Baseball
North Attleboro, 9 @ Attleboro, 1 – Final – A seven-run second inning plus a masterful performance on the mound from senior David Floyd led the Rocketeers to a rivalry win over Attleboro. Floyd tossed a complete game one-hitter, striking out seven for the win. He had a no-hitter through 5.2 innings. Offensively, Christian Bates (three RBI) had a two-run double and Danny Curran (two hits) added a two-run single in North’s big second inning. Tyler Bannon also had two hits for North, including a double.

Canton, 3 @ Milford, 5 – Final – Sophomore Sean McGee had a pair of hits while junior Evan Cornelius and sophomore Anthony LaPierre got it done on the mound as Milford upended Canton. McGee had an RBI and scored a run to pace the Hawks’ offense. Cornelius scattered five hits and three walks in five innings of work, striking out six with two earned runs allowed. LaPierre allowed just one run over the final two innings, striking out three.

Foxboro @ Mansfield – Postponed to TBD.

Oliver Ames, 4 @ Franklin, 10 – Final – Franklin set the tone early with three runs in the bottom of the first and then tacked on four more in the second to secure a win over visiting Oliver Ames. Franklin took advantage of an error and a walk to get RBI singles from Chris Goode (3-for-3, three RBI), Jace Lyons (3-for-3, two RBI), and Ben Jarosz to seize a 3-0 lead. Jack Muir had a hit and a run scored to help OA (seven errors) cut the deficit to one run but Franklin came right back with four runs, all with two outs, to break it open. Goode knocked in Luke Sidwell and Ryan Gerety (two hits, two runs), and a drop third strike allowed Goode and Evan Raider to score to make it 7-2. Sophomore Austin Campbell earned the win in relief, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks in three innings of work. Ethan Voellmicke tossed two scoreless innings in relief, striking out three with one hit allowed.

Softball
North Attleboro, 0 @ Attleboro, 2 – Final – Click here for a Photo Gallery from this game. Lily Routhier threw a four-hit shutout, struck out six, and scored both runs to lead Attleboro to a win over rival North Attleboro. Kelly Colleran struck out 13 batters in the loss, including striking out the side in three separate innings. She also had one of North’s three hits, an infield single in the first inning. Attleboro broke the deadlock in the bottom of the fourth. Routhier led off the inning by beating out a single on a slow roller to short and then took second when a pitch got to the backstop. Lauren Eby then ripped a single to center, bringing in Routhier with what turned out to be the game-winning run. With two outs in the fifth, Julia Forman lined a single to right and stole second but Routhier got a strikeout to end the inning. Lindsey Perry got to third in the bottom half of the fifth, but Colleran got a groundout to Shaelyn Burns at third to end the threat. North had the heart of the order due up in the sixth. Ally Levine drew a lead-off walk, but Colleran hit a deep fly to center for the first out. Levine tried to steal second, but Attleboro catcher Destani Miranda threw a strike to get her for the second out. Zoe McDonough followed with a ground-rule double to left but a groundout ended the rally. Routhier started the bottom of the sixth with a line drive single to right and Eby followed with one of her own. After Routhier moved to third, Sarah Maher placed a perfect bunt between Colleran and Burns for an infield single and a crucial insurance run. Perry came up with a big diving grab on a liner to start the seventh and prevent a North rally.

Milford, 7 @ Canton, 1 – Final – Highlighted by a pair of home runs, Milford exploded for six runs in the fourth inning to get a win on the road at Canton. Freshman Cae Pellegrini (two hits) smacked her first career home run and freshman Jianna Fernandes (two hits, two runs) launched a two-run home run, the first of her career. Sophomore Camille Bonina (two hits) cleared the bases with a single to right in the same inning to push the lead to 6-0. Senior Gianna Cacciola added two hits for the Scarlet Hawks. Sophomore Maeve Driscoll went 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and a stolen base and also pitched four innings, striking out five with four hits allowed. Senior Olivia Morelli didn’t allow an earned run in three innings of work, striking out two.

Mansfield @ Foxboro – Postponed to TBD.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Franklin, 8 – Final – Oliver Ames scored three runs in the bottom of the first to take a 3-1 lead but Franklin scored once in each the second and fourth to tie it, and then scored five runs over the fifth and six innings to get the win. Lexi Galsband brought in OA’s first run with a squeeze bunt and Katie Melendy and Katherine Farley followed with an RBI each to make it 3-1. Dana Stott had an RBI single to cut the deficit in half and and Aislinn Lavery brought in the tying run to make it 3-3. In the top of the fifth, Reece Allen smacked an RBI double and Kiera Kotwicki drove in a second run to put the Panthers ahead 5-3. In the top of the sixth, the Panthers pushed across three runs to extend the lead to 8-3. Kotwicki got the win in the circle, scattering four hits in four innings of work while Lavery tossed three scoreless innings in relief, striking out two without allowing a hit. Freshman Emily Martin had two hits and a run scored for the Tigers.

Taunton, 29 @ Sharon, 0 – Final (5 inn.) – Taunton hit four home runs as a team to bounce back from its first loss in three years. Brooke Aldrich led the way for the Tigers with five hits, a homer, four runs scored, and a pair of RBI. Hayley Krockta had four hits, four runs scored, and three RBI. Ava Venturelli was 2-for-2 with a triple, a homer, three RBI, and three runs scored, while Kaysie Demoura had three hits, a homer, five RBI, and four runs. Lead-off hitter Angie Lynch got on base three times, had three RBI, and three runs. Kylie Thorpe had three hits, Katelyn Bizarro had two hits, including a homer, and Kyleah Plumb had a pair of hits.




Girls Lacrosse
Sharon, 7 vs. Norwood, 17 – Final – Anna Hertzel had a hat trick and an assist to lead the Eagles attack. Keira Ledyard had two goals, while Athena Merck and Bailey Garte each scored once. Tess Letendre played well in goal, making 12 saves.

Boys Tennis
Attleboro, 1 @ North Attleboro, 4 – Final – North Attleboro swept all three singles matches and tacked on another win from doubles action to take down rival Attleboro. Senior Will Folan earned a 6-2, 6-3 win at first singles, junior Brody Carter grabbed a 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles, and freshman Darren Liang emerged with a 6-1, 6-0 win at third singles. North Attleboro added its fourth point via the team of sophomore Caleb Cheney and senior Aashman Gupta, who battled to a 6-1, 7-6 (10-8) win at second doubles. Attleboro’s first doubles team of Tyler Rocchio and Kyle Neuendorf grabbed another win, this time 7-5, 6-1.

Milford, 0 @ Canton, 5 – Final – Freshman Justin Ngan earned the first victory of his career, highlighting Canton’s 5-0 sweep over visiting Milford. Ngan picked up the win at third singles in a well-played match against Milford freshman Cory Rattray. Canton’s Austin Lee and Jad Antoun also grabbed their first win, taking the victory at second doubles.

Mansfield, 4 @ Foxboro, 1 – Final – Mansfield’s strong singles play continued on Friday, this time getting a sweep of Foxboro plus another victory from doubles action to get the 4-1 win. Freshman Neema Khosravani won a hard-fought match at first singles (6-3, 6-4), junior Benson Delany moved into singles play and secured a 6-1, 6-2 win at second singles, and Nikhil Nain grabbed a 6-0, 6-1 win at third singles. Mansfield also got a win from the doubles team of Lura Meyer and Nathan Cote (6-1, 6-2). Foxboro’s Josh Weiner and Jacob Weiner grabbed a 6-3, 6-4 win at first doubles.

Franklin, 4 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – Final – Franklin won a pair of singles matches and a pair of doubles matches, all in straight sets, to get a win on the road in Easton. Senior Vayshnav Malhotra didn’t drop a set in a 6-0, 6-0 first singles victory while senior Thomas Broyles was victorious 6-3, 6-2 at second singles for the Panthers. Sameen Shaik and Tyler Fitzpatrick earned a clean 6-0, 6-0 win at first doubles, and the Panthers got a 6-2, 6-1 win from the second doubles tandem of senior Tim O’Keefe and sophomore Jay Gorgas. Oliver Ames senior Raphael Vache prevailed in a marathon third singles match, 6-1, 1-6, 7-6 (1).

Girls Tennis
North Attleboro, 3 @ Attleboro, 2 – Final – A singles sweep proved to be enough for North Attleboro in a close battle with rival Attleboro. Sophomore Lauren Hunt grabbed a 6-3, 6-1 win at first singles, junior Grace Noreck secured a 6-4, 6-1 win at second singles, and senior Krithika Mood completed the singles sweep with a 6-4, 6-4 victory. Attleboro’s first doubles team of seniors Tina Lam and Saharla Yusuf won 6-2, 6-2, and the tandem of sophomores Kyra Johnson and Presley Biller emerged with a 6-3, 6-4 decision.

Canton, 5 @ Milford, 0 – Final – Canton’s Laura Correal won a third set tiebreaker at third singles to help the Bulldogs complete a 5-0 sweep on the road at Milford. Correal took a 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 win, Camila Cutter secured a 6-3, 6-0 win at first singles, and Kelli Woodworth was victorious, 6-3, 6-0, at third singles. The team of Olivia Durham and Grace Powers earned a 6-3, 6-2 win at first doubles, while the Canton second doubles tandem of Olivia Maloney and Allie Wong grabbed a 6-2, 6-1 win.

Foxboro, 4 @ Mansfield, 1 – Final – Foxboro won all three singles matches in straight sets, and took another point with a third set tiebreaker in doubles play to take down Mansfield. Athena Li continued to roll with a 6-0, 6-0 win, Hailey Kornbluth secured a 6-0, 6-1 win at second singles, and Makayla Peck completed the singles sweep with a 6-0, 7-5 third singles victory. Abby Costa and Juliana Preston added a 6-3, 6-0 victory at first doubles for the Warriors. The team of Jillian Hanley and Savannah Carey rallied for a 5-7, 6-3, 10-7 win at second doubles for the Hornets.

Oliver Ames, 1 @ Franklin, 4 – Final – Anchored by a sweep of singles action, Franklin defended home court to knock off the visiting Tigers of Oliver Ames. Vedika Vinayak prevailed with a 6-4, 6-2 win at first singles, Izzy Trull added a 6-0, 6-2 win at second singles, and Sarah Schiavo won 6-2, 6-2 at third singles for the Panthers. The team of Chloe Essam and Sydney Tolonen added another win for Franklin, taking the second doubles match by a score of 6-1, 6-2. Oliver Ames’ first doubles tandem of Morgan Vasiliou and Caroline Peper notched a 6-1, 6-1 win.

Sharon, 5 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Sharon went on the road and won all five matches in straight sets to bounce back from a close loss on Thursday. Navya Shukla secured a 6-3, 6-1 win at first singles, Judy Song earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory at second singles, and Abby Vilk grabbed a 6-0, 6-1 win at third singles. Sharon swept both doubles matches with Olivia Landstein and Alice Zaniewski taking first doubles, 6-3, 6-2.

Baseball
Attleboro, 4 @ Oliver Ames, 5 – Final – In a back-and-forth contest, Oliver Ames senior Patrick Finnerty drove in the game-winning run with the bases loaded to give the Tigers the walk-off win over Attleboro. The visitors took the lead in the top of the first inning after stealing a pair of bases. Oliver Ames responded with three runs in the bottom of the third as Finnerty and Jake Waxman drew back-to-back walks with the bases loaded and Ian Kelly scored on a wild pitch to make it 3-1. The top of the sixth inning saw Attleboro rally for three runs and go back ahead. In the bottom of the seventh, Nathanial Lewis and Nathan Carpentier walked and Joe Cicchetti was hit by a pitch to load the bases with no outs. Kelly drew OA’s 10th walk to tie the game and then Finnerty delivered a single to center for the win. Junior Andrew Zagami earned the win in relief with six strike outs. Nick Clark allowed one run on one hit and four walks in four innings of work for OA.

