Baseball
Attleboro, 4 @ Oliver Ames, 5 – Final – In a back-and-forth contest, Oliver Ames senior Patrick Finnerty drove in the game-winning run with the bases loaded to give the Tigers the walk-off win over Attleboro. The visitors took the lead in the top of the first inning after stealing a pair of bases. Oliver Ames responded with three runs in the bottom of the third as Finnerty and Jake Waxman drew back-to-back walks with the bases loaded and Ian Kelly scored on a wild pitch to make it 3-1. The top of the sixth inning saw Attleboro rally for three runs and go back ahead. In the bottom of the seventh, Nathanial Lewis and Nathan Carpentier walked and Joe Cicchetti was hit by a pitch to load the bases with no outs. Kelly drew OA’s 10th walk to tie the game and then Finnerty delivered a single to center for the win. Junior Andrew Zagami earned the win in relief with six strike outs. Nick Clark allowed one run on one hit and four walks in four innings of work for OA.

Franklin, 7 @ Canton, 1 – Final – Franklin cashed in on a handful of extra base hits and senior Jacob Jette picked up where he left off last season on the mound in the Panthers’ win on the road. Jette didn’t allow an earned run in 5.1 innings of work, striking out five with two hits and two walks allowed. Jake Shaughnessy and Austin Campbell combined for 1.2 innings of scoreless relief. Offensively, Ryan Gerety (two hits, two runs, RBI) and Eisig Chin (two hits, two RBI, run) each had a triple while Chris Goode (RBI) and Evan Raider (run) each had a double. Jack Marino added an RBI and two runs and sophomore Henry Digiorgio had a hit and a run scored.

King Philip, 15 @ Foxboro, 6 – Final – Tied 3-3 after two innings, King Philip exploded for seven two-out runs in the top of the third inning and never looked back for a season-opening win over Foxboro. With the bases loaded and two outs in the third, Tommy Martorano singled to bring in Rudy Gately (two runs) and Matt DiFore. Eli Reed scored on a single from Travis Crawford (three hits, two runs, two RBI), and Shawn Legere (three RBI, four runs) tripled to clear the bases. Gately got the win on the bump, allowing five runs (one earned) on six hits and one walk, striking out nine. Matt Kelley, who drove in three runs with a pair of hits, struck out two in an inning of relief. For Foxboro, Ryan LeClair (RBI, two runs) and Sean O’Leary (two RBI) each had three hits, helping the Warriors take a 3-2 lead after an inning. Freshman Nolan Gordon had a strong showing in relief for Foxboro, allowing two runs (none earned) on one hit and two walks, striking out five in 2.1 innings of work.

Mansfield, 4 @ North Attleboro, 5 – Final (13 inn.) – North Attleboro senior Brody Rosenberg drew a one-out walk in the bottom of the 13th inning and worked his way around the bases on a pair of errors, scoring the game-winning in a marathon game season opener for both teams. Mansfield opened the scoring with a run in the top of the first on a sacrifice fly from Jimmy Gilleran but North took control with three runs in the bottom half of the inning, an RBI single from Danny Curran, an RBI single from Rosenberg, and Curran scoring on a passed ball. Mansfield cut into the lead with a run in the third (Jake Maydak RBI) and a run in the fifth (Gilleran RBI single) to tie the game. The Hornets went ahead in the top of the sixth on a solo home run from Jared Fraone (3-for-3, three runs) to left field but North answered in the bottom half (Tyler Bannon sac fly) to make it 4-4. Sophomore Connor Curtis was stellar in relief for the Hornets, pitching seven innings with one (unearned) run allowed on three hits and no walks, striking out seven. Derek Maceda got the win for the Rocketeers with two scoreless innings of relief, allowing one hit with a pair of strikeouts.

Sharon, 1 @ Milford, 8 – Final – Junior Tyler Caldon allowed just two hits and walked three while striking out nine to lead the Scarlet Hawks to a win over Sharon. Caldon allowed just one earned run in six innings of work for the win. Damien Carter, who tossed a scoreless inning in relief with one strikeout, had a pair of hits and two runs scored, Ian Carter went 4-for-4 with three RBI and one run scored, and Evan Cornelius added a pair of hits, a pair of runs scored and one RBI.

Stoughton, 1 @ Taunton, 12 – Final (5 inn.)

Softball
Oliver Ames, 1 @ Attleboro, 9 – Final – Lily Routhier made a big splash in her debut for the Bombardiers, getting the win in the circle as well as a big performance at the plate. She tossed a complete game with just one earned run allowed on two hits. At the dish, she went 4-for-4 with two runs scored. Sarah Mayer added three hits and scored twice while Rylie Camacho had one hit, reached twice more, and scored twice. For OA, Caitlin Miller went 2-for-3 with an RBI while Crystalia Covel scored a run and had a stolen base. Katie Melendy pitched five innings for OA with four runs allowed while Taylor Marino pitched the sixth inning with one run allowed.

Canton, 0 @ Franklin, 12 – Final (5 inn.) – Aislinn Lavery set the tone in the circle and at the plate for the Panthers, who opened the season with a big win over visiting Canton. Lavery allowed just one hit with six strikeouts in five innings of work, and then led off the game with a triple and scored on a fielder’s choice from Julia White. Carly Pellegri aded three hits, including a double, with four RBI and three runs scored, Katy Liberman had two hits, including a double, and two RBI, and Avery Chalk added two hits. Freshman Sarah Boozang had an RBI single to score Reece Allen (triple).

Foxboro, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – Freshman Liv Petrillo’s first career hit proved to be a big one for King Philip, a triple in the bottom of the sixth that broke a scoreless tie and drove in the game-winning run. In a scoreless game in the bottom of the sixth, sophomore Taylor Regan slapped a double and senior Mia Bennett was hit by a pitch to put runners on first and second. Petrillo drilled a line drive to right for a two-run triple to put KP ahead 2-0. Sophomore Maddie Paschke laid down the squeeze bunt to bring Petrillo in to make it 3-0. Senior Emma Sheehan tossed a complete game one-hitter for KP, striking out seven without issuing a walk. Foxboro freshman Vittoria Cuscia was impressive in the circle, holding KP without a run for the first five innings. She finished with seven strikeouts.

North Attleboro, 5 @ Mansfield, 3 – Final – Kelly Colleran went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI and Zoey McDonough struck out 12, as North pulled out a road win in the season opener. The Rocketeers opened the scoring with a three-run third. Colleran doubled to plate Julia Forman and Grace Simmons and then came home on a two-out single by Shaelyn Burns. Ally Levine led off the fifth with a double and scored on a two-run homer by Colleran, which turned out to be the game winner. Mansfield rallied with two runs in the fifth. Jill Koppy walked to lead off the inning and stole second. Bunts from Liv Madeira and Sydney Fernando loaded the bases and Callie Lake brought in a pair with a single. The Hornets loaded the bases again but couldn’t get a two-out hit to keep the rally going. Mansfield added a run in the bottom of the seventh. Fernando walked to get things started and Cat Kipp singled. Madeira drove in a run with a single. Casey Moussette and Alanna Conley reached on fielder’s choices to load the bases but again the Hornets weren’t able to get a two-out hit off McDonough. Amanda Schwarz made her varsity debut for Mansfield, striking out three and giving up eight hits. Emma Hanwell and Burns both made nice plays in the field to help the Rocketeers pull out the victory.

Sharon, 3 @ Milford, 4 – Final (8 inn.) – Milford rallied for two runs in the fifth inning to tie the game and then sophomore Maeve Williams delivered the game-winning hit with an RBI single to give the Scarlet Hawks a walk-off win in extra innings. Milford took a 1-0 lead in the second on a double from freshman Cae Pellegrini followed by a pair of sacrifice bunts. Sharon responded in the third and fourth to go ahead 4-1 before the Hawks brought the game level game. In the eighth, freshman Jianna Fernandes led off with a walk, stole second, and scored on Williams’ hit up the middle. Pellegrini and senior Gianna Cacciola both played well defensively while sophomore Maeve Driscoll got the win with five innings in relief, striking out eight with no earned runs allowed on four hits. Sharon’s Trinity Payne struck out 18 batters in the loss.

Stoughton, 0 @ Taunton 13 – Final (5 inn.) – Taunton got its offense going with three runs in the first inning and scored in each of the next three innings, including a seven-run bottom of the fourth to open the season with a big win. Junior Kaysie DeMoura (RBI, two runs) led the charge with three hits while classmates Ava Venturelli (two RBI, double, two stolen bases), Hayley Krockta, Kyleah Plumb (three RBI, triple, double), and senior Kylie Thorpe (triple, RBI) each had two hits. Senior Liv Mendonca struck out three with two hits allowed in four shutout innings while freshman Catherine Larson fanned one with one hit allowed in an inning of relief. Stoughton’s Sydney Menz had a double and a spectacular catch in center field, robbing the Tigers of a home run. Alyssa Edwards (double) and Maddie Hinds also had a hit for the Black Knights.




Boys Lacrosse
Attleboro, 2 @ Franklin, 22 – Final – Franklin exploded for nine goals in the opening quarter and never looked back in its first game of the season. Junior Jayden Consigli scored six goals and classmates Luke Davis and Tyler Sacchetti each added four apiece, all in the first half. Sophomore CJ Perro and junior Will Buckley each scored twice in the second half for the Panthers.

Canton, 16 @ Milford, 5 – Final – Canton’s Sam Carlino scored six goals and set up six more to lead the Bulldogs to a season-opening win on the road at Milford. Brendan Tourgee added four goals in the win along with one assist, Eddie Gillis scored a hat trick and added one helper, and Pat Drury (two goals, five assists) and Jeff Chaput (two goals, two assists) both had big games for the Bulldogs. Freshman Ben Miller played well in net, earning his first career win.

Foxboro, 7 @ North Attleboro, 9 – Final

Sharon, 1 @ King Philip, 13 – Final – King Philip raced out to a 7-0 lead by halftime and pulled away with six more goals in the second half to open the season with a win over Sharon. Ben Riggs paced the offense with three goals while Thomas Brewster, Sean Crowther, and Nolan Feyler each scored twice. James Boldy made 12 saves in net to earn the win for KP.

Girls Lacrosse
Franklin, 21 @ Attleboro, 1 – Final

Milford, 8 @ Canton, 9 – Final – Canton built a 6-2 lead at halftime and then held off a second half comeback attempt from Milford to open the season with a win, the first for new head coach Casey Bradley. Allie McCabe scored twice and had an assist while Emily McCabe netted the game-winning goal. Elyse Broderick made seven saves in net for the Bulldogs. For Milford, Aislinn Bennett scored five goals, Emily Croteau had a pair of goals, and Carly Haley added one.

North Attleboro, 4 @ Foxboro, 19 – Final – Click here for a Photo Gallery from this game. Paige Curran and Mya Waryas each scored six goals, as Foxboro opened its season with a big win over a division rival. Curran, the league’s leading scorer from last year, added three assists and Waryas had one helper as well. Mary Collins chipped in with four goals and two assists, Valerie Beigel had a pair of goals, and freshman Cate Noone had a goal and an assist on her debut. Grace Riley, Kate Collins, and Nina Della Valle also scored for the Warriors. Lilli Jones made five saves to pick up her first win in goal. Ava McKeon and Morgan Eaton each scored twice for North.

King Philip, 17 @ Sharon, 0 – Final – Nine different Warriors found the back of the net as King Philip opened its season in style with a big win on the road over Sharon. Julia Marsden, Lily Brown, and Haley Izydorczak combined for 11 points in the win, Makenzie McDevitt scored a hat trick in the win and Ilah Weiblen and Abby MacDonald each scored once.

Oliver Ames, 19 @ Taunton, 2 – Final – Using a quick transition game and strong ball possession, Oliver Ames roared to a big season opening win on the road over Taunton. First year OA head coach Rylie Dalzell credited the attackers’ ride for causing a lot of turnovers that the visiting Tigers took advantage of. Jess Widdop and Claire O’Rourke combined for the win in net for OA. Casey O’Leary and Cali Melo each scored once for Taunton.




Boys Tennis
Oliver Ames, 3 @ Attleboro, 2 – Final – Sophomore Nicholas Westerbeke rallied from a one-set deficit to win two in a row to take the point at first singles and give Oliver Ames a 3-2 win over the Bombardiers. Westerbeke dropped the first set 4-6 but won 6-1, 6-0 to get the win. Kylash Gannesh (6-0, 6-1) and Raphael Vache (6-1, 6-2) won at second and third singles, respectively, for OA. Attleboro’s Tyler Rocchio and Kyle Neuendorf took first singles 6-3, 6-4 while Malachi Jefferson and Alex Suarez were victorious (6-1, 6-2) at second doubles.

Canton, 2 @ Franklin, 3 – Final – Canton took first and second singles in straight sets but Franklin won both doubles and third singles to get the win at home. Senior Drew Mahoney was the lone Panther to win in singles action, taking third singles 6-0, 6-3. The team of senior Tim O’Keefe and sophomore Ahan Shetty won 6-1, 6-1 at first doubles and the team of senior Sameen Shaik and sophomore Jay Gorgas secured a 6-0, 6-0 win at second doubles. Canton’s Max Kupferman won 6-4, 6-2 at first singles and Suraj Ramanthan took a 6-1, 6-1 decision at second singles.

Foxboro, 3 @ King Philip, 2 – Final – A sweep of singles action lifted Foxboro to a win over the road at King Philip to start the season. Garrett Spillane won in straight sets (6-1, 6-1) at first singles, Bo Canfield added a 6-2, 6-3 win at second singles, and Raj Jetty earned a 6-3, 6-4 win at third singles. KP’s Diego Nieto and Connor Sachleben rallied from a one-set deficit to secure a 5-7, 6-0, 6-2 win at first doubles while Adam Gousie and Noah Ihley grabbed a 6-2, 6-4 win at second doubles.

North Attleboro, 0 @ Mansfield, 5 – Final – Mansfield opened the season in style, taking all five matches in straight sets to knock off North Attleboro. Freshman Neema Khosravani was impressive in his first career match, winning 6-0, 6-3 at first singles, sophomore Kailash Elumelai secured a 6-1, 7-5 at second singles, and sophomore Iniyan Karruppusami added a 6-2, 6-1 win at third singles. The tream of senior Jonah Fine and junior Benson Delaney didn’t drop a set in a 6-0, 6-0 win at first doubles while junior Jesse Colchamiro and sophomore Nikhil Nain won 6-2, 6-2 at second doubles.

Sharon, 5 @ Milford, 0 – Final – A trio of underclassman swept singles action for Sharon as the Eagles opened the season with a win on the road over Milford. Sophomore Matthew Lally, sophomore Alex Budovalcev, and freshman Jacob Slavsky all won 6-0, 6-0 in first, second, and third singles, respectively. In doubles action, seniors Mitch Weiss and Ruemon Bhattacharyya grabbed a 6-1. 6-0 win at first doubles, and the team of freshman Sava Kassev and junior Hyojae Park didn’t drop a set in a 6-0, 6-0 win at second doubles.

