Taunton, 1 @ Sharon, 5 – Final – Click here for a photo gallery of this game. – Sharon senior Brandon Mauricio bagged a brace and the Eagles exploded for four second half goals to start the season with a 5-1 decision over visiting Taunton. The second half started with fireworks as the teams combined for three goals in the opening 10 minutes. Senior Adam Eastman delivered a free kick into the area from just over midfield that saw classmate Rhys Davis rise up and meet with his head and play it to the far post. But just moments later, the Eagles were back ahead by two. Eastman played a perfectly paced through ball to Shetty, who made a diagonal run past the defense and calmly finished past the keeper. Miguel Vasconcelos added a fourth for the Eagles on a pass from sophomore James Jennings, and Eastman was credited for the fifth goal as his corner was knocked in for an own goal.