Franklin, 7 @ Canton, 1 – Final – Franklin cashed in on a handful of extra base hits and senior Jacob Jette picked up where he left off last season on the mound in the Panthers’ win on the road. Jette didn’t allow an earned run in 5.1 innings of work, striking out five with two hits and two walks allowed. Jake Shaughnessy and Austin Campbell combined for 1.2 innings of scoreless relief. Offensively, Ryan Gerety (two hits, two runs, RBI) and Eisig Chin (two hits, two RBI, run) each had a triple while Chris Goode (RBI) and Evan Raider (run) each had a double. Jack Marino added an RBI and two runs and sophomore Henry Digiorgio had a hit and a run scored.

King Philip, 15 @ Foxboro, 6 – Final – Tied 3-3 after two innings, King Philip exploded for seven two-out runs in the top of the third inning and never looked back for a season-opening win over Foxboro. With the bases loaded and two outs in the third, Tommy Martorano singled to bring in Rudy Gately (two runs) and Matt DiFore. Eli Reed scored on a single from Travis Crawford (three hits, two runs, two RBI), and Shawn Legere (three RBI, four runs) tripled to clear the bases. Gately got the win on the bump, allowing five runs (one earned) on six hits and one walk, striking out nine. Matt Kelley, who drove in three runs with a pair of hits, struck out two in an inning of relief. For Foxboro, Ryan LeClair (RBI, two runs) and Sean O’Leary (two RBI) each had three hits, helping the Warriors take a 3-2 lead after an inning. Freshman Nolan Gordon had a strong showing in relief for Foxboro, allowing two runs (none earned) on one hit and two walks, striking out five in 2.1 innings of work.

Mansfield, 4 @ North Attleboro, 5 – Final (13 inn.) – North Attleboro senior Brody Rosenberg drew a one-out walk in the bottom of the 13th inning and worked his way around the bases on a pair of errors, scoring the game-winning in a marathon game season opener for both teams. Mansfield opened the scoring with a run in the top of the first on a sacrifice fly from Jimmy Gilleran but North took control with three runs in the bottom half of the inning, an RBI single from Danny Curran, an RBI single from Rosenberg, and Curran scoring on a passed ball. Mansfield cut into the lead with a run in the third (Jake Maydak RBI) and a run in the fifth (Gilleran RBI single) to tie the game. The Hornets went ahead in the top of the sixth on a solo home run from Jared Fraone (3-for-3, three runs) to left field but North answered in the bottom half (Tyler Bannon sac fly) to make it 4-4. Sophomore Connor Curtis was stellar in relief for the Hornets, pitching seven innings with one (unearned) run allowed on three hits and no walks, striking out seven. Derek Maceda got the win for the Rocketeers with two scoreless innings of relief, allowing one hit with a pair of strikeouts.

Sharon, 1 @ Milford, 8 – Final – Junior Tyler Caldon allowed just two hits and walked three while striking out nine to lead the Scarlet Hawks to a win over Sharon. Caldon allowed just one earned run in six innings of work for the win. Damien Carter, who tossed a scoreless inning in relief with one strikeout, had a pair of hits and two runs scored, Ian Carter went 4-for-4 with three RBI and one run scored, and Evan Cornelius added a pair of hits, a pair of runs scored and one RBI.

Softball
Oliver Ames, 1 @ Attleboro, 9 – Final – Lily Routhier made a big splash in her debut for the Bombardiers, getting the win in the circle as well as a big performance at the plate. She tossed a complete game with just one earned run allowed on two hits. At the dish, she went 4-for-4 with two runs scored. Sarah Mayer added three hits and scored twice while Rylie Camacho had one hit, reached twice more, and scored twice. For OA, Caitlin Miller went 2-for-3 with an RBI while Crystalia Covel scored a run and had a stolen base. Katie Melendy pitched five innings for OA with four runs allowed while Taylor Marino pitched the sixth inning with one run allowed.

Canton, 0 @ Franklin, 12 – Final (5 inn.) – Aislinn Lavery set the tone in the circle and at the plate for the Panthers, who opened the season with a big win over visiting Canton. Lavery allowed just one hit with six strikeouts in five innings of work, and then led off the game with a triple and scored on a fielder’s choice from Julia White. Carly Pellegri aded three hits, including a double, with four RBI and three runs scored, Katy Liberman had two hits, including a double, and two RBI, and Avery Chalk added two hits. Freshman Sarah Boozang had an RBI single to score Reece Allen (triple).

Foxboro, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – Freshman Liv Petrillo’s first career hit proved to be a big one for King Philip, a triple in the bottom of the sixth that broke a scoreless tie and drove in the game-winning run. In a scoreless game in the bottom of the sixth, sophomore Taylor Regan slapped a double and senior Mia Bennett was hit by a pitch to put runners on first and second. Petrillo drilled a line drive to right for a two-run triple to put KP ahead 2-0. Sophomore Maddie Paschke laid down the squeeze bunt to bring Petrillo in to make it 3-0. Senior Emma Sheehan tossed a complete game one-hitter for KP, striking out seven without issuing a walk. Foxboro freshman Vittoria Cuscia was impressive in the circle, holding KP without a run for the first five innings. She finished with seven strikeouts.

North Attleboro, 5 @ Mansfield, 3 – Final – Kelly Colleran went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI and Zoey McDonough struck out 12, as North pulled out a road win in the season opener. The Rocketeers opened the scoring with a three-run third. Colleran doubled to plate Julia Forman and Grace Simmons and then came home on a two-out single by Shaelyn Burns. Ally Levine led off the fifth with a double and scored on a two-run homer by Colleran, which turned out to be the game winner. Mansfield rallied with two runs in the fifth. Jill Koppy walked to lead off the inning and stole second. Bunts from Liv Madeira and Sydney Fernando loaded the bases and Callie Lake brought in a pair with a single. The Hornets loaded the bases again but couldn’t get a two-out hit to keep the rally going. Mansfield added a run in the bottom of the seventh. Fernando walked to get things started and Cat Kipp singled. Madeira drove in a run with a single. Casey Moussette and Alanna Conley reached on fielder’s choices to load the bases but again the Hornets weren’t able to get a two-out hit off McDonough. Amanda Schwarz made her varsity debut for Mansfield, striking out three and giving up eight hits. Emma Hanwell and Burns both made nice plays in the field to help the Rocketeers pull out the victory.

Sharon, 3 @ Milford, 4 – Final (8 inn.) – Milford rallied for two runs in the fifth inning to tie the game and then sophomore Maeve Williams delivered the game-winning hit with an RBI single to give the Scarlet Hawks a walk-off win in extra innings. Milford took a 1-0 lead in the second on a double from freshman Cae Pellegrini followed by a pair of sacrifice bunts. Sharon responded in the third and fourth to go ahead 4-1 before the Hawks brought the game level game. In the eighth, freshman Jianna Fernandes led off with a walk, stole second, and scored on Williams’ hit up the middle. Pellegrini and senior Gianna Cacciola both played well defensively while sophomore Maeve Driscoll got the win with five innings in relief, striking out eight with no earned runs allowed on four hits. Sharon’s Trinity Payne struck out 18 batters in the loss.

Stoughton, 0 @ Taunton 13 – Final (5 inn.) – Taunton got its offense going with three runs in the first inning and scored in each of the next three innings, including a seven-run bottom of the fourth to open the season with a big win. Junior Kaysie DeMoura (RBI, two runs) led the charge with three hits while classmates Ava Venturelli (two RBI, double, two stolen bases), Hayley Krockta, Kyleah Plumb (three RBI, triple, double), and senior Kylie Thorpe (triple, RBI) each had two hits. Senior Liv Mendonca struck out three with two hits allowed in four shutout innings while freshman Catherine Larson fanned one with one hit allowed in an inning of relief. Stoughton’s Sydney Menz had a double and a spectacular catch in center field, robbing the Tigers of a home run. Alyssa Edwards (double) and Maddie Hinds also had a hit for the Black Knights.




Boys Lacrosse
Attleboro, 2 @ Franklin, 22 – Final – Franklin exploded for nine goals in the opening quarter and never looked back in its first game of the season. Junior Jayden Consigli scored six goals and classmates Luke Davis and Tyler Sacchetti each added four apiece, all in the first half. Sophomore CJ Perro and junior Will Buckley each scored twice in the second half for the Panthers.

Canton, 16 @ Milford, 5 – Final – Canton’s Sam Carlino scored six goals and set up six more to lead the Bulldogs to a season-opening win on the road at Milford. Brendan Tourgee added four goals in the win along with one assist, Eddie Gillis scored a hat trick and added one helper, and Pat Drury (two goals, five assists) and Jeff Chaput (two goals, two assists) both had big games for the Bulldogs. Freshman Ben Miller played well in net, earning his first career win.

Foxboro, 7 @ North Attleboro, 9 – Final

Sharon, 1 @ King Philip, 13 – Final – King Philip raced out to a 7-0 lead by halftime and pulled away with six more goals in the second half to open the season with a win over Sharon. Ben Riggs paced the offense with three goals while Thomas Brewster, Sean Crowther, and Nolan Feyler each scored twice. James Boldy made 12 saves in net to earn the win for KP.

Girls Lacrosse
Franklin, 21 @ Attleboro, 1 – Final

Milford, 8 @ Canton, 9 – Final – Canton built a 6-2 lead at halftime and then held off a second half comeback attempt from Milford to open the season with a win, the first for new head coach Casey Bradley. Allie McCabe scored twice and had an assist while Emily McCabe netted the game-winning goal. Elyse Broderick made seven saves in net for the Bulldogs. For Milford, Aislinn Bennett scored five goals, Emily Croteau had a pair of goals, and Carly Haley added one.

North Attleboro, 4 @ Foxboro, 19 – Final – Click here for a Photo Gallery from this game. Paige Curran and Mya Waryas each scored six goals, as Foxboro opened its season with a big win over a division rival. Curran, the league’s leading scorer from last year, added three assists and Waryas had one helper as well. Mary Collins chipped in with four goals and two assists, Valerie Beigel had a pair of goals, and freshman Cate Noone had a goal and an assist on her debut. Grace Riley, Kate Collins, and Nina Della Valle also scored for the Warriors. Lilli Jones made five saves to pick up her first win in goal. Ava McKeon and Morgan Eaton each scored twice for North.

King Philip, 17 @ Sharon, 0 – Final – Nine different Warriors found the back of the net as King Philip opened its season in style with a big win on the road over Sharon. Julia Marsden, Lily Brown, and Haley Izydorczak combined for 11 points in the win, Makenzie McDevitt scored a hat trick in the win and Ilah Weiblen and Abby MacDonald each scored once.

Oliver Ames, 19 @ Taunton, 2 – Final – Using a quick transition game and strong ball possession, Oliver Ames roared to a big season opening win on the road over Taunton. First year OA head coach Rylie Dalzell credited the attackers’ ride for causing a lot of turnovers that the visiting Tigers took advantage of. Jess Widdop and Claire O’Rourke combined for the win in net for OA. Casey O’Leary and Cali Melo each scored once for Taunton.




Boys Tennis
Oliver Ames, 3 @ Attleboro, 2 – Final – Sophomore Nicholas Westerbeke rallied from a one-set deficit to win two in a row to take the point at first singles and give Oliver Ames a 3-2 win over the Bombardiers. Westerbeke dropped the first set 4-6 but won 6-1, 6-0 to get the win. Kylash Gannesh (6-0, 6-1) and Raphael Vache (6-1, 6-2) won at second and third singles, respectively, for OA. Attleboro’s Tyler Rocchio and Kyle Neuendorf took first singles 6-3, 6-4 while Malachi Jefferson and Alex Suarez were victorious (6-1, 6-2) at second doubles.