Girls Tennis
Attleboro, 2 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final – In an incredible even match up, Oliver Ames emerged with a hard-fought win over a game Attleboro squad. The Tigers got wins in straight sets from Hannah Farber at first singles (7-5, 6-3) and Mia Corradini at third singles (6-3, 6-1). OA’s second doubles team of tri-captain Shelby Brass and Marina Mierzwinski grabbed a 6-0, 7-6 (7-1) for the Tigers’ second point of the match. Attleboro’s Madison Fuscaldo battled for a 6-3, 6-7 (10-12), 6-3 win in a marathon match at second singles, and the team of Tina Lam and Sahara Yusuf grabbed a 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 (7-3) win at first doubles.

Franklin, 3 @ Canton, 2 – Final – A sweep in doubles action plus a hard fought win at third singles gave the Panthers the close win on the road at Canton. Sarah Schiavo battled her way to a 6-4, 7-5 win at third singles to clinch the win for the Panthers. The team of Amulya Jayam and Shriya Rasish won 6-4, 6-3 at first doubles while Chloe Essam teamed up with Sydney Tolonen for a 6-1, 6-1 win at second doubles for the Panthers. Canton’s Camila Cutter earned a 6-1, 7-5 victory at first singles while Laura Correal prevailed from a well-played second singles match with a 7-6 (10), 6-4 win.

King Philip, 2 @ Foxboro, 3 – Final – Foxboro took a pair of wins from singles action and one more from doubles to get a win over King Philip. Athena Li (first singles) and Hailey Kornbluth (second singles) both won 6-0, 6-0 for the hosts while the team of Abigail Costa and Juliana Preston secured a 7-5, 4-6, 7-5 win at first doubles for Foxboro. KP’s Sammie Taylor won 6-2, 6-2 at third singles and Caroline Frese teamed up with Lauren Caspter for a 6-4, 6-3 win at second doubles.

Mansfield @ North Attleboro, 3:45

Milford, 0 @ Sharon, 5 – Final – It was a clean sweep in the season opener for the Eagles, winning all five matches in straight sets against visiting Milford. Navya Shukla won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles, Ali Aguilar grabbed a 6-1, 6-2 win at second singles, and Ritu Sreeram earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at third singles. Sharon’s first doubles team of Abby Vilk and Judy Song didn’t drop a set in a 6-0, 6-0 win while the team of Sasha Fein and Sophia Oh were victorious 6-1, 6-1 at second doubles.

Taunton, 4 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – Taunton took two wins from each singles and doubles action to get a win on the road over Stoughton. Brooke Bell earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at second singles and Ava Alves grabbed a 6-1, 6-0 win at third singles for the Tigers. The first doubles team of Morgan Smith and Sam Parrett prevailed 6-3, 6-2 for Taunton while Kelsey Brennan and Janelle Garcia won 6-3, 6-3 at second doubles. Stoughton’s Ally Lada emerged from a hard-fought singles match with a 7-5, 7-5 (10-8) win.

Boys Volleyball
Taunton, 0 @ Barnstable, 3 – Final

King Philip, 0 @ Medfield, 3 – Final – Freshman Jacob Moores had four blocks and senior Danny Alexandre added three more but the Warriors dropped their first match of the season on the road at Medfield.

D1 South
#8 Norwood, 7 @ #1 Franklin, 11 – Final – Franklin’s offense stayed hot in the postseason as the Panthers pushed across double-digit runs for the second straight game (and sixth time this season) in an 11-7 win over upset-minded Norwood, the #8 seed in the bracket. Franklin built a four-run lead (6-2) through the first four innings but the Mustangs rallied to tie the game with a four-run fifth inning. Franklin responded with five runs in the bottom half and never looked back to book its spot in the D1 South semifinals. Franklin received contributions from up and down the lineup with Nate Cooke (run, RBI) and Jack Marino (run, two RBI) each recording a pair of hits in the win. Chris Goode added two runs on two walks, a hit, and an RBI, Ryan Gerety and Luc Boudreau each scored a pair of runs, Jake Fitzgibbons smacked an RBI double, and Ben Jarosz had an a hit, a walk, and an RBI. James Kuczmiec earned the win in relief, tossing 1.1 innings with one run allowed on one hit and two walks, striking out one. Sophomore Alfred Mucciarone was had a strong start, allowing two runs on four hits over four innings without issuing a walk. Franklin will play #13 seed BC High on Friday at 7:00.

#7 Taunton, 13 @ #2 Bridgewater-Raynham, 0 – Final – Taunton had one of its best showings of the season, tying a season-high with 13 runs while blanking the #2 seed Bridgewater-Raynham to advance to the D1 South Semifinals. On the mound, senior Danny MacDougall tossed six shutout innings, working around four hits and three walks while striking out three in the win. And offensively, MacDougall had a pair of hits, driving in one run while scoring four times. Sophomore Ryan MacDougall had a big day a the dish for the Tigers, who scored single runs in the first and second innings, twice in the fourth, three times in the sixth, and put the game away for good with six runs in the top of the seventh inning. The younger MacDougall had three hits on the day, driving in five runs — one on an RBI single in the first, two on a base hit in the fourth, and two more in the sixth. Alyjah Marshall recored three RBI and a run, Dawson Bryce had three hits, three runs, and two RBI, Braden Sullivan added two hits and two RBI, and Colby DeCouta scored once and had two hits in the win. Taunton will travel to #3 Xaverian in the D1 South Semifinals on Friday at 4:00.

D2 South
#8 North Attleboro, 17 @ #1 Nauset, 9 – Final (8 Inn.) – Down to its last out in the seventh inning, North Attleboro rallied to tie the game to force extras, where the Rocketeers pulled away to earn a big win over previously undefeated Nauset. In another roller coaster, back-and-forth contest, North scored twice in the final frame to stay alive. Christian Bates was hit by a pitch to lead off, Jared Penta singled to left to move pinch runner Eric Malcolmson to second and sophomore Derek Maceda was intentionally walked to load the bases. Junior Gavin Wells, who had the game-winning hit against OA in the opening round, hit a two-out, two-run single to center to tie the game in the top of the seventh inning. North senior Aidan Weir tossed a scoreless seventh inning to force extras as sophomore Aidan Conrad threw a runner out at second to end the inning. In the top of the eighth, Penta (four hits) plated Tyler Bannon with a single down the third base line to give North a 10-9 advantage. North went on to score seven more runs on four hits, six walks, and two hit batters. In total, the Rocketeers recorded 15 hits, 14 walks and three hit batters, bringing in 16 of the 17 runs on an RBI. North jumped out to an early lead (4-0 on a hit, error, and six walks) but Nauset battled back to tie the game 5-5 after three innings. The Warriors took their first lead in the top of the fifth but Maceda stroked a two-run single to put North back in front, 7-6, in the sixth. Nauset took a 9-7 lead with a three-run home. Weir closed the game out in the bottom of the tenth with a pair of ground outs and a strikeout. North Attleboro will play again on Friday, scheduled for a 4:00 PM start against the winner of #4 Dighton-Rehoboth and #5 Hopkinton.

Softball
D1 South
#9 Walpole, 0 @ #1 Taunton, 9 – Final – Taunton jumped out to an early lead with a pair of runs in the first inning and added runs in four of the next five innings to take down the visiting Timberwolves of Walpole. The Tigers scored a pair of runs in each the first, third, fifth and sixth innings, tacking on a single run in the fourth. Meanwhile, senior Kelsey White continued her dominance in the circle with another complete game shutout. In seven innings, White allowed four hits and one walk while striking out 15 batters. Offensively, the Tigers had nine hits with White smacking a pair of home runs, driving in a total of four. Senior Hanna Aldrich had three runs, including a triple and a home run, finishing with three RBI. McKenzie McAloon added a hit and an RBI for Taunton. Taunton will host Hock rival and #4 seed King Philip on Thursday at 7:00.

#10 Mansfield, 5 @ #7 Silver Lake, 8 – Final – Mansfield tried to mount a seventh inning comeback but was unable to erase a five-run deficit and saw its playoff run come to an end at Silver Lake. The Hornets trailed 8-3 heading to the final inning, but Callie Lake doubled, pinch hitter Olivia Harnden walked, and Jill Koppy singled to bring in a run. With two runners on, Casey Moussette hit a deep fly ball, but it stayed in play for the center fielder. It was Mansfield that got off to a good start to the game, with a pair of two-out runs in the first. Koppy started the rally by getting by a pitch, Moussette singled, and Molly Kucharski brought both runs in with a single. The Hornets pushed the lead to 3-1 in the fourth on a Nicole Kobasa double and an Alanna Conley RBI single. Silver Lake was able to score twice to tie the game in the bottom half of the inning and went ahead with four runs in the fifth.

D2 South
#12 Foxboro, 5 @ #4 Notre Dame Academy, 0 – Final – Emma Callahan struck out six and allowed only two hits to record a shutout and keep Foxboro’s playoff run going. Fiona Dunn had a big hit from the seven-hole, leadoff hitter Peyton Feldman scored a pair of runs, and Morgan Sylvestre had a sac fly with a deep fly to center. Foxboro coach Mark Maguire said, “We took advantage of some mistakes to get some runs and we’re on to the semis.” The Warriors will travel to top seed Middleboro on Thursday at 6:30.

Boys Lacrosse
D1 South

#16 Durfee, 1 @ #1 Franklin, 15 – Final (5 Inn.) – Franklin exploded for 12 runs in the fourth innning, turning a two-run game into a blowout against visiting Durfee. The Panthers built a 3-1 lead over the first three innings but the offense was nearly unstoppable in the fourth, recording nine hits and three walks to put the game out of reach. Junior Chris Goode (double, run, three RBI), sophomore Ryan Gerety (double, three runs, two RBI) and freshman Henry DiGiorgio (three runs, RBI) all smacked three hits to lead the way for the Franklin offense. CJ Jette added two hits and two runs, Jack Marino drove in two runs and scored twice, Jake Fitzibbons hit a double, had a walk and drove in two runs, Nate Cooke reached twice with an RBI, and Ben Jarosz had a hit, two walks, a run scored and an RBI. Jacob Jette earned the win on the mound, allowing one run on three hits and a walk in four innings of work while striking out six. Franklin will host #8 Norwood on Wednesday at 7:00PM.

#10 Walpole, 4 @ #7 Taunton, 6 – Final (8 Inn.) – Taunton senior Danny MacDougall launched a walk-off two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth as the Tigers survived a scare from visiting Walpole. The Timberwolves got off to a strong start with a pair of runs in the top of the first inning but Taunton was quick to respond, plating four runs in the bottom of the first. Ty Cali, Dawson Bryce, and Danny MacDougall all singled to load the bases and sophomore Ryan MacDougall cleared them with a three-run triple to put the hosts ahead. A wild pitch allowed Ryan MacDougall to score to make it 4-2. Walpole cut the deficit to one with a run in the top of the second and then tied the game with a single in the top of the seventh. Bryce managed a two-out single in the bottom of the eighth to keep the inning alive and Danny MacDougall launched his third home run of the year to win it. Conor Quinlan shined in relief for the Tigers, taking over to start the third inning. Quinlan allowed just one run on five hits, striking out eighth to get the win. Taunton will travel to #2 seed Bridgewater-Raynham on Wednesday at 4:00.

#12 Mansfield, 0 @ #5 Wellesley, 1 – Final – Mansfield went pitch-for-pitch with Wellesley but couldn’t push across a run, falling 1-0 on the road to the Raiders. Aaron Blinn allowed just one run on three hits without issuing a walk, striking out nine in five innings of work. James Gilleran struck out two in a scoreless inning of relief. Mansfield was limited to just two hits between two Wellesley pitchers, putting on five baserunners via walk but couldn’t get a run home.

#9 Oliver Ames, 11 @ #8 North Attleboro, 12 – Final – North Attleboro’s Gavin Wells singled up the middle with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Rocketeers a walk-off win over Oliver Ames in an epic back-and-forth battle at Community Field. Oliver Ames jumped ahead with five runs in the first two innings and a two-run home run from Jake Waxman helped push the Tigers’ lead to 7-4 in the top of the fifth innings. The Rocketeers responded with six runs in the bottom half as Christian Bates smacked a two-run double to tie the game and Derek Maceda put North ahead with a two-run double for a 9-7 advantage. Wells added an RBI single in the sixth to make it a three-run game and Dennis Colleran launched a solo home run to make it 11-7 going into the last inning. Down to their final three outs, the Tigers rallied to tie the game as Nate Fulford blasted a three-run home run to make it 11-11. Jared Penta led off the bottom of the seventh with a single and stole second. North loaded the bases with no outs after an intentional walk and Wells brought in the game-winner with a base hit. Penta and Wells each had three hits for the Rocketeers while Colleran and Tyler Bannon each had two hits. For OA, Will Whiteside went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs while Jadon Ricci (two RBI, two runs), Waxman, and Patrick Finnerty (run, RBI) each had two hits. North Attleboro will travel to #1 seed Nauset on Wednesday with first pitch scheduled for 1:00PM.

#11 Canton, 0 @ #5 Plymouth South, 4 – Final – Plymouth South scored twice in each of the first two innings and that was all the offense the Panthers needed to knock off visiting Canton. The Bulldogs were limited to just three hits total with Nate Hewitt recording a pair of them, including a double. Matt Quan also reached base twice with one hit and one walk.

D1 South
#16 Stoughton, 0 @ #1 Taunton, 17 – Final (5 Inn.) – Taunton opened its playoffs with an offensive explosion. The Tigers had 17 hits as a team, including three homers, and rolled to a big win. McKenzie McAloon led the way, going 4-for-4 with two doubles and a triple, four runs scored, and five RBI. Hayley Krockta went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and four RBI and bashed a home run. Angie Lynch (2-for-4) added a homer, drove in two, and scored twice, while Tayah DaCosta had Taunton’s third homer, part of a 3-for-4 day where she drove in three and scored two runs. Kelsey White dominated in the circle, allowing only one hit and striking out 11 over five innings. Nicole Baker had the lone hit for the Black Knights. Taunton hosts Walpole on Wednesday in the quarterfinal.

#13 Milton, 3 @ #4 King Philip, 6 – Final – King Philip overcame an early three-run deficit to fend off an upset big from Milton. An infield single, a bunt single, and a home run in the top of the first gave the Wildcats an early 3-0 lead but KP scored in four straight innings between the third and the sixth to get the lead for good. Paige Berdos got the hosts on the board in the third inning, leading off with a single, stealing a base and scoring on a sac fly from Charlotte Raymond. Patience at the plate helped the Warriors bring two more runs in during the fourth inning to tie the game. Maddie Paschke walked, Ava Kelly singled, and Taylor Regan walked to load the bases before Jordan Bennett drew a walk to bring a run in. Berdos was then hit by a pitch to bring in another run to make it 3-3. In the bottom of the fifth, sophomore Sarah Cullen smacked a two-run home run to put KP ahead for the first time and the Warriors added a key insurance run in the sixth when Raymond drove in Berdos with a single. Bennett settled in nicely after the first inning, allowing just one base runner after the third inning which was a walk in fifth that was erased on a double play. King Philip will host #5 seed Plymouth North on Wednesday at 6:30 at the Plainville Athletic League complex.

