Player of the Week: Megan Huntington, Attleboro Field Hockey

By HockomockSports.com Staff
Attleboro junior Megan Huntington has been selected as the HockomockSports.com Player of the Week, presented by Morse Insurance, for Sept. 8 through Sept. 14. Huntington is the second athlete chosen as Player of the Week for the 2025-26 school year.
Huntington played a key role in the Bombardiers having a perfect, three-win week and extending their win streak to four games. The junior forward scored four times and dished out three assists for Attleboro, which entered the week a game back of Franklin in the Kelley-Rex standings (and the teams face off on Wednesday at Tozier-Cassidy Field).
“Megan had a phenomenal week in front of the net setting up her teammates with carries down the sideline and finishing in front of the net,” said Attleboro coach Jessica Pink. “As a junior now, I am looking forward to seeing how she continues to push herself in all aspects of the game, elevate the team, and be a threat on the front line.”
Coming off a bounce-back win over Taunton, Attleboro started this week with an important 3-0 win at Mansfield. Huntington was one of three goal scorers for the Bombardiers in the game. Two days later, Huntington scored a hat trick as Attleboro rolled to a big win at home against Milford. Attleboro had a quick turnaround before traveling to Braintree, which came into the game with a 4-1 record. The Bombardiers scored in the final minute to pull out a 3-2 win, with Huntington setting up a pair of goals, including the game-winner.
The Player of the Week, presented by Morse Insurance, is selected by the HockomockSports.com staff. Nominations can be submitted throughout the week up until Saturday night at 8:00 PM. There may be a poll posted on Sunday with the nominations. The results of the poll influence the selection but do not strictly dictate the decision.