Canton, 2 @ Franklin, 3 – Final – Canton took first and second singles in straight sets but Franklin won both doubles and third singles to get the win at home. Senior Drew Mahoney was the lone Panther to win in singles action, taking third singles 6-0, 6-3. The team of senior Tim O’Keefe and sophomore Ahan Shetty won 6-1, 6-1 at first doubles and the team of senior Sameen Shaik and sophomore Jay Gorgas secured a 6-0, 6-0 win at second doubles. Canton’s Max Kupferman won 6-4, 6-2 at first singles and Suraj Ramanthan took a 6-1, 6-1 decision at second singles.

Foxboro, 3 @ King Philip, 2 – Final – A sweep of singles action lifted Foxboro to a win over the road at King Philip to start the season. Garrett Spillane won in straight sets (6-1, 6-1) at first singles, Bo Canfield added a 6-2, 6-3 win at second singles, and Raj Jetty earned a 6-3, 6-4 win at third singles. KP’s Diego Nieto and Connor Sachleben rallied from a one-set deficit to secure a 5-7, 6-0, 6-2 win at first doubles while Adam Gousie and Noah Ihley grabbed a 6-2, 6-4 win at second doubles.

North Attleboro, 0 @ Mansfield, 5 – Final – Mansfield opened the season in style, taking all five matches in straight sets to knock off North Attleboro. Freshman Neema Khosravani was impressive in his first career match, winning 6-0, 6-3 at first singles, sophomore Kailash Elumelai secured a 6-1, 7-5 at second singles, and sophomore Iniyan Karruppusami added a 6-2, 6-1 win at third singles. The tream of senior Jonah Fine and junior Benson Delaney didn’t drop a set in a 6-0, 6-0 win at first doubles while junior Jesse Colchamiro and sophomore Nikhil Nain won 6-2, 6-2 at second doubles.

Sharon, 5 @ Milford, 0 – Final – A trio of underclassman swept singles action for Sharon as the Eagles opened the season with a win on the road over Milford. Sophomore Matthew Lally, sophomore Alex Budovalcev, and freshman Jacob Slavsky all won 6-0, 6-0 in first, second, and third singles, respectively. In doubles action, seniors Mitch Weiss and Ruemon Bhattacharyya grabbed a 6-1. 6-0 win at first doubles, and the team of freshman Sava Kassev and junior Hyojae Park didn’t drop a set in a 6-0, 6-0 win at second doubles.

Attleboro, 2 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final – In an incredible even match up, Oliver Ames emerged with a hard-fought win over a game Attleboro squad. The Tigers got wins in straight sets from Hannah Farber at first singles (7-5, 6-3) and Mia Corradini at third singles (6-3, 6-1). OA’s second doubles team of tri-captain Shelby Brass and Marina Mierzwinski grabbed a 6-0, 7-6 (7-1) for the Tigers’ second point of the match. Attleboro’s Madison Fuscaldo battled for a 6-3, 6-7 (10-12), 6-3 win in a marathon match at second singles, and the team of Tina Lam and Sahara Yusuf grabbed a 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 (7-3) win at first doubles.

Franklin, 3 @ Canton, 2 – Final – A sweep in doubles action plus a hard fought win at third singles gave the Panthers the close win on the road at Canton. Sarah Schiavo battled her way to a 6-4, 7-5 win at third singles to clinch the win for the Panthers. The team of Amulya Jayam and Shriya Rasish won 6-4, 6-3 at first doubles while Chloe Essam teamed up with Sydney Tolonen for a 6-1, 6-1 win at second doubles for the Panthers. Canton’s Camila Cutter earned a 6-1, 7-5 victory at first singles while Laura Correal prevailed from a well-played second singles match with a 7-6 (10), 6-4 win.

King Philip, 2 @ Foxboro, 3 – Final – Foxboro took a pair of wins from singles action and one more from doubles to get a win over King Philip. Athena Li (first singles) and Hailey Kornbluth (second singles) both won 6-0, 6-0 for the hosts while the team of Abigail Costa and Juliana Preston secured a 7-5, 4-6, 7-5 win at first doubles for Foxboro. KP’s Sammie Taylor won 6-2, 6-2 at third singles and Caroline Frese teamed up with Lauren Caspter for a 6-4, 6-3 win at second doubles.

Mansfield @ North Attleboro, 3:45

Milford, 0 @ Sharon, 5 – Final – It was a clean sweep in the season opener for the Eagles, winning all five matches in straight sets against visiting Milford. Navya Shukla won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles, Ali Aguilar grabbed a 6-1, 6-2 win at second singles, and Ritu Sreeram earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at third singles. Sharon’s first doubles team of Abby Vilk and Judy Song didn’t drop a set in a 6-0, 6-0 win while the team of Sasha Fein and Sophia Oh were victorious 6-1, 6-1 at second doubles.

Taunton, 4 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – Taunton took two wins from each singles and doubles action to get a win on the road over Stoughton. Brooke Bell earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at second singles and Ava Alves grabbed a 6-1, 6-0 win at third singles for the Tigers. The first doubles team of Morgan Smith and Sam Parrett prevailed 6-3, 6-2 for Taunton while Kelsey Brennan and Janelle Garcia won 6-3, 6-3 at second doubles. Stoughton’s Ally Lada emerged from a hard-fought singles match with a 7-5, 7-5 (10-8) win.

Boys Volleyball
Taunton, 0 @ Barnstable, 3 – Final

King Philip, 0 @ Medfield, 3 – Final – Freshman Jacob Moores had four blocks and senior Danny Alexandre added three more but the Warriors dropped their first match of the season on the road at Medfield.

#39 Malden, 0 @ #26 Franklin, 5 – Final – Franklin matched its best scoring output of the season in its playoff opener, rolling to a big win over visiting Malden. Senior Tyler Powderly finished off a pass from classmate Jack Moran to give the Panthers an early lead and Franklin never looked back. Sophomore Rex Cinelli scored back-to-back goals, his first two goals of the season on assists from junior Max Tobin (to make it 2-0) and from senior Kevin Proenca (to make it 3-0). Sophomore Sean O’Leary (from junior Will Krysak) scored to make it 4-0 while Jacob Crisileo (from Connor Brown) capped the goals with a late strike. Franklin will travel to #7 Framingham to take on the Flyers on Saturday at 6:00 at Bowditch Field.

#34 Attleboro, 2 @ #31 New Bedford, 1 – Final (PKs) – Sophomore Tyler Rocchio denied the Whalers’ on their fourth attempt to secure a win on the road for Attleboro, a 4-2 edge in penalty kicks after a 1-1 draw in regulation. Sophomore Alex Vecchioli scored just three minutes into the second half, finishing off a pass from Billy Badger. In penalty kicks, Vecchioli, Esvin Morales, Cashel Stuger, and Kyle Neuendorf all scored to help the Bombardiers book a trip to the next round. Attleboro will travel to #2 Needham on Saturday at 2:00.

Division 2
#33 North Attleboro, 0 @ #32 Dartmouth, 1 – Final (PKs) – North Attleboro battled through regulation, overtime, penalty kicks, and into one extra round of penalties before falling to Dartmouth in a closely contested game. The Rocketeers saw its first five players convert from the spot but Dartmouth did as well, and it was the hosts who scored in the first additional round to get the win.

#36 Marblehead, 2 @ #29 Mansfield, 1 – Final – Click here for a Photo Gallery from this match. Marblehead took advantage of a slip at the back and a loose ball in the box to score once in each half and then held on to grab the road win. Michael Caridi’s long throw went off the fingers of the keeper in the 67th minute, cutting the lead to just one and setting up a an exciting finish. Mansfield had its chances throughout the match. After falling behind in the eighth minute, Matt Hyland nearly got onto the end of a pass from Andrew Bain but the keeper was out quick to smother and Daniel Checkoway had a shot that was cleared off the line. At the half-hour mark, the Hornets had a flurry of chances that started with a long throw on the far sideline. Hyland flicked on Dylan Buchanan’s throw forcing a great diving save. Off the corner, Ian Leeds drew another great save and Nate Kablik’s rebound effort was blocked on its way to goal. Checkoway then headed the ball towards goal and off the knee of a defender, sending it just over the bar. Hyland blazed over from inside the box and Connor Palinski shot wide after being played in behind the right back. Jack Lasbury-Casey made a big save on a breakaway in the final minutes to give Mansfield one last chance.

Girls Soccer
Division 1
#38 Springfield Central, 1 @ #27 Attleboro, 3 – Final – The Bombardiers scored the first three goals of the match to seal a preliminary round win and advance in the state tournament. Jamie Davies scored the opening goal just four minutes in, assisted by Emily Khang, and then added her second of the day in the final minute of the first half. Bethany Alves assisted the second goal. Davies recorded her third point of the day when she set up Kahlan Gray for a third goal five minutes into the second half. Head coach Steve Santos praised his team’s energy from the opening whistle and said it was a “Great team victory!”

#37 Somerville, 0 @ #28 North Attleboro, 3 – Final – Steph McKenna scored a second half brace to lead the Rocketeers to a win in the Div. 2 preliminary round. After a scoreless first half, McKenna found the back of the net in the 45th minute, assisted by Charlotte Moynihan, and then doubled the lead seven minutes later, this time off a pass from Lily Adams. Emma Pratt closed out the scoring just before the half-hour mark, with Moynihan recording her second helper of the game. Brayden Rice had solid delivery from corner kicks that led to several second half chances. Caroline Ferrin, Brooke Sullivan, Haley Sinacola, Autumn Hewitt, and Summer Doherty dominated the midfield and defensive third for North, holding Somerville to only two shots. Maddie Ferrin earned her sixth clean sheet of the season.

Field Hockey
Division 1
#29 Beverly, 0 @ #4 Franklin, 6 – Final – After a scoreless first quarter, Franklin scored three goals in just over a span of four minutes and the Panthers never looked back from there in a win over Beverly. Junior Payten Crandall broke through just over a minute into the second quarter and junior Kaitlyn Carney scored twice within a three-minute span to make it 3-0 at halftime. Kaeley Dubriske (from Kaitlyn Carney) had the lone goal of the third quarter while Shaw Downing (from Crandall) and Emily Carney had fourth quarter goals. Megan Sullivan made three saves to earn the shutout. Franklin will host the winner of the #13 Central Catholic/#20 Attleboro game on Tuesday with a time to be determined.

#24 Westfield, 2 @ #9 Canton, 3 – Final – Canton overcame a 2-1 deficit, winning back-to-back sets to grab a win over Westfield, 3-2 (5-13, 21-25, 18-25, 25-19, 15-10). Syd Gallery had a great match for the Bulldogs with 10 kills, three blocks, and an ace while Jess Wright added 12 kills, a pair of blocks, and 10 digs. Anna Verille was amazing defensively with 18 digs along with four kills and two aces, and Taylor Reynolds added 33 assists, a pair of aces and six digs. “It was a great comeback match by the entire team!” said Canton head coach Pat Cawley.

Mansfield, 1 @ Attleboro, 1 – Final – Mansfield got off to a great start with a goal in the opening minutes but it was all Attleboro the rest of the way, The Bombardiers leveled the game just before halftime and both teams took a point with a 1-1 draw. Junior Connor Palinski finished off a pass from classmate Grady Sullivan just three minutes into the game to take the lead. Attleboro sophomore Alex Vecchioli brought the Bombardiers level just before the halftime whistle on an assist from Kyle Neuendorf.

Foxboro, 1 @ Canton, 2 – Final

King Philip, 0 @ Franklin, 2 – Final – Franklin scored twice in a 10-minute span in the second half and got a strong performance from its back line to blank King Philip. Jack Moran broke the stalemate with a goal in the 65th minute on an assist from Will Krysak. Ten minutes later, senior Terry O’Neill doubled the lead and buried the insurance goal off a feed from Ben Costa. The Panthers got strong defensive performances Aidan Griffith, Rex Cinelli, Bradley Herndon, Nelson Martinez, Will Klawson, and Andrew O’Neill.