#18 Mansfield, 5 @ #2 Natick, 4 – Final (8 Inn.) – Mansfield pulled off the upset of the tournament so far, going on the road and beating the number-two seed in extra innings. Natick came from behind to tied the game in the seventh and force extras, but Jill Koppy led off the top of the eighth with a triple and she came in to score the game-winning run on a two-out single from Ashlyn Conley. Natick had a 2-0 lead after four innings, but the Hornets responded with a four-run fifth. Ashlyn Conley singled to start the rally and Nicole Kobasa followed with a hit of her own. Alanna Conley drove them both in with a single. After an error moved Conley to third, she was brought home on a bunt by Olivia DeTrolio that led to another defensive mistake. Callie Lake bunted and heads up base running from DeTrolio turned it into Mansfield’s fourth run. Mansfield will travel to Silver Lake in the D1 South quarterfinal.

#14 Attleboro, 3 @ #3 Bishop Feehan, 4 – Final

#11 Bridgewater-Raynham, 3 @ #6 North Attleboro, 2 – Final (9 Inn.) – North faced extra innings for the second playoff game in a row, but the Rocketeers couldn’t find a way past the defending South champions. The Rocketeers got off to a great start with a run in the first. Mandi Hanewich doubled and was bunted to third by Emily Nardelli. Zoey McDonough drove in the go-ahead run with a single. North doubled its lead in the fourth. Ally Levine reached on an error and pinch runner Emma Hanwell scored on a Shaelyn Burns double. B-R tied the game in the fifth with a two-run inning. The game stayed tied until the top of the ninth when a solo homer put the Trojans in front. McDonough allowed only one earned run and struck out seven in the loss. North also flashed the leather, with two double plays, one initiated by Belle Clarkin and the other started by Kelly Colleran.

D2 South
#12 Foxboro, 18 @ #5 Diman, 6 – Final – The top three in the lineup drove in 13 combined runs and the Warriors rolled to a win in Fall River. Foxboro scored 10 runs in the first four innings and scored at least once in every inning but the sixth. Leadoff hitter Peyton Feldman set the table for Foxboro, as she went 3-for-3 with three walks, but she also added punch with a double, a triple, three runs scored, and five RBI. Emma Callahan had a pair of hits and drove in four and Morgan Sylvestre went 2-for-5 with four RBI. Jillian Slattery continued her strong playoffs with two hits, three runs scored, and two RBI from the nine-hole. Fiona Dunn scored four times and Nicole Theriault scored three times for the Warriors. Callahan had seven strikeouts and got better as the game went on, retiring the final 11 hitters that she faced to pick up her second postseason win. Foxboro will travel to Notre Dame Academy in the D2 South quarterfinal.

#22 Canton, 6 @ #6 Plymouth South, 18 – Final – Canton cut an 8-0 deficit to just three in the fourth inning, but Plymouth South scored eight times over the fifth and sixth innings to seal the win and a place in the quarterfinal. Brogan O’Leary sparked the fourth inning rally with a single and Taylor Reynolds and Olivia Mackwell both drove in runs. Amanda Vrabel had the big hit, a two-RBI triple. Reynolds added another RBI in the fifth.

#16 Mansfield, 3 @ #1 Franklin, 16 – Final – Franklin’s Justin Alexander only lost one faceoff as the Panthers rolled to their third win over Mansfield this season, this one in the state tournament. Sophomore Luke Davis led the attack with three goals and six assists, Matt Lazzaro added three goals and four assists and Jayden Consigli netted five goals in the win. Owen Kielty added a pair of goals and Joe Consigli notched a goal and four assists. Franklin will host #9 seed Wellesley on Wednesday at 6:30.

#9 Acton-Boxboro, 10 @ #1 Franklin, 15 – Final – Franklin jumped ahead of Acton-Boxboro early and never surrendered the lead to advance to the next round. The Panthers took a 5-1 lead after the first quarter and pushed the advantgae to 11-1 by halftime. Franklin held a 13-4 advantage going into the final quarter where A-B pumped in some goals to tighten the score. Katie Jones scored three goals and had two assists while Katie Peterson accounted for a pair of goals and a pair of assists in the win. Jamie Tanner played well on defense and in the midfield, notching six draw controls and three caused turnovers. Brigid Earley made eight saves in the win for Franklin, who will host #5 seed Lincoln-Sudbury on Wednesday at 4:00.

#8 Needham, 3 @ #1 Franklin, 2 – Final – Franklin took wins at first and second singles but lost both doubles matches and third singles, falling to Needham to end the season. Senior Liam Marr emerged from a battle at first singles with a 6-4, 4-6, 14-12 win while Vayshnav Malhotra recorded a 6-3, 2-6, 10-5 win at second singles for the Panthers.

#11 Plymouth North, 0 @ #3 Sharon, 5 – Final – Sharon won all five matches in straight sets to get past Plymouth North and advance to the D1 South Semifinals. Freshman Mehul Bhattacharyya secured a 6-1, 6-1 win at first singles, junior Ruemon Bhattacharyya added a 6-4, 6-3 win at second singles, and junior Max Chen battled to a 6-0, 6-3 win at third singles. Sharon’s first doubles team of freshmen Matthew Lally and Alex Budoraclev won in straight sets while the Eagles also were victorious at second doubles. Sharon will travel to #2 seed Brookline on Wednesday at 3:00 at Waldstein Park.

Athena Li rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 win at first singles, Pam Nelson continued her hot streak with a 6-0, 6-0 blanking at second singles, and Sarah Prag clinched the win with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at third singles. Foxboro will host the winner of #4 seed Martha’s Vineyard and #5 seed Medfield on Thursday.

Senior Alyjah Marshall led the charge for the Tigers, going 2-for-2 at the plate with a walk, smacking a pair of triples and driving in five runs. Sophomore Braden Sullivan added a hit and two RBI in the win. Senior Conor Quinlan earned the win on the mound, allowing just one hit without issuing a walk in four scoreless innings of work, striking out two. Taunton will host #10 seed Walpole on Monday at 4:00.

#21 Weymouth, 2 @ #12 Mansfield, 8 – Final – Mansfield scored in four straight innings punctuated by a big sixth inning to earn a win at home over visiting Weymouth. The Hornets pushed across two runs in the third, one run in each the fourth and fifth innings, and put the game away with a four-run sixth inning. Junior Anthony Sacchetti tossed six scoreless innings before the Weymouth offense got going. Sacchetti (6.1 IP) earned the win, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks, striking out seven. Offensively, sophomore Conner Zukowski had two of the Hornets’ eight hits, including a triple, and drove in four runs to lead the way. Luke Urban (run), Liam Anastasia (run), and Jared Fraone (double, two runs) all had a hit and an RBI in the win. Mansfield will travel to #5 seed Wellesley on Monday at 4:00.

#22 Attleboro, 11 @ #11 Hingham, 5 – Final – Attleboro outscored Hingham 7-0 over the final three innings to earn an upset win over the Harbormen on the road. Hingham held a 5-4 lead going into the fifth but the Bombardiers pushed across four runs to take an 8-5 lead and then put the game away with three more runs in the seventh. Sophomore Danny Johnson had a huge day at the plate for Attleboro, going 5-for-5 and recorded six RBI. He also came in and pitched a scoreless seventh inning to secure the win. Dillon James came on in relief to get the win, allowing two hits with six strikeouts in 4.2 innings of work. Matt McMahon (3-for-4) and Evan Houle each clubbed a pair of doubles while senior Bailey Camacho had a pair of hits. Attleboro will travel to #6 seed Braintree on Monday night at 7:00.

D2 South
#17 Sharon, 5 @ #16 Somerset-Berkley, 8 – Final

D3 South
#18 Foxboro, 4 @ #15 Sandwich, 6 – Final – Foxboro had the tying run on base and the go-ahead batter at the plate in the top of the seventh inning but a bad bounce closed the door on the Warriors’ season. Sandwich scored once in each the second and third innings to stake a 2-0 lead but Foxboro responded with a run in the fourth and a run in the fifth to tie the game. Sandwich came back with four runs in the sixth to take the lead; Foxboro pushed across two in the top of the seventh and had runners on the corners but a ground ball hit one of the base runners and the Knights got the final out. Junior Mike LaVita went 3-for-3 at the dish with a run scored while sophomore Ryan LeClair (RBI, run) and senior Cam Prescott (two doubles, RBI) each had a pair of hits in the win. Mike O’Toole and Jack Watts both knocked in a run as well.

D1 South
#27 Durfee, 8 @ #6 North Attleboro, 9 – Final (10 Inn.) – Ally Levine’s 10th inning single brought in Belle Clarkin with the game-winning run, as North avoided the upset and advanced to the next round. Clarkin started the two-out rally in the 10th with a single. She advanced to second on a Zoey McDonough base hit and got to third after Shaelyn Burns walk. Levine provided the big moment walking it off with an RBI-single. Mandi Hanewich had a big day at the plate for North, recording three hits, including a two-run homer. Emily Nardelli reached base four times (three walks and a hit), Grace Simmons had a hit and two walks, Julia Forman had a double and a run scored, and Emma Bailey was on base twice. McDonough threw all 10 innings and struck out 16 to get the win. North will host #11 seed Bridgewater-Raynham on Monday morning.

#19 Whitman-Hanson, 2 @ #14 Attleboro, 15 – Final

#17 Marshfield, 7 @ #16 Stoughton, 10 – Final – Down to their final six outs, Stoughton rallied to erase a five-run deficit and stun visiting Marshfield. The Rams held a 7-2 advantage going into the bottom of the sixth but Stoughton put together eight hits to score eight runs, knocking off Marshfield in the playoff opener for both squads. Senior Nicole Baker, who tossed a complete game, helped her own cause by going 3-for-3 at the plate with an RBI. Junior Sydney Menz added three hits as well, including a double and a triple, with two RBI, Julia Driscoll plated two runs with a base hit, Melody Casna added an RBI double, and Kate Bulger chipped in with a pair of hits. Alyssa Edwards, Julie Powers and Sarah McGrath all had a single in Stoughton’s big sixth inning. Stoughton will travel to #1 seed Taunton on Monday at 6:30.

#18 Mansfield, 10 @ #15 Needham, 0 – Final – Mansfield scored early to get in front and then put the game away with seven runs over the final two innings to secure the win at Needham in the D1 South preliminary round. The Hornets grabbed three runs in the first. Callie Lake led off with a single, Liv Madeira walked, and Jill Koppy singled to load the bases. Casey Moussette provided what turned out to be the game-winning hit with a single that plated two. Nicole Kobasa added a single to make it 3-0. Third baseman Olivia DeTrolio came through with a big defensive play in the fourth, erasing a lead-off triple by getting the lead runner on a fielder’s choice. Mansfield broke the game open with a four-run sixth. Molly Kucharski started the rally with a walk, followed by singles from Ashlyn Conley and Kobasa. Alanna Conley drive in a pair and the Madeira followed with a two-run single of her own. The Hornets tacked on three more in the seventh with four hits and a walk all with two outs. Mansfield will face another road trip to a Bay State Conference opponent when it travels to #2 seed Natick on Monday.

#22 Canton, 5 @ #11 Cardinal Spellman, 4 – Final – Canton was able to hold on to pull the upset on the road against Spellman and advance in the D2 South sectional. Liz Bickett sparked the offense with a big two-run homer in the third inning. Sarah Kelly went 2-for-3 and scored two runs and Steph Trendell also drove in a pair of the Bulldogs. Sophia Santos went the distance and struck out seven to pick up the win. Canton will travel to face #6 seed Plymouth South on Monday afternoon.

#16 North Quincy, 1 @ #1 Canton, 16 – Final – Top-seeded Canton opened its playoff run in style, earning a big win over North Quincy. The Bulldogs built an early 3-0 lead, extended it to 8-0 by halftime and carried a 15-0 advantage into the fourth quarter. Junior Sam Carlino paced the offense with seven goals and four assists and senior Michael Mondillo added a pair of goes in the win. Freshman Brendan Tourgee won 12 face offs, scoring twice with one assist while classmate Pat Drury scored twice and had three helpers. Canton will host #8 seed Nauset on Monday at 5:00.

Junior Deyan Kassev and freshman Matthew Lally emerged with a 6-0, 6-2 win at first doubles while the team of sophomore Mitch Weiss and freshman Alex Budovalcev didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at second doubles. Sharon will host #11 Plymouth North on Monday at Sharon Middle School at a time to be announced.

Franklin, 3 @ Attleboro, 1 – Final – Franklin scored once in the first and tacked on two more in the second and that was enough for its pitching staff as the Panthers picked up a 3-1 win on the road, clinching the Kelley-Rex division title for the second straight season. Senior Jake Fitzgibbons drove in a run to put the visitors up 1-0 in the top of the first and then junior Chris Goode and senior Nate Cooke each singled in a run in the second to make it 3-0. Attleboro scored in the bottom of the fifth, when Bailey Camacho (2-for-3) doubled and courtesy runner Hayden Hegarty scored on a single from sophomore Dillon James. Franklin sophomore Alfred Mucciarone earned the win with one run allowed on five hits and one walk, striking out four in five innings. Ethan Voelmicke threw 1.1 innings of scoreless relief with four strikeouts while James Kuczmiec got the save, striking out one in 0.2 innings. Dillon came on in relief for the Bombardiers and tossed five shutout innings, allowing three hits and three walks with three strikeouts.

Foxboro, 1 @ Canton, 4 – Final – Canton scored a pair of runs in back-to-back innings and junior Andrew Middleton struck out 11 as the Bulldogs claimed a win at home. After three scoreless innings, Canton pushed across two runs in each the fourth and fifth innings with four players collecting an RBI. Middleton (2-for-3), Steven Burbank, Nico Bonnano, and Sawyer Julier-Albert each drove in a run while sophomore Matt Chafin scored twice. Middleton allowed one run on one hit and four walks in six innings of work. Foxboro’s Ryan LeClair drove in a run in the sixth inning while Sean O’Leary tossed a complete game, allowing four runs (one earned) on six hits and one walk, striking out six.

Milford, 3 @ Mansfield, 5 – Final – Sophomore Conner Zukowski cleared the bases with a three-run double to highlight a four-run fourth inning as Mansfield defended home field against visiting Milford. The Hawks took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third but the Hornets responded with four runs in the bottom of the fourth. Milford tacked on another run in the fifth to cut the deficit to two but Mansfield added the run back in the bottom half. Liam Anastasia added had two hits, an RBI, and a run scored for the hosts. Anthony Sacchetti earned the win on the mount with 6.1 innings of work, allowing three runs (one earned) on eight hits and two walks, recording seven strikeouts. Milford’s Carter Scudo went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI.

Oliver Ames, 9 @ Stoughton, 6 – Final – With it’s division title hopes hanging in the balance, Oliver Ames turned a three-run deficit into a three-run advantage between the final two innings, knocking off the Black Knights and clinching a share of the Davenport division title alongside North Attleboro. OA knotted the game at three apiece in the top of the fifth but Stoughton pushed across three runs in the fifth for a 6-3 lead with OA down to its last six outs. In the top of the sixth, Ryan McKenney, Nate Fulford, and Derek Milliken (two RBI) all singled, the latter bringing in two runs, and Jack Muir plated the tying run to make it 6-6. An inning later, Fulford smacked a two-run triple and Max Tower brought Fulford in with a base hit and OA took a 9-6 lead after 5.5 innings. Kosta Spiliakos earned the win in relief, tossing three innings with one run (unearned) allowed on three hits, striking out one. Nick Clark started for OA, striking out seven with four hits and four walks issued. Stoughton’s Brandon Mantilla-Mercado (two runs) and Jonah Ly each had two hits and two RBI.

