Ava Fraulo winning with a leap of 5-02.00. Attleboro’s Jahela Douglas took first in the long jump at 14-08.00.

King Philip, 31 @ Taunton, 60 – FinalSweeps in the 300M, the 1000M, and the 1 Mile, as well as a pair of relay wins, helped Taunton earn key points in a win over King Philip. Phylicia Dias won the 300M followed by Brooke Aldrich and Giovanna Guarino, Colby Dunham took first in the 1000M followed by teammates Falynn Faria and Arianna Abbatangelo, and Emersyn Deponte was the winning in the 1 Mile race with teammates Kiley Quinlan and Sarah Mendonca rounding out the top three spots. Caelen O’Leary added a win in the 600M race for the Tigers. Isabelle Watson won both the high jump and the long jump for King Philip while Hannah Crocker took first in the shot put, Madeline Hill won the 55M hudles, and Ally Pochay was the winner in the 55M dash.

Franklin, 4 @ Needham, 3 – FinalFranklin had four different players light the lamp as the Panthers skated to a win on the road over Needham. Aidan Linehan opened the scoring for the Panthers, who were tied 1-1 after one period of action. Goals from Ryan Sicchio, Dylan Marchand, and Anthony Lampasona pushed Franklin’s advantage to 4-1 in the second period. Needham made it a two-goal game before the end of the second and added another in the third but the Panthers held on.

Girls Hockey
King Philip, 7 vs. Norwell, 3 – FinalKing Philip exploded for four goals in the final period to earn its second straight win to start the season. Kelly Holmes scored a hat trick to pace the offense while Morgan Cunningham added a pair of goals. Sydney O’Shea and Catie Putt each scored once in the win.

Boys Indoor Track (@ Wheaton College)
Mansfield, 61 @ Taunton, 38 – FinalUniversity of Michigan-commit Jake Wall picked up right where he left off, winning three events to help Mansfield take down Taunton in the season opener for both teams. Wall won the 55M hurdles (7.95), the high jump (5-04.00), and the long jump (22-03.00). Sophomore Chamberlain Guthrie Jr. and senior Isaiah Kinds followed at second and third in the long jump to give the Hornets the sweep. Chamberlain and Kinds also teamed with Nate Kablik and Nolan Clarke to win the 2×400 relay in 1:44.34 Other winners for Mansfield included Kablik in the 55M dash (6.99), Chris Leonard in the 1000M (2:51.40), Riley Tremblay in the 1 Mile (4:49.01), and Collin Stevens in the 2 Mile (10:41.11). Taunton’s Conal Scully won the 600M with a PR of 1:27.13 and was a member of the winning 4×400 relay team (3:41.46) along with Aidden Fitting, Andrew Cali, and Brayden Cali.

King Philip, 36 @ Attleboro, 64 – Final Attleboro took first place in seven events and swept both the shot put and the 600M to take a win over King Philip in a meet held at Wheaton College. Chris Leonardo (43-11.00), Isaac Pereira, Isaiah Traore, and Ethan Gattoni took the top four spots in the shot put for the Bombardiers while sophomores Nicolas Graber (1:36.36), Jacob Blazek (1:37.10), and Sean Kaswale (1:37.13) swept the 600M. Senior Kaiden Murray was a big winner for Attleboro, taking first in the 55M dash (6.89), the 55M hurdles (8.98), and the long jump (18-02.00).

Foxboro, 58 @ Canton, 33 – FinalJunior Daniel O’Malley took first in a pair of events and the Warriors won eight events overall, including both relays, to get a win over Canton. O’Malley set a PR with his win in the 300M at 40.65 and then took first in the long jump at 17-09.50. Senior Jared Ciora won the 600M in 1:36.81, junior Brooks Stone took first in the 1000M in 2:57.76, senior Nicolas Olson won the 2 Mile in 10:48.45, and junior Joe Flanagan won the shot put with a toss of 37-11.00.

Mansfield, 76.33 @ Taunton, 23.66 – Final

King Philip, 56 @ Attleboro, 43 – Final – King Philip swept the 55M dash and took the top two spots in three over events to open the season with a win over KP. Grace Lawler (7.84), Ahunna James, and Ally Pochay took the top three spots in the 55M dash, Isabelle Watson (10.94) and Madeline Hill were first and second in the 55M hurdles, Kate O’Neil (30-04.75) and James took the top two spots in the shot put, and James (4-10.00) and Watson tied for first in the high jump. Watson also won the long jump for the Warriors with a leap of 14-09.50. Attleboro swept the 600M race with junior Rebecca Rainey winning in 1:52.96 followed by Madison Ellis and Emily Dunlea. Other winners for Attleboro included freshman Julia Leonardo in the 300M (48.33), freshman Emelia Smith in the 1000M (3:37.11), and junior Kacey Parker in the 1 Mile (6:25.41).

Foxboro, 36.5 @ Canton, 62.5 – FinalCanton got a big boost by sweeping a pair of field events and had five different individual winners to knock off Foxboro. Junior Emma Messih won the shot put at 26-01.50 with seniors Maeve Morrissey and Fiona Miller taking second and third. Sophomore Katherine Oliver (14-00.00) won the long jump with Gabby Herivaux and Kiley Hanlon rounding out the top three for the dogs. Hanlon won the 55M dash (7.99), junior Syriah McCruse took first in the 300M (48.64), and senior Ella Lewis earned key points at the high jump at 4-06.00.