Taunton, 2 @ Milford, 2 – Final – Taunton jumped out to a two goal lead in the first half but Milford cut the deficit in half by the break and scored the tying goal in the final minutes to get the tie. An own goal gave the Tigers the lead and senior Jairson Varela finished from in close to push the advantage to 2-0. A corner kick from Bill Silva was misplayed and went in shortly before half to get the Hawks on the board. On a counter attack, Silva played Eduardo Santana in behind the defense and he finished with two minutes to go to grab a point.

Oliver Ames, 6 @ North Attleboro, 0 – Final – Oliver Ames stayed red hot on the offensive end of the pitch, pumping in six goals for the second straight contest. Senior Clide Neau scored a hat to lead the way while classmate Michael Haikal scored once and had one assist. John Dobbin added two goals, Mathias Taylor recorded three assists, and Casey Milliken had two assists.

Girls Soccer
Attleboro, 0 @ Mansfield, 4 – Final – Kara Santos scored twice and assisted on another goal, while also helping the Hornets defense keep an important clean sheet. The win keeps Mansfield in a first-place tie with Franklin in the Kelley-Rex standings. Katie Miller and Lyla Nappa also scored for the Hornets, while Olivia Salisbury made three saves in goal.

Franklin, 1 @ King Philip, 0 – Final – Stella Regan scored from about 30 yards out after taking a throw-in from Jackie O’Neil. It turned out to be the winner, as the Franklin defense and goalie Rachel Welch made it stand up. The win keeps the Panthers in a first-place tie with Mansfield and drops KP two points back of the division leaders. Bridget Leo, Chloe Barca, and Regan had strong games in the center of the pitch and Franklin coach Jodi Klein praised her team’s ability to control the ball and stay focused throughout.

Milford, 4 @ Taunton, 1 – Final – Serena Borges had a brace and Dani Atherton (a goal and two assists) totaled three points, as Milford went on the road and picked up its first win of the season. Freshman Paige Caldon also found the back of the net for the Hawks, her first varsity goal. Kailany Ferreira made seven saves in goal, picking up her first career win in the process.

North Attleboro, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 4 – Final – Katie Gibson and Camryn O’Connor each found the back of the net twice as Oliver Ames rolled to a win at home over the Rocketeers. Kyla Melton, Sophie Byron, and Ella McDonough all had strong games for the Tigers while Charlotte Moynihan, Abby Pratt and Brayden Rice played well for North Attleboro.

Sharon, 2 @ Stoughton, 3 – Final – Sivannah Marcy scored with a few minutes remaining to lift Stoughton to come from behind victory. Trailing 2-1 at the break, Stoughton moved Shayla Ford up front to try to get more of an attacking threat and it worked as she scored the equalizer, assisted by Lauren Mitchell. Makenzie O’Connor, in her first game back from an injury, got her second assist of the day, setting up Marcy for the winner. O’Connor also set up the game’s opening goal with a cross to Isabella Rodrigues, who put away her first goal of the season. Sharon came storming back as Sofia Goclowski and Wendy Wooden each found the back of the net, both assisted by Autumn Simon. The Eagles had chances to extend the lead, but couldn’t take their opportunities and the Black Knights put together a comeback to split the season series. Bianca Casna and Sabrina Rodrigues also played well to help Stoughton earn the win.




Field Hockey
Foxboro, 4 @ Hopkinton, 0 – Final

Volleyball
Oliver Ames, 3 @ Brockton, 0 – Final – Senior Shannon Willard dished out 14 assists and Oliver Ames picked up a 3-0 win (25-11, 25-11, 25-20) over neighboring Brockton. Junior Maddie Homer added 21 digs, senior Hadley Rhodes recorded 11 assists and seven kills, and sophomore Claire O’Rourke chipped in with 10 kills.

Golf
Mansfield, 168 @ Canton, 147 – Final – Canton sophomore Mekhala Costello fired a one over par round of 35 to lead the Bulldogs to their second win in as many days. Nate MacDonald added a 36 for the hosts while both Conor Hunter and Will Gefteas finished the day with a 38. Cian Goulet had a team-low round of 39, Ryan Doherty shot a 42 on the day, Hunter Tang chipped in with a 43, and both Drew Urban and Nate McClean finished at 44.

Taunton, 190 @ Milford, 178 – Final – Jacob Hipolito and Anthony LaPierre shared match medalist honors to help Milford record its second win over Taunton in as many days, sweeping the series against the Tigers with a win at Hopedale Country Club. Both LaPierre and Hipolito finished with a round of 42. Loran Corcoran led Taunton with a 46 while Jack Gobin added a 47.

Oliver Ames, 160 @ Sharon, 171 – Final – Oliver Ames went on the road and returned home from The Cape Club of Sharon with a division win over the Eagles. Senior Jo Jo Gaultier shot a team-low round of 38 to help the Tigers pick up their ninth win of the season. Sean Kearns added a 40 for OA while both Lucas Riley and Jack Kaplan came into the clubhouse with a 41.

Attleboro, 169 @ Franklin, 157 – Final – Franklin defended its home turf with a win over upset-minded Attleboro at Franklin Country Club. Jack Hagerty led the way for the Panthers with a team-best round of 36, Brendan Collins added a 39, CJ Steel chipped in with a 41, and Jack Ryan finished at 42 for the day.

King Philip, 3 @ Attleboro, 2 – Final – King Philip took a lead on three different occasions, the final time coming in the sixth inning and that one held as the Warriors scored a win on the road. KP took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first when Eli Reed walked, stole second and scored on a single by Shawn Lagere but Attleboro answered with a run in the bottom half, Owen Taber coming around to score after a leadoff walk. In the top of the fourth, Lagere singles again and scored on a triple from Grayden Lawrence for a 2-1 lead, but the Bombardiers once again answered. This time in the bottom of the fifth on a solo home run from Jake Gorman to make it 2-2. KP pushed across the winning run in the sixth as Conor Cooke drew a walk and eventually scored on a sac fly from Mikey Malatesta.

Oliver Ames, 4 @ Canton, 3 – Final – Christian Papasodero came in to strike out the final batter of the game, earning the save, and a big win for OA. The victory keeps the Tigers just one back of North Attleboro in the win column heading into the final three games of the season. Nick Clark picked up the win for OA, going 6-2/3 innings and giving up four hits and three runs and striking out six. Jadon Ricci and Patrick Finnerty each went 2-for-4 with two runs scored to spark the OA offense. Jake Waxman, Nate Carpentier, and Nate Fulford each drove in a run.

North Attleboro, 12 @ Foxboro, 6 – Final – North Attleboro jumped out to a 10-1 lead through five innings and then held off a late Foxboro rally to secure the win, moving half a game ahead of Oliver Ames in the Davenport title race. Danny Curran went 5-1/3 innings with eight strikeouts, allowing three runs, to pick up the win. Joe Hartnett went 1-2/3 innings of relief, allowing only three unearned runs. Curran also helped himself at the plate, going 2-for-4. Gavin Wells also went 2-for-4 with an RBI, while the bottom third of the order came up big for the Rocketeers. The 7-8-9 hitters accounted for six hits, five runs scored, and seven RBI. Tyler Bannon and Aidan Conrad each went 2-for-4, with two RBI and two runs and Justin Vecchiarelli went 2-for-2 with three RBI. Ryan LeClair, Jack Watts, and Sean O’Leary each had two hits for the Warriors and accounted for four of Foxboro’s six runs.

Sharon, 1 @ Stoughton, 16 – Final (5 Inn.) – Stoughton had its best offensive day of the season, exploding for 16 runs on 15 hits in a win over visiting Sharon. The Black Knights scored in each of the five innings with Ben Zola (two hits, two runs) setting the pace from the leadoff spot. Kyle Doolin had a pair of walks, two runs, and an RBI, Jake Queeney added two runs, one walk, and one RBI, and Jonah Ly chipped in with two runs and three RBI in the win. A day after coming up with a clutch two-out hit to force extras, Brandon Mantilla-Mercado had two hits and drove in four runs. Freshman Hunter Malkin earned his first career win on the mound, allowing one run on four hits and three walks, striking out five in five innings.

Foxboro, 4 @ North Attleboro, 7 – Final – For the first time in program history, North Attleboro has repeated as league champion. The Rocketeers clinched the outright Davenport crown after sweeping the home-and-home with the Warriors. Foxboro made it tough, leading 2-0 heading to the bottom of the fifth, but the North offense exploded for five runs to grab the lead for good. Emily Nardelli’s two-run homer tied the game and Kelly Colleran put North in front with a solo shot. Colleran added her fourth homer in two days when she knocked one out in the sixth and also picked up the win in the circle, striking out eight. Colleran and Zoey McDonough each finished with three hits and Belle Clarkin had two hits for North. Morgan Sylvestre had a homer for the Warriors.

Franklin, 4 @ Mansfield, 5 – Final – Mansfield won for the third straight time and moved within a game of .500 on the season. The Hornets scored the winner in the bottom of the sixth, after Franklin had rallied from three runs down to tie it. Ashlyn Conley (3-for-3) doubled and then came around to score on a Nicole Kobasa (2-for-3) single. In addition to driving in the winning run, Kobasa also came up big in right field, throwing out a pair of runners at first. Franklin jumped in front in the second, but Mansfield scored three in the fourth inning to lead 3-1. Casey Moussette (2-for-3) started it with a single, Molly Kucharski reached on a fielder’s choice, Conley singled, and another fielder’s choice from Kobasa scored the first run. Abby DeCoste (2-for-3) tripled to score one and then came around when the throw got away. The Hornets tacked on a run in the fifth on a walk by Jill Koppy, a stolen base, and then an RBI-single from Moussette. Live Madeira also had a hit for Mansfield.

Canton, 5 @ Oliver Ames, 8 – Final – Canton grabbed the lead, scoring four of its five runs in the top of the third, but the Tigers rallied, answering back with two in the bottom half, three in the fourth, and then a big insurance run in the sixth. Katie Melendy went the distance in the circle to pick up the win. Offensively, Maddie Homer (2-for-3, three runs, and three steals), Emma Varella (2-for-3, three runs scored), and Taylor Lake (2-for-3, two runs, and two RBI) each had a pair of hits. Grace Simone drove in a pair and Caitlin Miller added one RBI. Amanda Vrabel went 3-for-3 for the Bulldogs and drove in a pair of runs. Ellie Bohane added three hits and scored twice, while Taylor Reynolds went 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Liz Bickett and Steph Trendell made two great plays in the field for Canton.

Stoughton, 13 @ Sharon, 3 – Final – Nicole Baker allowed eight hits and struck out 11 in a complete game win that moves the Black Knights into a tie with Foxboro for second in the Davenport division. Stoughton had 18 hits as a team, including a 4-for-4 game from Julia Driscoll. Sydney Menz went 3-for-5 with two triples and Melody Casna went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer. Alyssa Edwards and Baker also had multiple hits in the win.

Girls Lacrosse
King Philip, 14 @ Attleboro, 3 – Final – KP won its fifth straight and got to 10 wins on the season. The Warriors used a balanced attack with two players accounting for five points, Julia Marsden and Morgan Cunningham, and two accounting for four points, Lily Brown and Haley Izydorczak.

North Attleboro, 4 @ Foxboro, 19 – Final – Paige Curran (two assists) and Lilly Vey each scored four goals, as Foxboro swept a two-day series with North Attleboro and, in the process, clinched the outright Davenport division title for the ninth straight season. The Warriors continue to fire on all cylinders offensively, with eight different players finding the back of the net. Mya and Ella Waryas each scored three times and assisted on another. Kate Collins scored twice, while Mary Collins had a goal and two assists and Dylan Rappoli had a goal and an assist. Val Beigel added a goal. Maddie Maher had another strong game in goal for the Warriors, making seven saves.

Franklin, 23 @ Mansfield, 6 – Final – Franklin secured at least a share of its eighth straight league title, beating Mansfield for the second time in as many days, and extending its lengthy league win streak by another game. Katie Jones powered the Panthers with six goals and an assist, but Franklin showed off its balance on offense. Jackie O’Neil scored four times and assisted on another and Stella Regan scored twice and had five assists. Jamie Tanner had a pair of goals and a pair of assists. Lindsay Atkinson had a strong game in the Franklin midfield, winning 10 draws.