Milford, 6 @ Mansfield, 10 – Final – Mansfield scored nine times in the opening two innings to earn the sweep of Milford and close out the season at .500. The Hornets scored five times in the first to seemingly grab control of the game. Callie Lake got it started with a walk and stolen base and moved to third on a single by Jill Koppy. A sac fly scored the first run and hits from Ashlyn (2-for-4, two RBI) and Alanna Conley and Abby DeCoste and a walk by Nicole Kobasa brought in the other four. Milford answered right back, putting up a five-spot of its own in the top of the second to tie the game. Mansfield took the lead for good with four runs in the bottom half. Lake drew another leadoff walk and stole second for the second straight inning. With two outs, Ashlyn Conley double, and Kobasa and Alanna Conley (3-for-3, three RBI) each singled to put the Hornets in front. Alanna Conley double and DeCoste (2-for-3, three RBI) tripled to tack on a 10th run in the fifth. Elise Fauerbach went 4-for-4 for Milford, driving in a pair of runs while Camille Bonina collected three hits, including a triple, with three RBI.

Attleboro, 4 @ Franklin, 12 – Final – Franklin scored runs in four of the seven innings, exploding for a game-changing six runs in the fourth inning to earn an upset win over visiting Attleboro. The visitors struck first in the top of the first but the Panthers took the lead for good with three runs in the bottom of the first. Franklin added one more in the third and then six more in the fourth to grab a 10-1 lead. Attleboro rallied for three runs in the fifth inning but Franklin put the game away with two more runs in the sixth inning. Freshman Carly Johnson-Pellegri had a big day at the dish, smashing a three-run home run in the fourth inning along with an RBI in the third (fielder’s choice) and the sixth (double). Senior Mary Collins added two hits (including a triple) and two runs, senior Gabby Colace had three hits (including a double) and scored two runs), junior Julia White scored twice and had two singles, and junior Aislinn Lavery used her speed for three singles, scoring twice. Georgia Harvey also had a triple for Franklin while Kelly Moussa had a strong day defensively in right field. For Attleboro, Hailey Perry scored twice and had a triple and both Meghan Gordon and Gabby Bosh had a hit and scored a run.

Canton, 5 @ Foxboro, 6 – Final (10 Inn.) – Eighth grader Emma Callahan not only went the distance in the circle but also drove in Peyton Feldman with a double in the bottom of the 10th to pick up the win for the Warriors. Gillian Gordon also pitched a complete game, striking out three and delivering a key hit in the fourth inning. Liz Bickett powered the Bulldogs offensively, going 4-for-5 with three RBI, and Olivia Mackwell went 3-for-5 with a pair of RBI. Laura Valkanas made several important plays for Canton in extra innings.

North Attleboro, 12 @ Sharon, 0 – Final – Kelly Colleran and Zoey McDonough combined to strikeout 12 and allowed only one hit in the shutout. Belle Clarkin had three hits and four RBI and Colleran had three hits, three runs scored, and a pair of RBI. Ally Levine and Emma Bailey chipped in with two hits apiece. Mandi Hanewich scored three times and Emily Nardelli crossed the plate twice.




Boys Lacrosse
Oliver Ames, 13 @ Stoughton, 5 – Final – Oliver Ames senior Remi Creighton and junior Wyatt Fritchman each accounted for eight points as the Tigers went on the road and earned a victor over Stoughton. Both Creighton and Fritchman scored four goals and added four assists in the while while sophomore Ben Reardon netted a hat trick. Sophomore Jake Manthous won 14 faceoffs for OA while sophomore Noah Isleib made nine saves in net.

Girls Lacrosse
Canton, 5 @ Oliver Ames, 11 – Final – Hailey Bourne and Emma Sharkansky were the catalysts for the OA attack as the Tigers picked up a big victory on senior night. Ashley Almeida scored once in her first start of the season, both Emma Pereira and Catherine O’Donnell played well on the draw for OA, and seniors Emilee Nuss, Lili Lozano, Ella Isleib and Emma O’Donnell played tough defense against a good Canton attack.




Boys Tennis
Attleboro, 0 @ Franklin, 5 – Final – Franklin dropped a total of three games as it rolled to a big win over visiting Attleboro. Senior Liam Marr notched a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles while Drew Mahoney won by the same score at third singles for the Panthers. Vayshnav Malhotra recorded a 6-0, 6-1 win at second doubles and the tream of junior Thomas Broyles and freshman Jay Gorgas took care of business by the same scoreline at second doubles. Senior Anish Gundimeda and junior Sameen Shaik dropped a game in the first set but won six straight in the second set for a 6-1, 6-0 victory at first doubles.

Canton, 5 @ Foxboro, 0 – Final – Canton’s Minh Duong overcame a one-set deficit to take his match in a third-set 10-point tiebreaker to help the Bulldogs complete a 5-0 sweep over Foxboro. Duong dropped his first set 1-6 but rallied to take the second set 6-4 and emerged victorious with a 10-7 win in the tiebreaker. Suraj Ramanathan was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at first singles while freshman Max Kupferman notched a 6-3, 6-2 win at second singles. The team of Ethan Nguyen and Jalen Townsend prevailed 7-5, 6-2 in a hard fought match at first doubles while Davis Lamb and Elias Jabbour teamed up to secure a 6-3, 6-2 victory at second doubles for Canton.

Oliver Ames, 1 @ Stoughton, 4 – Final – Stoughton won twice in singles play and twice more in doubles action to pick up a 4-1 decision over visiting Oliver Ames. Senior Waseem Sablon didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles while sophomore Rayan Sablon notched a 6-1, 6-2 victory at second singles. The team of Evan Khang and Jonah Hochberg were 6-3, 6-3 winners at first doubles while Ben Dias teamed up with Nikhil Khond for a 6-2, 7-5 decision at second doubles. Oliver Ames freshman Nick Westerbeke earned a 6-2, 6-4 win at third singles.

Franklin, 2 @ Attleboro, 3 – Final – Attleboro swept doubles action and won at first singles to secure a 3-2 win at home over visiting Franklin. Junior Ella Lynch-Bartek earned a 6-3, 6-0 win at first singles for the Bombardiers, senior Rachel Rainey and junior Saharla Yusuf emerged with a 7-6 (6), 6-3 win at first doubles, and the team of freshmen Maddie Fuscaldo and Kyra Johnson rolled to a 6-3, 6-1 win at second doubles to give Attleboro the win. Franklin junior Vedika Vinayak prevailed in a marathon match at second singles, taking a 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (6) win while classmate Sarah Schiavo earned a 6-2, 6-3 win at third singles.

Foxboro, 5 @ Canton, 0 – Final – Foxboro freshman Athena Li dropped a set for the first time all season but rallied to win two straight to get the win and stay undefeated, helping Foxboro complete a sweep of Canton. Canton’s Rachel Kupferman grabbed the lead with a 6-2 win in the first set but Li battled back to take the second set 6-4 and then got the win with a 6-0 third set. Pam Nelson (second singles) and Sarah Prag (third singles) each won 6-0, 6-0 for the Warriors. Maggie McAuliffe and Abby Costa earned a 6-4, 6-0 win at first doubles while Makayla Peck teamed up with Emily Stow for a 7-6 (3), 6-4 victory at second doubles.

Stoughton, 3 @ Oliver Ames, 2 – Final – Stoughton rallied from one-set deficits at both first and second singles and grabbed another win in doubles play to earn a close victory over Oliver Ames. All five matches were competitive with OA winning at third singles (Mia Corradini, 6-3, 6-2) and first doubles (Caroline Peper and Morgan Vasiliou, 6-0, 6-2). At first singles, Ally Lada fell behind 4-6 but rallied for a 6-0 win in the second set and a 6-4 victory in the third set. Lena Allie also dropped the first set, 4-6, but came back to win 6-4 in the second and 6-3 in the third for a win for the Black Knights. The team of Nadia Prokupiuk and Emilia Lada prevailed with a hard-fought 7-6 (2), 6-3 win at second doubles.

James Collins (113, 4:37), Ben Mandeville (138, 0:48), Sazlily St. Marc (145, 5:11), Jackson Mandeville (170, 1:04), and Logan Frank (195, 4:30) all won by pin for the host Tigers while Brandon Mendes (126, 4-0), Christian Balmain (160, 6-3), and Peter Ye (220, 4-3) each won by decision. Oliver Ames got wins from Kyle Hardie (120, 10-4), Stavros Constantinou (132, 10-6), Deric Lipski (152, 1:05), Anthony Hoffman (182, 9-0), and Jaden Hinton (285, 1:51).

Taunton, 2 @ Greater New Bedford, 3 – Final – For the third time in the past week, Taunton won the fourth-set to force a fifth but for the first time all season, the Tigers suffered a loss, 3-2 (25-27, 25-22, 19-25, 28-26, 13-15). Tyler Stewart had 27 kills, seven blocks, and 19 digs, Mattia Casagrande added nine kills and 16 digs, Jakob Thorpe finished with seven kills 10 digs, and three aces, and Dolan Campbell had eight kills and four blocks. Travis Nunes anchored the Taunton serve receive and finished with 15 digs and Daniel Medina had 33 assists.

Richardson didn’t allow an earned run in a complete game effort, striking out seven to get the win. Offensively, Will Whiteside went 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI and Ryan McKenney added a hit and an RBI.

Canton, 4 @ Mansfield, 1 – Final (8 Inn.) – Canton erased a one-run deficit in the top of the sixth and then tacked on three runs in the top of the eighth to earn a win in extra innings on the road. The Bulldogs totaled eight hits on the day with Cam Sanchez (run) chipping in with two and six others registering one. Sawyer Julier-Albert drove in a pair of runs and scored once while Matt Chafin and Andrew Middleton each had one RBI. Zach Peters allowed just one unearned run on two hits and one walk with a pair of strikeouts in five innings of work. Matt Quan, Andrew Butler, and Nico Bonanno each tossed a scoreless inning in relief.

Foxboro, 6 @ Milford, 12 – Final – Milford took advantage of eight hits and nine walks to score 12 runs and get a win at home over visiting Foxboro. Mario Lee drove in three runs for the Hawks while Evan Cornelius (run) and Grant Scudo (two hits, run) each had two RBI in the win. Carter Scudo added a pair of hits, a pair of runs, and one RBI for Milford, who scored six runs in the second inning to take a 7-2 lead and pulled away for good with four runs in the sixth. Ryan LeClair went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run for Foxboro while Sean O’Leary added three hits and an RBI.

Sharon, 1 @ Franklin, 4 – Final – Franklin erased an early one-run deficit, scoring once in each the second and third with two big insurance runs coming in the fourth inning. Ethan Voellmicke tossed 4.1 innings of shutout ball with just two hits allowed, striking out nine to get the win. James Kuczmiec came in to get the save with 1.1 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit with a pair of strikeouts. Offensively, CJ Jette had a pair of hits including a double, and drove in one run, Marcus Baker slapped a pair of hits, Jake Fitzgibbons drove in a run, and Jack Marino had a hit, a walk, and scored a run.

North Attleboro, 2 @ Taunton, 9 – Final – Taunton scored once in each of the first four innings, tacked on two more in the fifth, and pulled away for good with three runs in the sixth to knock off visiting North Attleboro. Ty Cali (run, RBI) and Colby DeCouta (run, RBI) each had two hits for the Tigers while Danny MacDougall had four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI in the win. Matthew Ferrara got the win on the mound with two runs allowed on 10 hits and one walk, striking out two in 6.2 innings of work.

Stoughton, 2 @ King Philip, 9 – Final – Junior Shawn Lagere and senior Conor Cooke hit back-to-back home runs in the first inning and King Philip never trailed in a win over Stoughton. Stoughton cut the deficit in half with a run in the top of the third but KP answered with four runs in the fourth and three more in the fifth inning. Cooke finished with three runs and a pair of stolen bases while Lagere had two stolen bases and two runs.

Attleboro, 11 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – Final – Lindsey Perry picked up her fourth win of the season, tossing a one-hit shutout on the road to lead the Bombardiers. Perry carried a no-hitter in the final inning before OA registered its first hit. Perry struck out seven and issued just one walk in the win. Attleboro played solid defense throughout and offensively the Bombardiers had 17 hits as a team with Hailey Perry accounting for three hits and Brenna Morse and Meghan Gordon each with two. Taylor Lake had the hit for OA while Katie Melendy allowed five earned in a complete game effort.

Milford, 0 @ Foxboro, 10 – Final

Franklin, 13 @ Sharon, 2 – Final – Franklin found its offense late in the game, pulling away to pick up its fourth win of the season. The Eagles kept it close early, trailing by just four after four full. Sophomore pitcher Ally Foulsham had four strikeouts for Sharon.

Mansfield, 8 @ Canton, 7 – Final – Mansfield jumped out to an early need, Canton rallied to jump in front in the fifth inning, but the Hornets were able to come back and scored two runs in the top of the seventh to secure the win. After taking a 1-0 lead in the second, Mansfield scored four times in the third. Jill Koppy got it started with a lead off single, followed by hits from Ashlyn Conley, Alanna Conley, and Abby DeCoste. The Bulldogs answered back with four runs in the fourth and two more in the fifth to go up 6-5. Hits from Casey Moussette and Molly Kucharski led to the tying run for the Hornets in the sixth. In the seventh, DeCoste, Callie Lake, and Moussette each had hits to plate the game-winning runs. Canton got one back in the bottom of the seventh but the Hornets held on. Lake, Moussette, and Kucharski each finished with three hits for Mansfield, which had 17 as a team.

Taunton, 4 @ North Attleboro, 0 – Final – Taunton scored a pair of runs in each the second and seventh innings while Kelsey White was lights out in the circle as the Tigers passed their toughest test to date. White allowed just two hits and issued one walk while striking out 14 batters. McKenzie McAloon drove in two with a base hit in the top of the third to give the visitors the lead. Taunton tacked on two more insurance runs in the top of the seventh with Angie Lynch and Kylie Thorpe coming in to score their second runs of the game. North Attleboro sophomore Zoey McDonough had a strong showing in the circle with four runs allowed (three earned) on six hits and four walks, striking out five.

King Philip, 10 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – King Philip set the tone early with three first inning runs and never looked back in a win on the road. The Warriors added four runs in the third and three more in the fourth. Sophomore Sarah Cullen belted out a team-high three hits (including a triple) along with three RBI and one run scored while Mia Bennett also drove in three runs on a pair of hits. Sophomore Charlotte Raymond (two RBI, two runs), freshman Ava Lanza (two runs), and freshman Maddie Paschke each had two hits in the win. Junior Emma Sheehan earned the win in the circle, allowing one run on three hits and one walk, striking out five in a complete game effort. Sydney Menz hit a triple for Stoughton while Nicole Baker and Julie Powers each hit a double.

Junior Kylash Ganesh picked up a 6-0, 6-3 win at first singles, junior Rapheal Vache earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at second singles, and freshman Nick Westerbeke prevailed 6-1, 6-1 at third singles to give the Tigers the win at home. Attleboro’s Alejandro Jimenez and Malachi Jefferson emerged with a 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 win at first doubles while the pairing of Kyle Neuendorf and Tyler Rocchio didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at second doubles.

Mansfield, 2 @ Canton, 3 – Final – By sweeping all three singles matches, Canton defended home court with a 3-2 decision over visiting Mansfield. Suraj Ramanathan earned a big win at first singles with a 6-1, 6-4 score, Max Kupferman added a 6-2, 6-2 win at second singles and Minh Duong prevailed 6-2, 7-5 at third singles. Mansfield won both doubles matches with Kai Schirmacher and Nikhil Lankipalle taking a 6-4, 6-2 win at first doubles while Adam Elsner and Jonah Fine won 6-4, 6-3 at second doubles.

Milford, 1 @ Foxboro, 4 – Final – Foxboro swept all three singles matches and added another point from doubles play in a 4-1 win over visiting Milford. Garrett Spillane was victorious 6-2, 6-1 at first singles, Justin Neale earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at second singles, and Jason Kandula walked away with a 6-0, 6-1 win at third singles. The team of Bo Canfield and Visruth Chavalam took care of business at first doubles with a 6-2, 6-4 win. Milford’s second doubles team of seniors Connor MacLeod and Mike Tersarotto secured a 7-5, 6-2 win.

Franklin, 3 @ Sharon, 2 – Final – Franklin’s Vayshnav Malhotra emerged from a three-hour marathon match at second singles with a three-set victory to give the Panthers a 3-2 decision over Sharon. Malhotra won the first set in a tiebreaker, dropped the second set, and then prevailed in a back-and-forth third set, the score finishing 7-6 (5), 4-6, 7-5. Liam Marr (6-2, 6-2) added a win at first singles while the team of Thomas Broyles and Jay Gorgas (7-5, 6-4) battled to a tight win at second doubles.

Taunton, 0 @ North Attleboro, 5 – Final – North Attleboro dropped just one total game in a clean sweep against visiting Taunton. Jonah Manso, Sam Gallager, and Will Folan all won in straight sets in singles action while both of North’s double teams — Connor Willis and Sayf Siddiq at first doubles and Brody Carter and Niteesh Saravanan at second doubles — won 6-0, 6-0.

King Philip, 3 @ Stoughton, 2 – Final – King Philip won both doubles matches in straight sets and junior Jon Cohen emerged with the deciding point for the Warriors in a win on the road. Cohen picked up a 6-3, 6-2 win at third singles to give the match to the visitors. The team of Diego Nieto and Jackson Hom dropped just one game in a 6-1, 6-0 win at first doubles while juniors Adam Gousie and Connor Connor Sachleben earned a 6-2, 7-6 (1) win at second doubles. Stoughton’s Waseem Sablon battled to a 3-6, 6-2, 10-4 win at first singles while Rayan Sablon secured a 6-3, 6-0 win at second singles.

Canton, 3 @ Mansfield, 2 – Final – Canton picked up a close win on the row, scoring points with a pair of singles wins and one from doubles action. Rachel Kupferman didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles, Laura Correal rallied for a 4-6, 7-6 (3), 6-2 win at second singles, and the first doubles pairing of Lily Hazam and Olivia Durham notched a 6-2, 6-1 win at first doubles. Seniors Trevor Flint took first in the 1 Mile (4:44.2), Ryan Rispoli won the 2 Mile (11:01.6), Stephen Saba added a first place finish in the javelin (118’6), and DaSean Peters-Wolfe clocked a new PR with a first place time of 22.8 in the 200M. Jake Wall qualified for nationals and broke his own school record with a leap of 23’2 in the long jump.

North Attleboro, 80 @ Canton, 56 – Final – For Canton, Tayla Mendez-DeGraw broke the school record in the 100M (12.5) and anchored the winning 4×400 team (52.0).

King Philip, 63 @ Mansfield, 73 – Final – Mansfield took first place in both relays and swept the javelin for key points in a close win over visiting King Philip. Caitlin Dumouchel won the javelin for the Hornets with a throw of 109’9″, Kelsey Hubler was second at 69’8″, and Aimee Cowles took third at 68’4″. In the 4×100 relay, Abbie Scott, Meghan Driscoll, Brooke Penney, and Anna Buckley teamed up to cross first in 51.1 while the Mansfield 4×400 relay team of Katie Miller, Norah Puleo, Caitlin Dumouchel, and Anna Darlington won that event in 4:11.6. Dumouchel picked up her third win with a first-place time of 67.2 in the 400M hurdles.

Attleboro, 4 @ Mansfield, 0 – Final – Dillon James went six innings, striking out four, and allowing just two hits to pick up his first career win and helping Attleboro split the home-and-home with Mansfield. Cam Foster pitched a scoreless seventh to close the game out. Owen Taber had a big game at the plate and in the field, scoring two runs, hitting a homer, starting two double plays, and making a leaping grab in the first. Jake Gorman provided the game-winning hit in the first inning when he blasted a two-run homer. Taber scored for a second time when he hit a solo homer in the third. Attleboro tacked on an insurance run in the sixth when Nate George walked and stole second and then scored on a Matt McMahon double. Luke Urban and Jared Fraone had the only hits for the Hornets. Aaron Blinn and Colby Geddis combined for four innings of relief, allowing one unearned run and striking out seven between them.

Stoughton, 3 @ Foxboro, 12 – Final – Foxboro scored three times in the third, added six runs in the fifth to take the lead for good, and added three more in the sixth to seal the win and keep the Warriors tied with OA at the top of the league standings. Sean Yoest went 3-for-4 with a walk and scored a pair of runs, Sean O’Leary went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, an RBI, and also scored twice, and Mike O’Toole was 3-for-4 with a run scored and drove in two. Mike LaVita added two hits, a double, and three RBI, as Foxboro had 16 hits and drew nine walks as a team. Cam Prescott went the distance, allowing one earned run and striking out eight. Kyle Doolin, Brandon Mantilla-Mercado, and Brad Franey each had two hits for the Black Knights.

Milford, 2 @ King Philip, 10 – Final – KP scored at least once in each of the first five innings, including three runs in each of the third and fifth innings to split the two-day series with Milford. Nick Viscusi, Conor Cooke, and Dan Nineve each had three hits and two RBI apiece for the Warriors, while Grayden Lawrence added a hit and drove in two. KP scored once in the bottom of the first when Rudy Gately’s sac fly plated Eli Reed. In the second, Reed came in again, this time on a single by Viscusi. Nineve drove in Gately with single in the third and then Lawrence brought in two with a single. Cooke had singles in the fourth and fifth, driving in runs with both, and Viscusi and Nineve each knocked in runs in the fifth as well. Gately was strong on the mound, pitching a complete game with 10 strikeouts to get KP the win.

Sharon, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 5 – Final – OA won its second game in two days to stay level with Foxboro at the top of the Davenport division standings. Matt Nigro grabbed the win with five innings of work, allowing one run and striking out a pair. Kosta Spiliakos closed it out with two scoreless innings of relief and the Tigers turned a 6-4-3 double play to end it. Derek Milliken and Will Whiteside both went 2-for-3. Milliken had a double, an RBI< a run scored, and stole a base, while Whiteside had two steals, a run scored, and an outfield assist when his throw from center cut down a runner at the plate. Jadon Ricci and Nate Carpentier both had a hit and RBI and Jack Morley celebrated his birthday by plating one run with a sac fly and played good defense at second.

Softball
Mansfield, 7 @ Attleboro, 1 – Final – After giving up 24 hits to Attleboro on Monday, Mansfield bounced right back, holding the Bombardiers to just four hits and splitting the season series. Attleboro grabbed the lead in the bottom of the fifth, but the Hornets scored twice in the sixth to take the lead and then added a five-run rally in the seventh to seal the win. Callie Lake singled and scored on a sacrifice by Olivia Medeira that turned into an error. Madeira scored what turned out to be the game-winning run on a fly ball to center. In the seventh, Alanna Conley, Nicole Kobasa, and Abby DeCoste singled to load the bases and Mansfield took advantage of two walks, a passed ball, a slow roller to first, and a single by Molly Kucharski to score five times. Kucharski went 3-for-4 on the day and Kobasa came up with a pair of nice catches in the sixth inning to help keep Attleboro off the board.

Foxboro @ Stoughton, 4:00

Franklin, 0 @ Taunton, 14 – Final (5 Inn.) – Kelsey White continued to dominate in the circle, striking out 11 batters and allowing just one hit over five innings. It was the eighth shutout in nine games this season for the Tigers, who also had seven homers and 17 hits as a team. Hanna Aldrich went 3-for-3 and hit two homers (and a double), driving in three runs and scoring three times. McKenzie McAloon also hit a pair of solo homers and White helped her own cause with two homers (for the second straight day) and two RBI. Tayah DaCosta had the seventh homer, going 3-for-3 and scoring a pair of runs. Carly Johnson-Pellegri had the lone hit of the day for the Panthers.

King Philip, 17 @ Milford, 3 – Final – KP, the league’s leading offense, pounded out 17 hits and scored 17 runs for a ninth straight win to start the season. Paige Berdos went 3-for-5 with a walk, scored three runs, and drove in one from the leadoff spot and Mia Bennett was 3-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored and a pair of RBI. Anna Bradley was 2-for-3 with two walks and scored three runs from the eight-hole. Freshman Jordan Bennett picked up the win in the circle, allowing one earned run on four hits, and striking out 13. Elise Fauerbach went 1-for-3 and had an RBI for the Hawks, who also got hits from Sarah Wengel, Carly Fereira, and Camille Bonina.

Oliver Ames, 1 @ Sharon, 4 – Final – Trinity Payne struck out five and allowed five hits in a complete game victory that earned a split of the season series with OA. Payne also scored once for the Eagles, while Sneha Kini came in to score twice and Ciara McAuliffe scored an important insurance run. Sharon coach Heather Poliferno called it an overall great performance at the plate and in the field!” Emma Varella pitched three innings, striking out three, and Katie Melendy closed the game with three innings of relief and struck out six for the Tigers. Lexi Galsband and Kalei Clark both went 2-for-3 at the plate and Galsband had OA’s lone run.




Boys Tennis
Mansfield, 5 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final – Mansfield took all five matches in a sweep on the road at Attleboro, also sweeping the season series with the Bombardiers. Kailash Elumelai (first singles) and Dheeraj Valluru (second singles) each rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 win while Nikhil Nain picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win to round out singles action. In doubles play, the team of Pratham Tallam and Diwakar Sandhu emerged with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 win at first doubles while Sashu Panaganti and Justin Weiner battled to a 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 win at second doubles.

Foxboro, 2 @ Stoughton, 3 – Final – Just one day after dropping a close match on the road to Foxboro, Stoughton flipped the script and earned a 3-2 decision over the Warriors on their new courts. Waseem Sablon continued to dominate at first singles for the Black Knights, this time with a 6-0, 6-1 decision. Stoughton then swept doubles action to get the win; sophomores Jake Berry and Evan Khang prevailed 6-3, 7-6 (7-2) at first doubles while the pairing of sophomores Murtaza Khalil and Ben Dias earned a 6-2, 6-3 win at second doubles. For Foxboro, Justin Neale won 6-1, 6-4 at second singles and Bo Canfield earned a 6-3, 6-4 win at third singles.

Franklin, 5 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Franklin swept its match with Taunton to stay perfect on the season and stay tied with Mansfield at the top of the Kelley-Rex division. Liam Marr, Vayshnay Malhotra, and Drew Mahoney didn’t drop a game between them to earn straight set wins at the singles. Tyler Fitzpatrick and Tim O’Keefe won 6-3, 6-0 at first singles and Ryan Essam and Ahan Shetty had a clean sweep (6-0, 6-0) at second doubles. Franklin will face the Hornets next week.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Sharon, 5 – Final – Sharon won all but four games to sweep OA for the second day in a row and remain unbeaten on the season and stay one up in the loss column on second-place North Attleboro in the Davenport title race. Mehul (6-0, 6-0) and Ruemon Bhattacharyya (6-1, 6-1) won at first and second singles and Max Chen (6-0, 6-0) made it a sweep with a win at third singles. Wenhao Yang and Savir Basil won 6-1, 6-0 at first doubles and Rowan Gran and Hyojai Park won 6-0, 6-0 at second doubles.

King Philip, 5 @ Milford, 0 – Final – King Philip earned a series sweep against the Hawks after winning all five matches on the road. Senior Nick Putney didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles, junior Brady Jannell added a 7-5, 6-1 win at second singles, and junior Jon Cohen was victorious 6-1, 6-0 at third singles for KP. The first doubles team of sophomore Jackson Hom and junior Diego Neto won 6-4, 6-1 while the pairing of juniors Connor Sachleben and Adam Gousie secured a 6-3, 6-2 win at second doubles.

Attleboro, 2 @ Mansfield, 3 – Final– Mansfield earned wins at second and third singles and first doubles to earn its second victory over Attleboro in two days. Aryanna Khosravani went to a third set with Lauren Anthony at second singles before pulling out a 6-3, 3-6, 6-0 win. Kate Martin won in straight sets (6-0, 6-3) at third singles and the team of Sarah Harrington and Avdi Sameer came through with a 6-2, 0-6, 6-4 victory over Attleboro’s team of Tina Lam and Saharla Yusuf, sealing the win. Ella Lynch-Bartek won in straight sets (6-3, 6-2) at first singles and freshmen Maddie Fulscado and Kyra Johnson won 6-4, 6-3 to get points for the Bombardiers.

Stoughton, 1 @ Foxboro, 4 – Final – Click here for a photo gallery of this match – Foxboro continued to roll in singles action with all three players winning in straight sets and the Warriors added another point in doubles play this time around in another win over Stoughton. Athena Li, Pam Nelson, and Sarah Prag all secured 6-0, 6-0 wins for the Warriors while the team of Maggie McAuliffe and Abby Costa picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win at first doubles. Stoughton’s second doubles team of Nadia Prokopiuk and Emilia Lada picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win.

Taunton, 1 @ Franklin, 4 – Final – The Panthers swept the singles and won at second doubles to bounce back from Monday’s loss, split the series with Taunton, and move back to .500 in league play. Freshman Hailey Morin won 6-4, 6-3 at first singles and juniors Vedika Vinayak (6-1, 6-4) and Sarah Schiavo (6-1, 6-3) also won in straight sets. Taunton’s doubles team of Brooke Belle and Sam Parrett won 6-3, 6-3, but Franklin’s Shriya Rajesh and Amulya Jayam won 6-1, 7-6 at second doubles to get a fourth point.

Milford, 0 @ King Philip, 5 – Final

Sharon, 3 @ Oliver Ames, 2 – Final – Sharon won at second and third singles and second doubles to earn the sweep of Oliver Ames. Allie Aguilar earned the straight sets (6-1, 6-1) win at second singles and Hannah Faberman won 6-1, 6-2 at third singles to put Sharon on the brink and Sophia Oh and Ritu Sreeram clinched the win with a 6-1, 6-1 win at second doubles. Kate McCormick made history for the Tigers at first singles, becoming the first Tiger to win at first singles against Sharon in more than a decade. After winning only five games in Monday’s match with Navya Shulka, McCormick won in straight sets (6-2, 6-4). OA coach Danielle Erickson said, “She truly left it all on the court and played a match to remember.” OA’s second point came from the first doubles team of Caroline Peper and Morgan Vasiliou, who won 7-5, 6-2.