Boys Tennis
Attleboro, 2 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – King Philip won all three singles matches in straight sets and that was enough for a 3-2 win over visiting Attleboro. Nick Putney (first singles) and Jon Cohen (third singles) both won without dropping a game while Brady Jannell scored a 6-4, 6-0 win at second singles. The Bombardiers won both doubles matches with Alejandro Jimenez and Kevin Rebelo taking a 6-4, 6-3 win at first doubles and freshmen Kyle Neuendorf and Tyler Rocchio secured a 6-2, 4-6, 6-2 win at second doubles.

Canton, 4 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – Final – Canton kept alive its hopes of sharing the league title with a win at OA. Minh Duong battled cramps in a marathon match against Kylash Ganesh at first singles, but managed to pull out a win. He took the first set 6-4, lost 7-5 in the second, and won a third set tiebreaker 10-4 to grab the point for his team. Ethan Nguyen won 6-1, 7-5 at second singles and Elias Jabbour and Huy Hung won 6-0, 6-1 at first doubles. In second doubles, Shawn Welch and Jackson Santos fell behind 5-2 in the first set but rallied to win 7-5 and then closed out the match with a 6-2 second set. Freshman Nick Westerbeke won OA’s lone point at third singles with a 6-2, 6-2 win.

Stoughton, 1 @ Sharon, 4 – Final – Sharon swept doubles and won a pair of singles matches to stay unbeaten in the league and clinch at least a share of its second straight Davenport title. Ridhuik Neti and Deyan Kassev (first doubles) and Alex Budovaloev and Ben Levinson (second doubles) both won their matches 6-0, 6-1. Max Chen took his match at second singles by a score of 6-3, 6-4 and Matthew Lally won 6-1, 6-0 at third singles. Waseem Sabion grabbed Stoughton’s lone point, winning the first set 6-0 and then bouncing back from an 0-6 loss in the second to close out the match with 6-3 third set.

Foxboro, 0 @ North Attleboro, 5 – Final – North Attleboro kept up its pursuit of first-place Sharon with a sweep of Foxboro. The Rocketeers are two games back of the Eagles and will face them twice next week. Sam Gallagher (second singles), Will Folan (third singles), and the team of Brody Carter and David Marroquin each won their matches 6-0, 6-0. Jonah Manso won his match at first singles 6-3, 6-0 and the second doubles team of Niteesh Saravanan and Visruth Chavalam won 6-1, 7-5.




Girls Tennis
King Philip, 5 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final – King Philip made it a sweep of Attleboro to remain unbeaten and sealed at least a share of its fourth straight Kelley-Rex division title. Ahunna James and Shea Mellman (6-3, 6-0) and Resha Ajoy and Amanda Van Roon (6-1, 6-0) won their doubles matches in straight sets, as did Katarina Schneider (6-0, 6-2) at first singles. Sammie Taylor also won in straight sets at third singles, but had to battle in a second set tiebreaker before pulling out a 6-2, 7-6 (8-6) win. Mia Valencia lost her opening set to Lauren Anthony in a tiebreak but then won the next two sets 6-4, 6-4 to seal the fifth point for the Warriors.

Mansfield, 5 @ Franklin, 0 – Final

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Canton, 2 – Final – The first doubles team of Morgan Vasiliou and Caroline Peper won 6-3, 6-1 to earn OA its third point and to seal the first league win of the season for the Tigers. OA also got points from Mia Corradini at third singles and from Celine Souaidan and Courtney Lake at second doubles, both matches finishing 6-1, 6-0. Canton won the top two singles matches, as Rachel Kupferman didn’t lose a game in a straight sets win and Laura Correal won 6-2, 6-4 at second singles.

Sharon, 4 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final

North Attleboro, 1 @ Foxboro, 4 – Final – The Warriors beat North Attleboro for the second time in as many days to remain unbeaten and clinch at least a share of the Davenport title for the first time since 2015. Athena Li continued her dominant rookie season, remaining unbeaten with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at first singles. Pam Nelson also won 6-0, 6-0 at second singles and Sarah Prag won 6-1, 6-1 to make it a clean sweep of singles. At first doubles, Maggie McAuliffe and Abby Costa battled with North’s Anoushka Banerjee and Julia Curran and pulled out a hard-fought, straight-sets win, 6-4, 7-6 (2). North’s point came at second doubles, as the team of Lauren Consentino and Kyna Shah won 6-0, 6-4.

Mansfield @ Canton, 4:00

Oliver Ames, 31 @ North Attleboro, 40 – Final – The dual meet came down to the final match, as Keysun Wise was able to hold off Jaden Hinton 6-4 at 285 to seal a win for the Rocketeers. North now moves one game up in the win column on Foxboro and sets up a final match with the Warriors to decide the Davenport title. Tanner Ferguson (113), Kyle Dumke (132), Ethan Smith (145), and Griffin Gouck (160) each had pins for North. Kyle Hardie remained unbeaten for the Tigers with a pin at 120, while Giovany Juste (170), Anthony Hoffman (182), and Onye Nwadiugwu (195) also had pins for OA.

Boys Volleyball
Taunton, 3 vs. Quincy, 0 – Final – Taunton swept Quincy in three sets (25-18, 25-20, 25-23). Tyler Stewart had another big match for the Tigers, leading the team with 17 kills but also adding three aces and seven digs. Faisal Mass chipped in with six kills and three blocks and Jakob Thorpe had eight kills and two blocks. Mattia Casagrande (six kills) and Colin McDougal (three kills) added to the Taunton offense, which was spearheaded by setter Daniel Medina, who finished with 36 assists. Travis Nunes had 12 digs and was a key in Taunton serve-receive game.

Attleboro, 0 @ King Philip, 10 – Final – King Philip sophomore Rudy Gately dazzled on the mound, tossing a five-inning complete game shutout as the Warriors rolled to a big win at home. Gately allowed just two hits — a single followed by a double in the top of the third that put runners on second and third for the Bombardiers. But Gately responded by getting three straight strikeouts to end the threat; he finished the game with seven strikeouts and no walks. Shawn Lagere had a pair of walks and runs scored and drove in a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth with a triple that ended the game. KP scored twice in the first (both reached on walks), once in the third (reached via walk), and then exploded for five in the fourth inning. Nick Viscusi had a pair of of base hits, a walk, and three runs, Conor Cooke added two singles and two runs, and Gately helped his cause with two hits, a walk, and a run.

Foxboro, 0 @ North Attleboro, 10 – Final – North Attleboro’s offense erupted for eight runs in the fourth inning and senior Dennis Colleran threw a five-inning no-hitter to help the Rocketeers secure an important division win. Jared Penta (3-for-3) singled, stole second and scored on a wild pitch in the first while Aidan Conrad launched a solo home run in the second for the Big Red. Justin Vecchiarelli had two hits in the fourth, including a two-run single while Aidan Weir played a stellar defensive game at third. Colleran had a walk and hit a batter in the first but finished by retiring 13 straight, striking out the side in the fifth (nine total strikeouts) to end the game.

Sharon, 3 @ Stoughton, 4 – Final (9 Inn.) – Stoughton forced extra innings with a two-out run in the bottom of the seventh and earned a walk off win with a bases-loaded walk in the ninth to earn a win over Sharon. Stoughton took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the second on a base hit from Brady Conlin but Sharon responded with two runs in the top of the fifth to go ahead 3-2, which held until the bottom of the seventh. Sharon nearly tacked on a run in the top of the seventh with a runner on third and one out but Jonah Ly made a spectacular diving grab in left field and doubled the runner at third to keep the deficit at one. Brandon Mantilla-Mercado came through with a two-out RBI single to right field to knot the game 3-3. In the bottom of the ninth, Ben Zola (two hits) had a one-out single, Brad Franey was hit by a pitch, and Mantilla-Mercado drew a walk to load the bases. Anthony Tilton (two hits) worked a walk on a full count for the walk off win. Conlin allowed three runs (one earned) in 6.1 innings of work, allowing seven hits and two walks with six strikeouts. Anthony Tilton got the win in relief with 2.2 shutout innings with one hit allowed and three strikeouts. For Sharon, Dylan Labbe allowed one earned run on six hits, striking out three in five innings. Justin Brown (triple) and Elliot Pototsky each had two hits and Nate Yaffe had a hit and two stolen bases.

Taunton, 7 @ Milford, 0 – Final – Taunton senior Danny MacDougall had a strong outing on the mound and classmate Alyjah Marshall made a splash in his return from injury to help the Tigers get a win on the road. Marshall, who was a member of the Tigers’ 2019 D1 State Championship squad as a sophomore, had a big two-out two-run single in the fifth inning in his first game back from sustaining an injury during football. Taunton was leading just 1-0 through four innings before Marshall’s big hit gave the visitors some breathing room. Taunton went on to add a run in the sixth and three more in the seventh to pull away. MacDougall allowed just three hits and two walks in six scoreless innings of work, striking out six in the win.

Softball
King Philip, 2 @ Attleboro, 1 – Final – King Philip junior Emma Sheehan had a solid showing on the mound and the Warriors had a strong day defensively to edge Attleboro on the road. Both coaches called it a great game from both sides, praising all three aspects of the game in a battle between two top teams in the area. The Warriors took the lead in the top of the third on a solo home run from Paige Berdos but Attleboro answered in the bottom half on an RBI single from sophomore Lauren Eby but the go-ahead run was gunned down at the plate on a throw from KP left fielder Meg Sherwood and tag from sophomore catcher Sarah Cullen. The Warriors regained the lead in the top of the fourth when Sherwood doubled and came in to score on a one-out triple from freshman Maddie Paschke. Sheehan allowed just one unearned run on six hits and three walks, striking out five in a complete game win. Sheehan stranded runners in scoring positions in four innings, escaping a bases loaded jam in the first. KP also got a huge outfield assist from Charlotte Raymond in the first inning, a throw home to Cullen for an out to prevent a run. Lindsey Perry also had a strong showing in the circle allowing just two runs on eight hits and one walk, striking out three.

North Attleboro, 8 @ Foxboro, 2 – Final – North beat second-place Foxboro and moved within a win of its second straight league title. It would be the first time in program history that the Rocketeers won the league in consecutive seasons. Zoey McDonough allowed only two hits and struck out 13 to pick up the victory. Kelly Colleran continued her strong season at the plate, driving in four runs on a pair of homers and a sac fly. Mandi Hanewich had three hits, including two doubles, and drove in three, while Emma Bailey also chipped in with three hits. Chloe Mearn added a pair of hits and Shaelyn Burns scored twice for North.

Sharon, 0 @ Stoughton, 12 – Final – Stoughton had one of its best offensive showings of the season, exploding for 15 hits in a win at home over visiting Sharon. Sydney Menz led off the bottom of the first with a home run and the Black Knights never looked back. Menz finished 3-for-4, adding a double, while freshmen Alyssa Edwards (triple, three RBI) and Julie Powers both added three hits in the win. Nicole Baker smacked a two-run triple, Julia Driscoll and Melody Casna each had two hits, and Morgan Lessa added a single. Baker got the win in the circle, allowing just two hits while striking out seven in a five-inning complete game.

Milford, 0 @ Taunton, 18 – Final (5 Inn.) – Kelsey White was perfect over five innings, striking out 11 without allowing a base runner, and also had three hits, two home runs, and drove in five runs at the plate, as Taunton continued its undefeated season. Tayah DaCosta added three hits and Kylie Thorpe had two hits and two RBI. Sam Lincoln added four RBI for the Tigers.