Attleboro, 82 @ Taunton, 53 – Final – Kamsi Igbobi had three first-place finishes to lead the Bombardiers to their first dual meet win of the season. Igbobi took first in the 100 meters (13.4), the 100-meter hurdles (18.2), and the shot put with a throw of 34-1. Madison Ellis also had a strong overall meet with three second-place finishes (mile, two-mile, and high jump), and Angela Cooney took third in the 100-meter hurdles and 2-mile in her first meet back after an injury. Eleanor Graber ran the 400-meter hurdles for the first time and took first in a time of 1:34.3 and Kelly Neuendorf qualified for sectionals with PR of 11:52 to win the 2-mile. Dana Blouin also had a PR (5:33.2) to take first in the mile.

Taunton, 40 @ Mansfield, 37 – Final – Heavyweight Peter Ye clinched a win for Taunton in the final match, pinning his opponent to turn a three-point deficit into a three-point win in a back-and-forth dual meet. Michale Leskoski, James Collins, Ryan Jones, Ben Mandeville, Christian Balmain, and Jackson Mandeville also won their matches for the Tigers.

Mansfield, 3 @ Attleboro, 2 – Final – Attleboro rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh to bring the go-ahead run to the plate but the Hornets got the final out to secure the 3-2 win. Mansfield took a 2-0 lead with two runs in the top of the fifth and then tacked on what turned out to be the game-winning run in the top of the seventh, taking advantage of a pair of Bombardier errors. Jack Colby walked to open the seventh and advanced to third on a throwing error. Two batters later, an infield error allowed Colby to come home to make it 3-0. Colby was one of five Hornets with a hit; Luke Urban had a hit, a walk, an RBI, and a run scored for Mansfield. Anthony Sacchetti earned the win on the mound with a complete game effort. Sacchetti limited the hosts to two runs on one talk and five hits while striking out 12. Ben Hochwarter smacked a two-run triple in the seventh for Attleboro.

North Attleboro, 3 @ Canton, 1 – Final – Senior Dennis Colleran and the Rocketeers prevailed victorious in battle that featured two of the top pitchers in the area, earning a key division win on the road. Colleran tossed a complete game with just three hits along, striking out 13 to get the win. Canton junior Andrew Middleton also had a strong showing with just two earned runs allowed on two hits in 6.1 innings of work, also racking up 12 strikeouts. North struck first on an RBI single from Jared Penta in the third inning but the Bulldogs leveled the score in the bottom half on an RBI from Steven Burbank. North sophomore Aidan Conrad brought Tyler Bannon (walk, two stolen bases) in on a squeeze in the top of the sixth and Penta followed with a sacrifice fly to add an insurance run.

Foxboro, 5 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – Foxboro senior Dylan Quinn had his best start of the season, tossing a complete game shutout on the road to lead the Warriors to an important division win. Quinn allowed just two hits and issued just two walks while striking out 11 Stoughton batters. Offensively, Foxboro plated a pair of runs in each the first and fourth, and a single run in the second inning. Tom Marcucella (RBI, run) and Sean O’Leary (two RBI) each had a pair of hits to pace the Foxboro offense and sophomore Ryan LeClair recorded two RBI in the win.

Franklin, 6 @ Taunton, 4 – Final – In one of their toughest tests to date, Franklin emerged with a 6-4 win on the road over division rival Taunton. Sophomore Alfred Mucciarone earned the win with three runs allowed on six hits and one walk, striking out three in four innings. Junior Ethan Voellmicke was strong in relief with one run allowed on three hits in three innings of work. Jack Marino had a double and drove in a pair of run for the Panthers, Ben Jarosz added a hit, a walk, a run, and an RBI, and Nate Cooke had three hits on the day, driving in one and scoring once. Ryan MacDougall and Danny MacDougall (RBI) each had two hits, including a double each, while Dawson Bryce plated a pair of runs on two hits.

King Philip, 3 @ Milford, 8 – Final – Milford took care of business at home, securing an 8-3 win over visiting King Philip. Mario Lee earned the win on the mound, striking out five in five innings of work.

Sharon, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 11 – Final (5 Inn.) – Oliver Ames put together its most complete performance of the season, getting it done both offensively and on the mound in a win over Sharon. Nick Clark allowed one unearned run on two hits and one walk, striking out 10 to get the win in five innings. Jake Waxman went 3-for-3 on the day with six total bas, driving in three runs to pace the offense. Jadon Ricci added two hits and four RBI and Joe Cicchetti, who made some great plays defensively at first, added three hits, including a triple, and three RBI.

Softball
Attleboro, 19 @ Mansfield, 4 – Final (5 Inn.) – Attleboro put together an impressive offensive display to earn the division win. The Bombardiers belted out 24 hits, scoring in every inning to get the win on the road. Riley Camacho and Lindsey Perry highlighted the big offensive day with four hits apiece while Haley Perry, Lora Woyton, and Kayla Goldrick each recorded three hits. Lindsey Perry earned the win in the circle with four strikeouts. Mansfield recorded seven hits in the loss. Callie Lake, Jill Koppy, Molly Kucharski, Ashlyn Conley, Alanna Conley, Nicole Kobasa, and Abby DeCoste each had hits for the Hornets.

Stoughton, 7 @ Foxboro, 14 – Final – For Stoughton, Melody Casna and Kerry Driscoll each connected on a home run but Foxboro was able to defend its home field behind an offensive outburst. Casna went 3-for-4 overall, adding a pair of doubles to go with the home run. Driscoll smashed a two-run blast while Kate Bulger and Nicole Baker each had a pair of base hits for the Black Knights.

Taunton, 12 @ Franklin, 0 – Final (6 Inn.) – Holding a 6-0 lead on the road through the first innings, Taunton doubled its offensive output in the sixth inning to finish the game off. The Tigers had 12 hits as a team as senior Kelsey White went 4-for-4, hitting a pair of home runs to finish with three RBI and two runs scored. Hannah Aldrich (three RBI, three runs) also hit a home run for the Tigers, and McKenzie McAloon (run) and Skylar Rheaume add drove in a pair of runs. In the circle, freshman Sam Lincoln tossed a one-hitter, stirking out 10 with two walks for the win.

Milford, 1 @ King Philip, 18 – Final (5 Inn.) – King Philip pushed across six runs in the first inning and then blew the game wide open with 10 runs in the third inning to knock off visiting Milford. Junior Emma Sheehan tossed a five-inning no-hitter for the hosts, allowing just two walks while striking out nine In the circle Charlotte Raymond (four RBI, two runs), Meg Sherwood (home run, three RBI, two runs), and Mia Bennett (RBI, run) each collected three hits on the day. Maddie Paschke (two RBI, three runs), Paige Berdos (four RBI, two runs) and Libby Walsh (two RBI, three runs) each added two hits for KP, who totaled 18 hits as a team.

Canton, 1 @ North Attleboro, 12 – Final – North Attleboro bounced back from its second loss of the season with a big win against Canton. Zoey McDonough went the distance to get the win, allowing only three hits and striking out 11. Kelly Colleran went 4-for-4 and blasted a three-run homer. Shaelyn Burns added a three-run homer of her own, and went 3-for-3 with a walk. Belle Clarkin had a pair of hits and drove in two. Emily Nardelli had a hit and scored twice and Grace Simmons had a hit and an RBI and Mandi Hanewich made a great diving catch in center for the Rocketeers.

Sharon, 2 @ Oliver Ames, 8 – Final – Oliver Ames sophomore Katie Melendy had a day to remember, earning the win in the circle and helping her cause with a big day at the plate. Melendy struck out 10 in a complete game effort with no earned runs allowed on six hits. Offensively, she helped herself out by driving in three runs. Katherine Farley added two hits, two RBI, and two runs, Lexi Galsband added two hits, an RBI, and a run scored. Grace Simone chipped in with three hits and two runs and Kalei Clark crossed home three runs in the win. Trinity Payne and Ally Foulsham both recorded four strikeouts in the circle and Payne and Savannah Gray scored the runs for the Eagles.

Franklin, 19 @ Oliver Ames, 2 – Final – Franklin continued its unbeaten start to the season with a win on the road over Oliver Ames. Sophomore Luke Davis registered four goals and four assists to pace the Panthers, Matt Lazzaro added six assists, Jayden Consigli added three goals and one helper, and Justin Abely added three goals. Remi Creighton scored both goals for Oliver Ames.

Sharon, 9 @ King Philip, 8 – Final (OT) – Sharon’s Adam Rabb turned aside 19 shots, Ben Shocket won all but one faceoff and the Eagles picked up an overtime win on the road over King Philip. Brady Daylor had a team-high four goals, Drew Litner notched a hat trick, and Ryan Brown and Aaron Livshin each scored once.

Attleboro @ North Attleboro, 5:30

Milford, 9 @ Canton, 13 – Final – Milford trimmed the deficit to just two at 8-6 but the Bulldogs pulled away to get the win. For the Scarlet Hawks, sophomore Carly Haley scored a hat trick, juniors Aislinn Bennett and Stephanie Goulet each scored two goals, sophomore Emily Croteau found the back of the net once, and senior defender Katie Maietta scored her first career varsity goal.

Taunton, 6 @ Foxboro, 20 – Final – Foxboro jumped out to a 13-4 lead in the first half, scored 20 goals for the second game in a row, and extended its win streak to eight straight. Paige Curran led the way for the Warriors with five goals and three assists and fellow sophomore Mya Waryas chipped in with four goals. Lilly Vey had three goals and three assists. Mary Collins had two goals and three assists, Dylan Rappoli had two goals and two assists, Ella Waryas had two goals and an assist, and Kate Collins and Val Beigel each scored once. Maddie Maher made one save in the win.

Franklin, 18 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – Final – For OA, head coach Gen Rogan praised the play of both Reese Pereira (offensively) and Hailey Bourne (defensively).

Sharon, 6 @ King Philip, 15 – Final – KP rebounded from a two-game losing streak (both to Franklin) and got back in the win column against Sharon. Julia Marsden (five goals) and Haley Izydorczak (four goals, assist) each had five points in the win, Lily Brown added four goals, Morgan Cunningham added a pair of goals and assists, and Peyton Mellman scored once for KP. Jenna Goldstein continued her strong season for the Eagles with four goals and four draw controls. Cass Barbera scored once and Vivian Pedicone added her first varsity goal. Tess Letendre made 12 saves for the Eagles.

Canton, 4 @ North Attleboro, 1 – Final – Canton picked up its biggest win of the season with a 4-1 decision on the road. Suraj Ramanathan battled to a 6-3, 6-1 win at first double, Max Kupferman prevailed 6-3, 7-5 at second singles, and Minh Duong outlasted his opponent to earn a 6-3,3-6,6-4 win at third singles. North Attleboro’s Brody Carter and Niteesh Saravanan picked up a 6-2, 7-6 (7) decision at second doubles.

Stoughton, 2 @ Foxboro, 3 – Final – Foxboro’s depth was on display as the Warriors picked up wins at second and third singles plus a win at first doubles. Justine Neale earned a hard-fought win at second singles at 7-5, 6-2, junior Bo Cainfield picked up a 6-4, 6-2 win at third singles and the team of senior Jason Kandula and freshman Justin Kandula knocked off their opponents 6-4, 6-2 at first doubles. Stoughton’s Waseem Sablon rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles while the second duos team of Murtaza Khalil and Ben Dias secured a 6-0, 6-4 victory.

Taunton, 0 @ Franklin, 5 – Final – The Kelley-Rex leading Panthers took care of business in another division win, this time sweeping visiting Taunton. Liam Marr (first singles), Vayshnav Malhotra (second), Drew Mahoney (third) and the team of Thomas Broyles and Jay Gorgas (second doubles) all won by the same 6-0, 6-0 score. Anish Gundimeda and Sameen Shaik picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win at first doubles.

Sharon, 5 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – Final

Milford, 1 @ King Philip, 4 – Final – King Philip defended home court with a singles sweep, adding one more win in doubles action, to beat visiting Milford. In doubles play, junior Diego Meto and sophomore Nate Ihley battled to a 7-6 (7-2), 6-1 win at first doubles for KP while Milford’s Connor MacLeod and Leo Donnelly won 2-6, 2-6 at second doubles. In singles action, senior Nick Putney didn’t drop a game at first singles, Brady Jannell picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win at second singles, and sophomore Jackson Hem was on the winning side of a 6-0, 6-3 decision.




Girls Tennis
Mansfield, 4 @ Attleboro, 1 – Final – Mansfield earned a pair of wins in both singles and doubles action to claim a win on the road over the Bombardiers. Senior Alex Burnham battled to a 6-3, 6-4 win at first singles and junior Kate Martin claimed a 6-2, 6-2 win at third singles for the Hornets. The team of Sarah Harrington and Alexis O’Keefe prevailed in a three-set thriller 6-4, 2-6, 6-0 at first doubles while the team of Ally McDavitt and Caroline Gurauvage secured a 6-2, 7-7 (7-6) victory at second doubles.

North Attleboro, 2 @ Canton, 3 – Final – By taking wins in two of the three singles matches and one of the two doubles matches, Canton successfully defended home court with a 3-2 decision over the Rocketeers. Rachel Kupferman rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles, Laura Correal earned a 6-2, 6-3 win at second singles, and the team of Lily Hazam and Olivia Durham walked away with a 6-1, 6-1 win at first doubles. North Attleboro’s Teresa Fan came away with a 7-6 (3), 10-6 win at second singles and the second doubles pairing of Lauren Constantino and Kyra Sha prevailed 6-4, 5-7 10-7.

Foxboro, 3 @ Stoughton, 2 – Final – Foxboro leaned on its singles players to secure a 3-2 win on the road over Stoughton. Athena Li picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win at first singles, Pam Nelson was victorious 6-0, 6-1 win at second singles, and Sarah Prag picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win at third singles. Stoughton’s first doubles team of Brooke Bulger and Emily Pham-Nguyen emerged with a 7-6 (4), 4-6, 10-7 win at first doubles while the pairing of Nadia Prokopiuk and Emilia Lada earned a 6-2, 6-3 win at second doubles.

Franklin, 0 @ Taunton, 5 – Final – Taunton defended home court by winning all five matches against visiting Franklin. Jocelyn Pagliuca secured a 6-2, 6-4 win at first singles, Kayla Parrett added a 6-1, 6-2 win at second singles, and Cayeesha Charles earned a 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 win at third singles. Brooke Bell and Sam Parrett teamed up for a 6-1, 7-5 win at first doubles while Morgan Smith and Courtney Martin prevailed 6-0, 6-2 at second singles.

Oliver Ames, 1 @ Sharon, 4 – Final – The Eagles won all three of the singles matches and added another point from doubles play to get the win at home. Navya Shukla won 6-2, 6-3 at first singles, Allie Aguilar didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles, and Hannah Faberman earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at third singles. Sree Dandy and Sasha Fein teamed up for a 6-4, 6-1 win at second doubles for the Eagles. OA’s Caroline Peper and Morgan Vasiliou earned a 7-5, 6-2 win at second doubles.

King Philip, 5 @ Milford, 0 – Final – King Philip went on the road and won all five matches in straight sets to knock off Milford. Katarina Schneider (first singles), Mia Valencia (second singles), and the team of Amanda vanRoon and Dilara Onur (second doubles) all won by a 6-0, 6-0 score. Sammie Taylor locked up a 6-0, 6-4 win at third singles while Ahunna James teamed with Shea Mellman for a 6-0, 6-1 win at first doubles.




Boys Volleyball
Taunton, 3 @ Durfee, 0 – Final – Taunton took care of business on the road with a 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 15-7) sweep on the road over the Hilltoppers. Tyler Stewart (17 kills, eight digs) and Jakob Thorpe (12 kills, four digs) and Faisal Mass (six kills, three blocks) paced the offense for the visitors while Travis Nunes (nine digs, two aces) played well defensively.

Franklin, 33 @ North Attleboro, 30 – Final – Franklin’s Matt Walker earned an 8-2 decision in the heavyweight bout to give the Panthers a win on the road over North in a battle of Hockomock wrestling elites. Jake Carlucci (132) and Nolan Sheridan (220) each had pinfall victories for the Panthers while Drew DiFilippo (120, 10-1 major decision), Alex Fracassa (160, tech fall), and Liam Cogavin (195, 6-4 decision) also won for Franklin. Andrew Faris (138, fall), Ethan Smith (145, 3-0), Chris Galligan (152, fall), Dylan Vigstol (170, fall), and Greg Berthiaume (182, 4-2) all won for North Attleboro.

Milford, 2 @ Attleboro, 4 – Final – Milford senior Wes Solomon dazzled in a complete game effort to lead the Hawks to a win on the road, sweeping the season series with the Bombardiers. Solomon allowed two runs with just two walks issued, striking out nine for the win.

Sharon, 3 @ Canton, 1 – Final – Sharon’s Dan Fishman and JD Rittenberg combined for a stellar pitching performance, allowing just one unearned run to help the Eagles split the season series with Canton. Fishman allowed just one hit in five innings of work with no earned runs allowed striking out two for the win. Rittenberg came in to close the door with two innings of work, striking out four. Offensively, Nate Yaffe had a pair of hits and scored a pair of runs, Dan Zagoren drove in a run, and Rittenberg drove in the other two for Sharon.

Foxboro, 2 @ Oliver Ames, 13 – Final – Oliver Ames had its best offensive outing of the season, pushing across 13 runs to earn a win over Foxboro to split the season series. The Tigers scored two runs in each of the first three innings and then broke it open with a seven-run fourth inning. Jake Waxman was 2-for-3 including a home run, finishing with three RBI and two runs scored. Will Whiteside added a triple two RBI, and two runs, and Jack Morley found success from the nine-hole in his varsity debut with a hit, two walks, two stolen bases, and two runs scored. Matt Nigro earned the win on the mound, allowing just four hits and two walks in a five-inning complete game effort. He finished with just two runs allowed and six strikeouts. Tom Marcucella had two hits for Foxboro while Ryan LeClair and Sean Yoest each had an RBI.

Franklin, 13 @ King Philip, 8 – Final – Franklin’s offense stayed scorching hot to start the season, pushing across double-digit runs for the third straight game and fourth in the last five contests. Ryan Gerety (triple, three runs, RBI) and Nate Goode (double, triple, two RBI, three runs) spearheaded the attack with three hits apiece while Chris Goode (triple, two RBI, run), Jake Fitzgibbons (three RBI, double), and Jack Marino (two runs, two RBI) each had two hits. Jacob Jette got the win on the mound, allowing four runs while striking out seven.

Taunton, 5 @ Mansfield, 3 – Final – Taunton went on the road and grabbed their second straight win over the Hornets, clinching the series against their division rival. Senior Danny MacDougall earned the win on the mound, allowing three runs (one earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out six. Shawn Cali came in for a scoreless inning of relief for the save. Offensively, Taunton put up two runs in the top of the first inning only for Mansfield to respond with two runs of its own. The Tigers went back ahead for good with three in the top of the third inning. Ty Cali drove in a pair of runs and scored twice, MacDougall helped his own cause with an RBI and a run scored, and Evan Cali had an RBI and two walks. Mansfield senior Ben Mintz went 2-for-3 with two RBI while Anthony Sacchetti also had an RBI. Freshman Jake Maydak had a strong relief appearance for the hosts, allowing just one hit and five walks, striking out five in five innings of work.

Stoughton, 0 @ North Attleboro, 8 – Final – North Attleboro knocked off Stoughton at Community Field to split the season series. Dennis Colleran continued to impress, picking up his third win of the season after a complete game effort with just two hits allowed. Retiring the side in order in each the third and the seventh, Colleran finished with 11 strikeouts. Offensively, the Big Red got a big boost from sophomore Derek Maceda, who had two hits and two RBI. Danny Curran added two hits while Gavin Wells and Justin Vecchiarelli each drove in a run.

Softball
Attleboro, 12 @ Milford, 0 – Final – The Bombardiers collected 20 hits as a team and Lora Woyton had her second straight strong performance in the circle as Attleboro completed a sweep of Milford. Woyton allowed just three hits while striking out nine in the win. Hailey and Lindsey Perry each smacked a home run, combining for six hits and five runs. Gabby Bosh, Lauren Eby, and Woyton each added three hits while Kayla Goldrick had a pair of doubles.

Oliver Ames, 10 @ Foxboro, 5 – Final – Oliver Ames’ offense roared to life with a nine-run second inning to break into the win column with a victory over Foxboro. Taylor Lake (1-for-2, run) and Katherine Farley (1-for-3, double, run) each had two RBI on the day and Maddie Homer scored two runs for OA. Lexi Galsband (2-for-5) and Madison Monteiro each had an RBI and a run scored in the second as well. Emma Varella pitched a complete game with four strikeouts for OA and helped her cause offensively by going 3-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI.

King Philip, 8 @ Franklin, 3 – Final – King Philip got off to another strong start with a pair of runs in the first inning and went on to score in the third, fifth, and seventh to complete the sweep of Franklin. Charlotte Raymond had another stellar showing at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a double and a triple, knocking in one run and scoring three times. Sophomores Libby Walsh (home run, two RBI, two runs) and Sarah Cullen (two runs) each added two hits for the visitors while Meg Sherwood slapped a two-run triple and had a sacrifice fly to score a run. KP had a strong showing defensively behind pitcher Emma Sheehan.

Canton, 11 @ Sharon, 4 – Final – Sharon led 4-1 heading to the top of the sixth, but the Bulldogs rallied with 10 runs over the final two innings to secure the win and the sweep of the Eagles. Taylor Reynolds had another big game at the plate, going 2-for-4 and driving in four runs. Steph Trendell also went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI and Abby Chin made a great catch at a crucial time in the game to help the Bulldogs grab the win. Freshman Jess Wright allowed one run over five innings, earning the win in her first career appearance. Trinity Payne went 2-for-2 at the plate and also struck out four as the Sharon starter. Savannah Gray was 2-for-4 and drove in two of Sharon’s four runs.

Mansfield, 0 @ Taunton, 9 – Final – Kelsey White continued her dominant season and Taunton recorded a fifth shutout in six games, having allowed only two runs so far this season. White allowed only one hit over seven innings, struck out 16, and walked none to pick up her fifth win. Angie Lynch (RBI, run) and Hanna Aldrich (RBI, two runs) each had a pair of hits for the Tigers and Callie Lake had the lone hit for the Hornets.

North Attleboro, 5 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – North trailed 1-0 in the top of the sixth inning but tied the game when Kelly Colleran scored on a passed ball. In the seventh, the Rocketeers rallied with four runs to secure the win. Emma Bailey, Chloe Mearn, and Mandi Hanewich all singled to load the bases. Emily Nardelli plated the game-winning run with a sac fly and then Colleran’s base hit scored a second run. The throw to the plate got away and Hanewich and Colleran were able to come around and score as well to add important insurance runs. Zoey McDonough tossed a complete game with 10 strikeouts to pick up the win. Nardelli also made a couple of big plays in the field, being part of two double plays.




Boys Lacrosse
Oliver Ames, 4 @ King Philip, 17 – Final – For Oliver Ames, Ross Carroll scored a pair of goals, Remi Creighton scored once and had an assist, and Dillon Cupples picked up his first career goal and played “a fantastic overall game” according to head coach Ben Devlin.

Girls Lacrosse
Oliver Ames, 4 @ King Philip, 7 – Final – Click here for a Photo Gallery from this game. Lily Brown scored four goals, two in each half, and the KP defense was on top of its game to pick up the home win and remain unbeaten this season. Peyton Mellman opened the scoring three minutes into the game and then Brown double KP’s advantage from a Morgan Cunningham assist. OA started to pile on the pressure in the second quarter but KP goalie Emily Campbell made a series of big saves to keep the Tigers off the board and preserve the 2-0 lead going into halftime. Emma Pereira took advantage of a quick self-start to get free and cut the lead to one in the third quarter. Brown and Cunningham scored back-to-back goals to push the KP lead out to three, but then Georgia Costello scored the first of her three goals on a free position in the final minute of the third. Emma O’Donnell had a strong quarter with a couple of big stops. Brown completed her hat trick with a bounced shot but then Costello matched it just 31 seconds later. Freshman Nicole McDonald went one on four on a transition and managed to pick the bottom corner and then Brown added another for a 7-3 lead. Costello scored on another free position with four minutes to go, but the Tigers got no closer.




Boys Tennis
Attleboro @ Milford, 3:45

Canton, 0 @ Sharon, 5 – Final – Sharon senior Max Chen filled in at second singles and emerged with a hard-fought win as the Eagles completed a sweep of visiting Canton. Chen fought back from a one-set deficit to earn a 5-7, 7-6, 10-8 win. Sophomore Mehul Bhattacharyya secured a win at first singles while Matthew Lally moved to third singles and notched a 3-6, 6-0, 6-2 win. Sharon won both doubles matches in straight sets.

Oliver Ames, 1 @ Foxboro, 4 – Final – Foxboro completed its season sweep of Oliver Ames, this time taking a 4-1 decision at home. The Warriors won all three singles matches in straight sets with junior Garrett Spillane picking up a 7-6 (7-0), 6-1 win at first singles, senior Justin Neale recording a 6-0, 6-1 win at second singles, and junior Bo Canfield picking up a 6-2, 6-1 win at third singles. The team of seniors Jason Kandula and David Marroquin emerged with a 6-3, 6-1 win at first doubles for Foxboro while Oliver Ames freshmen duo Kahlil Bandran and Jiva Segaran won 6-1, 6-1 at second doubles.

Franklin, 5 @ King Philip 0 – Final

King Philip, 0 @ Franklin, 5 – Final – Franklin picked up two wins on the day, finishing up its match with KP that was postponed from Monday. The Panthers prevailed 5-0 in both matches, winning in straight sets in each match. Liam Marr won both of his matches at first singles (6-3, 6-3 & 6-1, 6-0), Vayshnav Malhotra won twice at second singles (6-1, 4-1 (def) & 6-0, 6-0), and Drew Mahoney took care of business at third singles (6-0, 6-2 & 6-1, 6-3). Franklin’s first doubles team of Anish Gundimeda and Sameen Shaik won both of their matches in straight sets (6-1, 6-2 & 6-4, 6-0) while the duo of Thomas Broyles and Jay Gorgas lost just one total game in its four sets played (6-0, 6-1 & 6-0, 6-0).

North Attleboro, 4 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – North Attleboro and Stoughton completed their weather-delayed match from Monday and then clashed again on the new courts at Stoughton, and the Rocketeers prevailed victorious in both. North had the same lineup in both matches and swept doubles in both matches. The team of Connor Willis and Sayf Siddiq won their first match 6-0, 6-4 and took the second one 6-2, 6-1 while North’s second doubles team of Brody Carter and Niteesh Saravanan earned a 6-2, 6-1 win on Monday and a 6-0, 6-1 victory on Tuesday. Will Folan prevailed victorious in both of his matches at third singles (6-0, 6-0 & 6-2, 6-3) and, after not finishing a set on Monday, Sam Gallagher prevailed with a 1-6, 6-2, 10-7 win at second singles. Stoughton senior Waseem Sablon won both first singles matches, the first 6-0, 6-2 and the second 6-1, 6-0.




Girls Tennis
Milford, 1 @ Attleboro, 4 – Final – Attleboro swept doubles play and didn’t drop a game at either first or second singles to defend home court against visiting Milford. Ella Lynch-Bartek and Lauren Anthony each won 6-0, 6-0 at first and second singles, respectively. In doubles action, junior Saharla Yusuf and freshman Maddie Fulscado secured a 6-1, 6-3 win at first doubles while senior Lauren Alberto and junior Ally Rebelo prevailed with a 6-1, 6-0 win at second doubles. Milford’s Lavinia Mocenni rallied from a one-set deficit to earn a 4-6, 7-6 (7-4), 11-9 win at third singles.

Aryanna Khosravini rallied for 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 win at second singles while the team of Ally McDavitt and Caroline Guravage bounced back from a one-set deficit to earn a 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 win at second doubles. Mansfield also got wins from Kate Martin (6-2, 6-0) at third singles and Sarah Harrington and Alexis O’Keefe (6-2, 6-3) at first singles. Taunton’s Jocelyn Pagliuca earned a 6-3, 6-2 win at first singles for the Tigers.

The Big Red won two matches in singles action and swept both doubles matches to get the win. Haley Strom secured a 6-1, 6-1 win at second singles while Lauren Hunt didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at third singles. The team of juniors Lauren Consentino and Kyna Sha rallied from a one-set deficit to win 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 at first doubles while junior Julia Curren and freshman Aroushka Banerjee won 7-5, 6-3 at second doubles. Stoughton’s Allie Lada picked up a 6-4, 6-1 win at first singles.

Sharon, 73 @ Canton, 62 – Final – For Canton, Kyle Downing had a trio top three finishes, including a win in the 1 Mile race, while Sam Vail finished first in the javelin (99’1″). Downing crossed the finish line at 4:56.8 to win the mile, took second overall in the 800M (2:14.8), and was third in the high jump (5’0).

Taunton, 3 vs. North Quincy, 2 – Final – Taunton completed a big come-from-behind win to knock off North Quincy in five sets and stay unbeaten on the year. Colin MacDougal and Faisal Mass stepped up to provide pivotal front row defense down the stretch to help secure the win. Tyler Stewart was hard to stop with 28 kills, 15 digs, four blocks, and four assists, Jakob Thorpe added eight kills, 11 digs, and four aces, and Mattia Casagrande chipped in with 11 kills. Travis Nunes played well defensively with 10 digs while Daniel Medina finished with 46 assists and seven digs.