Franklin, 15 @ Mansfield, 3 – Final – Franklin raced out to a six-goal lead at halftime and allowed just one goal against in the second half to pick up a win on the road over Mansfield. Matt Lazzaro paced the Franklin offense with three goals and three assists while Jayden Consigli added three goals and an assist. Luke Davis and Joe Consigli each had a pair of goals and an assist in the win while Justin Abely netted a pair of goals for the Panthers, who led 8-2 at half.

Girls Lacrosse
Attleboro, 2 @ King Philip, 18 – Final – King Philip had nine different players find the back of the net in a big win at home over visiting Attleboro. Sarah Brown, Margo Riley, and Colleen Crowther each scored their first career goals in the win.

Foxboro, 18 @ North Attleboro, 8 – Final – Lilly Vey scored seven times and assisted on another goal to power Foxboro to a big road win that clinched at least a share of a ninth straight league title. Paige Curran had a hand in half of Foxboro’s goals, scoring five times and adding four assists, and Mya Waryas chipped in with a hat trick. Mary Collins, Dylan Rappoli, and Val Beigel each scored once, with Collins and Rappoli adding assists as well. Ella Waryas had a pair of helpers in the win.

Mansfield, 0 @ Franklin, 20 – Final

Taunton, 11 @ Milford, 12 – Final – Milford erased a five-goal deficit and scored the game-winning goal with two minutes to play to break into the win column with a victory on senior night. Trailing 8-3, the Hawks stormed back to get back in it, tying the game at 10 and then scored again to take their first lead at 11-10. Taunton was able to respond with a goal to tie it again but Aislinn Bennett scored her seventh goal of the game with 2:09 to play for the game-winning tally. Emily Crouteau and Olyvia White each scored twice in the win while Stephanie Goulet scored once.

Senior Sayf Saddiq and sophomore Brody Carter scored a 6-0, 6-3 win at first doubles while senior Niteesh Saravanan and freshman Arnav Raghuvanshi rallied to win 4-6, 6-1, 10-6 at second doubles. Senior Jonah Manso was up 6-2 in the first set before winning by default (injury) and senior Sam Gallagher added a 6-0, 6-1 win at second singles. Foxboro junior Bo Canfield grabbed a 6-4, 6-3 win at third singles.

Mansfield, 0 @ Franklin, 5 – Final – Franklin stayed undefeated on the season with a 5-0 sweep against Mansfield. Anish Gundimeda teamed up with Sameen Shaik to pick up a 6-4, 6-2 win at first doubles while junior Thomas Broyles and freshman Jay Gorgas continued their strong season at second doubles with a 6-0, 6-3 win. Liam Marr (first singles, 6-1, 6-0) and Vayshnav Malhotra (second singles, 6-0, 6-1) each dropped just one game while junior Drew Mahoney secured a 6-3, 6-1 win at third singles.

The team of Brooke Bell and Sam Parrett didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at first doubles while Morgan Smith teamed up with Courtney Martin for a 6-0, 6-3 second doubles win.

Boys Outdoor Track
Mansfield, 85 @ Taunton, 49 – Final – Mansfield completed undefeated in dual meets, knocking off Taunton to go 5-0 to claim the Kelley-Rex division title. Senior DaSean Peters-Wolfe had a huge meet for the Hornets, setting a new PR while winning both the 100M (11.2) and the 200M (22.6) while Trevor Flint was also a double-winner, taking first in both the 1 Mile (4:59.5) and the 2 Mile (10:53.7). Mansfield got key points from sweeping the shot put (Charles Newcomb, 38’7; Dan Scriven, 32’10; Billy Gardner, 32’3) and the discus (Newcomb, 101’0; Aengus McGill 98’0; Scriven 94’0).




Girls Outdoor Track
Mansfield, 99 @ Taunton, 37 – Final – Mansfield swept six events on the road to pick up a convincing win over Taunton. The Hornets took the top three spots in the 400M hurdles, the 100M, the 1 Mile, the 100M hurdles, the long jump, and the triple jump. Anna Buckley took first in three of those events, winning the 100M hurdles (16.6), the long jump (16’4), and the triple jump (35’5). Alissa Cooke was also a double winner for the Hornets, taking first in both the discus and the shot put.

Sharon, 40 @ Oliver Ames, 25 – Final

Milford, 50 @ King Philip, 23 – Final – Click here for a photo gallery from this match – Milford won the final five matches to break things open and turn a five-point lead into a convincing win. It was the sixth consecutive dual meet victory for Milford, which is now one win away from clinching at least a share of its first Kelley-Rex division title and third league title overall (the Hawks won back-to-back Davenport crowns in 2012-13 and 2013-14. The meet started at 195 and Josh Kravetz won 8-0 to put the Hawks up 4-0. Hunter Hastings answered back with a first-period pin at 220 and Yusef Lofti added a third-period pin at 285 to put KP in front 12-4. Milford scored the next 24 points with Mike Boulanger earning a first-round pin at 106 and Robert Lyons scoring a second-period pin at 120. In between were a pair of forfeits. Sam Debaggis ended the Milford run with a pin one minute into the second period at 132 and Michael Gorman dominated his match at 138, earning a 16-1 victory and five points for the Warriors, closing the gap to 28-23. Paul Hough trailed 4-0 after the first period, but turned his match around to win 15-6 at 145 and Danny Alves pinned his opponent at 152 inside the first minute to extend the lead to 38-23. The match at 160 was one of the closest of the day. All the points were scored in the third round, as Ryan Donovan was able to beat Noah Reidel 3-1. At 182, Devin Duest fell behind to Cole Ricci in the third period, but a late reversal was enough to snag a 2-1 victory and cap the Milford win.

Stoughton, 22 @ North Attleboro, 39 – North Attleboro picked up four wins via pinfall, one by decision, and two by forfeit in a win over visiting Stoughton. Tanner Ferguson (113, 0:23), Tyler Tobias (120, 1:48), Andrew Faris (138, 0:25), and Christopher Galligan (152, 1:20) each won by fall while Keysun Wise (285) earned a 3-2 decision. Stoughton picked up wins from Guerard Theodore (145, 5:14), Andrew Medina (160, 10-1), Davin Swierzewski (170, 4:46), and Reggie Ugwuakazi (220, 0:32).

Richardson didn’t allow an earned run in a complete game effort, striking out seven to get the win. Offensively, Will Whiteside went 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI and Ryan McKenney added a hit and an RBI.

Canton, 4 @ Mansfield, 1 – Final (8 Inn.) – Canton erased a one-run deficit in the top of the sixth and then tacked on three runs in the top of the eighth to earn a win in extra innings on the road. The Bulldogs totaled eight hits on the day with Cam Sanchez (run) chipping in with two and six others registering one. Sawyer Julier-Albert drove in a pair of runs and scored once while Matt Chafin and Andrew Middleton each had one RBI. Zach Peters allowed just one unearned run on two hits and one walk with a pair of strikeouts in five innings of work. Matt Quan, Andrew Butler, and Nico Bonanno each tossed a scoreless inning in relief.

Foxboro, 6 @ Milford, 12 – Final – Milford took advantage of eight hits and nine walks to score 12 runs and get a win at home over visiting Foxboro. Mario Lee drove in three runs for the Hawks while Evan Cornelius (run) and Grant Scudo (two hits, run) each had two RBI in the win. Carter Scudo added a pair of hits, a pair of runs, and one RBI for Milford, who scored six runs in the second inning to take a 7-2 lead and pulled away for good with four runs in the sixth. Ryan LeClair went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run for Foxboro while Sean O’Leary added three hits and an RBI.

Sharon, 1 @ Franklin, 4 – Final – Franklin erased an early one-run deficit, scoring once in each the second and third with two big insurance runs coming in the fourth inning. Ethan Voellmicke tossed 4.1 innings of shutout ball with just two hits allowed, striking out nine to get the win. James Kuczmiec came in to get the save with 1.1 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit with a pair of strikeouts. Offensively, CJ Jette had a pair of hits including a double, and drove in one run, Marcus Baker slapped a pair of hits, Jake Fitzgibbons drove in a run, and Jack Marino had a hit, a walk, and scored a run.

Attleboro, 11 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – Final – Lindsey Perry picked up her fourth win of the season, tossing a one-hit shutout on the road to lead the Bombardiers. Perry carried a no-hitter in the final inning before OA registered its first hit. Perry struck out seven and issued just one walk in the win. Attleboro played solid defense throughout and offensively the Bombardiers had 17 hits as a team with Hailey Perry accounting for three hits and Brenna Morse and Meghan Gordon each with two. Taylor Lake had the hit for OA while Katie Melendy allowed five earned in a complete game effort.

Milford, 0 @ Foxboro, 10 – Final

Franklin, 13 @ Sharon, 2 – Final – Franklin found its offense late in the game, pulling away to pick up its fourth win of the season. The Eagles kept it close early, trailing by just four after four full. Sophomore pitcher Ally Foulsham had four strikeouts for Sharon.

Mansfield, 8 @ Canton, 7 – Final – Mansfield jumped out to an early need, Canton rallied to jump in front in the fifth inning, but the Hornets were able to come back and scored two runs in the top of the seventh to secure the win. After taking a 1-0 lead in the second, Mansfield scored four times in the third. Jill Koppy got it started with a lead off single, followed by hits from Ashlyn Conley, Alanna Conley, and Abby DeCoste. The Bulldogs answered back with four runs in the fourth and two more in the fifth to go up 6-5. Hits from Casey Moussette and Molly Kucharski led to the tying run for the Hornets in the sixth. In the seventh, DeCoste, Callie Lake, and Moussette each had hits to plate the game-winning runs. Canton got one back in the bottom of the seventh but the Hornets held on. Lake, Moussette, and Kucharski each finished with three hits for Mansfield, which had 17 as a team.

Taunton, 4 @ North Attleboro, 0 – Final – Taunton scored a pair of runs in each the second and seventh innings while Kelsey White was lights out in the circle as the Tigers passed their toughest test to date. White allowed just two hits and issued one walk while striking out 14 batters. McKenzie McAloon drove in two with a base hit in the top of the third to give the visitors the lead. Taunton tacked on two more insurance runs in the top of the seventh with Angie Lynch and Kylie Thorpe coming in to score their second runs of the game. North Attleboro sophomore Zoey McDonough had a strong showing in the circle with four runs allowed (three earned) on six hits and four walks, striking out five.

King Philip, 10 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – King Philip set the tone early with three first inning runs and never looked back in a win on the road. The Warriors added four runs in the third and three more in the fourth. Sophomore Sarah Cullen belted out a team-high three hits (including a triple) along with three RBI and one run scored while Mia Bennett also drove in three runs on a pair of hits. Sophomore Charlotte Raymond (two RBI, two runs), freshman Ava Lanza (two runs), and freshman Maddie Paschke each had two hits in the win. Junior Emma Sheehan earned the win in the circle, allowing one run on three hits and one walk, striking out five in a complete game effort. Sydney Menz hit a triple for Stoughton while Nicole Baker and Julie Powers each hit a double.




Boys Tennis
Attleboro, 2 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final – Oliver Ames won all three singles matches in straight sets to secure a win over visiting Attleboro. Junior Kylash Ganesh picked up a 6-0, 6-3 win at first singles, junior Rapheal Vache earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at second singles, and freshman Nick Westerbeke prevailed 6-1, 6-1 at third singles to give the Tigers the win at home. Attleboro’s Alejandro Jimenez and Malachi Jefferson emerged with a 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 win at first doubles while the pairing of Kyle Neuendorf and Tyler Rocchio didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at second doubles.

Mansfield, 2 @ Canton, 3 – Final – By sweeping all three singles matches, Canton defended home court with a 3-2 decision over visiting Mansfield. Suraj Ramanathan earned a big win at first singles with a 6-1, 6-4 score, Max Kupferman added a 6-2, 6-2 win at second singles and Minh Duong prevailed 6-2, 7-5 at third singles. Mansfield won both doubles matches with Kai Schirmacher and Nikhil Lankipalle taking a 6-4, 6-2 win at first doubles while Adam Elsner and Jonah Fine won 6-4, 6-3 at second doubles.