Sharon, 40 @ Taunton, 27 – Final – Sharon won eight total matches, including five by pinfall, to earn a win on the road over Taunton. Cameron Birnbaum (126), Aaron Cashton (145), Philip Varvak (170), Alex Danilkovas (195) and Erik Rabin (285) all recorded pinfall victories for the Eagles while Connor Pfeifer (120, 12-4), Nasaiah Teixeira (152, 6-5), and Cormac Horlbogen (182, 3-2) each won by decision. Cam Foster, Matt McMahon, and Jake Gorman led the offensive charge for the hosts with three hits apiece while Eric Laurila scored three runs. Gorman also picked up the win on the mound.

Canton, 12 @ Taunton, 8 – Final – Locked in a one-run game through three innings, Canton’s offense caught fire in the top of the fourth inning with nine runs in an offensive packed win on the road at Taunton. Sawyer Julier-Albert clubbed three hits, including a double and a triple, with three RBI and two runs scored while Nico Bonnano had one RBI and one run scored on three hits to pace the Bulldogs’ offense, which totaled 13 hits. Steven Burbank and Matt Quan both drove in a pair of runs with two hits apiece, scoring once in the win. Taunton junior Dawson Bryce had a team-high three hits, driving in two runs and scoring twice.

Jette issued three walks while striking out eight to earn the win. Jack Marino and Ben Jarosz each went 1-for-2 for the Panthers, driving in a pair of runs while scoring once themselves. Chris Goode added an RBI and two runs scored while freshman Henry DiGiorgio had a hit, a walk, an RBI, and a run scored. North’s Gavin Wells came in with a pinch-hit to break up the no-hitter in the top of the fifth.

Sharon, 5 @ Mansfield, 6 – Final – Mansfield struck for three runs in the bottom of the fifth to prevail in a see-saw battle with visiting Sharon for the Hornets’ third win of the season. The hosts jumped out to a three-run lead in the bottom of the second inning but the Eagles responded by pushing across five in the top of the third to seize the lead. Cody Geddis clubbed a two-run single in the bottom of the fifth to help put the hosts ahead for good. Junior Jared Fraone drove in two runs with a double in the game while Anthony Sacchetti had the other RBI for the Hornets, who had seven hits total and drew four walks. Luke Urban added two hits in the win. Mansfield senior Ben Mintz earned the win in relief, tossing 4.1 scoreless innings with just one two hits and one walked allowed, striking out three. For Sharon, Nate Yaffe went 3-for-3 with two RBI while Ethan Pototsky (hit, run, two walks) and Justin Brown (RBI, run) each helped contribute to the scoring.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ King Philip, 7 – Final – King Philip pushed across three runs in the third, one more in the fourth, and put the game out of reach with three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Shawn Lagere reached base four times for the hosts, drawing two walks along with a double and scored three times to help spark the KP offense. Conor Cooke added two hits, scoring both twice while Eli Reed had a triple in the sixth and came in to score. Jake Burns allowed two runs in four innings of work while Tommy Martarano tossed three innings with one run allowed. For OA, Joe Cicchetti (RBI), Nate Fulford, and Patrick Finnerty each had extra bases hits, Jadon Ricci chipped in with a pair of hits, and Jake Waxman and Nate Carpentier each drove in a run.

Stoughton, 10 @ Milford, 4 – Final – Stoughton’s offense set the tone early with four runs in the top of the first and pulled away with three more in the fifth and two in the top of the sixth to secure a win on the road at Fino Field. Offensively, Brandon Mantilla-Mercado led the way going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI for the Black Knights, Kyle Doolin added two hits with two runs and two RBI, and Brady Conlin scored twice on a pair of walks. Doolin pitched into the sixth inning to earn the win, allowing three earned runes on six hits and four walks, striking out six. Jonah Ly tossed 1.1 innings of scoreless relief to close the door.

Attleboro, 6 @ Foxboro, 3 – Final

Franklin, 1 @ North Attleboro, 13 – Final (6 Inn.) – Zoey McDonough had her second strong start of the season, picking up the win with six strikeouts and just one walk over six innings. McDonough also showed resilience by pitching well with runners on base. Kelly Colleran continued to dominate at the plate with another three hits (her fourth straight game with at least three hits to start her varsity career). She was 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI. Ally Levine also went 3-for-4 with a double and drove in four runs. Emily Nardelli had a pair of hits and made a nice running catch in shallow right field. Belle Clarkin and Chloe Mearn both has strong games defensively at the corners. Julia Forman capped the game with a deep drive that scored Maddie Bailey.

Taunton, 21 @ Canton, 0 – Final (5 Inn.) – Taunton continued its perfect start to the season and recorded its third shutout in four games. After plating one in the top of the first, the Tigers exploded for 10 runs in the second inning to break the game open, added four more in the third, and then six in the fourth. Taunton pounded out 23 hits as a team. Kyleah Plumb went 3-for-4, scored twice, and drove in three runs, Hanna Aldrich went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI, Kelsey White went 3-for-3 with a homer, four RBI, and three runs scored, Tayah DaCosta was 3-for-4 with two RBI, two doubles, and four runs scored, and Hayley Krockta went 3-for-3 with four RBI and three runs scored. White also got the start in the circle, allowing one hit and striking out nine in three innings. Olivia Mendonca pitched the final two innings for Taunton. Sarah Kelly and Taylor Reynolds had Canton’s two hits in the loss.

Mansfield, 11 @ Sharon, 1 – Final – Mansfield bounced back after a pair of losses and got back to .500 on the season with the road win. The Hornets didn’t get going until the fourth inning when they took advantage of three hits and aggressive base running to score three runs. Mansfield added five runs on five hits in the fourth and then tacked on three more in the sixth. Casey Moussette went 3-for-4 and Olivia Madeira and Callie Lake both had a pair of hits, including a triple apiece. Lake also had an outfield assist, throwing a runner out at the plate from center field in the third inning. Alanna Conley, Ashlyn Conley, Nicole Kobasa, Molly Kucharski, and Liv DeTrolio each had a hit for the Hornets. Trinity Payne started for Sharon and struck out eight, while also scoring the lone run for the Eagles. Ally Foulsham went 3-for-4 in the loss.

King Philip, 18 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – Final – King Philip continued its torrid start to the season under new head coach Kate Fallon, earning its fourth win in a row to begin the 2021 campaign. The Warriors clubbed 22 hits as a team with Sarah Cullen (three RBI, triple, two runs), Maddie Paschke (two runs), and Meg Sherwood (two runs) each collecting three hits on the day. Sophomore Libby Walsh drove in four runs on two hits, including a home run, and Jordan Bennett knocked in three runs on two hits, including a triple. Caitlin Miller blasted a fifth-inning home run for the Tigers while Katherine Farley and Emma Varella each had a hit for OA.




Boys Lacrosse
North Attleboro, 10 @ Oliver Ames, 6 – Final – North Attleboro earned a season sweep over division foe Oliver Ames with a 10-6 win on the road. For the Tigers, sophomore goalie Noah Isleib made 21 saves, Ross Carroll found the back of the net four times, and Remi Creighton had two assists and one goal.

Girls Lacrosse
Oliver Ames, 4 @ North Attleboro, 9 – Final – After letting the lead slip away in the final minute on the road, North Attleboro bounced back with a big defensive performance to knock off OA and split the season series. OA head coach Gen Rogan praised the effort of goalie Emma O’Donnell in the second half as well as the defensive unit of Emilee Nuss, Lili Lozano, and Taylor McAndrew.

Foxboro, 16 @ Sharon, 3 – Final – Sophomore Paige Curran scored six goals and assisted on another to lead the Warriors to a second straight win over division rival Sharon. Ella Waryas added a hat trick and Lilly Vey scored twice and had an assist, while Maddie Maher made five saves in the win. Jenna Goldstein had a pair of goals and Molly McAlevey had the other for the Eagles, who got nine saves from goalie Tess Letendre.




Boys Tennis
Attleboro, 1 @ Foxboro, 4 – Final – Foxboro swept all three singles matches in straight sets and picked up another win in doubles action to break into the win column for the 2021 campaign. Garrett Spillane picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win at first singles, Justin Neale didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles, and Jason Kandula earned a 6-1, 6-0 win at third singles. The team of Bo Canfield and Justin Kandula emerged with a 6-4, 6-2 win at first doubles for Foxboro. Attleboro’s Alejandro Jimenez and Tyler Rocchio won 6-0, 6-3 at second doubles.

Taunton, 0 @ Canton, 5 – Final – Canton defended home court with a sweep over visiting Taunton to move to 4-0 on the season. Junior Suraj Ramanathan, freshman Max Kupferman, and senior Minh Duong all won in singles action for the Bulldogs. Sophomores Jorge Nebril Gayubo and Jad Antoun emerged with a victory at first doubles in a third set tie-breaker while junior Kevin Moltenbrey and sophomore Davis Lamb won at second doubles.

Franklin, 5 @ North Attleboro, 0 – Final – In a battle of two of the top teams from each division, Franklin secured a pair of three-set tiebreaker wins and won three more in straight sets to beat the Rocketeers on the road. Liam Marr impressed in a 6-1, 6-1 win at first singles while juniors Vayshnav Malhotra and Drew Mahoney came away with wins after a third-set tiebreaker. Malhotra battled back to win 3-6, 6-1, 10-4 while Mahoney also came back from a first-set deficit with a 2-6, 6-2, 11-9 win. Senior Anish Gundimeda and junior Sameen Shaik prevailed with a 6-3, 6-4 win at first doubles while junior Thomas Broyles and freshman Jay Gorgas had a strong showing in a 6-0, 6-0 win at second doubles.

King Philip, 5 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – Final – King Philip went on the road to Easton and won all five matches to get its first victory of the season. Senior Nick Putney didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles, junior Brady Jannek earned a 6-3, 6-2 win at second singles, and junior Jon Cohen picked up a 6-1, 6-3 win at third singles. The team of Jackson Hom and Connor Sachleben secured a 6-1, 6-0 win at first doubles while Noah Ihley paired with Adam Gousie for a 6-1, 6-1 win at second doubles.

Milford, 1 @ Stoughton, 4 – Final – Stoughton won in straight sets in all three singles matches and added another win in doubles play to defend home court against visiting Milford. Waseem Sablon was impressive in a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles while Rayan Sablon replicated that success at second singles with the same score. Junior Anish Sinha added a 6-0, 6-1 at third singles while the team of Murtaza Khalil and Ben Dias picked up a 6-3, 6-2 win at second doubles.

Mansfield, 1 @ Sharon, 4 – Final – Sharon junior Ruemon Bhattacharyya emerged with a hard-fought win at first singles as the Eagles swept singles play in a win against visiting Mansfield. Bhattacharyya earned a 6-3, 7-5 win, freshman Mehul Bhattacharyya didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles while junior Max Chen secured a 6-1, 6-2 win at third singles. Juniors Mitch Weiss and Jonah Nathan added a 6-1, 6-3 win at second doubles for the Eagles. Seniors Kai Schirmacher and Nikhil Lankipalle prevailed at first doubles 6-4, 3-6, 10-8.

Foxboro, 4 @ Attleboro, 1 – Final – Foxboro continued its dominance in singles action and added one more win in doubles play in a road win at Attleboro. Athena Li (first singles) and Pam Nelson (second singles) each walked away with a 6-0, 6-0 win while Sarah Prag took home a 6-1, 6-1 win at third singles. Maggie McAuliffe and Abby Costa added another win for the Warriors with a 6-0, 5-7, 6-0 decision at first doubles. Attleboro’s Emma Pion and Olivia Meier emerged with a 7-5, 6-2 win at second doubles.

Canton, 3 @ Taunton, 2 – Final – Canton’s Laura Correal prevailed with a three-set win at second doubles to help the Bulldogs pick up a win on the road. Correal secured a 6-2, 0-6, 6-2 win for the deciding point, Rachel Kupferman (first singles, 6-0, 6-0) and the first doubles team of Lily Hazam and Olivia Durham (7-5, 6-3) also picked up wins for the visitors. Cayeesha Charles won 6-1, 6-1 at third singles for Taunton while the team of Morgan Smith and Riley Roderick earned a 6-4, 7-5 win at second doubles.

North Attleboro, 1 @ Franklin, 4 – Final – Taking two wins in singles play and two more in doubles, Franklin defended home court against visiting North Attleboro. Junior Vedika Vinayak rallied for a 0-6, 7-5, 6-3 win at first singles while freshman Hailey Morin took home a 6-3, 6-2 win at second singles. Juniors Jessica Pingeton and Chloe Barca battled back to secure a 0-6, 6-3, 6-2 win at first doubles while junior Amulya Jayam and sophomore Shriya Rajesh prevailed victorious at second doubles, 6-4, 6-3. North Attleboro’s Lauren Hunt won 6-7, 6-3, 6-0 at third singles.

OA’s second doubles team of Kate McLaughlin and Grace House prevailed with a third-set tiebreaker win, 6-3, 3-6, 10-5.

Stoughton, 5 @ Milford, 0 – Final – Stoughton went on the road and won all five matches in straight sets to earn a sweep of host Milford. Brooke Bulger picked up a 6-2, 7-5 win at first singles, Allie Lada didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 victory at second singles, and Lena Allie battled for a 6-2, 6-3 win at third singles. Franklin, 44 @ Mansfield, 92 – Final – Mansfield earned a sweep in three events and two first and second in two more to pick up a big win over Franklin. Jake Wall, who won four events, won the long jump at 22’9” with Xavier Manuel (19’2”) taking second and Dylan Buchanan (18’10”). The Hornets also swept the triple jump (Wall – 42’7.75”; Dana Johnson – 38’6.25”; Manuel – 36’10.25”) and the 110M hurdles (Buchanan – 16.3, Evan Rawlings – 18.4; Ryan Munroe – 18.5). In the 2 Mile race, Riley Tremblay crossed first in 10:42.8 with Tim Corkery (10:52.7) taking second while Jack Taylor (137’) and Stephen Saba (118’2”) took first and second, respectively, in the javelin. Wall added wins in the 100M (11.) and the 200M (22.6) while the Hornets also picked up wins from Caden Riley (52.5 – 400M), Aengus McGill (92’7” – discus), Charles Newcomb (39’8” – shot put) and the 4×100 relay team (DaSean Peters-Wolfe, Isaiah Kinds, Munroe, Buchanan – 45.4).

Milford, 78 @ Attleboro, 56 – Final – Attleboro picked up first place finishes from Elayna Marinelli (89’1”) in the shot put, Amber Masse (63’) in the discus, Kamsi Igbobi (32’11.5”) in the shot put, Cassondra Stuger (32’11.5”) in the triple jump, and Rebecca Rainey (4’8) in the high jump.

Franklin, 60 @ Mansfield, 76 – Final – Mansfield senior Tessa Lancaster won a pair of distance events and freshman Norah Puleo took first in one race while anchoring the final leg of a winning relay team as Mansfield beat Attleboro. Lancaster took first in both the 1 Mile (5:40.4) and the 2 Mile (12:36) while Puleo finished strong to earn first — and a PR — in the 800M (2:27.3). Puleo ran the final leg of Mansfield’s 4×400 relay team, joining Anna Darlington, Caitlin Dumouchel, and Rosie McIntyre to win in 4:14.3. Mansfield’s 4×100 relay team of Abigail Scott, Meghan Driscoll, Erika Penney, and Colleen Waters won in 50.8.