Milford, 1 @ Foxboro, 4 – Final – Foxboro swept all three singles matches and added another point from doubles play in a 4-1 win over visiting Milford. Garrett Spillane was victorious 6-2, 6-1 at first singles, Justin Neale earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at second singles, and Jason Kandula walked away with a 6-0, 6-1 win at third singles. The team of Bo Canfield and Visruth Chavalam took care of business at first doubles with a 6-2, 6-4 win. Milford’s second doubles team of seniors Connor MacLeod and Mike Tersarotto secured a 7-5, 6-2 win.

Franklin, 3 @ Sharon, 2 – Final – Franklin’s Vayshnav Malhotra emerged from a three-hour marathon match at second singles with a three-set victory to give the Panthers a 3-2 decision over Sharon. Malhotra won the first set in a tiebreaker, dropped the second set, and then prevailed in a back-and-forth third set, the score finishing 7-6 (5), 4-6, 7-5. Liam Marr (6-2, 6-2) added a win at first singles while the team of Thomas Broyles and Jay Gorgas (7-5, 6-4) battled to a tight win at second doubles.

Taunton, 0 @ North Attleboro, 5 – Final – North Attleboro dropped just one total game in a clean sweep against visiting Taunton. Jonah Manso, Sam Gallager, and Will Folan all won in straight sets in singles action while both of North’s double teams — Connor Willis and Sayf Siddiq at first doubles and Brody Carter and Niteesh Saravanan at second doubles — won 6-0, 6-0.

King Philip, 3 @ Stoughton, 2 – Final – King Philip won both doubles matches in straight sets and junior Jon Cohen emerged with the deciding point for the Warriors in a win on the road. Cohen picked up a 6-3, 6-2 win at third singles to give the match to the visitors. The team of Diego Nieto and Jackson Hom dropped just one game in a 6-1, 6-0 win at first doubles while juniors Adam Gousie and Connor Connor Sachleben earned a 6-2, 7-6 (1) win at second doubles. Stoughton’s Waseem Sablon battled to a 3-6, 6-2, 10-4 win at first singles while Rayan Sablon secured a 6-3, 6-0 win at second singles.




Girls Tennis
Oliver Ames, 1 @ Attleboro, 4 – Final – Attleboro defended home court with a singles sweep and one more win in doubles in a victory over visiting Oliver Ames. Ella Lynch Bartek (6-3, 6-1), Lauren Anthony (6-1, 6-4), and Tina Lam (6-2, 6-3) all won in singles action while Maddie Fulscado and Kyra Johnson emerged with a 7-6 (6), 6-2 win at second doubles. OA’s first doubles team of Caroline Peper and Morgan Vasiliou recorded a 6-0, 6-2 win for the Tigers.

Canton, 3 @ Mansfield, 2 – Final – Canton picked up a close win on the row, scoring points with a pair of singles wins and one from doubles action. Rachel Kupferman didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles, Laura Correal rallied for a 4-6, 7-6 (3), 6-2 win at second singles, and the first doubles pairing of Lily Hazam and Olivia Durham notched a 6-2, 6-1 win at first doubles. For Mansfield, Alexis O’Keefe was victorious at third singles 6-4, 6-2 while Ally McDavitt and Alexis Togue teamed up for a 6-1, 6-1 win at second doubles.

Foxboro, 5 @ Milford, 0 – Final – Foxboro’s second doubles team of Sara Brennan and Emily Stow rallied from a one-set deficit to earn a win to complete the sweep on the road over Milford. Brennan and Stow picked up a 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 win while the team of Abby Costa and Alyssa Cloherty notched a 6-2, 6-0 win at first doubles. Athena Li (first singles) and Sarah Prag (second singles) each won 6-0, 6-0 while Maggie McAuliffe earned a 6-0, 6-1 win at third singles.

Sharon, 4 @ Franklin, 1 – Final

North Attleboro, 3 @ Taunton, 2 – Final – North Attleboro freshman Lauren Hunt emerged from a back-and-forth evenly matched first singles match with a tiebreaker win in the third set to clinch the deciding point for the Rocketeers in a win over Taunton. Senior Haley Strom rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 win at third singles while Kyna Sha and Lauren Consentino battled to a 6-1, 7-6 (3) victory at second doubles. Hunt prevailed with a 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (11-9) win at first singles to clinch the match. For Taunton, Kayla Parrett secured a 6-4, 6-4 win at second singles and the team of Brooke Bell and Sam Parrett battled to a 7-6 (4), 6-4 win at first doubles.

King Philip, 39 @ Mansfield, 97 – Final – Mansfield took first place in 14 of the 16 events to earn a big win on senior day. Seniors Trevor Flint took first in the 1 Mile (4:44.2), Ryan Rispoli won the 2 Mile (11:01.6), Stephen Saba added a first place finish in the javelin (118’6), and DaSean Peters-Wolfe clocked a new PR with a first place time of 22.8 in the 200M. Jake Wall qualified for nationals and broke his own school record with a leap of 23’2 in the long jump.

North Attleboro, 80 @ Canton, 56 – Final – For Canton, Tayla Mendez-DeGraw broke the school record in the 100M (12.5) and anchored the winning 4×400 team (52.0).

King Philip, 63 @ Mansfield, 73 – Final – Mansfield took first place in both relays and swept the javelin for key points in a close win over visiting King Philip. Caitlin Dumouchel won the javelin for the Hornets with a throw of 109’9″, Kelsey Hubler was second at 69’8″, and Aimee Cowles took third at 68’4″. In the 4×100 relay, Abbie Scott, Meghan Driscoll, Brooke Penney, and Anna Buckley teamed up to cross first in 51.1 while the Mansfield 4×400 relay team of Katie Miller, Norah Puleo, Caitlin Dumouchel, and Anna Darlington won that event in 4:11.6. Dumouchel picked up her third win with a first-place time of 67.2 in the 400M hurdles.

Taylor Reynolds continued to be hot at the plate with another three-hit day and Amanda Vrabel went 3-for-3 with an RBI. Abby Chin drove in three runs for the Bulldogs.

Attleboro, 12 @ Milford, 9 – Final

Canton, 15 @ Sharon, 8 – Final – Canton earned the win in its first league game of the season and moved back above .500. Jenna Goldstein scored four of Sharon’s goals and added an assist. Cass Barbera had two goals and Keira Lydeard and Athena Merck each scored one. Molly McAlevey had an assist for the Eagles.

Oliver Ames, 4 @ Foxboro, 19 – Final – Foxboro’s offense continued to roll, as the Warriors made it 37 goals over the past two games and got to 100 for the season. Ella Waryas scored five times and assisted on five others and her classmate Lilly Vey added four goals and four assists, as the seniors spearheaded the Foxboro attack. The underclassmen also stepped up, as sophomores Paige Curran and Dylan Rappoli each scored three goals, with Curran adding three helpers as well. Val Beigel and Mary Collins each scored once and assisted on one, while Mya Waryas and Kate Collins tallied once apiece. Maddie Maher made three saves.

Mansfield, 10 @ Taunton, 8 – Final – For Taunton, Alana Tavares had six goals and Tasia Lajoie scored twice but the Tigers fell at home to Mansfield.

Attleboro, 3 @ Milford, 2 – Final – Milford prevailed with a 3-2 win after the teams finished Monday’s contest and then Attleboro secured a 3-2 win in a new match started on Wednesday. In Milford’s win, Thiago Viera won 6-1, 6-2 at second singles while both of the Hawks’ doubles teams won by default (Eric Doucette, Leo Donnelly, 6-4, 1-0 at first singles & Conner McCloud, Nick Figueroa, 6-1, 2-1). On Wednesday, Attleboro swept both doubles matches and one once in singles. Ethan Johnson won 10-3 at first singles, the team of Kevin Rebelo and Malachi Jefferson earned a 10-4 win at first doubles, and Kyle Neuendorf and Alex Harrop picked up a 10-5 win at second doubles.

Milford, 31 @ Mansfield, 100 – Final – Mansfield earned an impressive win at home, taking first in 15 of the 16 events, sweeping the discus, and taking the top two spots in four events. In the discus, Charles Newcomb’s throw of 96’2″ took first while Aengus McGill (92’5.25″) and Billy Gardner (81’5.5″) were second and third, respectively. Mansfield finished first and second in the 1 Mile (Chris Leonard, 4:48; Collin Stevens, 4:49), the 400M (Jack Taylor, 53.0; Caden Riley, 53.1), the 110M hurdles (Ryan Munroe, Evan Rawlings), and the shot put (Newcomb 41’10.5″; Gardner 35’4″).

Girls Outdoor Track
Foxboro, 54 @ Stoughton, 80 – Final

Milford, 65 @ Mansfield, 71 – Final – Mansfield swept the 1 Mile race and took first and second in both the triple jump and the shot put in a close win over Milford. Katie Miller crossed first in the 1 Mile in 5:53, followed by teammates Celia Puleo (6:01) and Meghan Johnston (6:07). In the triple jump, Caitlin Haley landed at 32’2.75″ for first place while Ashley Kirley was right behind at 31’7.5″ for second place. Alissa Cooke’s throw of 27’9.5″ took first in the shot put while Jess Miller earned second place at 25’6.5″.

Volleyball
King Philip, 0 @ Nipmuc, 3 – Final – While the scoreboard didn’t favor the visiting Warriors, head coach Emily Diiulis walked away impressed with her squad. KP took a lead in the second game but couldn’t hold on in a 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-22) loss on the road. “I’m so happy with the improvements we’ve made over the last week,” Diiulis said. “The boys have been working hard in practice and it showed tonight. We had a lot of really great rallies.” Josh Saintilus played well with six kills and five digs, Thomas Beck had a strong showing at the net with nine kills, and libero Billy Hessler finished with eight digs.

Taunton, 3 @ Brockton, 2 – Final – Taunton saw its two-set lead disappear on the road but recovered to win the final set and the match, 3-2 (25-14, 25-23, 20-25, 20-25, 15-11). Daniel Medina spread the ball around on the offensive side, finishing with 61 assists and six digs. Medina fed the ball to Tyler Stewart (28 kills, three blocks, 10 digs), Mattia Casagrande (11 kills, 17 digs), Jakob Thorpe (19 kills, 19 digs, five aces), Faisal Mass (eight kills, five blocks) and Colin MacDougal (three kills, three blocks, seven digs). Travis Nunes continued to be a rock defensively for the Tigers with 15 digs.

Taunton, 5 @ Attleboro, 3 – Final (9 Inn.) – Senior Ty Cali drove in a pair of runs for the Tigers, including the game-winning run in the top of the ninth as Taunton moved to 2-0 on the season. Tied 2-2 through seven innings, the teams traded runs in the eighth inning before Taunton was able to keep the lead for good in the ninth. Cali tripled in the go-ahead run and then came in to score an insurance run on a single from Braden Sullivan (2-for-3, walk). Danny MacDougall struck out six in 4.1 innings of work, allowing five hits and four walks with just one earned allowed. Sophomore Ryan MacDougall earned his first career win in a relief appearance, striking out one in two innings of work with no earned runs allowed.

Stoughton, 7 @ Canton, 9 – Final – Canton scored all of its runs between two innings, including a five-run sixth inning to erase a three-run deficit and earn a win. Stoughton claimed a 1-0 lead in the top of the first but the Bulldogs battled back with four in the bottom half to jump ahead. Stoughton added three runs in the third, two more in the fourth, and one in the sixth to stake a 7-4 lead but the Bulldogs answered once again to retake the lead. Sawyer Julier-Albert (two runs, walk, RBI) and Andrew Middleton (run, two RBI) each had two hits for Canton, who totaled nine as a team. Steven Burbank and Zach Peters also drove in a run in the win. Matt Quan picked up the win in relief, allowing one run with one strikeout and two hits allowed in 3.2 innings of work. For Stoughton, Brady Conlin had four strikeouts, allowing seven earned on nine hits in a complete game effort. At the plate, Conlin went 4-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored. Jake Queeney (run, two RBI), Kyle Doolin (two runs), and Hunter Malkin each had two hits for Stoughton.

Sharon, 7 @ Foxboro, 2 – Final – Sharon freshman Luke Meixel had a memorable debut for the Eagles, tossing a complete game with just two runs allowed on two hits and two walks to lead the Eagles to a win over Foxboro. Meixel had just one earned run allowed while striking out three. JD Rittenberg paced the offense for the Eagles, who blew open a 1-1 game with six runs in the top of the sixth. Rittenberg had three hits, two RBI, and scored two runs while Justin Brown added two hits, an RBI, and a run scored. Tom Marcucella and Sean O’Leary each had a hit and a run scored for Foxboro.

Milford, 3 @ Franklin, 13 – Final – Sophomore Alfred Mucciarone earned a win in his debut on the mound for the Panthers, allowing just two runs on five hits and three walks, striking out five in four innings of work for Franklin. Ethan Voellmicke (three strikeouts) and James Kuczmiec (two strikeouts) each tossed a scoreless inning in relief. Ben Jarosz led the offensive charge with three hits, including a pair of doubles, drove in two runs, and scored once himself. Ryan Gerety (two runs, RBI), Jack Marino (two doubles, two RBI, three runs), and Eisig Chin (two runs, RBI) each had two hits for Franklin.

Attleboro, 2 @ Taunton, 4 – Final – Taunton senior Kelsey White struck out 16 batters and the Tigers held off a late-rally from the Bombardiers to win at home. Taunton scored once in each the first and third innings and tacked on two more in the bottom of the fifth. White allowed two runs, both coming in the top of the seventh, on three hits and two walks, but closed the door shut to preserve the win. Taunton had just three hits on the day but took advantage of five walks and two Bombardier errors. Hanna Aldrich had an RBI and scored a run, White helped her own cause with an RBI, and Kyleah Plumb had a hit and a run scored in the win. In the top of the seventh, Brenna Morse drew a walk and Lora Woyton singled to put two on. Freshman Rylie Camacho smashed a two-run triple to bring the tying run to the plate but Taunton was able to close it out. AHS head coach Mark Homer credited Hailey Perry (shortstop) and Kayla Goldrick (third base) for strong defensive plays to keep Attleboro close. Woyton pitched a complete game, allowing just three hits and five walks.

Foxboro, 14 @ Sharon, 4 – Final – Foxboro exploded for eight runs in the top of the sixth inning, turning a close game into a big win on the road against the Eagles. Foxboro belted out 18 hits as a team, led by senior Morgan Sylvestre’s five-hit day. Sylvestre hit one home run and three doubles, driving in four runs in the process and scoring twice. Peyton Feldman added four hits out of the leadoff spot, including one double and one triple, and scored all four times. Nicole Theriault and Kaylee Bruce each added three hits and eighth-grader Emma Callahan helped her own cause with two hits. In the circle, Callahan tossed a complete game for her second win, scattering eight hits while striking out eight. Trinity Payne struck out nine and went 2-for-4 in the loss. Sharon also got three hits from Julia Earley and two from Penny Rabatsky.

Senior Julia Driscoll led the offensive charge for the Black Knights with two hits, driving in three runs. Junior Sydney Menz (two doubles) and freshman Julie Powers each had two hits for the hosts, freshman Alyssa Edwards recorded her first hit and scored two runs, and seniors Sarah McGrath and Nicole Baker each had a hit on the day. Baker earned the win in the circle for the Knights, scattering seven hits while striking out nine.

King Philip, 7 @ Mansfield, 0 – Final – The Hornets tried to mount a rally in the top of the seventh, loading the bases with two outs and the top of the order due up but KP sophomore catcher Sarah Cullen picked off a runner at third ended the game. Cullen was the star of the game, going 3-for-3 at the plate with three runs scored, recording a double and a triple. She also reached a fourth time after being hit by a pitch and finished with two RBI for KP. The Warriors scored once in the first, three in the third, two in the fourth, and added one more in the sixth. Charlotte Raymond added three hits, including a pair of doubles, and two RBI while sophomore Libby Walsh smashed a two-run triple and had a strong game defensively (two putouts, four assists). Mansfield recorded five hits as a team, including two from Jill Koppy and one each from Olivia Madeira, Molly Kucharski, and Nicole Kobasa.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ North Attleboro, 10 – Final – Zoey McDonough allowed a bunt single and a walk, but then retired the next 18 batters that she faced to earn her first career win and shutout. McDonough finished with 12 strikeouts and helped her own cause with three hits and four RBI. Kelly Colleran continued her hot start at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a walk, two triples, and a solo homer. Emily Nardelli, Belle Clarkin, and Ally Levine each had two hits for North. For OA, Maddie Homer (stolen base) and Grace Simone each recorded a hit.

Sharon, 1 @ Franklin, 21 – Final – Franklin had 11 players find the back of the net in a big win over visiting Sharon. Sophomore Jayden Consigli led the charge with seven goals and one assist while classmate Luke Davis scored four goals and had one assist.

Attleboro, 8 @ Taunton, 16 – Final – Taunton dominated at the draw, leading to a big win over visiting Attleboro. The Tigers won 22 of the 28 draws while both Alana Tavares (two assists) and Tasia Lajoie recorded seven goals. Rosemary McGrath added a pair of goals and an assist while Cali Melo had two helpers. Emily Gannon made 10 saves in the win for the Tigers.

Mansfield, 10 @ Canton, 11 – Final – Click here for a Photo Gallery from this game. Canton jumped out to an 8-2 lead early in the second half, but the Hornets rallied with eight of the game’s final 11 goals and the Bulldogs needed to win the final draw with just 50 seconds to play to hold on for the win. Canton led 3-2 after the first quarter, thanks to a pair of goals from Ella Yeaton and one from Kayla Albert. Lola Varricchione and Grace Danehy got on the board for the visitors. The Bulldogs broke the game open in the second and led 7-2 at halftime. Devan Spinale, Carly Fitzgerald, Emily McCabe, and Yeaton tallied for the home team, and then Allie McCabe scored off a turnover early in the third quarter to build the lead to six. Mansfield rallied with four straight to get back in the game. Lauren Clark scored three of the four and Ava Adams added the other, but Sierra Abbott stopped the run with 12.1 on the clock to send Canton into the fourth up 9-6. Spinale added her second (both with low-angle, backhand shots) a minute into the final quarter. AnnMarie McCoy scored back-to-back goals, but Abbott answered with her second of the night. Danehy got her second just 30 seconds later and then Adams made it a one-goal game with 49.9 on the clock. Canton controlled the draw and ran the ball down to the far corner, winding down the clock for its second win.

Sharon, 4 @ Franklin, 23 – Final – Franklin defended its home turf against visiting Sharon as 13 players found the back of the net for the Panthers. Katie Ryan, Maura Cogavin, and Emma Sousa each scored their first varsity goal in the win.

Attleboro, 4 @ Taunton, 1 – Final – Attleboro won a pair of matches in singles action and picked up two more in doubles play to get a win on the road over Taunton. Evan Sousa earned a 6-4, 7-5 win at second singles while Matt Lortes picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win at third singles. The team of Alejandro Jimenez and Kevin Rebelo prevailed with a 6-3, 6-4 win at first doubles while Kyle Neuendorf and Tyler Rocchio secured a 6-0, 6-0 win at second doubles. Taunton’s Michael Kimmer won a long battle at first singles, 5-7, 6-4, 11-9.

Canton, 4 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – Canton freshman Max Kupferman prevailed in three sets in a well-played match at second singles to help the Bulldogs secure a win on the road. Kupferman prevailed 6-1, 6-7 (8-10), 6-2 at second singles while Minh Duong scored a 6-1, 6-0 win at third singles. The team of Ethan Nguyen and Jalen Townsend didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at first doubles while Elias Jabbour and Charlie Doody teamed up for a 6-4, 6-2 win at second doubles. Stoughton’s Waseem Sablon earned a 6-3, 6-2 win in an excellent match at first singles.

Franklin, 5 @ Milford, 0 – Final – Franklin went on the road and won all five matches in straight sets over Milford. Liam Marr picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win at first singles, Vayshnav Malhotra didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles, and Drew Mahoney earned a 6-0, 6-2 win at third singles. The team of Anish Gundimeda and Sameen Shaik took home a 6-0, 6-1 decision at first doubles while Thomas Broyles and Jay Gorgas notched a 6-1, 6-1 win at second doubles.

King Philip, 0 @ Mansfield, 5 – Final – It was a clean sweep for the Hornets, winning all five matches at home against visiting King Philip. Kailash Elumelai prevailed with a 6-2, 6-4 win at first singles, Dheeraj Valluru won 6-0, 6-1 at second singles, and Benson Delaney picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win at third singles. The team of Kai Schirmacher and Nikhil Lankipalle secured a 6-3, 6-0 win at first doubles, and the team of Jonah Fine and Adam Elsner walked away with a 6-2, 6-4 win at second doubles.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ North Attleboro, 5 – Final – North Attleboro started division play off with a win over visiting Oliver Ames, winning all five matches in straight sets. Jonah Manso didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles, Sam Gallagher took a 6-0, 6-1 decision at second singles, and Will Folan won 6-3, 6-1 at third singles. Taunton, 2 @ Attleboro, 3 – Final – Attleboro picked up a pair of wins from doubles action and then added a key win in singles play to edge out visiting Taunton. Lauren Anthony prevailed 6-2, 6-2 at second singles for the Bombarders while the teams of Rachel Rainey and Saharla Yusuf (first doubles, 6-5, 7-6 (7-5)) and Emma Pion and Tina Lam (second doubles, 7-5, 6-2) each won to help the match win. Taunton’s Jocelyn Pagliuca won 6-3, 6-1 at first singles while Cayeesha Charles won 6-2, 6-3 at third singles for the Tigers.

Stoughton, 2 @ Canton, 3 – Final – Canton won two matches in singles action and added one win from doubles play to edge out visiting Stoughton. Rachel Kupferman didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles and Laura Correal earned a 6-2, 6-1 win at second singles. The team of Lily Hazam and Olivia Durham picked up a 6-0, 6-3 win at first doubles for the Bulldogs. Stoughton’s Allie Lada won 6-1, 6-1 at third singles while the team of Nadia Prokopiuk and Lynn Le earned a 4-6, 6-0, 10-6 win at second doubles.

Sharon, 2 @ Foxboro, 3 – Final – Foxboro’s Sarah Prag emerged with a three-set win at third singles to secure the winning point in the Warriors’ 3-2 win over Sharon. Athena Li (first singles) and Pam Nelson (second singles) each won 6-0, 6-0 to give Foxboro two points while Sharon’s Anjali Jha and Julia Zelevinsky (first doubles, 7-6 (7-2), 7-6 (7-3)) and the team of Tanvi Mittal and Sasha Fein (second doubles, 6-2, 6-0) each won to give the Eagles two points. Prag dropped the first set but rallied to win the match 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 to get the win.

Junior Charlotte Moynihan earned a 6-4, 2-6, 6-1 win at first singles, senior Haley Strom won 6-2, 6-3 at second singles, and freshman Lauren Hunt grabbed her first win with a 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 win at third singles. The team of juniors Lauren Consentino and Kyna Sha won 6-1, 6-3 at first doubles for North. Oliver Ames’ Morgan Vasiliou and Caroline Peper picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win at second doubles.

Greater New Bedford Voke, 0 @ Taunton, 3 – Final – Taunton defended home court with a 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-12) sweep over visiting Greater New Bedford. Tyler Stewart had a big game for the Tigers with 17 kills, eight blocks, and five digs. Mattos Casagrande added seven kills, two aces, and a block while Faisal Mass chipped in with two kills and four blocks. Daniel Medina added two blocks and two aces to go along with his 29 assists while Travis Nunes played well in the back row.
